Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a handled container used for packaging fluid contents such as pet food and baby food, a manufacturing method for a handled container, and a package.
[0002] In this specification and the claims, the top and bottom of Figs. 2, 3, 7 and 8 will be referred to as the top and bottom. [Background technology]
[0003] Pet food treats are used as a communication tool with pets, and one of the attractions of pet food is that owners can feed their pets directly from their hands. However, while food in a stick shape or other dried solid form does not stain hands very much, popular semi-solid (liquid) food containing a lot of moisture does stain hands, so pet food is fed to pets by transferring it to a separate feeding container, or by squeezing pet food from a stick-shaped multi-layer film container out of the container using a slider and feeding it directly to the pet. However, even in this case, the contents may get on hands when squeezing, or if more than necessary is squeezed out, the contents may drop on the floor, soiling the surroundings.
[0004] In this regard, a handled container has been proposed that allows pets to be fed directly with one hand without having to squeeze out the contents from a separate feeding container or sealed bag, and that includes a container body made of peripheral and bottom walls and having an opening surrounded by the upper end of the peripheral wall, an outward flange provided at the upper end of the peripheral wall, and a handle provided to protrude outward from a portion of the flange in the circumferential direction, the bottom wall, peripheral wall, flange and handle being integrally formed from synthetic resin, and the handle having a reinforcing recess having a certain length and a longitudinal direction aligned with the longitudinal direction of the handle (see Patent Document 1). This handled container is made by subjecting a synthetic resin sheet to compressed air forming or vacuum forming. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0005] [Patent Document 1] JP 2021-151878 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0006] However, the handled container described in Patent Document 1 is made of resin, and therefore has a problem of insufficient barrier properties to protect the contents from gas, water vapor, light, etc., resulting in insufficient preservation of the contents. In addition, there is a problem of insufficient strength of the handle, which can cause deformation or breakage.
[0007] In view of the above-mentioned circumstances, an object of the present invention is to provide a handled container having improved barrier properties and increased strength of the handle, a manufacturing method for a handled container, and a package. [Means for solving the problem]
[0008] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention comprises the following aspects.
[0009] 1) A container comprising a container body having a peripheral wall and a bottom wall and an opening surrounded by the upper end of the peripheral wall, an outward flange provided at the upper end of the peripheral wall, and a handle provided at a portion of the flange in the circumferential direction so as to protrude outward, wherein the peripheral wall, bottom wall, flange, and handle are integrally formed, A handled container comprising a barrier layer made of metal foil, a base layer provided on one side of the barrier layer and including a synthetic resin layer, and a heat-sealed resin layer provided on the other side of the barrier layer, the heat-sealed resin layer forming the upper surface of the flange portion and the inner surface of the container body.
[0010] 2) A handled container as described in 1) above, obtained by molding a raw material, in which, when the thickness of the flange and handle is d1 mm, the thickness of the upper end of the peripheral wall of the container body is d2 mm, and the thickness of the part excluding the upper end of the peripheral wall of the container body is d3 mm, d1 is the same as the thickness of the raw material, d1>d2>d3, d2 is 60 to 80% of d1, and d3 is 45 to 65% of d1.
[0011] 3) The handled container according to 1) above, wherein both sides of the metal foil that serves as the barrier layer are subjected to a chemical conversion treatment.
[0012] 4) The handled container according to 1) above, wherein the barrier layer is made of an aluminum foil formed from an aluminum alloy containing 0.7 to 1.7 mass % Fe, the remainder being Al and unavoidable impurities.
[0013] 5) The handled container according to 1) above, wherein the synthetic resin layer of the base material layer is made of a polyamide film.
[0014] 6) The handled container described in 1) above, in which the container body is formed by bulging processing.
[0015] 7) A handled container as described in 1) above, in which a reinforcing portion is provided on the handle portion.
[0016] 8) A handled container as described in 7) above, wherein the reinforcing portion of the handle consists of at least one reinforcing rib extending in the longitudinal direction of the handle, and the reinforcing rib has a generally U-shaped cross section that protrudes downward and opens upward.
