Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to an eye mask that is worn on the face to cover the eyes and block external light during sleep or rest, and a method for manufacturing such an eye mask. [Background technology]

[0002] Generally, eye masks are required to be flat and easy to carry when not in use, such as when stored, but to be three-dimensional and comfortable to wear when in use.

[0003] For example, Patent Document 1 discloses that a space is formed between the left and right eye covering parts (mask parts) and both eyes to prevent deformation of the false eyelashes, and that the device can be folded and carried. Patent Document 2 also discloses that a similar space is formed between the left and right eye covering parts (mask parts) and both eyes.

[0004] However, in the technology disclosed in Patent Document 1, in order to form a raised space between each of the left and right mask parts and the corresponding eyes, a seam such as a dart (a pinched seam for creating a curved surface) or a soft wire is provided for each of the left and right mask parts at least over almost the entire height in the vertical direction, so if such a seam or soft wire is sewn in the folded state, it can be provided relatively inexpensively, but it is difficult to obtain a sufficient amount of protrusion when unfolded. On the other hand, if the raised space is directly formed in the unfolded state of the mask part, a sufficient amount of protrusion can be obtained, but it is expensive because it is necessary to adopt special techniques to sew the mask part while holding it in a three-dimensional shape (three-dimensional sewing) or to cut the mask material while holding it in a three-dimensional shape (three-dimensional cutting).

[0005] In short, in Patent Documents 1 and 2, the wearer is forced to choose between a cheaper product that lacks the amount of projection when deployed and is therefore less comfortable to wear, and a more expensive product that is more comfortable to wear. [0006] [Patent Document 1] Patent No. 4825930 [Patent Document 2] Jpn. Jpn. Published No. 55-23528 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0007] The object of the present invention is to provide an eye mask that is simple in structure, inexpensive, and comfortable to wear, and a method for manufacturing an eye mask that can facilitate the manufacture of an inexpensive eye mask that is comfortable to wear and can reduce the manufacturing cost.

[0008] In order to solve the above problems, the first eye mask of the present invention is In a horizontally elongated eye mask having a central nose pad and blindfold sections on either side (and ear hooks or other attachment sections on the outside), the eye mask is heat-sealable. In an overlapping form (folded form) in which each of the concealing portions is folded toward the nose pad portion at a vertical fold line located at a horizontally intermediate portion of the concealing portion, an upper fused portion is heat-sealed to each other at an overlapping portion downward from an intersection position of the fold line and an upper outline line, a lower fused portion is heat-sealed to each other at an overlapping portion upward from an intersection position of the fold line and a lower outline line, and a non-fused portion is located intermediate the upper fused portion and the lower fused portion and is not heat-sealed to each other at an overlapping portion, and is arranged in a row along the inside of the fold line, When in use, each of the concealing portions is unfolded from the fold line and spread (pulled) laterally outward, so that the upper fused portion and the lower fused portion are folded toward each other on the fold line, sandwiching the non-fused portion therebetween, resulting in a bulging (protruding) shape that protrudes (juts out) toward the front of the face as a whole.

[0009] In order to solve the above problems, the second eye mask of the present invention is An eye mask comprising a heat-sealable, horizontally elongated main body having blindfolds formed on either side of a central nose pad, and a pair of heat-sealable and stretchable wearing bodies having ear loops (e.g., annular or loop-shaped) connected to the ends of each blindfold and formed on either side of the main body, In an overlapping configuration in which each of the concealing portions is folded together with the attachment toward the nose pad portion at a vertical fold line located at a horizontally intermediate portion of the concealing portion, an upper fused portion is heat-sealed to each other at an overlapping portion downward from an intersection position of the fold line and an upper outline line, a lower fused portion is heat-sealed to each other at an overlapping portion upward from an intersection position of the fold line and a lower outline line, and a non-fused portion is located intermediate the upper fused portion and the lower fused portion and is not heat-sealed to each other at an overlapping portion, and is arranged in a row along the inside of the fold line, When in use, each of the concealing portions is unfolded together with the attachment from the fold line and spread out laterally outward, so that the upper fused portion and the lower fused portion are folded toward each other on the fold line, sandwiching the non-fused portion therebetween, resulting in a bulging shape that protrudes toward the front of the face as a whole.

[0010] In this way, by forming upper and lower fused sections in each overlapping concealing section, and by unfolding the left and right concealing sections from the fold-back lines and spreading outward in the horizontal direction when in use, the concealing section will bend easily so that the upper and lower fused sections approach each other on the fold-back lines, starting from the non-fused sections (because the upper and lower middle sections including the non-fused sections spread widely towards both ends, while the upper and lower sections including the heat-sealed sections spread less than the middle section), and the entire section will have a bulging shape that protrudes forward in front of the face. This makes it possible to realize an eye mask that has a simple and inexpensive structure, while having sufficient bulging concealing sections when in use, providing an excellent fit.

[0011] In the above overlapping configuration, the fold-back line is cut in an inclined line approaching the nose pad side as it approaches the intersection position in the region near the upper outline and the lower outline.

[0012] This allows the blindfolding section to be folded along the inclined lines even when not in use, such as when stored, and prevents corners from being formed at the four corners.

[0013] The upper and lower fused portions are formed on the inside along the inclined line of the fold-back line.

[0014] In this way, by forming the upper and lower fused parts along the inclined line, the upper and lower fused parts are more likely to bend as they approach each other when deployed, improving the wearing comfort.

[0015] Moreover, the upper fused portion and the lower fused portion are both formed in a continuous line shape within a height range of 1 / 3 or less of the total height in the vertical direction.

[0016] This ensures that non-fused portions that serve as base points during deployment are formed, resulting in a stable fit.

[0017] Furthermore, cut lines are formed in the nose pads from the lower outline to the top, and the cut lines in the nose pads are opened to the left and right by pulling the blindfold laterally outward.

[0018] In this way, the nose pads are opened from the cut lines and placed on the user's nose when in use, providing a light, comfortable fit without any sense of pressure.

[0019] In order to solve the above problems, a first method for producing an eye mask of the present invention comprises the steps of: A method for manufacturing a horizontally elongated eye mask having a central nose pad and blindfold sections on either side (and ear hooks or other fitting sections on the outside), which is heat-sealable, comprising: a folding (superimposing) step of folding each of the blindfold portions toward the nose pad portion at a vertical fold line located at a horizontal intermediate portion of the blindfold portion; a heat-sealing step of simultaneously forming, in a line along the inside of the fold-back line, an upper fused portion that heat-seals the overlapping portions from an intersection of the fold-back line and the upper outline downward, a lower fused portion that heat-seals the overlapping portions from an intersection of the fold-back line and the lower outline upward, and a non-fused portion that is located between the upper fused portion and the lower fused portion and does not heat-seal the overlapping portions; The present invention is characterized by comprising:

[0020] In order to solve the above problems, a second method for producing an eye mask of the present invention comprises the steps of: A method for manufacturing an eye mask comprising a heat-sealable, horizontally elongated main body having a central nose pad and blindfolds formed on either side thereof, and a pair of heat-sealable and stretchable wearing bodies having (e.g., annular or loop-shaped) ear loops formed on either side of the main body and connected to the ends of each blindfold, comprising: a folding step of folding each of the blindfold portions toward the nose pad portion together with the attachment body at a vertical fold line located at a horizontally intermediate portion of the blindfold portion; a heat-sealing step of simultaneously forming, in a line along the inside of the fold-back line, an upper fused portion that heat-seals the overlapping portions from an intersection of the fold-back line and the upper outline downward, a lower fused portion that heat-seals the overlapping portions from an intersection of the fold-back line and the lower outline upward, and a non-fused portion that is located between the upper fused portion and the lower fused portion and does not heat-seal the overlapping portions; The present invention is characterized by comprising:

[0021] In this way, upper and lower fused portions are formed in the heat sealing process on each of the left and right blindfolding portions that were overlapped in the folding process. As a result, when the left and right blindfolding portions are unfolded from the fold-back lines and spread outward in the horizontal direction during use, the blindfolding portion (because the upper and lower middle portions including the non-fused portions spread out widely toward both ends, while the upper and lower portions including the heat-sealed portions spread less than the middle portions) tends to bend so that the upper and lower fused portions face each other on the fold-back lines starting from the non-fused portions, resulting in a bulging shape that protrudes forward toward the face as a whole. This makes it possible to easily manufacture an inexpensive eye mask that is comfortable to wear and to reduce manufacturing costs.

