[0001] The present invention relates to a wire harness. [Background technology]
[0002] A pair of high power shielded busbars is known as disclosed in Patent Document 1. The pair of high power shielded busbars is made of a rigid solid core extrusion of, for example, aluminum or copper. Each end of the pair of high power shielded busbars is provided with a receiver for electrical connection. In this manner, each end of the pair of high power shielded busbars is held by a receiver that commonly fixes the two sets of busbars. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] Special Publication No. 2023-517714 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] Incidentally, such high-rigidity high-power shielded busbars are bent to fit the wiring path of the vehicle body. However, depending on the shape of the bending process, the processing tolerance may be large. For this reason, when assembling the high-power shielded busbar to the vehicle body, the high-rigidity high-power shielded busbar needs to be aligned with a large force. This raises concerns that the assembly work will be time-consuming and labor-intensive.
[0005] In addition, if a high-rigidity high-power shielded busbar is forcibly aligned to accommodate processing tolerances and then assembled to the vehicle body, a large amount of stress is placed on the receiver of the high-power shielded busbar. This has led to concerns about the durability of the receiver. Furthermore, when the ends of a pair of high-power shielded busbars are held by a single receiver, the processing tolerances of each high-power shielded busbar must be supported by the single receiver. This has led to a large amount of stress being placed on the receiver from the pair of high-power shielded busbars, which has also led to concerns about the durability of the receiver.
[0006] An object of the present disclosure is to provide a wire harness that can improve the ease of assembly. [Means for solving the problem]

[0010] First, the embodiments of the present disclosure will be listed and described. [1] A wire harness disclosed herein includes a first wire unit having a plurality of flexible electric wires extending from a first connector, and a second wire unit having a plurality of solid core electric wires each formed by single-wired each of the plurality of flexible electric wires and each having a second connector at one end, wherein each of the plurality of flexible electric wires is electrically connected by assembling a first connection portion provided at a tip of the plurality of flexible electric wires to a second connection portion provided at the other end of each of the solid core electric wires.
[0011] According to this configuration, since the wire harness has a divided structure of the flexible wire and the solid core wire, when the wire harness is attached to an object, the processing tolerance and manufacturing tolerance of the solid core wire can be absorbed by the flexure of the flexible wire. Therefore, when the wire harness is attached to an object, it is not necessary to position the solid core wire with a large force, and the wire harness can be easily attached. Therefore, the workability of the assembly can be improved.
[0012] [2] In the above [1], the flexible electric wires are twisted wires. According to this configuration, twisted wires that are easy to bend are used as the flexible electric wires, so that it is easy to absorb positional variations when assembling the solid core electric wire to the assembling object. This makes it easier to position the solid core electric wire, which further contributes to improving the workability of the assembling.
[0013] [3] In the above [1] or [2], the first connecting part and the second connecting part are assembled using a structure in which they are fixed by a fastening mechanism. With this configuration, the first connecting part and the second connecting part can be firmly fixed by the fastening mechanism.
[0014] [4] In the above [1] or [2], the first connection part and the second connection part are assembled using a structure in which male and female connectors are fitted together. With this configuration, the first connection part and the second connection part can be connected by the simple task of fitting the connectors together.
[0015] [5] In any one of the above [1] to [4], the wire harness includes a protector that protects the first connection part and the second connection part by housing them therein. With this configuration, it is possible to protect the connection part of the first connection part and the second connection part from damage, adhesion of water droplets, etc.
[0016] [6] In the above [5], the protector has a position adjustment mechanism that absorbs positional variations when the protector is attached to the object. With this configuration, the position adjustment mechanism of the protector can absorb positional variations when the protector is attached to the object. Therefore, the protector can also absorb processing tolerances and manufacturing tolerances of the solid core wire.
[0017] [7] In any one of the above [1] to [6], the diameter of the solid core electric wire is formed to be larger than the diameter of the flexible electric wire. According to this configuration, even if the diameter of the flexible electric wire cannot be increased, it is possible to satisfy a sufficient heat dissipation effect in the wire harness by increasing the diameter of the solid core electric wire.
[0018] [8] In any one of the above [1] to [7], the first connector is a charging inlet connector to which an external charging cable is connected, the first connection portion of the flexible electric wire of the charging inlet connector is connected to the second connection portion of the solid core electric wire, and the second connector of the solid core electric wire is connected to a battery provided to be assembled. With this configuration, it is possible to improve the workability of assembling a wire harness that connects the charging inlet connector and the battery.
