Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a control device, a motor device, and an oil pump device equipped with the same. [Background technology]

[0002] In recent years, efforts have been made to promote the Sustainable Development Goals (2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted at the United Nations Summit on September 25, 2015, hereafter referred to as "SDGs"). In line with this, technologies that aim to prevent waste generation, reduce waste, and significantly reduce waste generation by recycling and reusing products in order to ensure sustainable production and consumption patterns have become known.

[0003] Conventionally, there has been known an electric pump in which a pump for circulating oil, an electric motor for driving the pump, and a control board for controlling the electric motor are housed in a housing and integrated together. Moreover, most of such an electric pump is immersed in oil, with only the portion connected to an external device being exposed to the outside of the oil.

[0004] For example, the electric pump described in Patent Document 1 includes a metal housing that houses a control board, a resin cover that closes the top surface of the housing, and a resin wiring holder that pulls out the wiring that connects the control board to an external device from the housing. This electric pump needs to seal the joint between the housing and the cover and the joint between the housing and the wiring holder with an oil seal. This electric pump also needs to include an air passage that connects the space for accommodating the control board, which is formed by the housing and the cover, to the outside air. [0005] [Patent Document 1] JP 2020-187927 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0006] However, the electric pump in Patent Document 1 has a large number of parts (housing, cover, holder, two oil seals) and sealing points required to place the control board in the oil, which makes the pump heavy and complex in structure.

[0007] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a technology for realizing a lightweight and simple control device that controls an electric motor in liquid. [Means for solving the problem]

[0008] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a control device comprising a control board on which a control circuit for controlling an electric motor is mounted, a metal housing supporting one side of the control board in a thickness direction, and a resin cover attached to the housing so as to cover the other side of the control board in the thickness direction and the periphery of the control board, wherein the cover is integrally formed with a cover portion having a top wall covering the other side of the control board in the thickness direction and a frame-shaped side wall protruding from the outer edge of the top wall toward the housing and covering the periphery of the control board, and a holder portion surrounding a through hole penetrating the side wall and protruding outside the cover portion, and accommodating wiring electrically connecting the control board to an external device, the tip of the side wall abutting the housing to seal the storage space for the control board surrounded by the housing and the cover portion, and the holder portion is formed with an air passage having a first opening communicating with the storage space through the through hole and a second opening exposed to the outer surface of the holder portion. Effect of the Invention

[0009] According to the present invention, a control device for controlling an electric motor in liquid can be realized that is lightweight and simple. Problems, configurations, and effects other than those described above will become apparent from the following description of the embodiments. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0011] An oil pump device 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention will now be described with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 is an external view of the oil pump device 1 according to the present embodiment.

[0012] The oil pump device 1 according to this embodiment supplies oil (e.g., lubricating oil) to an engine clutch or a transmission clutch mounted on, for example, an automobile. Oil is an example of a liquid. However, the use of the oil pump device 1 is not limited thereto.

[0013] 1, the oil pump device 1 is a so-called "electric oil pump" that includes a motor section 2, a control section 3 (control device), and a pump section 4. The motor section 2 and the control section 3 configure a so-called "mechanically and electrically integrated" motor device 5 independent of the pump section 4. The motor device 5 is not limited to driving the pump section 4, and may also drive a cooling fan or wipers.

[0014] The motor section 2 includes an electric motor 6 (see FIG. 7) that rotates (generates driving force) by driving power supplied from the control section 3. There is no particular limitation on the specific example of the electric motor 6, but for example, an inner rotor type brushless motor can be adopted. The configuration of the electric motor 6 is already well known, so a detailed description will be omitted. The control section 3 supplies power supplied from an external device (not shown) to the electric motor 6 as driving power. The specific configuration of the control section 3 will be described later with reference to FIG. 2 and subsequent figures. The driving force of the motor section 2 is transmitted to the pump section 4, which pumps oil. The configuration of the pump section 4 is already well known, so a detailed description will be omitted.

