Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to an antibacterial and anticorrosive agent. [Background technology]

[0002] Conventionally, hydraulic tests are conducted on various equipment such as metal tanks and pressure vessels to detect the presence of leaks based on the presence or absence of changes in hydraulic pressure. In this hydraulic test, hydraulic water is injected into the equipment. Meanwhile, in order to prevent rusting in the equipment during or after the test, a rust inhibitor is usually added to the hydraulic water. Nitrites, phosphates, carboxylates, etc. are often used as rust inhibitors, but these rust inhibitors have insufficient rust prevention effects, and the proliferation of bacteria or microorganisms has been confirmed over time after the test, which has become a problem.

[0003] On the other hand, when metal processing such as cutting, grinding, and rolling is performed on a metal workpiece, processing oil is used to cool the workpiece and provide lubrication to metal processing tools. Processing oils are known to be oil-based or water-soluble, but water-soluble processing oils are often used from the viewpoint of cooling properties and safety. Water-soluble processing oils are circulated by a pump during metal processing.

[0004] The water-soluble machining oil is usually used after being diluted 10 to 100 times with water. This dilution is generally called coolant. In addition to improving processability, this coolant is required to be rust-resistant, non-toxic, and not emit a foul odor, and is also required to have antibacterial properties to prevent the coolant from spoiling and the circulation line from clogging when the coolant is recycled.

[0005] As rust inhibitors for the above-mentioned applications, in addition to the above-mentioned nitrites, phosphates, carboxylates, etc., for example, Patent Document 1 describes amine compounds such as dicyclohexylamine. Patent Document 2 describes N-butyl-1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one. Patent Document 3 describes N,N,N,N-tetraalkyldiamine compounds. Also, tetramethylpropanediamine (TMPDA), tetramethylhexamethylenediamine (TMHDA), etc. are known as commercially available products. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0007] However, the above-mentioned conventional rust inhibitors have problems such as being highly toxic; having a high pH, which discolors equipment made of aluminum or copper and leaches out metal components; having poor water solubility; not having sufficient antibacterial properties and allowing bacterial growth; not being able to obtain a sufficient rust prevention effect; and deteriorating workability due to the evaporation of odorous components.

[0008] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an antibacterial and rust inhibitor, and an antibacterial and rust inhibitor composition, which are low in toxicity, inhibit discoloration of metal equipment, have sufficient water solubility, antibacterial and rust inhibitory effects, and can prevent deterioration of workability due to odorous components. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0014] Hereinafter, the embodiments of the present invention will be described in further detail. The antibacterial and anticorrosive agent of the present invention is characterized in that it contains octyldiethanolamine as an active ingredient.

[0015] The antibacterial and anti-rust agent of the present invention can be used as an aqueous antibacterial and anti-rust agent. The antibacterial and anti-rust agent of the present invention can be in a form containing octyldiethanolamine and water. On the other hand, it is known that the solubility of octyldiethanolamine in water (20°C) is very low, 1.4g / L. However, according to the study by the present inventors, by using an alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms or an alkylamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and a methoxy group, or by further using a specific dicarboxylic acid in combination, these various components function as an emulsifier, and the water solubility of the active ingredient octyldiethanolamine can be improved, and the agent can be sufficiently used as an aqueous antibacterial and anti-rust agent with an increased concentration of octyldiethanolamine. In one embodiment, the antibacterial and antirust composition of the present invention comprises octyldiethanolamine and an alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and an emulsifying function, or an alkylamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and a methoxy group, or further comprises a dicarboxylic acid represented by the following formula (1). Furthermore, even if an alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms, an alkylamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and a methoxy group, or a dicarboxylic acid represented by the following formula (1) is used in combination with the active ingredient octyldiethanolamine, the antibacterial and antirust effects are not reduced, the compound exhibits sufficient water solubility, is non-toxic, and prevents discoloration of metal equipment and deterioration of workability due to odorous components.

[0016] Examples of alkanolamines having 6 or less carbon atoms used in the present invention include monoethanolamine, monoisopropanolamine, diethylethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, methylisopropanolamine, dimethylisopropanolamine, diethylisopropanolamine, propanolamine, triethanolamine, etc. Among these, from the viewpoints of improving the water solubility of octyldiethanolamine, having low toxicity, and improving the effects of the present invention, triethanolamine, methylisopropanolamine, dimethylisopropanolamine, and diethylisopropanolamine are preferred, and triethanolamine is particularly preferred. As the alkylamine having a methoxy group and a carbon number of 6 or less used in the present invention, 3-methoxypropylamine is particularly preferred.