[0022] After the heat sealing step (or before the heat sealing step), a cutting step is included in which the folding line is cut in the area near the upper outline and the lower outline into an inclined line that approaches the nose pad side as it approaches the intersection position.

[0023] In this way, the cutting step is performed after the left and right blind sections are overlapped in the folding step, so that the inclined lines can be cut easily and naturally after the vertical fold lines are formed.

[0024] In the above heat-sealing step, the upper and lower fused portions are formed on the inside along the inclined line of the fold-back line.

[0025] In this way, the left and right blind sections are overlapped in the folding process and then the heat sealing process is carried out, so that after the vertical fold line is formed, the upper and lower fused sections can be formed easily and naturally along the inclined line.

[0026] In the above heat fusion step, the upper fused portion and the lower fused portion are both formed in a continuous line shape within a height range of ⅓ or less of the total height in the vertical direction.

[0027] This ensures that the non-fused portions that serve as base points during deployment are formed easily and without difficulty.

[0028] In order to solve the above problems, a third method for producing an eye mask of the present invention comprises the steps of: A method for manufacturing a horizontally elongated eye mask having a central nose pad and blindfolds formed on either side of the nose pad, the method comprising the steps of: A first cutting process is performed in which the eye mask is repeatedly transferred in the vertical direction onto an eye mask material made of a single or multi-layer fabric, and adjacent ones of the ruled bodies are connected in the vertical direction by contacting an upper outline and a lower outline of the other adjacent ruled bodies, and the ruled bodies are continuously cut along left and right outlines that vertically connect the upper outline and the lower outline of each ruled body at the left and right ends, respectively, to form a continuous eye mask. A folding process for folding each of the blindfold portions of the eye mask continuum toward the nose pad portion at a vertical fold line located at a horizontal middle portion of each of the blindfold portions; a heat-sealing process for simultaneously forming, in a line along the inside of the fold-back line, an upper fused portion for heat-sealing the overlapping portions of each of the score lines of the eye mask continuum, the fold-back line being an upper inclined line that approaches the nose pads as it approaches the intersection position of the fold-back line and the upper outline line when it moves downward from the intersection position of the fold-back line and the lower outline line, a lower fused portion for heat-sealing the overlapping portions of each of the score lines of the eye mask continuum, the fold-back line being a lower inclined line that approaches the nose pads as it moves upward from the intersection position of the fold-back line and the lower outline line, and a non-fused portion located between the upper fused portion and the lower fused portion and not heat-sealing the overlapping portions of each of the score lines of the eye mask continuum; a second cutting step of cutting each of the markings of the eye mask continuum along the outer sides of the upper inclined line and the lower inclined line in the region adjacent to the upper outline and the lower outline of the folding line, and cutting (cutting and separating) adjacent markings of the eye mask continuum at the upper outline and the lower outline to separate the eye masks into individual eye masks; The present invention is characterized by comprising:

[0029] In this way, upper and lower fused parts are formed in the heat sealing process on each of the left and right blindfold parts that were overlapped in the folding process. As a result, when the left and right blindfold parts are unfolded from the fold-back lines and spread out laterally when in use, the blindfold parts tend to bend so that the upper and lower fused parts approach each other on the fold-back lines, starting from the non-fused parts (because the upper and lower middle parts including the non-fused parts spread out widely toward both ends, while the upper and lower parts including the heat-sealed parts spread less than the middle parts), and the overall shape of the blindfold parts bulges out toward the front of the face. This makes it possible to easily manufacture an inexpensive eye mask that is comfortable to wear, and to reduce manufacturing costs.

[0030] Furthermore, by carrying out the above-mentioned folding process, heat sealing process, and second cutting process on the continuous eye mask body obtained in the first cutting process, multiple eye masks can be produced with high efficiency, so that eye masks with excellent wearing comfort can be provided at low cost through mass production.

[0031] The method includes a lamination step prior to the first cutting step, in which continuous dot-like heat fusion lines are formed along the inside outline of each score line of the eye mask material made of multi-layered fabric, and the multi-layered fabric is integrated by the dot-like heat fusion lines.

[0032] In this way, since the multiple layers of fabric are integrated in the lamination process before the continuous eye mask body is formed, the quality of each score and therefore the final eye mask product is stable.

[0033] In order to solve the above problems, a fourth method for producing an eye mask of the present invention comprises the steps of: A method for manufacturing an eye mask comprising a heat-sealable, horizontally elongated main body having a central nose pad and blindfolds formed on either side thereof, and a pair of heat-sealable and stretchable wearing bodies having (e.g., annular or loop-shaped) ear loops formed on either side of the main body and connected to the ends of each blindfold, comprising: A first heat-sealing step of overlapping a pair of vertically continuous single-layer or multi-layer fabric wearing body materials at the left and right lateral ends of a vertically continuous main body material made of a single-layer or multi-layer fabric and continuously heat-sealing the overlapping regions to form an eye mask material made of a single-layer or multi-layer fabric; a first cutting process in which the eye mask is repeatedly transferred onto the eye mask material in the vertical direction to form a plurality of markings, the upper outline of one of the markings (the upper outline of the main body and the attachment) and the lower outline of the other of the markings (the lower outline of the main body and the attachment) are connected vertically by contacting each other, the upper outline of each of the markings is recessed downward and the lower outline is recessed upward in the overlapping region or its periphery of each of the markings, and the cut lines for forming the ear loops are individually cut for each of the markings to form a continuous eye mask; A folding process of folding each of the blindfolds of the eye mask continuum toward the nose pad portion together with the wearing body at a vertical fold line located at a horizontally intermediate portion of each of the blindfolds of the eye mask continuum; a second heat-sealing step for simultaneously forming, in a line along the inside of the fold-back line, an upper fused portion for heat-sealing the overlapping portions of each of the score lines of the eye mask continuum, the fold-back line being an upper inclined line that approaches the nose pads as it approaches the intersection position of the fold-back line and the upper outline line when it moves downward from the intersection position of the fold-back line and the lower outline line, a lower fused portion for heat-sealing the overlapping portions of each of the score lines of the eye mask continuum, the fold-back line being a lower inclined line that approaches the nose pads as it moves upward from the intersection position of the fold-back line and the lower outline line, and a non-fused portion located between the upper fused portion and the lower fused portion and not heat-sealing the overlapping portions of each of the score lines of the eye mask continuum; a second cutting step of cutting each of the markings of the continuous eye mask along the outer sides of the upper inclined line and the lower inclined line in the region adjacent to the upper outline and the lower outline of the folding line, and cutting adjacent markings of the continuous eye mask along the upper outline and the lower outline to separate the eye masks into individual eye masks; The present invention is characterized by comprising:

[0034] In this way, upper and lower fused parts are formed in the second heat sealing process on each of the left and right blindfold parts that were overlapped in the folding process. This makes it easier to manufacture an inexpensive eye mask that is comfortable to wear and reduces manufacturing costs.