[0015] The motor section 2, the control section 3, and the pump section 4 are disposed adjacent to each other in the extending direction of a rotating shaft 7 (see FIG. 7) of an electric motor 6, which will be described later. More specifically, the control section 3 is disposed adjacent to the motor section 2 disposed in the center on one side in the extending direction of the rotating shaft 7, and the pump section 4 is disposed adjacent to the other side in the extending direction of the rotating shaft 7.

[0016] The oil pump device 1 includes a metal housing 10 that houses the motor section 2, the control section 3, and the pump section 4. The housing 10 is made of a metal material such as aluminum die casting. Note that the housing 10 is not limited to being an integrated type that houses the motor section 2, the control section 3, and the pump section 4 together, and some of the housings may be formed as separate bodies.

[0017] Fig. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the control unit 3. Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the control unit 3 with the cover 60 removed. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the control unit 3 mainly includes a housing 10, a control board 20, a wiring unit 30, a relay unit 40, a heat sink 50, and a cover 60. Hereinafter, the extension direction of the rotating shaft 7 will be simply referred to as the "axial direction", and the direction perpendicular to the extension direction of the rotating shaft 7 (the radial direction of the rotating shaft 7) will be simply referred to as the "radial direction".

[0018] As shown in FIG. 2, the housing 10 defines a motor accommodating space 11 that accommodates the electric motor 6. The motor accommodating space 11 is a space having a generally cylindrical outer shape. The housing 10 also has a support surface 12 that supports components (20-60) of the control unit 3. The support surface 12 is a surface that expands in the radial direction at a position axially offset from the motor accommodating space 11. The support surface 12 has a generally rectangular outer shape when viewed from the axial direction.

[0019] The support surface 12 is provided with a plurality of (four in this embodiment) support protrusions 13a, 13b, 13c, and 13d, a plurality of (four in this embodiment) screw seats 14a, 14b, 14c, and 14d, and a heat sink support portion 15.

[0020] The support protrusions 13a to 13d protrude in the axial direction from the support surface 12 at different positions on the support surface 12 (typically, positions surrounding the motor accommodating space 11). The support protrusions 13a to 13d support the first surface 21a of the control board 20 at their tips. Second positioning holes 16a, 16b, 16c, and 16d for receiving positioning pins 66a to 66d (described later) are formed in the support protrusions 13a to 13d. The second positioning holes 16a to 16d extend from the tips of the support protrusions 13a to 13d toward the base ends.

[0021] The screw seats 14a to 14d protrude in the axial direction from the support surface 12 at different positions on the support surface 12 (typically, positions surrounding the motor accommodating space 11). The screw seats 14a to 14d have screw holes 17a, 17b, 17c, and 17d formed therein that communicate with the screw holes 67a to 67d of the cover 60 when the cover 60 is attached to the housing 10. The screws 18a to 18d are screwed into the communicating screw holes 17a to 17d, 67a to 67d, thereby fixing the cover 60 to the housing 10.

[0022] The heat sink support portion 15 supports an end portion of the heat sink 50. The heat sink support portion 15 is provided at a position radially offset from the motor accommodating space 11. The heat sink support portion 15 is provided at a position adjacent to one of the four sides constituting the outer edge of the support surface 12, linearly extending in parallel to the side.

[0023] The control board 20 has a board 21. The board 21 is a flat member having a generally rectangular outer shape. The board 21 has a first surface 21a and a second surface 21b (see FIG. 7). The first surface 21a is a surface on one side in the thickness direction of the board 21 (the side facing the motor accommodating space 11). The second surface 21b is a surface on the other side in the thickness direction of the board 21 (the side opposite to the first surface 21a). As shown in FIG. 7, the board 21 is disposed so as to overlap the motor accommodating space 11 when viewed from the axial direction. The outer edge of the board 21 is located outside the motor accommodating space 11 when viewed from the axial direction.

[0024] The substrate 21 is formed with first positioning holes 22a, 22b, 22c, and 22d penetrating in the thickness direction. The first positioning holes 22a-22d are formed at positions corresponding to the support protrusions 13a-13d on the outer edge of the substrate 21. When the substrate 21 is supported by the tips of the support protrusions 13a-13d, the corresponding first positioning holes 22a-22d and second positioning holes 16a-16d communicate with each other. When the positioning pins 66a-66d are inserted into the corresponding first positioning holes 22a-22d and second positioning holes 16a-16d, the housing 10, the control substrate 20, and the cover 60 are positioned.

