Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an aqueous herbicidal composition. [Background technology]
[0002] N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine and triaziflam are widely known as agents having excellent herbicidal effects (see, for example, Patent Document 1). It is known that when a hydrophilic amino acid-based herbicidal compound such as N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine or glufosinate is used in combination with a hydrophobic herbicidal compound such as triaziflam and a glycol-based solvent, it exhibits excellent foliage soil treatment effects (see, for example, Patent Document 2). In addition, a composition is known that contains a water-soluble herbicidal active ingredient such as N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine or glufosinate, a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate, an organic solvent, and a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, and that can maintain a single phase when stored at low temperature (see, for example, Patent Document 3). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] International Publication No. 2008 / 018501 [Patent Document 2] JP 2020-050647 A [Patent Document 3] International Publication No. 2012 / 086617 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] Amino acid-based herbicidal active ingredients such as salts of N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine, salts of glufosinate, and salts of bialaphos are generally known as agricultural chemical active ingredients with high water solubility, whereas triaziflam, as described in Patent Document 1 for example, is known as an agricultural chemical active ingredient with poor wettability due to its water- and oil-repellency.
[0005] Therefore, there are no concrete aqueous herbicide formulations that contain two pesticide active ingredients with significantly different physical properties, such as an amino acid-based herbicidal active ingredient with high water solubility and triaziflam with poor wettability, as active ingredients, and in particular, aqueous herbicide formulations that can be sprayed directly on weeds without diluting with water. Furthermore, when developing an aqueous herbicide formulation that contains many components such as surfactants and solvents in addition to the pesticide active ingredient, it is necessary to consider a great deal of adjustments, such as the types of components and their amounts to be used, to determine whether a clear aqueous formulation can be made, whether an aqueous formulation with physical properties that allow it to be sprayed directly on weeds can be made, and whether an aqueous formulation with excellent storage stability can be made.
[0006] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an aqueous herbicidal composition which contains an amino acid-based herbicidal active ingredient and triaziflam, is clear, and has excellent storage stability. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] As a result of intensive research aimed at solving the above-mentioned problems, the inventors have found that the above-mentioned various problems can be solved by combining an amino acid-based herbicidal active ingredient, triaziflam, a specific polar solvent and a surfactant, and have thus completed the present invention.
[0008] That is, the present invention provides the following aqueous herbicide composition. 1. An aqueous herbicide composition comprising: (a) an amino acid-based herbicidal active ingredient; (b) triaziflam; (c) one or more polar solvents selected from dialkyl sulfoxides, monohydric alcohols, carboxylic acid amides, carbonate esters, and cyclic amines; (d) a surfactant; and (e) water. 2. (a) An aqueous herbicide composition according to claim 1, wherein the amino acid-based herbicidal active ingredient is one or more selected from the group consisting of salts of N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine, salts of glufosinate and salts of bialaphos. 3. (a) The aqueous herbicide composition of 2, wherein the amino acid-based herbicidal active ingredient is a salt of N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine. 4. (c) The aqueous herbicide composition according to any one of 1 to 3, wherein the polar solvent is one or more selected from the group consisting of dimethyl sulfoxide, methanol, 3-methoxy-N,N-dimethylpropanamide, propylene carbonate and 4-formylmorpholine. 5.(c) The aqueous herbicide composition of 4, wherein the polar solvent is dimethyl sulfoxide or methanol. 6. (d) The aqueous herbicide composition according to any one of 1 to 5, wherein the surfactant is one or more selected from the group consisting of polyoxyethylene castor oil, alkyl sulfates and their salts, polyoxyalkylene alkyl ethers, alkylbenzenesulfonic acids and their salts, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether phosphates and their salts, and polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfates and their salts. [0066] The aqueous herbicidal composition of the present invention can exhibit various herbicidal effects by adjusting the types and amounts of components (such as surfactants) to be combined with the active ingredient, and examples of such effects include high herbicidal effect, rapid herbicidal effect, and long-term herbicidal effect.
[0067] A high herbicidal effect means that when the aqueous herbicide composition of the present invention is applied to a certain area, it kills most of the weeds present in the area. Some aqueous herbicide formulations currently in use do not fully exert the herbicidal activity of the active ingredient, resulting in a decrease in herbicidal effect. The aqueous herbicide composition of the present invention does not show a decrease in herbicidal effect.
[0068] The term "fast-acting herbicidal effect" means that, for example, the herbicidal effect is exerted within several hours to several days after application of the aqueous herbicidal composition of the present invention. In the case of the aqueous herbicidal composition of the present invention, the fast-acting herbicidal effect is exerted by adjusting the type and amount of a specific surfactant, for example, a nonionic surfactant, as the surfactant.
[0069] The term "long-term herbicidal effect" means that, for example, after application of the aqueous herbicidal composition of the present invention, a high herbicidal effect is maintained for 3 weeks or more, preferably 1 month or more.
[0070] The aqueous herbicidal composition of the present invention is a composition that can be directly sprayed on weeds, and has a clear, single-layer appearance. "Clear" refers to a state free of turbidity, crystals, residual matter, impurities, etc.
[0071] The aqueous herbicide composition of the present invention has a viscosity suitable for direct spraying, and therefore is easily discharged from a spray container, with little residue remaining in the container.
[0072] The aqueous herbicide composition of the present invention is a composition having excellent storage stability. In particular, even after the aqueous herbicide composition of the present invention is stored for a certain period of time (for example, 7 days) at a low temperature (for example, 2 to -5°C) such as in a cold region, it does not become turbid, crystallize, separate into layers, or show a significant increase in viscosity.