[0019] [Details of the embodiment of the present disclosure] Specific examples of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to these examples, but is indicated by the claims, and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope of the claims. In each drawing, for convenience of explanation, some of the configurations may be exaggerated or simplified. In addition, the dimensional ratios of each part may differ from the actual ones.
[0020] (Wire harness 1) As shown in FIG. 1, the wire harness 1 includes a first electric wire unit 4 having a plurality of flexible electric wires 3 extending from a first connector 2, and a second electric wire unit 6 having a plurality of solid core electric wires 5. The wire harness 1 is used, for example, in a vehicle. The first connector 2 provided at one end of the wire harness 1 is, for example, a charging inlet connector to which an external charging cable (not shown) is connected. The other end of the wire harness 1 is electrically connected to a battery (not shown) mounted on the vehicle. In this way, the wire harness 1 is a charging wire harness for a vehicle.
[0021] (First Wire Unit 4) As shown in FIG. 1 , the first electric wire unit 4 has a first connector 2 at one end of the flexible electric wire 3, and a first connection portion 9 at the other end of the flexible electric wire 3. In the present example, the first electric wire unit 4 has two flexible electric wires 3. The first electric wire unit 4 has a total of two first connection portions 9 by providing a first connection portion 9 at the tip of each flexible electric wire 3. A positive voltage is applied to one of the flexible electric wires 3, and a negative voltage is applied to the other of the flexible electric wires 3. The first electric wire unit 4 is, for example, an inlet wire harness to which a charging cable is connected and through which a charging current flows.
[0022] (Flexible wire 3) As shown in Fig. 1, the flexible electric wire 3 is, for example, a twisted wire. The flexible electric wire 3 is made of, for example, copper or aluminum. The flexible electric wire 3 has a property of being easily bendable, and in the case of a twisted wire, it has particularly high flexibility. The flexible electric wire 3 may be either an electric wire in which the surface of the twisted wire is covered with an insulating coating, or an electric wire in which the surface of the twisted wire is not covered with an insulating coating.
[0023] (Second Wire Unit 6) As shown in FIG. 1, the second electric wire unit 6 has a solid core electric wire 5 formed by uniting a plurality of flexible electric wires 3 into a single wire. A plurality of solid core electric wires 5 (two in this example) are provided so as to form a pair with the flexible electric wires 3. A positive voltage is applied to one of the solid core electric wires 5, and a negative voltage is applied to the other of the solid core electric wires 5. That is, in the second electric wire unit 6, the solid core electric wires 5 to which positive and negative voltages are applied are provided separately, so that the two solid core electric wires 5 are unitarily formed. The second electric wire unit 6 is, for example, a rigid wire harness having high rigidity.
[0024] (Solid core wire 5) The solid core electric wire 5 has a second connector 10 at one end and a second connection portion 11 at the other end. The solid core electric wire 5 is, for example, a single-core wire, and specifically, is preferably an aluminum single-core wire. The solid core electric wire 5 is an electric wire having high rigidity. The solid core electric wire 5 is electrically connected to the flexible electric wire 3 via the second connection portion 11. The solid core electric wire 5 is electrically connected to a battery (not shown) via the second connector 10. The solid core electric wire 5 may be, for example, a cylindrical bus bar.
[0025] An example of the second connector 10 is a connector that is connected by male-female fitting. The second connector 10 may be a terminal that is fixed to a mating part by a bolt. In addition, in the case of a male-female fitting connector, the second connector 10 may have a structure that is positioned and fixed to a mating part by a bolt, a screw, or the like.
[0026] (First connection part 9, second connection part 11) 2, the first connecting portion 9 and the second connecting portion 11 may be assembled using, for example, a structure in which they are fixed by a fastening mechanism 13. The fastening mechanism 13 includes, for example, a bolt 14 and a nut 15. Note that the fastening destination of the bolt 14 is not limited to the nut 15, and may be any location to which the threaded portion of the bolt 14 can be screwed.
[0027] 3, the first connecting portion 9 and the second connecting portion 11 may be assembled using, for example, a structure in which male and female connectors (male connector 16 and female connector 17) are fitted together. In this example, for example, the first connecting portion 9 is the male connector 16, and the second connecting portion 11 is the female connector 17.