[0017] 9) A container with a handle as described in 8) above, in which the wing portions between both widthwise edges of the handle and the reinforcing ribs are each bent obliquely upward.
[0018] 10) A handled container as described in 9) above, in which a protrusion protruding outward is integrally provided on a certain length of the wing portion of the handle on the protruding end side of the handle.
[0019] 11) A method for producing a handled container according to any one of 1) to 10) above, comprising forming a container body consisting of a peripheral wall and a bottom wall by applying an extrusion process to a material consisting of a laminated material including a barrier layer made of a metal foil, a base layer including a synthetic resin layer provided on one side of the barrier layer, and a heat-sealed resin layer provided on the other side of the barrier layer, and then cutting the material to punch out the handled container so that a flange portion is formed at the upper end of the peripheral wall portion of the container body and a handle portion protruding outward from part of the circumferential direction of the flange portion is formed.
[0020] 12) A blank portion is provided on a strip-shaped material made of the laminated material and having a certain width and length, the blank portion being composed of a first portion forming a container body, a second portion surrounding the periphery of the first portion and forming a flange portion, and a third portion continuing to a part of the peripheral edge of the second portion and forming a handle. The periphery of the first portion of the blank portion is pressed from above and below all around to be fixed, and the first portion is deformed by being stretched with a punch to perform an embossing process to form the container body, after which the second portion which becomes the flange portion remains at the upper end of the peripheral wall portion of the container body. A method for manufacturing a handled container as described in 11) above, both of which include cutting the strip-shaped laminate material so that a third portion that becomes the handle protruding outward from a portion of the circumferential direction of the flange remains, and are characterized in that, when the thickness of the flange and handle is d1 mm, the thickness of the upper end of the peripheral wall of the container body is d2 mm, and the thickness of the part excluding the upper end of the peripheral wall of the container body is d3 mm, the following conditions are satisfied: d1 is the same as the thickness of the strip-shaped material before processing, d1>d2>d3, d2 is 60-80% of d1, and d3 is 45-65% of d1.
[0021] 13) A package in which contents are placed in the container body of a handled container described in any one of 1) to 10) above, and the opening of the container body is sealed with a lid material whose peripheral portion is heat-sealed to the top surface of the flange portion. Effect of the Invention
[0022] The handled containers 1) to 10) above are provided with a barrier layer made of metal foil, which improves the barrier properties that protect the contents from gas, water vapor, light, etc., and ensures sufficient preservation of the contents. In addition, the barrier layer made of metal foil serves as a framework, and a base layer containing a synthetic resin layer is formed on one side of the framework, while a heat-sealed resin layer is formed on the other side, which increases the strength of the handle and prevents deformation and breakage, while ensuring corrosion resistance.
[0023] The handled container of 2) above is manufactured by a method including providing a blank portion on a strip-shaped material having a certain width and length, the blank portion being made up of a first portion forming the container body, a second portion surrounding the first portion and forming the flange portion, and a third portion continuing to a part of the periphery of the second portion and forming the handle, pressing and fixing the first portion of the blank portion from above and below all around, and deforming the first portion by stretching it with a punch to form the container body, and then cutting the strip-shaped laminate material so that the second portion forming the flange portion remains at the upper end of the peripheral wall of the container body, and the third portion forming the handle portion protruding outward from a part of the flange portion in the circumferential direction remains, thereby punching out the handled container. Therefore, wrinkles are less likely to occur in the flange portion and the handle portion. Furthermore, the thickness of the flange and handle portions of the manufactured handled container is almost the same as the thickness of the original strip-shaped material, and only the thicknesses of the peripheral wall and bottom wall portions of the container body are thinner than the thickness of the original strip-shaped material, resulting in the thickness relationship described above in 2).
[0024] Furthermore, since the outer shapes of the flange and handle portions of the manufactured handled container vary little from the outer shapes of the second and third portions of the blank portion of the strip of material, multiple blank portions can be laid out on a single strip of material in a manner that is optimal for improving material yield.
