Blockage detection system and blockage detection method

Abstract

To provide a blockage detection system and a blockage detection method capable of ensuring prevention of water leakage into a building by detecting a deposit deposited around a roof drain.SOLUTION: A blockage detection system 1 installed surrounding the opening of a roof drain comprises: a cover 2 having a top surface and a side surface permeated by water; first to fourth sensors 5A-5D that are attached to the side surface of the cover 2 and that output detection signals when they detect a deposit deposited outside the side surface; a determination unit 7a that receives the detection signals, determines presence of blockage caused by the deposit on the basis of the detection signals, and outputs at least a blockage presence signal indicating presence of the blockage; and a notification unit 9 that issues a warning upon reception of the blockage presence signal. The determination unit 7a determines that there is blockage when it receives the detection signals output from all the first to fourth sensors 5A-5D, and outputs the blockage presence signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