[0028] (Protector 19) 4(a) and (b), the wire harness 1 includes a protector 19 that protects the first connection portion 9 and the second connection portion 11 by accommodating them therein. The protector 19 in this example positions the wire harness 1 at the connection portion of the first electric wire unit 4 and the second electric wire unit 6 by, for example, being fixed to an assembly target 18.
[0029] The protector 19 has a protector body 20 that houses the first connection portion 9 and the second connection portion 11, and a pair of caps 21 that close openings on both sides of the protector body 20. The caps 21 include a first cap 21a that closes the opening in the protector body 20 through which the flexible electric wire 3 is inserted, and a second cap 21b that closes the opening in the protector body 20 through which the solid core electric wire 5 is inserted. The protector 19 is fixed to the object 18 to be assembled by, for example, a fastening portion 22. The fastening portion 22 is, for example, a bolt or the like.
[0030] The protector 19 includes a position adjustment mechanism 23 that absorbs positional variations when the protector 19 is attached to the attachment object 18. In this manner, when the wire harness 1 is attached to the attachment object 18, the protector 19 absorbs positional variations at the connection portions of the first connection portion 9 and the second connection portion 11, thereby enabling the wire harness 1 to be attached to the attachment object 18.
[0031] The position adjustment mechanism 23 includes, for example, an engagement piece 24 formed on the protector body 20 for engaging the fastening portion 22, and an elongated hole 26 provided on the engagement piece 24 and for inserting the shaft portion 25 of the fastening portion 22. The engagement piece 24 is formed, for example, in a plate shape. The fastening portion 22 is fastened to a fastened portion 27 formed on the assembly object 18. The fastened portion 27 is, for example, a screw hole formed in the assembly object 18. In this way, the protector 19 holds the connection portions of the flexible electric wire 3 and the solid core electric wire 5, and absorbs positional variations when these are assembled to the assembly object 18.
[0032] Next, the operation of the wire harness 1 of the present embodiment will be described. (Wire harness 1 installation procedure) As shown in Fig. 5, in step 101, first, a second electric wire unit 6 is prepared. That is, a pair of solid core electric wires 5 to be mounted on a vehicle body are prepared. The solid core electric wires 5 are formed into a desired bent shape, for example, by previously bending a highly rigid single core wire along a wiring path. As described above, each solid core electric wire 5 is a member formed by bending a highly rigid single core wire, and therefore, at present, each solid core electric wire has a large processing tolerance caused by the bending process.
[0033] In step 102, after the second electric wire unit 6 is prepared, the second connector 10 of the solid core electric wire 5 is connected to a battery (not shown). In step 103, after the solid core electric wire 5 is connected to the second connector 10, the solid core electric wire 5 is fixed to the vehicle body by a clip (not shown). For example, it is preferable to fix the solid core electric wire 5 to the vehicle body by a plurality of clips. In addition, clips of various structures can be used, such as a structure in which a protrusion is inserted into a hole, or a structure in which the solid core electric wire 5 is fixed by a bolt.
[0034] In step 104, the first electric wire unit 4 is fixed to an assembly target 18 (e.g., a vehicle body). The attachment of the first electric wire unit 4 is preferably performed, for example, in a separate process from the attachment of the second electric wire unit 6. Specifically, for example, when the first electric wire unit 4 is to be attached to a vehicle, the first connector 2 of the first electric wire unit 4 is fixed to a power supply port (not shown) of the vehicle body.
[0035] In step 105, after the first electric wire unit 4 and the second electric wire unit 6 are attached, the second connection portion 11 of the solid core electric wire 5 and the first connection portion 9 of the flexible electric wire 3 of the first electric wire unit 4 are connected, and this connection portion is fixed to the assembly object 18 (e.g., a vehicle body) via the protector 19. In this example, the protector 19 is fixed to the assembly object 18 by the fastening portion 22. At this time, since the fastening portion 22 is inserted into the long hole 26 of the protector 19, when the solid core electric wire 5 is fixed to the assembly object 18, the processing tolerance of the bending process of the solid core electric wire 5 is absorbed by adjusting the position of the fastening portion 22 in the long hole 26. In addition, the manufacturing tolerance of the solid core electric wire 5 is also absorbed.
[0036] (Advantages of Wire Harness 1) As shown in Fig. 1 etc., the wire harness 1 of this embodiment is divided into a flexible electric wire 3 and a solid core electric wire 5. Therefore, the flexible electric wire 3 can absorb the variation in bending of the solid core electric wire 5 during assembly. This eliminates the need to forcibly align the high-rigidity solid core electric wire 5 to a target position with a large force, improving the workability of assembling the wire harness 1. In particular, when the flexible electric wire 3 is a stranded wire, the flexible electric wire 3 is easy to bend, so that it is possible to effectively absorb the variation in bending.