[0025] A plurality of circuit elements 23a, 23b constituting a control circuit 23 for controlling the electric motor 6 are mounted on one or both of the first surface 21a and the second surface 21b of the substrate 21. At least a part of the circuit elements 23a, 23b (for example, the circuit element 23b) is a heat generating element that generates a large amount of heat. The circuit element 23b is mounted on the second surface 21b of the substrate 21 in the vicinity of a side (left side in FIG. 3) that is different from the side (right side in FIG. 3) on which the wiring unit 30 is arranged and the side (upper side in FIG. 3) on which the relay unit 40 is arranged, among the four sides constituting the outer edge of the substrate 21.

[0026] The wiring unit 30 is housed in a holder portion 62 of the cover 60. The wiring unit 30 is, for example, inserted when the cover 60 is injection molded, and is molded as a single piece. The wiring unit 30 is composed of a wiring 31 that connects an external device and the control circuit 23, and a housing 32 that houses (molds) the wiring 31.

[0027] The wiring 31 includes, for example, a pair of power lines for supplying driving power output from an external device to the control circuit 23, and a pair of signal lines for transmitting and receiving control signals between the external device and the control circuit 23. The housing 32 is integrally molded in a state in which the wiring 31 is housed by injecting a resin material into a mold into which the wiring 31 is inserted. In addition, a part of an air passage 70 described later is formed in the housing 32.

[0028] The relay unit 40 connects the control circuit 23 and the electric motor 6 (more specifically, the coil). The relay unit 40 supplies the driving power output from the control circuit 23 to the coil. This causes the electric motor 6 to rotate.

[0029] 2, the heat sink 50 is a heat dissipation member that dissipates heat generated by the circuit element 23b to the housing 10. The heat sink 50 is made of a metal material (e.g., copper) with high thermal conductivity. For example, the heat sink 50 is formed by pressing a flat plate, the heat sink 50 including a heat receiving plate 51 and a heat transfer plate 52 that are bent so as to intersect (orthogonally) with each other. That is, the heat sink 50 has a generally L-shaped outer shape.

[0030] [Cover 60 Composition] FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the cover 60. FIG. 5 is an exploded perspective view of FIG. 4(A). FIG. 6 is an exploded perspective view of FIG. 4(B). FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the motor section 2 and the control section 3. The cover 60 is integrally molded, for example, by injection molding a resin material. That is, the cover 60 is formed of a material that has a lower thermal conductivity than the housing 10 and is lighter than the housing 10. As shown in FIGS. 4 to 7, the cover 60 includes a cover section 61, a holder section 62, and a flange section 63.

[0031] As shown in Fig. 4, the cover portion 61 and the holder portion 62 are disposed on opposite sides of the flange portion 63. In other words, the flange portion 63 is disposed between the cover portion 61 and the holder portion 62. As shown in Fig. 1, in the oil pump device 1, the flange portion 63 is attached to the opening of the oil case 8. As a result, the cover portion 61 is disposed inside the oil case 8, and only the holder portion 62 is disposed outside the oil case 8. Also, oil (an example of a liquid) is stored in the oil case 8 (an example of a liquid storage portion).

[0032] As a result, the motor section 2, the pump section 4, and the cover section 61 side of the flange section 63 of the control section 3 are disposed inside the oil case 8 (i.e., immersed in oil), and only the holder section 62 side of the flange section 63 of the control section 3 is disposed outside the oil case 8. The cover section 61, which is immersed in oil, needs to make the board accommodating space 24 that accommodates the control board 20 liquid-tight. In addition, the board accommodating space 24 needs to be in communication with the outside of the oil case 8.

[0033] The cover portion 61 is a portion attached to the housing 10 so as to cover the second surface 21b of the control board 20 and the periphery of the control board 20. The cover portion 61 mainly includes a top wall 64, a side wall 65, and a plurality of positioning pins 66a, 66b, 66c, and 66d.