[0035] Furthermore, by carrying out the above-mentioned folding process, heat sealing process, and second cutting process on the continuous eye mask body obtained in the first cutting process, multiple eye masks can be produced with high efficiency, so that eye masks with excellent wearing comfort can be provided at low cost through mass production.

[0036] The method includes a lamination step prior to the first heat sealing step, in which dot-like heat sealing lines are formed on the inside of the outline of the main body at each score line of the main body material, which is made of a multi-layered fabric, so as to extend near the outline of the main body, and the multi-layered fabric is integrated by these dot-like heat sealing lines.

[0037] In this way, since the multiple layers of fabric are integrated in the lamination process before the continuous eye mask body is formed, the quality of each score and therefore the final eye mask product is stable.

[0038] In the second cutting step, the cutting along the outsides of the upper and lower inclined lines and the cutting and separation of the score line are carried out simultaneously or first and second.

[0039] This allows the cutting to be performed stably along the upper and lower inclined lines without causing any disturbance, so that the bulging shape of the concealing portion is stable. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0041] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0042] 1 to 7, the eye mask 100 of the first embodiment comprises a thermally adhesive, horizontally elongated eye mask body 1 (main body) with blindfolds 1E, 1E formed on either side of a central position, and an attachment body 9 attached to the left and right outsides of the eye mask body 1, and as shown in Fig. 1, the user wears the eye mask body 1 by covering the eyes and the surrounding area with the attachment body 9. A nose pad 1N is formed in the central position of the eye mask body 1. Reference numeral 1a denotes the front surface of the eye mask body 1, and reference numeral 1b denotes the back surface of the eye mask body 1 (the side facing the eyes when worn by the user).

[0043] In the first embodiment, a distinction is made between the eye mask body and the eye mask, but the eye mask body excluding the attachment part may also be referred to as the eye mask.

[0044] In the overlapping form (folded-back state: see Figs. 5 and 6) in which each of the concealing portions 1E, 1E is folded toward the nose pad portion 1N at a fold line 4 (see Figs. 2 to 6) in the vertical direction Z (up-down direction) located in the middle of the fold line 4 in the horizontal direction Y (left-right direction), the eye mask body 1 (main body) has an upper fused portion 2A whose overlap is heat-sealed to each other downward from the intersection of the fold line 4 and the upper outline line 1u, a lower fused portion 2B whose overlap is heat-sealed to each other upward from the intersection of the fold line 4 and the lower outline line 1d, and a non-fused portion 3 located halfway between the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B and whose overlap is not heat-sealed to each other, which are arranged in a row along the inside of the fold line 4.

[0045] 5, in the overlapping form, i.e., in the folded state, the fold line 4 is cut to form an inclined line 4t that approaches the nose pad portion 1N as it approaches the intersection position in the region near the upper outline 1u and the lower outline 1d. The upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B are formed on the inside along the inclined line 4t of the fold line 4.

[0046] As shown in Fig. 7, the upper outline 1u is formed in a curved shape that is slightly convex upward at the center in the horizontal direction Y (above the nose pads 1N). Conversely, the lower outline 1d is formed in a curved shape that is slightly concave upward at the center in the horizontal direction Y (above the nose pads 1N). However, in the horizontal direction Y, both lateral sections (excluding the cut sections) of the upper outline 1u and the lower outline 1d centered on the fold line 4 are linear, and are formed so that both sides match (overlap) when overlapped (folded back state: see Fig. 5).

[0047] As shown in FIG. 7, the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B have respective total vertical heights HA and HB formed in a continuous line shape within a height range of 1 / 3 or less of the total vertical height HZ (total width in the vertical direction Z).

[0048] Also, as shown in Figure 7, the left outline line 1l and the right outline line 1r which connect the upper outline line 1u and the lower outline line 1d on the left and right sides in the vertical direction Z have a curved shape that protrudes outward in the horizontal direction Y toward the center in the vertical direction Z on each of the left and right sides, and here each has an arc shape.

[0049] When not in use, the eye mask 100 is in an overlapping state, i.e., folded, as shown in Figures 5 and 6, and the entire shape is a small, thin sheet that overlaps, making it highly portable, for example, easy to put in a pocket. Here, in the eye mask body 1, the body end parts 1S, 1S (body folded parts) that are outside the left and right fold lines 4, 4 are overlapped with the body central part 1C that is inside the fold lines 4, 4, and in this overlapping shape, the body end parts 1S, 1S do not overlap each other. The body end parts 1S, 1S may overlap each other, but considering manufacturing efficiency and the thickness of the overlapping shape, it is better not to overlap them.

[0050] When the eye mask 100 is used, each of the concealing portions 1E, 1E is unfolded from the fold-back line 4 and pulled outward in the lateral direction Y to be spread out (see Figs. 2 to 4). As a result, the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B are folded so as to face and approach each other on the fold-back line 4 with the non-fused portion 3 in between, and the entire mask is formed into a bulging shape (protruding shape) that protrudes (projects) toward the front F of the face.

[0051] In this bulging form (see Figs. 2 to 4), the linear upper fused parts 2A and lower fused parts 2B located on the left and right sides of the eye mask body 1 are inclined toward the front of the face F toward the center in the vertical direction Z, and this inclined shape does not collapse. In this state, the lower ends of the left and right upper fused parts 2A and the upper ends of the lower fused parts 2B are located on the front of the face F to form a peak. Then, the central region of the eye mask body 1 surrounded by the lower ends of the left and right upper fused parts 2A and the upper ends of the lower fused parts 2B are curved in a manner that bulges slightly toward the front of the face F, with the lower ends of the left and right upper fused parts 2A and the upper ends of the lower fused parts 2B as base points.

[0052] When the user wears the eye mask as shown in Fig. 1, the left and right fold lines 4 are located near eye positions E, E, which correspond to the positions of the user's left and right eyes (see Fig. 1). This ensures that the user's eyes are located behind the position where the eye mask body 1 protrudes forward F into a three-dimensional form. In Fig. 1, the symbol E is a line indicating the eye position in the left-right direction Y, the symbol N is a line indicating the nose position in the left-right direction Y, and the symbol N is a line located midway between the two lines E in the left-right direction Y.

[0053] Also, in the nose pad portion 1N, cut lines 5n are formed from the lower outline 1d upward (see FIG. 5). By pulling the blindfold portions 1E, 1E outward in the lateral direction Y, the cut lines 5n of the nose pad portion 1N are opened to the left and right (see FIG. 2 and FIG. 5).

[0054] The sheet material (planar member) constituting the eye mask main body 1 (main body) can be a single-layer or multi-layer fabric (nonwoven fabric) that is layered, or an eye mask material (main body material) composed of a material that is a combination of these. Here, the sheet material is formed as a laminated sheet body in which multiple sheet materials are layered. Each sheet material has a specific function, such as a decorative sheet, a flexible sheet, a light-shielding sheet, etc., and the eye mask main body 1 with each function can be formed by layering them. Each sheet material can be a heat-sealing material that can be melted and welded by heat treatment (heat-sealing material: here, mainly nonwoven fabric made of thermoplastic resin). In addition, when it is composed of multi-layered sheet materials, it is sufficient that they can be finally integrated by heat fusion, and the multi-layered sheet materials may contain sheet materials other than those mentioned above.

[0055] The attachments 9, 9 here are ear loops, and are string-like (here, rubber strings) with both ends joined to the eye mask body 1. Note that the attachments 9, 9 are not limited to the above, and may be anything that allows the eye mask body 1 to be attached to the head (for example, rubber bands connected to both ends of the eye mask body 1 in the lateral direction Y).

[0056] A method for manufacturing the eye mask 100 will be described with reference to FIGS.

[0057] It should be noted that the lines 1x, 2x, 3c, 2y, 4x, and 5c1 to 5c3 are all imaginary lines indicating the intended processing positions and do not actually exist.