[0017] The dicarboxylic acid used in the present invention can be represented by the following formula (1): The dicarboxylic acid represented by the following formula (1) acts as an emulsifier and can further increase the water solubility or dispersibility of octyldiethanolamine.

[0018] [ka]

[0019] (In formula (1), R1 represents an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms.)

(B) Contains octyldiethanolamine, an alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and an emulsifying function or an alkylamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and a methoxy group, and a dicarboxylic acid represented by the formula (1) above, with the remainder being water. (C) Contains octyldiethanolamine and water. Incidentally, the phrase "the balance is water" does not preclude the addition of appropriate amounts of various known additives as required. First, the above-mentioned forms (A) and (B) will be described.

[0022] In the above-mentioned form (A), when the total amount of the composition is taken as 100% by mass, the blending amount of the active ingredient octyldiethanolamine is, for example, 0.1 to 10% by mass, preferably 1 to 10% by mass, and more preferably 3 to 10% by mass.

[0023] In the above-mentioned form (A), when the total amount of the composition is taken as 100 mass%, the blending amount of the alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms or the alkylamine having a methoxy group and having 6 or less carbon atoms is, for example, 0.1 to 60 mass%, preferably 1 to 50 mass%, and more preferably 1 to 40 mass%.

[0024] In the above-mentioned form (A), the blending ratio (mass ratio) of the amount of the octyldiethanolamine to the alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and having an emulsifying function, or the alkylamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and having a methoxy group, is preferably 1:0.1 to 30, and more preferably 1:0.1 to 25, as the former:latter (amount of the octyldiethanolamine:the alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and having an emulsifying function, or the alkylamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and having a methoxy group). The preferred range of the blending ratio varies depending on the type of compound used. For example, when the alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms is triethanolamine, the blending ratio is particularly preferably 1:0.1 to 30. When the alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms is dimethylisopropanolamine, the blending ratio is particularly preferably 1:0.1 to 25.

[0025] In the above form (B), when the total amount of the composition is taken as 100% by mass, the amount of octyldiethanolamine as an active ingredient is, for example, 0.1 to 10% by mass, preferably 1 to 10% by mass, and more preferably 3 to 10% by mass.

[0026] In the above embodiment (B), when the total amount of the composition is taken as 100 mass%, the blending amount of the alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms is, for example, 1 to 60 mass%, preferably 1 to 50 mass%, and more preferably 1 to 40 mass%.

[0027] In the form (B), when the total amount of the composition is taken as 100 mass%, the blending amount of the dicarboxylic acid represented by the formula (1) is, for example, 1 to 30 mass%, preferably 1 to 25 mass%, and more preferably 5 to 25 mass%.

[0028] In the form (B), the blending ratio (mass ratio) of the amount of the octyldiethanolamine to the alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and having an emulsifying function, or the alkylamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and having a methoxy group, is preferably 1:0.1 to 30, and more preferably 1:0.1 to 25, as the former:latter (amount of the octyldiethanolamine:the alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and having an emulsifying function, or the alkylamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and having a methoxy group).

[0029] In the antibacterial and antirust agent composition of the present invention, from the viewpoint of improving the effects of the present invention, the pH at 25° C. is, for example, 8 to 11, preferably 8 to 10, and more preferably 8 to 9. The pH can be adjusted by adjusting the blending amount of the dicarboxylic acid represented by the formula (1) and / or the alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms.

Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals Category 1-3 (with or without skull symbol): Not applicable Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Law (Law No. 303 of 1950) Not applicable ·PRTR Not applicable

[0031] The antibacterial and antirust agent and antibacterial and antirust composition of the present invention are low in toxicity, inhibit discoloration of metallic equipment, have sufficient water solubility, antibacterial and antirust effects, and can prevent deterioration of workability due to odorous components, and are therefore particularly useful in applications such as the above-mentioned hydraulic fluid for hydraulic testing of metallic tanks, pressure vessels, etc., water-soluble metalworking oils, and coolants containing the water-soluble metalworking oils and a diluent.

