Abstract

To provide a refrigerator capable of effectively suppressing viruses or bacteria.SOLUTION: A refrigerator comprises a housing, a light irradiation unit, an acquisition unit, and a control unit. The housing has a storage chamber. The light irradiation unit irradiates the inside of the storage chamber with light that has an effect of suppressing viruses or bacteria. The acquisition unit acquires irradiation destination information indicating a position or area in the storage chamber, which is to be irradiated with the light. The control unit controls irradiation of the light by the light irradiation unit based on the irradiation destination information acquired by the acquisition unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