[0058] First, the eye mask manufacturing device executes a laminated sheet forming process (lamination process). In the laminated sheet forming process, multiple strip-shaped sheet materials are stacked so that their longitudinal directions are aligned, and as shown in Fig. 8, they are conveyed in a conveying direction C along the longitudinal direction as a laminated sheet 101 (an eye mask material composed of multi-layered fabric).

[0059] Next, a strip-shaped laminated sheet 101 is carried in along its longitudinal direction (C), and the laminated sheet 101 has a nose pad 1N at the front or rear (here, the front: the lower side in Figs. 8 to 13) of the conveying direction C, and the blindfolds 1E, 1E are located on both sides of the sheet width direction SY perpendicular to the conveying direction (C). The eye mask body 1 (ruled body 1x: also called the overall ruled body 1x) is set continuously in the conveying direction C (assuming that the eye mask body 1 is repeatedly transferred in the vertical direction Z to draw multiple ruled bodies 1x). Each of the eye mask bodies 1 (each ruled body 1x) is heat-sealed (thermally welded) in a continuous dot-like manner along the outline (planned outline) of the eye mask body 1 to form dot-like heat-sealed lines 2D inside and along the outline. The dot-like heat-sealed lines 2D form a laminated sheet body 102 in which multiple sheet materials (multi-layered fabrics) are integrated, and the laminated sheet body 102 is carried out in the conveying direction C along its longitudinal direction.

[0060] Specifically, the strip-shaped laminated sheet 101 is sent out in a predetermined conveying direction C, which is its longitudinal direction, and in a predetermined first working section W1, a cylindrical embossing die (not shown) is used to apply pressure and heat (thermal fusion, heat welding) to the dot-shaped lines 2x to be heat-sealed. As a result, heat is applied by friction at the pressure position (for example, ultrasonic welding, high-frequency welding, etc.), and the multiple sheet materials are joined. The formed laminated sheet body 102 is formed with lines 2D (dot-shaped heat fusion lines) of dot-shaped hardened heat fusion parts (hardened parts) along the lines 2x. Here, dot-shaped lines 2D of heat fusion parts are also formed along the cut lines 5n on both sides of the cut lines 5n to be formed later.

[0061] Although the eye mask is manufactured using the laminated sheet 102 made of multi-layered fabric here, a single-layered sheet made of a single layer of fabric may also be used. In this case, the above-mentioned laminated sheet forming process (lamination process) can be omitted, and the subsequent manufacturing processes can be carried out by replacing the strip-shaped laminated sheet 102 with a strip-shaped single-layered sheet.

[0062] Next, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus executes a both-end cutting process (first cutting process, cutting process) shown in Fig. 9. In the both-end cutting process, the laminated sheet 102 (eye mask material (main material) composed of multi-layered fabric) conveyed in the longitudinal direction (C) is cut and separated continuously at both ends in the sheet width direction SY of the outline (planned outline) of each set eye mask body 1 (each ruled body 1x), forming an eye mask continuum 103 (eye mask main body continuum) in which the eye mask bodies 1 are connected in the vertical direction Z (C), and conveyed out in the continuing direction (here, coinciding with the conveying direction C).

[0063] Specifically, the strip-shaped laminated sheet 102 on which the dot-like heat-sealed portions 2D (dot-like heat-sealed lines) are formed is sent out in the conveying direction C, and cut along the cut-to-be-done line 3c by a cutting die (not shown) in a predetermined second working section W2. The cut-to-be-done line 3c is set along the left outline 1l and the right outline 1r (see FIG. 9) that respectively connect the upper outline 1u and the lower outline 1d of each eye mask body 1 (each score 1x) at the left and right ends in the vertical direction Z (C), and is set outside the dot-like heat-sealed portions 2D so as not to overlap with them. As a result, the laminated sheet 102 is cut along the line 3c, and a strip-shaped cut laminated sheet 103 with both left and right ends cut off is formed.

[0064] Here, in the laminated sheet forming process (lamination process), the markings 1x of the eye mask body 1 are set continuously in the carry-in direction (C) for the laminated sheet 101 carried in along the longitudinal direction (C), and the markings 1x of the eye mask body 1 adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction (C) are set as a line 5c1 where the upper outline 1u of one and the lower outline 1d of the other coincide (see FIG. 8). Therefore, even if the laminated sheet 102 is cut along the line 3c and both ends of each eye mask body 1 (each marking 1x) in the sheet width direction SY are continuously cut off, they are connected along the line 5c1. Therefore, the strip-shaped cut laminated sheet 103 with both left and right ends cut off becomes a continuous eye mask body 103 (continuous eye mask body) in which the eye mask body 1 is continuously connected in the vertical direction Z (C). At the positions of the lines 3c, 3c on both the left and right ends, a left outline 1l and a right outline 1r of each of the continuous eye mask bodies 1 (scored bodies 1x) in the continuous eye mask body 103 after cutting are formed.

[0065] Next, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus executes the folding process (overlapping process) shown in Fig. 10. In the folding process, the eye mask continuous body 103 is conveyed in along the continuous direction (which coincides with the conveying direction C in this case), and the concealing portions 1E, 1E of each set eye mask body 1 (ruled body 1x) are folded toward the nose pad portion 1N side (the center side in the horizontal direction Y) at the fold-back lines 4 in the vertical direction Z (which coincides with the conveying direction C in this case) located in the middle of the eye mask continuous body 103 in the horizontal direction Y, and then conveyed out in the continuous direction (C).

[0066] Specifically, the continuous eye mask web 103 is sent out in the conveying direction C, and in the third work section W3, the left and right end portions 1S, 1S outside the intended folding lines 4x (which coincide with line E) are folded back using a known folding die (not shown) to overlap the central portion 1C. As a result, the continuous eye mask web 103 becomes the continuous eye mask web 104 in a folded state, with the left and right end portions 1S, 1S overlapping the central portion 1C.

[0067] Next, the eye mask manufacturing device executes the heat fusion process shown in Fig. 11. For the eye mask continuous body 104 in the folded state, the following are simultaneously formed in a line along the inside of the fold-back lines: an upper fused portion 2A that heat-fuses the overlaps (1S, 1C) from the intersection of the fold-back line 4 and the upper outline line 1u downwards of the set eye mask body 1 (scored body 1x), a lower fused portion 2B that heat-fuses the overlaps (1S, 1C) from the intersection of the fold-back line 4 and the lower outline line 1d upwards, and a non-fused portion 3 that is located between the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B and does not heat-fuses the overlaps (1S, 1C) from the intersection of the fold-back line 4 and the lower outline line 1d. As a result, the overlapped main body end portions 1S, 1S and the main body center portion 1C are integrated at the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B.

[0068] Specifically, the continuous strip of eye masks 104 in the folded state is sent out in the conveying direction C, and the linear line 2y to be heat-sealed is pressurized and heated (heat-sealed, thermally welded) by a cylindrical embossing die (not shown) in a predetermined fourth work section W4 shown in Fig. 11. As a result, heat is applied by friction to the pressurized position (for example, ultrasonic welding, high-frequency welding, etc.), and lines 2A, 2B (linear heat-sealed lines) of heat-sealed parts (hardened parts) that are linearly hardened along the line 2y are formed on the continuous strip of eye masks 104 in the folded state.

[0069] Here, in each eye mask body 1 (scored body 1x) of the folded eye mask continuum 104, the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B are both formed in a continuous line shape within a height range of less than 1 / 3 of the total vertical height of each eye mask body 1 (1x).

