Abstract

The present invention relates to a folding box (1) for enclosing a medical device (2), the folding box having a bottom (10), a peripheral side wall (11) connected to the bottom (10) and having a rear wall (111) opposite a front wall (110), and a lid (12) hinged to the rear wall (111), whereby the lid (12) is pivotable in an open state of the folding box (1) and is joined to the side wall (11) in a closed state of the folding box (1), such that it cannot be pivotally opened, the lid (12) having an edge region (120a), the lid (12) having panels (120) forming said edge region (120a), the panels (120) being arranged to be in a folded position. and a lid (12) extending opposite the bottom (10) in the closed state of the folding box (1), a panel (120) comprising two front flaps (121) each connected to the panel (120) via a fold (121a), the edge region (120a) being disposed between the two front flaps (121), the two front flaps (121) being configured such that in the closed state of the folding box (1), the slot (113) is joined to the outer surface (110a) of the front wall (110), the edge region (120a) and the two front flaps (121). According to the invention, the folding box (1) comprises a slot (13) arranged between said edge region (120a) and the front wall (110) in the closed state of the folding box (1), through which a packaging information leaflet (14) can be inserted into the interior space (3) of the folding box (1).