[0025] According to the handled container of 3) above, since a chemical conversion treatment is applied to both sides of the metal foil that serves as a barrier layer, it becomes possible to apply a retort treatment to the package in which the contents are placed in the container body of the handled container and the opening of the container body is closed by a lid material whose peripheral portion is heat-sealed to the upper surface of the flange portion.
[0026] According to the container with a handle described above in 4), the barrier layer is made of an aluminum foil formed from an aluminum alloy containing 0.7 to 1.7 mass % Fe, with the remainder being Al and unavoidable impurities. This ensures sufficient strength for the handle, and also ensures sufficient strength at the connection between the container body and the handle, thereby suppressing deformation during feeding.
[0027] According to the handle container of 5) above, since the polyamide film of the base layer is included, the laminated material consisting of the barrier layer, the base layer and the heat-sealed resin layer has improved stretchability and puncture resistance, and when manufactured by a method including bulging processing, wrinkles are unlikely to occur in the flange and the handle, and the container body is unlikely to break. In addition, a polyethylene terephthalate film can be laminated on the inner side of the polyamide film of the peripheral wall and bottom wall of the container body in the base layer, and on the upper side of the polyamide film of the handle. In this case, the strength of the connection part between the container body and the handle is increased, and deformation during feeding can be suppressed, making feeding easier. Moreover, when the above-mentioned polyethylene terephthalate film is laminated, a printed layer can be provided between the polyamide film and the polyethylene terephthalate film.
[0028] According to the handled containers of 7) and 8) above, the strength of the handle is further increased, making it possible to prevent breakage.
[0029] According to the handled containers of 9) and 10) above, when holding the handle for feeding, the thumb is positioned between the two parts bent diagonally upward between the reinforcing ribs and both side edges in the width direction on the upper surface of the handle, and the index finger and middle finger are placed along the underside of the handle, making it easy to hold the handle and facilitating feeding.
[0030] According to the manufacturing method of the handled container of the above 11), wrinkles are less likely to occur in the flange portion and the handle portion of the manufactured handled container.
[0031] In the manufacturing method of the handled container of 12) above, the first part of the blank part of the strip-shaped material is pressed from above and below all around to be fixed, and the first part is stretched and deformed with a punch to form the container body, and then the blank part of the strip-shaped material on which the container body is formed is punched out, so that the thickness of the flange and handle of the manufactured handled container is almost the same as that of the original strip-shaped material, and the thickness of the peripheral wall and bottom wall of the container body is thinner than that of the original strip-shaped material. Therefore, the thickness relationship as described in 2) above can be achieved, and wrinkles are less likely to occur in the flange and handle.
[0032] Furthermore, since the outer shapes of the flange and handle portions of the manufactured handled container vary little from the outer shapes of the second and third portions of the blank portion of the strip of material, multiple blank portions can be laid out on a single strip of material in a manner that is optimal for improving material yield.
[0033] The package of 13) above has excellent airtightness when the lid is heat sealed to the top surface of the flange, since the occurrence of wrinkles on the flange and handle of the handled container is suppressed. Moreover, the handle is strong, so it is stable when held. In particular, in the case of the package having the handled container of 3) above, it becomes possible to perform retort treatment. [Figure 9] FIG. 11 is a plan view showing the state in which a pet is fed using the handled container of the second embodiment. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0035] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, the ratios of the thickness of the peripheral wall, bottom wall, flange and handle of the container body to the length and width of the handle are exaggerated to make them easier to understand. However, the technical scope of the present invention is not limited to the embodiments shown in the drawings.
[0036] Figures 1 and 2 show a handled container according to the present invention, Figure 3 shows a laminate material used to manufacture the handled container, and Figure 4 shows a layout of blank portions provided on a strip of material used to manufacture the handled container of Figure 1.
[0037] 1 and 2, the handled container (1) comprises a container body (2) consisting of a peripheral wall (21) and a bottom wall (22) and having a circular opening (23) surrounded by the upper end of the peripheral wall (21), an outward flange (3) provided at the upper end of the peripheral wall (21), and a handle (4) provided to protrude outward from a portion of the circumferential direction of the flange (3), the peripheral wall (21) and bottom wall (22) of the container body (2), the flange (3), and the handle (4) being integrally formed. The handled container (1) is obtained by molding a material.