[0070] In addition, in each eye mask body 1 (scored body 1x) of the eye mask continuum 104 in the folded state, the upper fused portion 2A is heat-sealed to each other at the overlaps (1S, 1C) as the fold line 4 approaches the nose pad 1N side (the center side in the sheet width direction SY) as it approaches the intersection position of the fold line 4 and the upper outline line 1u when moving downward, and the lower fused portion 2B is heat-sealed to each other at the overlaps (1S, 1C) as the fold line 4 approaches the nose pad 1N side (the center side in the sheet width direction SY) as it approaches the intersection position when moving upward from the intersection position of the fold line 4 and the lower outline line 1d.

[0071] Furthermore, in the folded eye mask continuous body 104, among the eye mask bodies 1 (scored bodies 1x) adjacent to each other in the conveying direction C, the upper fused portion 2A of the eye mask body 1 (1x) on the downstream side of the conveying direction and the lower fused portion 2B of the eye mask body 1 (1x) on the upstream side of the conveying direction are connected to each other, and are continuously heated and pressurized (thermal fusion, heat welding) in the working section W4.

[0072] Next, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus executes a cutting step (second cutting step) near the heat-sealed portion shown in Fig. 12. In the cutting step near the heat-sealed portion, the eye mask continuum 105 (104 -> 105) in the folded state after the heat-sealing step is cut along the outside of the upper and lower inclined lines formed by the heat-sealed portions 2A, 2B in the areas near the upper outline 1u and lower outline 1d of each eye mask body 1 (scored body 1x) that have been set, to form an inclined line 4t.

[0073] The eye mask manufacturing apparatus also executes a separation cutting process (second cutting process) shown in Fig. 12. In the separation cutting process, the eye mask continuum 105 (104 → 105) in a folded state after the heat sealing process is cut (cut and separated) at the upper outline line 1u and the lower outline line 1d of each eye mask body 1 (scored body 1x) that have been set, and adjacent eye mask bodies 1 in the continuous direction (C) are separated from each other.

[0074] Furthermore, in the nose pad forming process in which the eye mask manufacturing apparatus executes the nose pad forming process shown in Figure 12, a cut line 5n is formed upward from the center of the lower outline 1d of the upper outline 1u and lower outline 1d that form the boundary line between adjacent eye mask bodies 1 (scored body 1x) in the continuous direction (C) of the eye mask continuum 105 (104 → 105) in the folded state after the heat sealing process, to form a nose pad 1N that fits easily around the nose.

[0075] Here, the heat-sealed portion vicinity cutting step, the separation cutting step, and the nose pad portion forming step are simultaneously performed as one cutting step. Note that the heat-sealed portion vicinity cutting step and the separation cutting step may be performed in order, with the former being performed first and the latter being performed later.

[0076] Specifically, the strip-shaped continuous eye mask web 105 on which the linear heat-sealed portions 2A and 2B are formed is sent out in the conveying direction C in a folded state, and cut along the intended cutting lines 5c by a cutting die (not shown) in a predetermined fifth working section W5 shown in Fig. 12. The intended cutting lines 5c include a line 5c1 for cutting each eye mask body 1 in the continuous eye mask web 105 in which the eye mask bodies 1 are continuous in the conveying direction C, a line 5c2 for cutting upward from the central lower end of each eye mask body 1, which is the nose position, and a line 5c3 for cutting the outer side of the linear heat-sealed portions 2A and 2B in the sheet width direction SY. As a result, the continuous eye mask web 105 is cut along the lines 5c (5c1, 5c2, 5c3), and the folded eye mask bodies 1 are individually separated.

[0077] The line 5c3 is set outside the linear heat-sealed portions 2A, 2B in the sheet width direction SY so as not to overlap with them, and is set to cut beyond the line E to the outside. This makes it possible to reliably cut off (separate) the outer parts of the linear heat-sealed portions 2A, 2B in the sheet width direction SY.

[0078] In addition, in the folded eye mask continuous body 105, of the eye mask bodies 1 adjacent to each other in the conveying direction C, the outer line 5c3 of the upper fused portion 2A of the eye mask body 1 on the downstream side of the conveying is connected to the outer line 5c3 of the lower fused portion 2B of the eye mask body 1 on the upstream side of the conveying, and are continuously cut in the working section W5.

[0079] Finally, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus executes the attachment part joining step shown in Fig. 13. In the attachment part joining step, the folded state of each eye mask body 1, which has been individually separated, is unfolded (it does not have to be unfolded as much as in Fig. 7), the main body end parts 1S, 1S are separated from the main body central part 1C, and the attachment body 9 is joined to each of the separated main body end parts 1S, 1S.

[0080] Here, the individually separated eye mask bodies 1 are sent in the conveying direction C in a folded state, and in a predetermined sixth working section W6 shown in Fig. 13, the central part 1C of the folded eye mask body 1 is pushed up at the center in the sheet width direction SY by a push-up member 65, or the opposing width of the movement restriction parts 60, 60 that contact both ends (fold-back lines 4) of the central part 1C to restrict outward movement in the sheet width direction SY is reduced (moved inward in the sheet width direction SY), or the end parts 1S, 1S are both used to make the end parts 1S, 1S stand up, and the attachment body 9 (here, the ear loop part) is pressed and bonded (thermally fused, heat welded) to the attachment part joining parts 6e, 6e (see Fig. 7) of the standing end parts 1S, 1S by joining members 62, 63. As a result, the attachment body 9 (here, the ear loop part) is fixed (joined) to the attachment part joining parts 6e, 6e of each of the folded eye mask bodies 1.

[0081] Although the attachment 9 (here, the ear hooks) is fixed (joined) to the front surface 1a of the main body ends 1S, 1S of the eye mask main body 1 here, it may be fixed (joined) to the back surface 1b.

[0082] These manufacturing processes allow the folded eye masks 100 to be produced in large quantities at high speed.

[0083] 8 to 13 showing the manufacturing method, the sheet width direction SY coincides with the lateral direction Y (left-right direction) of the eye mask body 1, and the conveying direction C coincides with the longitudinal direction Z (up-down direction) of the eye mask body 1.

[0084] Although the first embodiment of the present invention has been described above, this is merely an example, and the present invention is not limited to this. Various modifications such as additions and omissions can be made based on the knowledge of those skilled in the art, provided that they do not deviate from the spirit of the claims.

[0085] For example, as another method for manufacturing the eye mask 100, a pre-processed eye mask body 106 may be prepared by cutting a single layer of sheet material or a laminated sheet body in which multiple sheet materials are integrated along the score line 1x of the eye mask body 1, and then forming the eye mask 100 from the pre-processed eye mask body 106. Note that the pre-processed eye mask body 106 in this case is a laminated sheet body in which dot-like heat-sealed lines 2D are formed inside the outline of the eye mask body 1.

[0086] In this case, first, a folding (overlapping) process is carried out in which each of the concealing portions 1E, 1E of the unprocessed eye mask body 106 shown in Figure 14 is folded toward the nose pad portion 1N at a fold line 4 (planned fold line 4x) in the vertical direction Z located in the middle of the mask in the horizontal direction Y (Figure 14 → Figure 15).

[0087] Next, a heat sealing process is performed on the folded unprocessed eye mask body 107 (106 → 107) shown in Figure 15, in which an upper fused portion 2A that heat seals the overlapping portions to each other downward from the intersection of the fold line 4 and the upper outline line 1u, a lower fused portion 2B that heat seals the overlapping portions to each other upward from the intersection of the fold line 4 and the lower outline line 1d, and a non-fused portion 3 located intermediate the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B and not heat seals the overlapping portions to each other, are simultaneously formed in a row along the inside of the fold line 4 (Figures 15 → 16).

[0088] Furthermore, after the heat sealing step, a cutting step is performed on the folded upper and lower heat sealed eye mask body 108 (107→108) shown in Fig. 16, in which the fold-back line 4 is cut in the area near the upper outline 1u and the lower outline 1d into an inclined line 4t that approaches the nose pad portion 1N as it approaches the intersection point (Fig. 16→Fig. 17). This cutting step may be performed before the heat sealing step or may be omitted.

