Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a towing vehicle having a towing device disposed at the rear for towing a cart used in commercial facilities, logistics facilities, etc. [Background technology]
[0002] In commercial facilities, logistics facilities, etc., various carts are used to transport goods and luggage. These carts are often pushed by humans, but in recent years, in order to solve the labor shortage, attempts have been made to use towing vehicles such as unmanned automated guided vehicles (AGVs) to tow these carts and transport them to the desired location.
[0003] Many such towing means and methods have been proposed in recent years (see Patent Documents 1 to 9). However, these conventionally proposed means for connecting the towed cart to a towing vehicle such as an automatic guided vehicle use special connecting methods such as pin connections and clamp connections, and the shape of the connecting part must be changed depending on the shape of the towed cart, making it difficult to tow various shapes of carts, and low versatility. In particular, when the towed cart is in the shape of a flatbed cart, there is practically no part to hook or clamp, making it difficult to create a simple and safe connection.
[0004] In addition, the conventional towing means for a bogie is based on the premise that the bogie and the towing vehicle are connected together. Therefore, when releasing the bogie from the towing vehicle, it is necessary to release the special connection, which is an extremely complicated and time-consuming process.
[0005] In response to this problem, the applicant has proposed a towing vehicle that can safely restrain and tow a bogie, even if the bogie takes various shapes, without directly connecting the towing vehicle and the bogie, by arranging a towing device for towing the bogie at the rear of the towing vehicle and surrounding both sides and each rear corner of the bogie with a bogie encircling bar extending rearward from the towing device (see Patent Documents 10 and 11). These towing vehicles enclose and restrain the bogie during towing, and release the bogie from the towing vehicle by moving the two side bars of the bogie encircling bar closer and farther apart in the width direction, or by moving the entire bogie encircling bar between an upper position and a lower horizontal position with the towing vehicle side as a fulcrum.
[0006] However, these towing vehicles require the two long side bars of the bogie encirclement bar to be moved widthwise apart or apart from each other in order to encircle and release the bogie, and the entire bogie encirclement bar must be moved between upper and lower positions, making the work extremely cumbersome and, even when automated, posing the problem of mechanical complexity. [0008] The present invention has been made to solve the problems of the prior art described above, and its object is to provide a towing vehicle having a towing device disposed at the rear for towing a bogie, which is capable of easily encircling and restraining the bogie when towing and releasing the bogie from the towing vehicle with an extremely simple mechanism. [Means for solving the problem]
[0009] As a result of extensive research in order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the inventors have discovered that, in a towing vehicle having a towing device located at the rear for towing a bogie, by providing two side bars extending rearward from the towing device as bogie surrounding bars that can respectively fit along each side of the bogie, and two rear bars that are continuous with these and can respectively fit along the inward direction from each corner of the rear of the bogie, and by configuring the tips of each of the two rear bars to be movable between an inner position and an outer position at the rear of the bogie, when the tips are in the inner position, the bogie can be surrounded and restrained and towed, and when the tips are in the outer position, the bogie can be released from the bogie surrounding bars of the towing vehicle, and thus the invention has been completed.
[0010] That is, the present invention has been completed based on the above findings, and has the following features (1) to (8). DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0013] Exemplary embodiments of a towing vehicle and a towing device disposed at the rear of the towing vehicle according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0014] The towing vehicle of the present invention is generally used in industries that handle sorting and delivery of goods, by disposing a towing device at the rear of the towing vehicle and towing a dolly with the towing device. The body of the towing vehicle is not particularly limited as long as it can tow the dolly by itself, but for example, an automated guided vehicle (AGV) is preferably used. The towing device is preferably configured to be detachable from the towing vehicle from the viewpoint of ease of storage and maintenance. The dolly is not particularly limited as long as it can load goods and has running wheels at the bottom, but it is preferable that the bottom on which the goods are placed has a generally rectangular planar shape, for example, a flat dolly, a six-wheel dolly, or a cage dolly. As the flat dolly, for example, one shown in FIG. 10 is used.