[0038] The opening (23) surrounded by the upper end of the peripheral wall (21) of the container body (2), the bottom wall (22), and the flange (3) have a circular outer shape in a plan view. The peripheral wall (21) of the container body (2) is gradually tapered downward, and the lower end of the peripheral wall (21) is connected to the bottom wall (22) via a connecting portion (24) that protrudes outward and has an arc-shaped cross section (partially cylindrical surface shape). In addition, a round is formed between the inner surface of the peripheral wall (21) and the upper surface of the flange (3), and between the outer surface of the peripheral wall (21) and the lower surface of the flange (3).
[0039] The thickness of the flange portion (3) and the handle portion (4) is constant throughout. If the thickness of the handle portion (4) is d1 mm, the thickness of the upper end of the peripheral wall portion (21) of the container body (2) is d2 mm, and the thickness of the portion of the peripheral wall portion (21) of the container body (2) excluding the upper end is d3 mm, then d1>d2>d3, and it is preferable that d2 is 60-80% of d1, and d3 is 45-65% of d1. If the thickness of the bottom wall portion (22) is d4 mm, then d1>d2>d3>d4, and it is preferable that d4 is 42-62% of d1. Note that d2 is the thickness from the upper end of the peripheral wall portion (21) in the range of 5-50% of the total height, and d3 is the thickness from the part with the thickness of d2 to the connecting portion (24).
[0040] Here, the thickness of the flange portion (3) and the handle portion (4) is preferably 0.05 to 0.5 mm. If the thickness of the flange portion (3) and the handle portion (4) is less than 0.05 mm, the container body (2) is easily damaged by punctures or pinholes, and sufficient strength as a container cannot be obtained. If the thickness exceeds 0.5 mm, the manufacturing cost becomes higher than necessary.
[0041] In addition, taking into consideration container functions such as ease of holding and ease of feeding, it is preferable that the diameter of the bottom wall portion (22) of the container body (2) is 10 to 40 mm, the diameter of the opening (23) of the container body (2) is 30 to 60 mm, the protruding width of the flange portion (3) is 1 to 10 mm, the width of the handle portion (4) is 15 to 30 mm, and the length from the periphery of the opening (23) to the tip of the handle portion (4) is 30 to 50 mm.
[0042] The handled container (1) is formed from a laminated material (10) including a barrier layer (11) made of metal foil as shown in FIG. 3, a base layer (12) made of a synthetic resin layer provided on one side of the barrier layer (11), and a heat-sealed resin layer (13) provided on the other side of the barrier layer (11), and the heat-sealed resin layer (13) forms the top surface of the flange portion (3), the top surface of the handle portion (4), and the innermost surface of the container body (2).
[0043] The barrier layer (11) of the laminated material (10) is a layer that protects the contents of the package in which the opening (23) of the handled container (1) is sealed by a lid material whose periphery is heat-sealed to the flange portion (3) from gas, water vapor, light, etc., and is made of a metal foil made of metals such as aluminum (including aluminum alloys; the same applies below), copper (including copper alloys), iron (stainless steel), and titanium. However, it is preferable to use aluminum foil in consideration of barrier function, processability, cost, etc. As the aluminum foil, it is preferable to use a foil made of 1000 series aluminum material such as A1N30 material specified in JIS H4160:2006, or 8000 series aluminum material such as A8021 and A8079. In particular, it is preferable to use a foil made of an aluminum material that satisfies the chemical composition of A8021 or A8079 specified in JIS H4160:2006, and has an Fe content of 0.7 to 1.7 mass% and a Si content limited to 0.1 mass% or less.
[0044] The thickness of the barrier layer (11) is preferably 30 to 140 μm. If the thickness of the barrier layer (11) is less than 30 μm, pinholes and the like are likely to occur, so that the handled container (1) using the laminated material (10) may not have sufficient barrier properties, and if it exceeds 140 μm, the cost increases and dry lamination becomes difficult. The thickness of the barrier layer (11) is more preferably 60 to 120 μm.