[0034] The top wall 64 is a portion that covers the second surface 21b of the control board 20 (board 21). When the cover 60 is attached to the housing 10, the top wall 64 faces the second surface 21b at a predetermined distance from the control board 20 in the axial direction. In addition, the heat receiving plate 51 of the heat sink 50 is attached to the surface (rear surface) of the top wall 64 that faces the second surface 21b. Furthermore, screw holes 67a, 67b, 67c, and 67d that penetrate in the thickness direction are formed in the four corners of the top wall 64.

[0035] The side wall 65 is a frame-shaped part that covers the periphery of the control board 20. The side wall 65 protrudes from the outer edge of the top wall 64 towards the housing 10 (i.e., in the axial direction). When the housing 10 is attached to the cover 60, the tip of the side wall 65 abuts against the support surface 12 of the housing 10. The abutting portion between the tip of the side wall 65 and the support surface 12 is continuous in the circumferential direction so as to surround the control board 20.

[0036] As a result, a board accommodating space 24 for accommodating the control board 20 is formed between the housing 10 and the cover 60 (more specifically, the support surface 12, the top wall 64, and the side wall 65). The contact portion between the tip of the side wall 65 and the support surface 12 is liquid-tightly sealed to prevent liquid from entering the board accommodating space 24. In other words, the board accommodating space 24 is sealed from the inside of the oil case 8, and communicates with the outside of the oil case 8 only through a through hole 68 described later.

[0037] Furthermore, a ring-shaped oil seal may be disposed between the tip of the side wall 65 and the support surface 12. In other words, an oil seal may be sandwiched between the tip of the side wall 65 and the support surface 12 to seal the substrate accommodating space 24 from the oil case 8. This provides an even more liquid-tight seal at the contact portion between the tip of the side wall 65 and the support surface 12. In other words, the tip of the side wall 65 may indirectly contact the support surface 12 via the oil seal.

[0038] A flange portion 63 is provided on a portion of the side wall 65 in the circumferential direction. In this specification, the flange portion 63 is treated as a part of the side wall 65. A through hole 68 is formed in the side wall 65 and the flange portion 63, penetrating the side wall 65 and the flange portion 63 in the thickness direction. The through hole 68 leads the wiring 31 out from the substrate accommodating space 24 toward the holder portion 62, and also connects an air passage 70 provided in the holder portion 62 to the substrate accommodating space 24.

[0039] The positioning pins 66a to 66d protrude in the axial direction from the back surface of the top wall 64 inside the side wall 65. When the positioning pins 66a to 66d are inserted into the first positioning holes 22a to 22d, the control board 20 is attached to the cover 60 with the second surface 21b facing the top wall 64. When the positioning pins 66a to 66d are inserted into the second positioning holes 16a to 16d in this state, the screw holes 17a to 17d and 67a to 67d communicate with each other, and the protruding end of the heat transfer plate 52 is inserted in the axial direction into the heat sink support part 15. Then, the screws 18a to 18d are screwed into the communicated screw holes 17a to 17d and 67a to 67d, so that the cover 60 is fixed to the housing 10 with the housing 10, the control board 20, the heat sink 50, and the cover 60 positioned.

[0040] The holder portion 62 surrounds the through hole 68 and protrudes outward from the cover portion 61. The holder portion 62 houses the wiring unit 30. The holder portion 62 has a generally L-shaped outer shape. More specifically, the holder portion 62 protrudes in a direction away from the side wall 65 and the flange portion 63, and is bent toward the top wall 64. The protruding end of the holder portion 62 is opened to expose the other end of the wiring 31 (the end opposite to the side connected to the control board 20). The protruding end of the holder portion 62 functions as a connector for connecting the wiring 31 to an external device. However, the shape of the holder portion 62 can be appropriately changed depending on the specifications of the device in which the oil pump device 1 is incorporated.

[0041] As shown in FIG. 7, an air passage 70 is formed inside the holder part 62. A part of the air passage 70 according to this embodiment is formed inside the wiring unit 30 housed in the holder part 62. The air passage 70 is an air passage that connects the board accommodating space 24 to the outside of the oil case 8. More specifically, when the temperature inside the oil case 8 rises, the air inside the board accommodating space 24 is discharged to the outside of the oil case 8 through the air passage 70. On the other hand, when the temperature inside the oil case 8 drops, the air outside the oil case 8 flows into the board accommodating space 24 through the air passage 70. This keeps the air pressure in the board accommodating space 24 constant.