[0015] 1 and 2 are (a) a schematic plan view, (b) a schematic side view, (c) a schematic perspective view, and (d) a schematic rear view of an example of a towing vehicle of the present invention, in which the tips of the two rear bars are in an inner position in FIG. 1, and the tips of the two rear bars are in an outer position in FIG. 2. FIG. 3 shows a state in which the towing vehicle of FIG. 1 surrounds and restrains a dolly and can tow it, and FIG. 4 shows a state in which the towing vehicle of FIG. 2 can release the dolly. FIG. 5 shows a state in which the dolly is being removed from the towing vehicle of FIG. 2. (a) to (c) of FIGS. 3 to 5 are (a) a schematic plan view, (b) a schematic side view, and (c) a schematic perspective view.
[0016] In the drawings, 1 is a towing vehicle of the present invention, which may be, for example, a towing vehicle such as an automated guided vehicle (AGV). 2 is a dolly, and it is preferable that the bottom on which the dolly is placed has a rectangular shape as a whole. 3 is a towing device for towing the dolly 2, which is disposed at the rear of the towing vehicle 1. The towing device 3 has a dolly surrounding bar 4 extending backward from its rear part. The dolly surrounding bar 4 is basically for surrounding the dolly 2 from each side and each rear corner to the inside, and in order to perform this function, the dolly surrounding bar 4 is provided with two side bars 5 that can respectively fit along each side of the dolly 2, and two rear bars 6 that are formed continuously with the side bars 5 and can respectively fit along each rear corner of the dolly 2 to the inside. The towing vehicle 1 of the present invention does not directly connect the towing vehicle 1 and the dolly 2, so that the dolly 2 can be easily towed even if the dolly has various shapes, and there is no need to provide a towing means for the dolly itself.
[0017] The greatest feature of the towing vehicle 1 of the present invention is that the tip of each of the two rear bars 6 of the bogie encircling bar 4 is configured to be movable between an inner position and an outer position at the rear of the bogie 2 when viewed in a state in which the bogie 2 is surrounded by the bogie encircling bar 4. It is preferable that the two rear bars 6 can be fixed at the inner position and the outer position, respectively.
[0018] Here, the inner position at the rear of the bogie 2 is a position where the tips of the two rear bars 6 extend from the rear corners of the bogie 2 to the inside when the two side bars 5 are seen along the sides of the bogie 2 (in contact with or close to the sides). When the bogie encircling bar 4 is at this inner position, it can encircle the bogie 2 along the inside from each side of the bogie 2 and each rear corner connected to them, and when the towing vehicle 1 advances in the traveling direction while the bogie 2 is in the encircling state, the rear bar 6 of the bogie encircling bar 4 pushes the bogie 2 from the rear in the traveling direction, thereby towing the bogie 2 in the traveling direction. At this inner position, it is preferable that the tips of the two rear bars 6 protrude inward from the inner sides of the two side bars 5, and the distance between the tips of the two rear bars 6 is shorter than the width direction length at the rear of the bogie 2. For example, the rear bar 6 in Figs. 1 and 3 corresponds to this inner position.
[0019] Moreover, the outer position at the rear of the dolly 2 refers to a position where the tip of each of the two rear bars 6 is not at the rear of the dolly 2 (i.e., where each of the two rear bars 6 is not directly behind the dolly 2) when viewed in a state where the two side bars 5 are along the sides of the dolly 2 (in a state where they are in contact with or close to the sides), and when the dolly 2 is in this outer position, it can be removed and released outside the dolly surrounding bar 4. In this outer position, it is preferable that the tip of each of the two rear bars 6 does not protrude inward beyond the inner edges of the two side bars 5. This outer position corresponds to the rear bars 6 in Figures 2, 4 and 5, for example.