[0037] Moreover, since each of the solid core electric wires 5 is made into a single wire (single pole), it is possible to individually absorb the variation in bending process that occurs in each of them, which also contributes to improving the workability of assembling the wire harness 1. Moreover, since a single connector structure in which the multiple solid core electric wires 5 are gathered together in one connector member and electrically connected to the vehicle body is not used, the stress of each solid core electric wire 5 is not concentrated in a single connector.
[0038] Furthermore, the wire harness 1 includes a protector 19 that protects the connection portion between the first connection portion 9 and the second connection portion 11. In particular, the protector 19 of this example has a structure in which the shaft portion 25 of the fastening portion 22 that fixes the protector 19 to the assembly object 18 is inserted into the long hole 26, thereby absorbing positional variation when the protector 19 is fixed to the assembly object 18. Therefore, even if there is variation in bending of the solid core electric wire 5, this variation can be absorbed by adjusting the mounting position of the protector 19. This further contributes to improving the ease of assembly.
[0039] In addition, the processing tolerance due to bending of the solid core electric wire 5 can be absorbed by aligning the protector 19. Therefore, the solid core electric wire 5 is not fixed to the assembly object 18 in a state where excessive force is applied. Therefore, excessive stress is not applied from the solid core electric wire 5 to the protector 19, so there is little concern about the durability of the protector 19.
[0040] 4(a), it is preferable that the diameter Wb of the solid core electric wire 5 is larger than the diameter Wa of the flexible electric wire 3. This is because, for example, when considering the heat dissipation of the wire harness 1, even if the diameter Wa of the flexible electric wire 3 cannot be increased, the diameter Wb of the solid core electric wire 5 is increased to ensure a necessary amount of heat dissipation.
[0041] (Combination of the first electric wire unit 4 and the second electric wire unit 6) As shown in Fig. 6, the first electric wire unit 4 and the second electric wire unit 6 can be freely combined. Meanwhile, the shape of the first connector 2 varies depending on the specifications of the shipping destination. In the case of this example, for example, it is assumed that there are a first electric wire unit 4a having a first connector 2 of specification A, a first electric wire unit 4b having a first connector 2 of specification B, and a first electric wire unit 4c having a first connector 2 of specification C.
[0042] Also, there are a plurality of second electric wire units 6, for example, according to the type of vehicle to which the assembly is to be performed 18. In this example, there are, for example, second electric wire units 6a, 6b, and 6c, according to the type of vehicle. In this case, it is possible to freely combine one of the three types of first electric wire units 4 with one of the three types of second electric wire units 6. This makes it possible to keep manufacturing costs low, compared to the case of manufacturing wire harness types for each specification.
[0043] (Effects of the embodiment) According to the configuration of the above embodiment, the following effects can be obtained. (1) The wire harness 1 includes a first electric wire unit 4 in which a plurality of flexible electric wires 3 extend from a first connector 2, and a second electric wire unit 6 having a plurality of solid core electric wires 5 each formed by uniting the plurality of flexible electric wires 3 into a single wire and each having a second connector 10 at one end. Each of the plurality of flexible electric wires 3 is electrically connected by assembling a first connection portion 9 provided at the tip of the plurality of flexible electric wires 3 to a second connection portion 11 provided at the other end of each of the solid core electric wires 5.
[0044] According to this configuration, since the wire harness 1 has a divided structure of the flexible electric wire 3 and the solid core electric wire 5, when the wire harness 1 is assembled to the assembly object 18, the processing tolerance and manufacturing tolerance of the solid core electric wire 5 can be absorbed by the bending of the flexible electric wire 3. Therefore, when the wire harness 1 is assembled to the assembly object 18, it is not necessary to position the solid core electric wire 5 with a large force, and the wire harness 1 can be assembled easily. This improves the workability of assembly.
[0045] (2) The multiple flexible electric wires 3 are twisted wires. With this configuration, twisted wires that are easily flexible are used as the flexible electric wires 3, which makes it easier to absorb positional variations when assembling the solid core electric wire 5 to the object 18 to be assembled. This makes it even easier to position the solid core electric wire 5. This further contributes to improving the workability of the assembly.