[0032] The water-soluble metalworking oil contains the antibacterial and anti-rust composition of the present invention, and the blending ratio of each component is the same as that of the form (A) or (B). The coolant is a dilution of the water-soluble metalworking oil with water. Water is usually used as the diluent. The dilution ratio is usually 1.5 to 100 times, preferably 2 to 70 times, more preferably 5 to 50 times, and more preferably 10 to 50 times. The coolant may contain known additives, such as surfactants, base oils, extreme pressure additives, antifoaming agents, metal corrosion inhibitors, etc., in appropriate amounts, as necessary. The concentration of the octyldiethanolamine in the coolant is preferably 0.01% by mass or more and 20% by mass or less, more preferably 0.01% by mass or more and 5% by mass or less. Examples of the material to be processed include iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, etc., but may also include non-ferrous metals and alloys thereof, such as nickel, nickel alloys, titanium, titanium alloys, aluminum, aluminum alloys, magnesium, magnesium alloys, copper, and copper alloys. In addition, the shape of the material to be processed is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include a rod shape and a block shape. The water-soluble metalworking oil or coolant of the present invention is non-toxic and prevents deterioration of workability due to odorous components, and therefore has excellent workability.

[0033] The present invention also provides an inkjet ink containing the antibacterial and antirust composition of the present invention. [0034] In the inkjet ink of the present invention, the content of octyldiethanolamine as an active ingredient is, for example, 0.01 to 10% by mass, and preferably 0.01 to 5% by mass. When the inkjet ink of the present invention contains an alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms or an alkylamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and a methoxy group, the content thereof in the inkjet ink is, for example, 0.01 to 20% by mass, and preferably 0.01 to 10% by mass.

[0035] The ink-jet ink of the present invention is preferably a water-based ink-jet ink as described above, and the ink composition is not particularly limited, and any ink known in the art can be used. In addition, surfactants, various resin particles, inorganic oxide particles, various organic solvents such as alcohols, polyols, and glycol ethers, and other various additives can be appropriately selected from known materials and used.

[0036] The present invention also provides a cleaning solution for dental treatment instruments containing the antibacterial and anti-rust agent or antibacterial and anti-rust agent composition of the present invention. Conventionally, chlorine-based cleaning solutions such as benzalkonium chloride and cetylpyridinium chloride have been used as cleaning solutions for dental treatment instruments, and dental treatment instruments have been immersed in the cleaning solution to perform cleaning treatment. However, the use of chlorine-based cleaning solutions has the problem that rust occurs on dental treatment instruments, and in order to use dental treatment instruments after cleaning, rust removal may be performed in a separate process. However, the cleaning solution for dental treatment instruments of the present invention has antibacterial and anti-rust effects, and therefore it is possible to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems.

[0037] The dental treatment instruments in the present invention are not particularly limited, and examples thereof include small dental treatment instruments, specifically, conventionally known instruments such as mirrors, probes, tweezers, tooth extraction forceps, air turbine handpieces, contra-angle handpieces, scalers, probes, impression trays, etc. Furthermore, the material of the dental treatment instruments is preferably metal, and specific examples of the metal include aluminum, copper, stainless steel, etc.

[0038] The cleaning method using the cleaning solution for dental treatment instruments of the present invention includes, for example, ultrasonic cleaning, immersion cleaning, etc. Various conditions in the cleaning method may be those in accordance with the conventional techniques.

[0039] The cleaning solution for dental treatment instruments of the present invention preferably contains the composition of the above form (C) or (A). The content of octyldiethanolamine as an active ingredient in the dental treatment instrument cleaning solution of the present invention may be appropriately determined depending on the cleaning method, but in the case of ultrasonic cleaning, it is, for example, 0.001 to 10 mass%, preferably 0.001 to 3 mass%. In the case of immersion, it is, for example, 0.001 to 15 mass%, preferably 0.001 to 10 mass%. In addition, when the dental treatment instrument cleaning solution of the present invention contains an alkanolamine having 6 or less carbon atoms or an alkylamine having 6 or less carbon atoms and a methoxy group, the content of these in the dental treatment instrument cleaning solution is, for example, 0.001 to 30 mass%, preferably 0.001 to 20 mass%. EXAMPLES

[0040] The present invention will be specifically described below with reference to examples, but the present invention is not limited to these.

[0041] Various compositions were prepared using the blending amounts (mass %) of various components shown in Tables 1 to 8 below.