[0089] In this manner, the eye mask body 1 shown in Fig. 17 is formed from the unprocessed eye mask body 106 shown in Fig. 14. By fixing the attachment 9 (here, the ear loops) to this eye mask body 1, the eye mask 100 shown in Figs. 1 to 6 is completed.

[0090] In addition, the eye mask 100 of the first embodiment has the attachment bodies 9, 9 that form string-like ear loops attached later, but it may also be an eye mask 110 as shown in Figures 18 to 24, which is formed after the attachment body material is attached to the main body material of the eye mask.

[0091] That is, the eye mask 110 of the second embodiment comprises a heat-sealable, horizontally elongated main body 1 having blindfold portions 1E, 1E formed on either side of a central nose pad portion 1N, and a pair of attachment bodies 8, 8 having (annular) ear loop portions 8E, 8E formed on the left and right sides of the main body, connected to the end sides of each blindfold portion 1E, 1E, and having heat-sealable and stretchable properties.

[0092] 18 to 21 show the attachment 8 stretched outward in the lateral direction Y, while the attachment 8 in FIGS. 22 to 24 shows the attachment 8 in a non-stretched state (natural state).

[0093] As shown in Figures 18 to 24, in the eye mask 110, in an overlapping form (see Figure 22) in which each concealing portion 1E, 1E is folded together with the ear hook portions 8E, 8E (here, the entire wearing body 8, 8) on the nose pad portion 1N side at a fold line 4 in the vertical direction Z located in the middle of the fold line 4 in the horizontal direction Y, an upper fused portion 2A whose overlap is heat-sealed to each other downward from the intersection of the fold line 4 and the upper outline line 1u, a lower fused portion 2B whose overlap is heat-sealed to each other upward from the intersection of the fold line 4 and the lower outline line 1d, and a non-fused portion 3 located halfway between the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B whose overlap is not heat-sealed to each other are arranged in a row along the inside of the fold line 4.

[0094] The upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B here are heat-fused portions (hardened portions) that have hardened in dots along the intended heat-fusion line 2y (see Figure 28), and the distance between adjacent heat-fused portions is narrower and each heat-fused portion has a larger area than the other heat-fused portions 2D and 2J described later.

[0095] When the eye mask 110 is used, each of the concealing portions 1E, 1E is unfolded from the fold line 4 together with the ear loop portions 8E, 8E (here, the entire attachment body 8, 8) and spread outward in the horizontal direction Y, and as shown in Figures 19 to 21, the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B are folded so as to face each other and approach each other on the fold line 4, sandwiching the non-fused portion 3 therebetween, resulting in a bulging shape that protrudes toward the front of the face as a whole.

[0096] This bulging shape is the same as in the first embodiment. The upper fused parts 2A and the lower fused parts 2B on the left and right contribute to maintaining this bulging shape, as in the first embodiment. When worn by a user, the left and right fold lines 4 of the eye mask body 1 are located near the eye positions E, E that correspond to the positions of the left and right eyes of the user, as in the first embodiment (see FIG. 18). The nose pads 1N are not cut along a cut line, but are cut out in a triangular shape.

[0097] This eye mask 110 is different from the eye mask 100 of the first embodiment in the attachment bodies 8, 8 and the manner in which the attachment bodies 8, 8 are joined to the eye mask body 1, but the eye mask body 1 has almost the same structure.

[0098] The sheet material constituting the mounting body 8 is made of a single-layer or multi-layer fabric (nonwoven fabric) layered on top of each other, or a material made by bonding these together, and can be a planar, heat-sealable and stretchable mounting body material 81. The sheet material here is a stretchable single-layer sheet body that is a heat-sealable member (heat-sealable member: in this case, a nonwoven fabric mainly made of thermoplastic resin) that can be melted and welded by heat treatment.

[0099] Each wearing body 8 integrally comprises joints 8J overlapping the left and right ends of the eye mask body 1 in the lateral direction Y, and ear hooks 8E that are annular or loop-shaped at least when in use on the outer side of the joints 8J in the lateral direction Y. The joints 8J are overlapping regions L (see FIG. 25) that overlap with the surface 1a of the eye mask body 1, and are joined to the eye mask body 1 by heat fusion within the overlapping region L. The eye mask body 1 here is a laminated sheet body in which multiple sheet materials are overlapped, and has almost no stretchability.

[0100] A method for manufacturing the eye mask 110 will be described with reference to FIGS.

[0101] It should be noted that lines 1x, 2x, 2z, 3c1 to 3c3, 2y, 4x, and 5c1 to 5c3 are all imaginary lines indicating planned processing positions and do not actually exist.

[0102] First, the eye mask manufacturing device executes a laminated sheet forming process (lamination process) and a first heat sealing process. First, a plurality of strip-shaped sheet materials (fabric) are stacked so that their longitudinal directions are aligned to form a material 111 (main body material) of the eye mask main body 1 that is continuous in the vertical direction Z, and a pair of materials 81 (wearing body material) of the wearing bodies 8, 8 that are also continuous in the vertical direction Z are stacked on both the left and right ends of the sheet width direction SY of the material 111, and these are made into a laminated sheet 201 and conveyed in the conveying direction C along the longitudinal direction, as shown in FIG.

[0103] Here, in the material 111 (main body material) of the eye mask body 1, the material 81 (wearing body material) of the wearing bodies 8, 8 is layered on the side that will become the front surface 1a of the eye mask body 1.

[0104] In addition, the outer ends of the materials 81, 81 of the left and right mounting bodies 8, 8 in the sheet width direction SY, which are the left and right ends of the laminated sheet 201 in the sheet width direction SY, may be pipe-processed.

[0105] Next, a strip-shaped laminated sheet 201 is carried in along its longitudinal direction (C), and the laminated sheet 201 is subjected to spot-like heat fusion (thermal welding) along predetermined heat fusion lines 2x, 2z to form spot-like heat fusion lines 2D, 2J.

[0106] 25, the eye mask 110 (which may be called the ruled body 1x) is set in a continuous manner in the conveying direction C on the strip-shaped laminated sheet 201, with the nose pad 1N at the front or rear (here, the front: the lower side in Figs. 18 to 24) in the conveying direction C, the blindfolds 1E, 1E on both sides in the sheet width direction SY perpendicular to the conveying direction (C), and the joints 8J and ear hooks 8E on both outsides of the blindfolds 1E, 1E, respectively, and the main body 1 (main body ruled body 1w) on which the nose pad 1N and the blindfolds 1E, 1E are respectively positioned is set on each of the eye masks 110 (ruled body 1x). This setting means that the eye mask 110 is repeatedly transferred to the strip-shaped laminated sheet 201 (eye mask material) in the vertical direction Z to draw multiple ruled bodies 1x (whole ruled bodies), and the main body ruled body 1w to which the main body 1 of each eye mask 110 is transferred is drawn on the ruled body 1x. Based on this premise, the intended heat fusion line 2x corresponding to the dotted heat fusion line 2D is set in each marking body 1x of the main body material 111 as a line passing inside and near the outline line w1 (planned outline line) of the main body 1 (main body marking body 1w), and the intended heat fusion line 2z corresponding to the dotted heat fusion line 2J is set as a line extending within the area (area corresponding to the joint 8J) that is inside the outline line w1 (planned outline line) of the main body marking body 1w (main body 1) within the overlapping area L between the main body material 111 and the attachment body materials 81, 81.

[0107] The dotted heat fusion lines 2J (lines to be heat fused 2z) are not limited to being linear. Instead of the dotted heat fusion lines 2J, dispersed heat fusion points may be used in which predetermined points dispersed within the overlapping region L are heat fused, or a heat fusion surface may be used in which the overlapping region L is heat fused in a wide area.