[0020] In the towing device 3 of the present invention, when towing the bogie 2, first, the tips of the two rear bars 6 of the bogie surrounding bar 4 are set to the outer position as shown in Fig. 2, and in this state, the bogie 2 is inserted from the rear of the towing device 3 as shown in Fig. 4, and then the tips of the two rear bars 6 are set to the inner position as shown in Fig. 3 to surround the bogie 2, thereby restraining the bogie 2 to the towing vehicle 1. Then, by moving the towing vehicle 1 in the forward direction in this surrounded and restrained state of the bogie 2, the rear bar 6 of the bogie surrounding bar 4 pushes the bogie 2 from the rear in the forward direction, so that the bogie 2 can be towed in the forward direction. When it is desired to release the bogie 2 without towing it, the tips of the two rear bars 6 of the bogie surrounding bar 4 are moved from the inner position as shown in Fig. 3 to the outer position as shown in Fig. 4, and then the bogie 2 is taken out to the rear of the towing vehicle 1 as shown in Fig. 5, thereby releasing the bogie 2 from the bogie surrounding bar 4. In the towing vehicle of the present invention, the encircling and restraining of the bogie 2 for towing, and the release of the bogie 2 from the towing vehicle 1 can be achieved without moving the entire bogie encircling bar 4, but only by moving the tip of the rear bar 6, which is part of it, between an inner position and an outer position at the rear of the bogie 2, making the operation extremely simple and reliable.
[0021] In the towing vehicle 1 of the present invention, the bogie encircling bar 4 is preferably configured so that each of the two side bars 5 can move away from or approach each other in the width direction of the towing vehicle 1. Such a configuration can be achieved, for example, by means such as those disclosed in Patent Documents 9 and 10. This makes it possible to quickly adjust the distance between the two side bars 5 of the bogie encircling bar 4 when the width of the bogie 2 being towed changes, so that the two side bars 5 can be appropriately aligned along each of the two sides of the bogie 2.
[0022] It is preferable that the two side bars 5 of the bogie encircling bar 4 extend in the direction of travel long enough to fit along the entire sides of the bogie 2. It is also preferable that two front bars are provided on the sides of the two side bars 5 in the direction of travel, which can fit along the front corners of the bogie 2. This allows the bogie 2 to be firmly restrained, and ensures the stability of the bogie 2 when towing. It is preferable that the two side bars 5 each have a wheel on the floor surface side behind them.
[0023] In the towing vehicle 1 of the present invention, the means for allowing the tip of each of the two rear bars 6 to move between an inner position and an outer position at the rear of the bogie 2 is not particularly limited as long as the object of the present invention is achieved, and conventionally known methods and mechanisms can be adopted. Examples of such means include those in which each of the two rear bars 6 of the bogie 2 (i) rotates on an axis (first embodiment), (ii) moves horizontally (second embodiment), and (iii) opens like a double door (third embodiment), so that the tip of each of the rear bars 6 of the bogie 2 can move between an inner position and an outer position at the rear of the bogie 2. These embodiments will be described in order below.
[0024] First embodiment Figure 6 shows an example in which two rear bars 6 are each attached to two side bars 5 respectively so as to be rotatable around the axis in the direction of travel of the towing vehicle 1, where (a) shows that the tip of each of the two rear bars 6 is in the inner position, (b) shows details of the mechanism when achieving (a), (c) shows that the tip of each of the two rear bars 6 is in the outer position, and (d) shows details of the mechanism when achieving (c).
[0025] In the embodiment of Fig. 6, as shown in (a) and (c), each of the two rear bars 6 rotates on its axis, so that the tip of each of the two rear bars 6 can move between an inner position and an outer position at the rear of the dolly. This axial rotation is achieved by a driving means such as a motor or a rotary actuator, and if necessary, via gears, as shown in (b) and (d), and by rotating around an axis in the direction of travel of the towing vehicle 1, the tip of each of the two rear bars 6 can be moved between an inner position and an outer position.