[0049] [Table 8]

[0050] Rust prevention test (iron) In a laboratory environment of 40°C and 95% RH, an appropriate amount of the composition was brushed onto the surface of a flat SS400 iron plate (size: length 150 mm, width 70 mm, thickness 2 mm), and after leaving it to stand for 48 hours, the surface of the iron plate was visually observed and evaluated according to the following evaluation criteria. Note that the compositions of Example 18 and Comparative Example 21 were diluted 30 times with water and subjected to the above-mentioned rust prevention test (see Table 9 below for the results), and the iron plate before and after the test were photographed (Figure 1). ○: No rust. △: Some rust has occurred. ×: Rust occurs all over the surface.

[0051] [Table 9]

[0052] Antibacterial Testing The putrefactive fluid containing fungi such as taphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Escherichia coli, and molds such as Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus brasiliensis, and Penicillium citrinum, was 1.0 x 10 6 -10 8 The bacteria were cultured to a concentration of about 100% and then diluted 50-fold with saline. This was used as the bacterial solution for the following tests.

[0053] (1) Mixing test (Based on the bacterial liquid absorption method of JIS L 1902, the test specimen was made into a liquid and a qualitative evaluation of the antibacterial properties was performed.) The bacterial liquid absorption method is originally a quantitative evaluation method for examining bactericidal activity, characterized by a value greater than 0. It is a method for quantitatively evaluating bactericidal activity by observing the number of bacteria generated. Here, however, it is used as a method for qualitatively evaluating the degree of bactericidal activity, which is divided into three stages. 1 g of the test solution diluted to 3% with water was mixed with 1 g of the bacterial solution, which was then spread on an agar plate and the surface was visually observed after 48 hours at 40°C. ○: No colony growth or less than 5 colonies. △: 5 to 20 colonies formed. ×: 20 or more colonies formed. (2) Coating test (Based on the transfer method of JIS L 1902, the test specimen was made into a liquid and a qualitative evaluation of the antibacterial properties was performed.) The transfer method is originally a quantitative evaluation method for examining the inhibitory concentration, but here, the degree of growth inhibition was evaluated qualitatively, with cases where colonies grew all over the surface being rated as ineffective (×), cases where growth was inhibited to a certain extent (△), and cases where growth was inhibited almost completely (◯). 1 g of the test liquid diluted with water to 3% was mixed into an agar medium, 1 g of the bacteria was spread onto an agar plate, and the surface was visually observed after 48 hours at 40°C. ○: No colony growth or less than 5 colonies. △: 5 to 20 colonies formed. ×: 20 or more colonies formed. (3) Contact test (Based on the bacterial transfer method of JIS L 1902, the test specimen was made into a liquid and a qualitative evaluation of the antibacterial properties was performed.) The bacterial transfer method is originally a quantitative method for measuring the reduction in bacteria, but here, when the number of colonies reaches 20 or more, it can be observed that the colonies have spread over the entire surface, and a method for qualitative evaluation is used in which a certain degree of bacterial reduction is considered to be moderate, and a significant reduction is considered to have antibacterial properties. 1 g of the bacterial liquid was mixed into the agar medium, and the bacteria were cultivated. Then, 1 g of the test liquid was diluted to 3% and spread onto an agar plate. After 48 hours at 40°C, the reduction in bacteria on the surface of the agar medium in the dish was visually observed. ○: The number of bacteria (colonies) has decreased to 5 or less. △: Somewhat reduced number of bacteria (colonies), with 5 to 20 colonies formed. ×: 20 or more colonies formed, no decrease in bacteria (colonies). (4) Antibacterial test (JIS L 1902 halo test was used as a reference, and the test specimen was made into a liquid, and a qualitative evaluation of the antibacterial properties was performed.) The halo test used here is a method for qualitatively evaluating the susceptibility and resistance to antibacterial substances, and the efficacy of antibacterial substances, based on the size of the growth inhibition zone (halo) of microorganisms. 1 g of the bacterial liquid was mixed into an agar medium and allowed to grow, then 1 g of the test liquid diluted to 3% was dropped onto the plate. After 48 hours at 40°C, the width of the halo that had formed around the center of the dish was measured to determine whether or not a halo had formed. The test samples were the compositions of Example 18, Comparative Example 23, and Comparative Example 24. The antibacterial test results are shown in Table 10 below and in the photograph (Figure 2).