[0108] The formation of dotted heat-sealed lines 2D forms a material 112 (main material) of the eye mask body 1 that is continuous in the vertical direction Z, in which multiple sheet materials (multi-layered fabrics) are integrated (lamination process). At the same time, the formation of dotted heat-sealed lines 2J forms a laminated sheet body 202 (eye mask material) in which the material 111 (main material) and the material 81 (wearing body material) of a pair of wearing bodies 8, 8 that are continuous in the vertical direction Z at the left and right ends of the sheet width direction SY are joined in the overlapping areas (first heat-sealing process). The formed laminated sheet body 202 (81, 112, 81) is conveyed in the conveying direction C along its longitudinal direction (see FIG. 25).

[0109] As in the first embodiment, the dot-like heat fusion lines 2D, 2J are formed by applying pressure and heat (heat fusion, thermal welding) to the dot-like heat fusion intended lines 2x, 2z using a cylindrical embossing mold, thereby joining multiple sheet materials and forming lines 2D, 2J (dot-like heat fusion lines) of dot-like hardened heat fusion portions (hardened portions) along the lines 2x.

[0110] The material 112 (main body material) of the eye mask body 1 and the material 81 (wearing body material) of the wearing body 8 may be single-layered or multi-layered. When both (112, 81) are single-layered, the lamination process can be omitted.

[0111] Also, the heat fusion treatment in the lamination step (lamination of sheets that will become the main body material and integration thereof) and the first heat fusion step (integration of the main body material and the fitting material) are performed simultaneously, but they may be performed separately. For example, the lamination step may be performed first to form the main body material 112 in which multiple sheet materials are integrated, and then the first heat fusion step may be performed to continuously heat fusion-bond a pair of fitting materials 81, 81 to the left and right ends of the main body material 112 in the sheet width direction SY to integrate them into the eye mask material 202. In other words, the lamination step may be performed before the first heat fusion step.

[0112] Next, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus executes a both-end cutting process (first cutting process, cutting process) shown in Fig. 26. In the both-end cutting process, the laminated sheet body 202 (eye mask material) conveyed in the longitudinal direction (C) is cut at predetermined positions on both ends of the outline (planned outline of each ruled body 1x) of each set eye mask 110 (including the main body 1 and the attachment bodies 8, 8) in the sheet width direction SY, forming a continuous eye mask body 203 in which the eye masks 110 are connected in the vertical direction Z (C), and conveyed out in the continuing direction (here, coinciding with the conveying direction C).

[0113] Specifically, the strip-shaped laminated sheet 202 having the heat-sealed portions 2D, 2J formed thereon is sent out in the conveying direction C, and cut along the lines to cut 3c1, 3c2, 3c3 by a cutting die (not shown) in a predetermined second working section W2.

[0114] The cutting lines 3c1 and 3c2 here have an upper concave outline 3c1 among the upper outline 1u and a lower concave outline 3c2 among the lower outline 1d, so that the upper outline 1u of each eye mask 110 (each lined body 1x) is concave downward and the lower outline 1d is concave upward in the overlapping region L between the main body material 112 of each eye mask 110 (each lined body 1x) and the wearing body material 81 and 81 of the eye mask 110 (each lined body 1x). The upper concave outline 3c1 and the lower concave outline 3c2 are connected in a ring shape and are cut in such a way that the inside is cut out (cut out). The cutting line 3c3 is a cut to form the ear hook portion 8E, and the cut is made here to cut out a T-shaped region and form an opening.

[0115] The ear hook portion 8E may simply be provided with perforations so that the user can cut it themselves when using the ear hook portion to form a circular or loop shape.

[0116] By cutting along the intended cutting lines 3c1, 3c2, and 3c3, the laminated sheet 202 becomes a laminated sheet 203 in which a line 5c1 (see FIG. 26) remains where an upper outline 1u of one of the markings 1x of the eye masks 110 adjacent in the longitudinal direction (C) coincides with a lower outline 1d of the other. In other words, the laminated sheet 202 becomes a continuous eye mask 203 in which the eye masks 110 are continuously connected in the vertical direction Z (C).

[0117] Here, the eye mask 110 is also continuously connected in the vertical direction Z(C) near the nose pads 1N of the eye mask body 1, which is a portion where the upper outline 1u and the lower outline 1d do not coincide.

[0118] Next, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus executes the folding process (overlapping process) shown in Fig. 27. In the folding process, the eye mask continuous body 203 is conveyed in along the continuous direction (which coincides with the conveying direction C in this case), and the concealing portions 1E, 1E of each set eye mask 110 (ruled body 1x) are folded together with the ear loops 8E, 8E toward the nose pad portion 1N side (the center side in the horizontal direction Y) at the fold-back lines 4 in the vertical direction Z (which coincides with the conveying direction C in this case) located in the middle of the horizontal direction Y, and conveyed out in the continuous direction (C).

[0119] Specifically, the eye mask continuum 203 is sent out in the conveying direction C, and in the third work section W3, the left and right body end portions 1S, 1S that are outside the left and right planned folding lines 4x (which coincide with line E) are folded back together with the left and right attachment bodies 8, 8 by a known folding back die (not shown) to overlap the body center portion 1C. As a result, the eye mask continuum 103 becomes the eye mask continuum 204 in a folded state, with the left and right body end portions 1S, 1S overlapping the body center portion 1C.

[0120] In the folded eye mask continuum 204, the folded left and right main body end portions 1S, 1S do not overlap each other, but the left and right attachment bodies 8, 8 joined to them overlap each other. In FIG. 27, the left attachment body 81 is drawn with a solid line, and the right attachment body 81 is drawn with a thin line and a thin broken line, and they overlap. In addition, the nose pad portion 1N (the intended cutting line 5c2) is formed at a position where it does not overlap both the folded left and right main body end portions 1S, 1S and the left and right attachment bodies 8, 8 (see FIG. 29). In FIG. 27, the left and right main body end portions 1S, 1S and the left and right attachment bodies 8, 8 appear to be separated above and below the section W3, but this is only because the illustration of the folding process is omitted, and they are actually connected.

[0121] Next, the eye mask manufacturing device executes the heat fusion process shown in Fig. 28. For the eye mask continuous body 204 in the folded state, the following are simultaneously formed in a line along the inside of the fold-back line: an upper fused portion 2A that heat-fuses the overlaps (1S, 1C) of each set eye mask 110 (scored body 1x) from the intersection of the fold-back line 4 and the upper outline line 1u downward, a lower fused portion 2B that heat-fuses the overlaps (1S, 1C) from the intersection of the fold-back line 4 and the lower outline line 1d upward, and a non-fused portion 3 that is located between the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B and does not heat-fuses the overlaps (1S, 1C) of each set eye mask 110 (scored body 1x). As a result, the overlapping main body end portions 1S, 1S and the main body center portion 1C are integrated at the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B.

[0122] Specifically, the continuous strip of eye masks 204 in the folded state is sent out in the conveying direction C, and is pressurized and heated (heat fused, thermally welded) along the linear line 2y to be heat-fused by a cylindrical embossing die (not shown) in a predetermined fourth work section W4 shown in Fig. 28. As a result, heat is applied by friction to the pressurized position (for example, ultrasonic welding, high-frequency welding, etc.), and lines 2A, 2B (dot-like heat-fused lines) of heat-fused parts (hardened parts) that have hardened in dots along the line 2y are formed on the continuous eye masks 204 in the folded state.

[0123] In each eye mask 110 (scored body 1x) of the folded eye mask continuum 204, the vertical heights HA, HB of the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B are both formed in a continuous dot shape within a height range of less than 1 / 3 of the total vertical height HZ of each eye mask 110 (1x) (see Figure 24).