[0046] (3) The first connecting portion 9 and the second connecting portion 11 are assembled using a structure in which they are fixed by the fastening mechanism 13. According to this configuration, the first connecting portion 9 and the second connecting portion 11 can be firmly fixed by the fastening mechanism 13.
[0047] (4) A structure in which male and female connectors (male connector 16, female connector 17) are fitted together is used to assemble the first connection portion 9 and the second connection portion 11. With this configuration, the first connection portion 9 and the second connection portion 11 can be connected together by the simple task of fitting the connectors together.
[0048] (5) The wire harness 1 includes the protector 19 that houses and protects the first connection portion 9 and the second connection portion 11. With this configuration, the connection portion between the first connection portion 9 and the second connection portion 11 can be protected from damage, adhesion of water droplets, and the like.
[0049] (6) Protector 19 has position adjustment mechanism 23 that absorbs positional variation when protector 19 is attached to object 18. According to this configuration, position adjustment mechanism 23 of protector 19 can absorb positional variation when protector 19 is attached to object 18. Therefore, processing tolerances, manufacturing tolerances, etc. of solid core wire 5 can also be absorbed by protector 19.
[0050] (7) The diameter Wb of the solid core electric wire 5 is larger than the diameter Wa of the flexible electric wire 3. According to this configuration, even if the diameter of the flexible electric wire 3 cannot be increased, the diameter of the solid core electric wire 5 can be increased to provide a sufficient heat dissipation effect in the wire harness 1.
[0051] (8) The first connector 2 is a charging inlet connector to which an external charging cable is connected. A first connection portion 9 of the flexible electric wire 3 of the charging inlet connector is connected to a second connection portion 11 of the solid core electric wire 5. The second connector 10 of the solid core electric wire 5 is connected to a battery provided in an assembly target 18. This configuration can improve the ease of assembly of the wire harness 1 that connects the charging inlet connector and the battery.
[0052] (9) When the wire harness 1 is divided, it is possible to expect improvement in productivity, improvement in packaging, and improvement in transportation efficiency compared to when the wire harness 1 is integrated. (Other embodiments) This embodiment can be modified as follows: This embodiment and the following modifications can be combined with each other to the extent that no technical contradiction occurs.
[0053] The number of the flexible electric wires 3 extending from the first connector 2 is not limited to two, and may be three or more. In this case, the second electric wire unit 6 has the same number of solid core electric wires 5 as the flexible electric wires 3.
[0054] The first connector 2 may be changed to something other than a charging inlet connector. The first electric wire unit 4 is not limited to a charging inlet wire harness, but may be anything that can be electrically connected to the second electric wire unit 6.
[0055] The flexible electric wire 3 is not limited to a twisted wire, but may be any electric wire having high flexibility. The first connector 2 and the second connector 10 may be of various shapes, such as a rectangular connector, a circular connector, or a stepped connector.
[0056] The second electric wire unit 6 is not limited to a rigid wire harness, but may be any high-rigidity wire harness. The solid-core electric wire 5 may be any electric wire having high rigidity, such as the single-core wire or bus bar described above.
[0057] The first connection portion 9 and the second connection portion 11 may be connected by, for example, welding or crimping. The flexible wire 3 and the solid core wire 5 may have the same diameter.
[0058] The position adjustment mechanism 23 is not limited to a structure in which the hole through which the shaft portion 25 of the fastening portion 22 passes is the elongated hole 26. For example, the position of the protector 19 may be optimized by providing a protrusion on the protector 19 and providing a plurality of engagement holes on the object 18 to be assembled, and engaging the protrusion with the one of the plurality of engagement holes that is most aligned.
[0059] The protector 19 may be fixed to the object 18 with, for example, tape. In this case, it is possible to provide a degree of freedom in the mounting position of the protector 19, so that even with this structure, the processing tolerances and manufacturing tolerances of the solid core electric wire 5 can be absorbed.
[0060] The protector 19 may be omitted from the wire harness 1. In this case, the processing tolerance and manufacturing tolerance of the solid core wire 5 can be absorbed by the bending of the flexible wire 3. The wire harness 1 may be used in devices other than vehicles.
[0061] Although the present disclosure has been described with reference to the embodiment, it is understood that the present disclosure is not limited to the embodiment or structure. The present disclosure also includes various modifications and modifications within the scope of equivalents. In addition, various combinations and forms, as well as other combinations and forms including only one element, more than one element, or less than one element, are also within the scope and concept of the present disclosure.