[0054] [Table 10]

[0055] In the examples other than those shown above, the mixing test, application test, contact test and antibacterial test were all rated as ◯. In the antibacterial test of the comparative examples, except for Comparative Example 22 using N500, all the mixing test, application test and contact test were rated as ×, and in the antibacterial test, the halo circle was 1 cm or less in width.

[0056] Toxicity assessment The obtained compositions were examined to see whether they met the criteria for the Skull Mark, the Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Law, and the PRTR. Those that met the criteria were rated as ◯ for 0 to 1 item, △ for 2 items, and × for more than 1 item.

[0057] Water solubility evaluation 1. The test liquid was left to stand at room temperature for 72 hours and visually observed to be transparent with no separation. 2. The test liquid was diluted 10 times with water and left to stand at room temperature for 72 hours. The liquid was then visually inspected to see that it was transparent and had no separation. If both items 1 and 2 above were transparent, they were marked with a circle, and if both were opaque, they were marked with an ×.

[0058] Non-ferrous rust prevention test (metal discoloration) Test pieces of flat copper plate C1100P, brass plate C2801P, or aluminum plate A1050P were prepared (size: length 50 mm, width 30 mm, thickness 0.8 mm). Separately, 100 ml of each composition was poured into a 100 ml plastic bag, and the above-mentioned test pieces were placed therein, and the bag was covered and left at room temperature for 24 hours. The test pieces were then taken out and the surface condition was visually confirmed. Evaluation was performed according to the following evaluation criteria. ○: No discoloration. △: Some discoloration has occurred. ×: Discoloration occurs over the entire surface. The following Table 11 shows the specific results for the compositions of Example 18, Comparative Example 2, and Comparative Example 21. Also, Fig. 3 shows photographs of Example 18, Comparative Example 2, and Comparative Example 21 before and after the rust prevention test.

[0059] [Table 11]

[0060] Furthermore, the pH of each composition was measured according to a known method, and the odor was evaluated after diluting the composition 10 times with water.

[0061] The results are shown in the tables above.

[0062] It can be seen that the compositions in the examples of the present invention are low in toxicity, inhibit discoloration of metal equipment, have sufficient water solubility, antibacterial and antirust effects, and can prevent deterioration of workability due to odorous components.

[0063] (Inkjet ink) Various inkjet inks were prepared with the blending amounts (parts by mass) of various components shown in Table 12 below. The pH of each inkjet ink was also measured. The pH here refers to the pH of the ink excluding carbon black.

[0064] [Table 12]

[0065] The above-mentioned antibacterial test was carried out for each of the inkjet inks obtained, and the results are shown in Table 13 below.

[0066] [Table 13]

[0067] (Cleaning solution for dental treatment instruments) Various cleaning solutions for dental treatment instruments were prepared using the blending amounts (parts by mass) of various components shown in Table 14 below.

[0068] [Table 14]

[0069] The antibacterial properties of the obtained cleaning solutions for various dental treatment instruments were examined by carrying out the antibacterial test described above in (4). The halo test used here is a method for qualitatively evaluating the susceptibility and resistance to antibacterial substances, and the efficacy of antibacterial substances, based on the size of the growth inhibition zone (halo) of microorganisms. 1 g of the bacterial liquid was mixed and propagated in an agar medium, and 50 μl of the cleaning solution was dropped either directly or after diluting 10 times with water. The results are shown in Table 15 and Figure 4 below. From the results in Table 15 and Figure 4, the cleaning solution of the present invention showed excellent antibacterial properties whether directly or diluted 10 times. On the other hand, the conventional product showed no antibacterial properties when diluted 10 times.

[0070] [Table 15]

[0071] Next, a rust prevention test was carried out on each of the obtained cleaning solutions for dental treatment instruments. Test pieces of aluminum, copper, brass, SUS304, SUS316, and SUS430 were prepared, and the surfaces were acid-washed and rinsed with water. They were then immersed in the cleaning solutions shown in Table 14 above at room temperature for 1 hour, rinsed with water, dried, and left for 1 hour, and the surface condition of each test piece was visually inspected. Note that all cleaning solutions were diluted 10 times with water. The results are shown in Table 16 below.

[0072] [Table 16]

[0073] The results in Table 16 show that the cleaning solution of the present invention exhibited excellent rust prevention effects on all metals.