[0042] The ventilation passage 70 has a first opening 71, a second opening 72, and a third opening 73. The first opening 71 communicates the ventilation passage 70 with the board accommodation space 24 through the through hole 68. The second opening 72 and the third opening 73 expose the ventilation passage 70 to the outside of the holder part 62. The third opening 73 is located at the end where the ventilation passage 70 extends from the first opening 71 in a direction perpendicular to the side wall 65. On the other hand, the second opening 72 is located at the end where the ventilation passage 70 branches between the first opening 71 and the third opening 73. However, the specific shape of the ventilation passage 70 can be changed as appropriate depending on the specifications of the device in which the oil pump device 1 is incorporated.

[0043] The holder part 62 is provided with a tubular body 74. The tubular body 74 has a generally tubular (more specifically, cylindrical) outer shape. The tubular body 74 surrounds the second opening 72 and protrudes from the holder part 62. The tip of the tubular body 74 is opened (hereinafter, referred to as the "tip opening"). A slit 75 is formed in the tubular body 74. The slit 75 penetrates the tubular body 74 in the thickness direction. The slit 75 extends from the tip opening of the tubular body 74 toward the holder part 62. The slit 75 is formed in a position facing the side wall 65 in the circumferential direction of the tubular body 74.

[0044] A porous membrane 76 is disposed inside the cylindrical body 74. The porous membrane 76 is a membrane that allows the flow of gas through the second opening 72 and prevents the flow of liquid through the second opening 72. In this embodiment, a well-known porous membrane 76 that is already widely available is used, and therefore a detailed description of the porous membrane 76 is omitted.

[0045] A cap 77 is attached to the cylindrical body 74. The cap 77 has a bottomed cylindrical shape (more specifically, a bottomed cylindrical shape) in external form. The cap 77 closes the tip opening of the cylindrical body 74 and forms a labyrinth around the slit 75 to prevent liquid from entering. The cap 77 according to this embodiment is composed of a flat (disk)-shaped blocking wall 78 and a peripheral wall 79 that protrudes from the blocking wall 78 toward the holder part 62 and continues in the circumferential direction.

[0046] 8 is a cross-sectional view showing the relationship between the cylindrical body 74 and the cap 77. As shown in Fig. 8(A), the inner diameter dimension D1 of the peripheral wall 79 is larger than the outer diameter dimension D2 of the cylindrical body 74. Moreover, the protruding length L1 of the peripheral wall 79 is shorter than the protruding length L2 of the cylindrical body 74. Furthermore, the protruding length L1 of the peripheral wall 79 is longer than the length L3 of the slit 75.

[0047] 8(B), the cap 77 is attached to the cylindrical body 74 such that the tip of the peripheral wall 79 faces the holder portion 62 and the blocking wall 78 blocks the tip opening of the cylindrical body 74. The cap 77 is fixed to the cylindrical body 74, for example, by welding the tip opening of the cylindrical body 74 to the blocking wall 78. However, the method of fixing the cap 77 to the cylindrical body 74 is not limited to the above example.

[0048] This prevents the flow of liquid and gas through the tip opening of the cylindrical body 74. In addition, the peripheral wall 79 surrounds the cylindrical body 74 at a position radially spaced from the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical body 74. This allows the flow of liquid and gas through the slit 75. However, around the slit 75, the cylindrical body 74 and the peripheral wall 79 form a labyrinth that prevents liquid from entering the air passage 70 through the cylindrical body 74. Furthermore, liquid that enters the cylindrical body 74 through the slit 75 is captured by the porous film 76, preventing it from entering the air passage 70.

[0049] Furthermore, the third opening 73 of the ventilation passage 70 is blocked by a rubber plug 80 (blocking member). This prevents the flow of liquid and gas through the third opening 73. The outer surface of the rubber plug 80 blocking the third opening 73 is flush with the outer surface of the holder part 62. However, a specific example of the blocking member is not limited to the rubber plug 80, and may be putty that fills the third opening 73.