[0124] Here, the dot-like heat-sealed portions arranged in a line forming the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B have a narrower spacing between adjacent dots and a larger individual heat-sealed area than the dot-like heat-sealed portions 2D (dot-like heat-sealed lines).

[0125] In addition, in each eye mask 110 (scored body 1x) of the eye mask continuum 204 in the folded state, the upper fused portion 2A is heat-sealed to each other at the overlaps (1S, 1C) as the fold line 4 approaches the nose pad 1N side (the center side in the sheet width direction SY) as it approaches the intersection position of the fold line 4 and the upper outline line 1u when moving downward, and the lower fused portion 2B is heat-sealed to each other at the overlaps (1S, 1C) as the fold line 4 approaches the nose pad 1N side (the center side in the sheet width direction SY) as it approaches the intersection position of the fold line 4 when moving upward from the intersection position of the fold line 4 and the lower outline line 1d.

[0126] Furthermore, among the eye masks 110 (scored bodies 1x) adjacent to each other in the conveying direction C in the folded eye mask continuous body 204, the upper fused portion 2A of the eye mask 110 (1x) on the downstream side of the conveying direction and the lower fused portion 2B of the eye mask 110 (1x) on the upstream side of the conveying direction are connected to each other, and are continuously heated and pressurized (thermal fusion, heat welding) in the working section W4.

[0127] Finally, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus executes a cutting process near the heat-sealed portion (second cutting process) shown in Fig. 29. In the cutting process near the heat-sealed portion, the eye mask continuum 205 (204 → 205) in the folded state after the heat-sealing process is cut along the outside of the upper and lower inclined lines formed by the heat-sealed portions 2A, 2B in the areas near the upper outline 1u and lower outline 1d of each eye mask 110 (scored body 1x) that have been set, to form an inclined line 4t.

[0128] The eye mask manufacturing apparatus also executes a separation cutting process (second cutting process) shown in Fig. 29. In the separation cutting process, the eye mask continuum 205 (204 → 205) in a folded state after the heat sealing process is cut (cut and separated) at the upper outline line 1u and the lower outline line 1d of each eye mask 110 (scored body 1x) that have been set, and adjacent eye masks 110 in the continuous direction (C) are separated from each other.

[0129] Furthermore, in the nose pad forming process in which the eye mask manufacturing apparatus executes the nose pad forming process shown in Figure 29, the eye mask continuum 205 (204 → 205) in the folded state after the heat fusing process is cut upward in a triangular shape from the center of the boundary line of adjacent eye masks 110 (scored body 1x) in the continuum direction (C) to form nose pad portion 1N that fits easily around the nose.

[0130] Here, the heat-sealed portion vicinity cutting step, the separation cutting step, and the nose pad forming step are simultaneously performed as one cutting step (second cutting step). Note that the heat-sealed portion vicinity cutting step and the separation cutting step may be performed in order of the former being performed first and the latter being performed later.

[0131] Specifically, the strip-shaped continuous eye mask strip 205 on which the linear heat-sealed portions 2A and 2B are formed is sent out in the conveying direction C in a folded state, and cut along the intended cutting lines 5c by a cutting die (not shown) in a predetermined fifth working section W5 shown in Fig. 29. The intended cutting lines 5c include a line 5c1 for cutting off each eye mask 110 in the continuous eye mask strip 205 in which the eye masks 110 (scored bodies 1x) are continuous in the conveying direction C, a line 5c2 for cutting out a triangular shape at the nose position of the main body 1 of each eye mask 110, and a line 5c3 for cutting off the outer side of the linear heat-sealed portions 2A and 2B in the sheet width direction SY. By cutting along these lines 5c1, 5c2, and 5c3, the eye masks 110 in the folded state are individually separated.

[0132] The line 5c3 is set outside the linear heat-sealed portions 2A and 2B in the sheet width direction SY so as not to overlap them, and is set so as to cut beyond the line E to the outside.

[0133] In addition, among the eye masks 110 adjacent to each other in the conveying direction C in the folded eye mask continuum 205, the outer line 5c3 of the upper fused portion 2A of the eye mask 110 on the downstream side of the conveying direction is connected to the outer line 5c3 of the lower fused portion 2B of the eye mask 110 on the upstream side of the conveying direction, and are continuously cut in the working section W5.

[0134] In the folding step (see FIG. 27), the attachment body material 81 may be cut into individual attachment bodies 8 (cut along the line 5c1 on the attachment body material 81 in FIG. 25) immediately before the folding process.

[0135] The nose pad forming step (see FIG. 29) may be performed in the both end cutting step (first cutting step, cutting step: see FIG. 26). If it is performed in the both end cutting step, it becomes possible to cut the nose pad 1N (cut along line 5c2) at the position where it overlaps with the central part 1C of the main body without being concerned about the overlap of the attachments 8, 8 or both ends 1S, 1S of the main body.

[0136] As another method for manufacturing the eye mask 110, a pre-processed eye mask 126 (see FIG. 30) may be prepared in which a single-layer sheet material or a horizontally elongated laminated sheet body 126A (main body 1) formed by integrating multiple sheet materials with a single layer of sheet material and a pair of heat-sealable and stretchable sheet bodies 126B, 126B (fitting bodies 8, 8) overlapping the surface of the main body 1 at both ends in the sheet width direction SY, are cut on the score body 1x of the eye mask 110, and the eye mask 110 is formed from the pre-processed eye mask 126. Note that the pre-processed eye mask 126 here employs a laminated sheet body in which dot-like heat-sealed lines 2D are formed inside the outline of the eye mask main body 1 and dot-like heat-sealed lines 2J are formed at both ends of the main body 1 in the sheet width direction SY. Specifically, the unprocessed eye mask 126 here is a laminated sheet body in which a sheet body 126A, in which multiple sheet materials are integrated, is joined by dot-like heat fusion lines 2D to form the main body 1, and the sheet body 126A forming the main body 1 is joined to a pair of sheet bodies 126B, 126B forming the attachment bodies 8, 8 by dot-like heat fusion lines 2J.

[0137] In this case, first, a folding (overlapping) process is carried out in which each of the concealing portions 1E, 1E of the unprocessed eye mask 126 shown in Figure 30 is folded toward the nose pad portion 1N along with the ear hook portions 8E, 8E (here, the attachment bodies 8, 8) at a fold line 4 (planned fold line 4x) in the vertical direction Z located in the middle of the mask in the horizontal direction Y (Figure 30 → Figure 31).

[0138] Next, a heat sealing process is performed on the folded unprocessed eye mask 127 (126 → 127) shown in Figure 31, in which an upper fused portion 2A (Figure 32) that heat seals the overlapping portions to each other downward from the intersection of the fold line 4 and the upper outline line 1u, a lower fused portion 2B (Figure 32) that heat seals the overlapping portions to each other upward from the intersection of the fold line 4 and the lower outline line 1d, and a non-fused portion 3 (Figure 32) located intermediate the upper fused portion 2A and the lower fused portion 2B and not heat seals the overlapping portions to each other, are simultaneously formed in a row along the inside of the fold line 4 (Figure 31 → Figure 32).

[0139] Furthermore, after the heat sealing step, a cutting step is performed on the folded upper and lower heat sealed eye mask 128 (127→128) shown in Fig. 32, in which the fold-back line 4 is cut in the area near the upper outline 1u and the lower outline 1d into an inclined line 4t that approaches the nose pad portion 1N as it approaches the intersection point (Fig. 32→Fig. 33). This cutting step may be performed before the heat sealing step or may be omitted.

[0140] In this manner, the eye mask 110 shown in FIGS. 18 to 24 is formed from the unprocessed eye mask 126 shown in FIG. [Explanation of symbols]