[0045] In addition, the amount of chromium applied to both sides of the aluminum foil is set to 0.1 to 50 mg / m per side by a treatment method such as chromate treatment, silicate treatment, or zirconium-based chemical conversion treatment. 2, preferably 2 to 20 mg / m 2 It is preferable that the chemical conversion coating is formed so as to achieve the above.
[0046] The base layer (12) is preferably formed to a thickness of 8 to 50 μm using a monolayer film made of, for example, polyolefin, polyester, polyamide, or the like, or a multilayer film formed by laminating a plurality of monolayer films. If the thickness of the base layer (12) is less than 8 μm, it becomes difficult to form the handled container (1) using the laminate material (10), and if it exceeds 50 μm, the manufacturing cost becomes higher than necessary. The thickness of the base layer (12) is more preferably 15 to 30 μm.
[0047] As the monolayer film, a non-stretched film or a biaxially stretched film is used. Examples of polyolefin include high density polyethylene (HDPE), low density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), homopolypropylene (hPP), ethylene-propylene random copolymer (rPP), and ethylene-propylene block copolymer (bPP). Examples of polyester include polybutylene terephthalate (PBT). Examples of polyamide include 6-nylon, 6.6 nylon, and MXD nylon. Among these, it is preferable to use a biaxially stretched film made of polyamide. When using a polyamide film, it is preferable to laminate a polyethylene terephthalate film on the inner side of the polyamide film on the peripheral wall and bottom wall of the container body in the base layer and on the upper side of the polyamide film on the handle. As a result, the strength of the connection part between the container body and the handle is increased, and deformation during feeding can be suppressed, making feeding easier. In addition, a printed layer can be provided between the polyamide film and the polyethylene terephthalate film.
[0048] The heat-sealable resin layer (13) is made of a polyolefin resin such as high density polyethylene (HDPE), low density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), homopolypropylene (hPP), ethylene-propylene random copolymer (rPP), ethylene-propylene block copolymer (bPP), etc., among which, it is preferable to use a non-oriented polypropylene film. In particular, it is more preferable to use a three-layer non-oriented polypropylene film in which a film made of ethylene-propylene block copolymer (bPP) is laminated on both sides of a film made of ethylene-propylene random copolymer (rPP). In such a three-layer structure, ethylene-propylene block copolymer (bPP) has excellent low-temperature impact resistance, so that even if a package containing a handled container stored in a refrigerator or freezer is dropped, the handled container will not crack or burst.
[0049] The thickness of the heat-sealable resin layer (13) is preferably 20 to 300 μm. If the thickness of the heat-sealable resin layer (13) is less than 20 μm, it may break when the lid material is heat-sealed to the flange portion (3), and if it exceeds 300 μm, it becomes difficult to form the container body (2) by bulging processing. The thickness of the heat-sealable resin layer (13) is more preferably 60 to 150 μm.
[0050] In order to ensure sufficient laminate strength, the barrier layer (11) and the base layer (12), and the barrier layer (11) and the heat-sealable resin layer (13) are preferably bonded together with an adhesive layer having a thickness of 0.5 to 10 μm, preferably 2 to 5 μm. Examples of the adhesive that can be used include urethane adhesives, epoxy adhesives, and olefin adhesives.
[0051] The handled container (1) is manufactured as follows.
[0052] First, a strip-shaped material (30) made of laminated material (10) shown in Fig. 3 and having a certain length and width is cut into a plurality of blank sections (31) so as to optimize the material yield, as shown in Fig. 4. The blank sections (31) are made up of a first section (32) that forms the container body (2), a second section (33) that surrounds the first section (32) and forms the flange section (3), and a third section (34) that is connected to a portion of the periphery of the second section (33) and forms the handle section (4).
[0053] Next, the first portion (32) of the blank portion (31) is fixed by pressing from above and below all around, and the first portion (32) is deformed by being stretched with a punch to perform an embossing process to form the container body (2) consisting of the peripheral wall portion (21) and the bottom wall portion (22).