[0050] [Cover 60 molding method] 9A and 9B are diagrams showing the state before and after injection molding of the cover 60. As shown in Fig. 9A, prior to molding the cover 60, the wiring unit 30 is injection molded. This wiring unit 30 has the wiring 31 molded therein and has a pin 81 inserted therein. The pin 81 is inserted at a position that will become the air passage 70 in the wiring unit 30. The pin 81 extends in a direction perpendicular to the protruding direction of the side wall 65 of the cover 60.

[0051] Next, a resin material is injected into the first mold 82 and the second mold 83 into which the wiring unit 30 is inserted, thereby integrally molding the cover 60 including the cover portion 61, the holder portion 62, and the flange portion 63. The first mold 82 and the second mold 83 are brought into contact with and separated from each other along the protruding direction of the side wall 65. In other words, the first mold 82 and the second mold 83 are brought into contact with and separated from each other in a direction perpendicular to the extending direction of the pins 81.

[0052] 9(B), the pin 81 is removed from the injection-molded cover 60. If the pin 81 is to be removed toward the cover portion 61 as shown by arrow A, the side wall 65 gets in the way and makes the removal operation complicated. Therefore, the pin 81 is removed toward the holder portion 62 as shown by arrow B. As a result, the third opening 73 is exposed to the outside of the holder portion 62 after the pin 81 is removed.

[0053] [Effects of the embodiment] According to the above embodiment, by adopting the resin cover 60 having the top wall 64 and the side wall 65, the control unit 3 can be made lighter than the conventional configuration, which contributes to carbon neutrality. In addition, by integrally molding the cover part 61 and the holder part 62, it is only necessary to seal the contact part between the tip of the side wall 65 and the support surface 12, so that the number of parts of the control unit 3 can be reduced compared to the conventional configuration, which contributes to reducing waste. Furthermore, by providing the ventilation path 70, the air pressure in the substrate housing space 24 can be kept constant, so that the oil pump device 1 can be used in liquid. As a result, the control unit 3 that controls the electric motor 6 operating inside the oil case 8 can be realized in a lightweight and simple manner.

[0054] Furthermore, according to the above embodiment, by attaching the porous membrane 76 and the cap 77 to the cylindrical body 74, it is possible to allow the flow of gas through the ventilation passage 70 and prevent the intrusion of liquid into the ventilation passage 70. Furthermore, compared to the case where an existing breather cap is used, the above-mentioned action and effect can be obtained with a simpler configuration. However, the configuration of the parts attached to the cylindrical body 74 is not limited to the above example.

[0055] Furthermore, according to the above embodiment, a labyrinth is formed around the slit 75 by the cylindrical body 74 and the cap 77, so that it is possible to permit the flow of gas while preventing liquid from entering the cylindrical body 74. However, the dimensional relationship between the various parts of the cylindrical body 74 and the cap 77 is not limited to the above example.

[0056] Furthermore, according to the embodiment described above, by forming slit 75 at a position facing side wall 65 in the circumferential direction of cylindrical body 74, it is possible to more effectively prevent liquid from entering cylindrical body 74. Also, it is preferable to provide slit 75 on the lower side in the circumferential direction of cylindrical body 74 in the assembled position of oil pump device 1. However, the position of slit 75 is not limited to the example described above.

[0057] Furthermore, according to the above embodiment, the third opening 73 extending linearly from the first opening 71 in a direction perpendicular to the protruding direction of the side wall 65 is blocked, and a porous membrane 76 and a cap 77 are provided at the second opening 72 branching off between the first opening 71 and the third opening 73, thereby making it possible to form the air passage 70 in the cover 60 having the side wall 65 in a simple procedure.

[0058] The embodiments of the present invention have been described above. Note that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modified examples are included. For example, the above-described embodiments have been described in detail to clearly explain the present invention, and are not necessarily limited to those having all of the configurations described. In addition, it is possible to replace a part of the configuration of this embodiment with the configuration of another embodiment, and it is also possible to add the configuration of another embodiment to the configuration of this embodiment. Furthermore, it is possible to add, delete, or replace a part of the configuration of this embodiment with another configuration. [Explanation of symbols]