[0026] In the embodiment of Figure 6, (a) and (b) are shown as having the tips of each of the two rear bars 6 in an inner position, and (c) and (d), which are rotated 90 degrees around the axis, are shown as having the tips of each of the two rear bars 6 in an outer position. However, in the present invention, this is not limited to these, and even if the bar is rotated 90 degrees in the opposite direction as in Figure 7(a) or rotated to an oblique position as in Figure 7(b), if the trolley 2 can be removed rearward from the trolley surrounding bar 4 without interfering with the two rear bars 6, then the tips of each of the two rear bars 6 are also considered to be in an outer position in these cases.
[0027] Second Embodiment FIG. 8 shows an example in which two rear bars 6 are attached to two side bars 5, respectively, so as to be horizontally movable in the width direction of the towing vehicle 1, where (a) shows that the tip of each of the two rear bars 6 is in an inner position, (b) shows that the tip of each of the two rear bars 6 is in an outer position, and (c) shows details of the mechanism for horizontal movement of the rear bars 6.
[0028] In the embodiment of Fig. 8, as shown in (a) and (b), the two rear bars 6 each move horizontally, so that the tip of each of the two rear bars 6 can move between an inner position and an outer position at the rear of the dolly. This horizontal movement can be performed, for example, by a rack and pinion mechanism as shown in (c). In this case, when a pinion 8 (gear) connected to a driving means 7 such as a motor or a rotary actuator rotates, a linear movement (horizontal movement) is performed on the horizontally placed rack 9 side, and the direction of the horizontal movement can be controlled by the rotation direction of the pinion 8, so that the tip of each of the rear bars 6 can be moved between an inner position and an outer position.
[0029] Third embodiment FIG. 9 shows an example in which two rear bars 6 are each attached to two side bars so that the tips of the two rear bars 6 can be moved between a closed position in which they face each other in the width direction of the towing vehicle 1 and an open position in which they face the rear of the towing vehicle 1, where (a) and (b) respectively show a schematic plan view and a schematic side view when the tips of the two rear bars 6 are in an inner position, and (c) and (d) respectively show a schematic plan view and a schematic side view when the tips of the rear bars 6 are in an outer position.
[0030] 9, as shown in (a), (b), (c), and (d), when each of the two rear bars 6 opens backwards like a double door, the tip of each of the two rear bars 6 can take an outer position at the rear of the dolly, and conversely, when they close like a double door, they can take an inner position. This double door movement can be achieved by rotating the side bars about a vertical shaft attached to the rearmost part of the side bars by driving means such as a motor or rotary actuator, if necessary via a gear, in the same way as in the first embodiment.
[0031] Although typical examples of the towing vehicle and towing device of the present invention have been described above, changes or modifications to the details of the technology and addition of conventional technology can be made as appropriate without departing from the scope of the claims of the present invention. Therefore, the inside and outside positions of the two rear bars of the towing device of the present invention are not limited to the above-mentioned examples, and it is sufficient that, when in the inside position, the rear bars can surround and restrain the inside of the sides and corners of the dolly, and can push the dolly from the rear when the towing vehicle moves, and it is sufficient that, when in the outside position, the dolly can be moved in and out between the two side bars of the towing device. In addition, the movement mechanism between the inside and outside positions of the two rear bars is not limited to the above-mentioned examples, and may be configured to be performed manually or by other mechanisms. [Industrial Applicability]
[0032] According to the towing vehicle of the present invention, any type of towing vehicle can be towed easily and safely without directly connecting the towing vehicle to the dolly, and the towing operation is extremely simple because the towing vehicle can be enclosed / restrained and released by simply moving the rear bar, which is a part of the dolly enclosure bar. Therefore, the towing vehicle of the present invention is extremely useful in industries that handle the sorting and delivery of large quantities of goods. [Explanation of symbols]