[0054] The strip-shaped laminate material (30) is then cut to punch out the handled container (1) so that a second portion (33) that will become the flange portion (3) remains at the upper end of the peripheral wall portion (21) of the container body (2) and a third portion (34) that will become the handle portion (4) protruding outward from a portion of the circumferential direction of the flange portion (3) remains. In this manner, the handled container (1) is manufactured.
[0055] FIG. 5 shows the handle of the above-mentioned handled container (1) where a reinforcing part is provided for the purpose of improving the strength.
[0056] The handle portion (40) shown in FIG. 5(a) comprises a flat main body portion (41) and reinforcing portions (42) which are integrally provided on both side edges of the main body portion (41) and rise upward.
[0057] The handle portion (50) shown in FIG. 5(b) comprises a flat main body portion (51) and reinforcing portions (52) which are integrally provided on both side edges of the main body portion (51) and are folded back upward.
[0058] The handle portion (60) shown in FIG. 5(c) is generally corrugated, with crests (61) and troughs (62) extending in the longitudinal direction of the handle portion (60) alternately arranged in the width direction of the handle portion (60), and the crests (61) and troughs (62) serve as reinforcing portions.
[0059] The handle portion (70) shown in FIG. 5(d) comprises a flat main body portion (71) and rolled-edge reinforcing portions (72) provided so as to wrap upward around both side edges of the main body portion (71).
[0060] 6 to 9 show a second embodiment of a handled container according to the present invention. 6 to 9, the same objects and parts as those of the handled container (1) shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 are designated by the same reference numerals and detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[0061] The handled container (100) shown in Figures 6 to 8, like the handled container (1) of the first embodiment, comprises a container body (2) consisting of a peripheral wall portion (21) and a bottom wall portion (22) and having a circular opening (23) surrounded by the upper end of the peripheral wall portion (21), an outward flange portion (3) provided at the upper end of the peripheral wall portion (21), and a handle portion (110) provided so as to protrude outward from a portion of the circumferential direction of the flange portion (3), and the peripheral wall portion (21) and bottom wall portion (22) of the container body (2), the flange portion (3), and the handle portion (110) are integrally formed using the laminate material (10) shown in Figure 3.
[0062] The handle portion (110) is bent obliquely upward from the end on the flange portion (3) side toward the protruding end. At least one reinforcing rib (111) (reinforcing portion) (here, two) extending in the longitudinal direction of the handle portion (110) is provided at intervals in the width direction of the handle portion (110). The reinforcing rib (111) has a generally U-shaped cross section and is formed by deforming the handle portion (110) into a downward protruding shape so as to define a concave groove that opens upward. One end of the reinforcing rib (111) reaches the protruding end of the handle portion (110), and the other end is located near the outer periphery of the flange portion (3).
[0063] The wing portions (112) between the widthwise side edges of the handle portion (110) and the reinforcing ribs (111) are bent obliquely upward. The bending angle of the wing portions (112) gradually increases from the end of the handle portion (110) on the flange portion (3) side toward the protruding end of the handle portion (110). In addition, a protrusion (113) that protrudes outward is integrally formed on a certain length of the wing portions (112) of the handle portion (110) on the protruding end side of the handle portion (110).
[0064] According to the handled container (100) of the second embodiment described above, when holding the handle (110) for feeding, the thumb (F) is positioned between the two wings (112) bent diagonally upward on the upper surface of the handle (110) as shown by the chain line in Fig. 9, and the index finger and middle finger (not shown) are placed along the lower surface of the handle (110), improving stability when holding the handle (110) and facilitating feeding. In addition, since the barrier layer (11) made of metal foil is present in the middle of the thickness direction of the laminated material (10) forming the handled container (100), it is easy to bend the handle (110) diagonally upward and the wings (112) on both side edges of the reinforcing rib (111) diagonally upward, and the bent handle (110) and wings (112) are less likely to return to their original state. [Industrial Applicability]
[0065] The handled container according to the present invention is suitable for use as a package for packaging fluid contents such as pet food, baby food, and the like. [Explanation of symbols]
