Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a tire mounting / removal device for mounting a wide-width low-profile tire or an ultra-low-profile tire used as a single tire for the rear wheel of a large truck onto or off of a wheel. [Background technology]
[0002] In recent years, ultra-flat tires with a wheel rim diameter of 17.5 to 22.5 inches, a tire section width of 445 mm or 455 mm, and a tire diameter of 1100 mm are sometimes used as single tires for the rear wheels of large trucks. Such wide-width ultra-flat tires have not been used in the past, so the tires targeted by the tire mounting and dismounting device of the prior art are low-profile tires or ultra-flat tires that have the same tire diameter as such wide-width ultra-flat tires but have a tire section width of 315 mm or less. Such a tire mounting and dismounting device of the prior art is described, for example, in Patent Document 1.
[0003] The tire mounting / removal device of Patent Document 1 includes a rotation drive means, a support means, a guide press roller, a bead roller, a lifting means, a memory unit, a first input unit, a second input unit, a readout unit, and a control means. The control means is configured to move the guide press roller to a first pushing position corresponding to either the flat tire mode or the hump crossing mode selected by the second input unit, and to move the bead roller to a second pushing position. When the light point matching mode is selected by the second input unit, the control means is configured to rotate the gripping unit by the rotation drive means, and to raise the support means by the lifting means to a position where only the tire stops relative to the rotating wheel. [0004] [Patent Document 1] Patent No. 6203770 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] The tire mounting / removal device of Patent Document 1 is unable to mount a wide-width low-profile tire or ultra-low-profile tire with a tire cross-sectional width of 445 mm or 455 mm on a wheel because the tire pushing amount and pushing force are insufficient. It is also unable to separate a low-profile tire or ultra-low-profile tire from a wheel because the tire pushing amount and pushing force are insufficient. Therefore, there is a demand for a tire mounting / removal device that can easily mount and remove a wide-width tire, even if the tire cross-sectional width exceeds 315 mm for an automobile, from a wheel.
[0006] In recent years, tires with tire pressure measuring devices (TPMS) attached to the wheels may be used. In such tires with tire pressure measuring devices, the pressure measuring device for measuring the tire pressure is wrapped around the wheel by a wire or a belt or other cable and housed in the space between the tire and the wheel. When a tire with a tire pressure measuring device is replaced using the tire mounting / removal device of Patent Document 1, the bead of the tire comes into contact with the tire pressure measuring device wrapped around the wheel with a large force, damaging the tire pressure measuring device, both when the tire is removed from the wheel and when the tire is mounted on the wheel. This causes a problem that the tire mounting / removal device of Patent Document 1 cannot be used to replace a tire with a tire pressure measuring device in automatic mode.
[0007] Furthermore, the tire mounting / removal device of Patent Document 1 does not have a valve avoidance function for smoothly removing the tire from the wheel without interfering with the valve that protrudes from the outer circumferential surface of the wheel, so there is a problem that the tire gets caught on the valve when removing the tire, making it impossible to perform tire replacement work in automatic mode.
[0008] Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a tire mounting / removal device that can easily mount and remove even wide low-profile tires or ultra-low-profile tires from wheels. Another object of the present invention is to provide a tire mounting / removal device that can smoothly mount and remove tires even if the tire is equipped with a tire pressure gauge. Still another object of the present invention is to provide a tire mounting / removal device that can smoothly mount and remove tires without getting caught on the valves provided on the wheels. [Means for solving the problem]
[0009] The present invention relates to a wheel chuck having a gripping portion for detachably gripping a wheel on which a tire having a tire section width exceeding 315 mm can be mounted, and a rotation drive portion for rotating the gripping portion about a horizontal rotation axis; a lifting means for lifting and lowering the tire stand with the tire mounted thereon; a guide press roller capable of pressing the first bead portion of the tire toward the second bead portion; a pair of bead rollers, either one of which can press either the first bead portion or the second bead portion; A storage unit that stores tire information that individually represents a plurality of types of tires having at least different tire diameters and tire section widths, wheel information that individually represents a plurality of types of wheels having at least different rim section widths and rim diameters, first pushing position information that individually represents a first pushing position of the guide press roller corresponding to the plurality of types of tires, and second pushing position information that individually represents a second pushing position of the pair of bead rollers corresponding to the plurality of types of tires, associated with the tire information; a first input unit for selecting one of a mounting mode for mounting the tire on the wheel and a removal mode for removing the tire from the wheel; A second input section for selecting a rim diameter and a rim section width of the wheel; a third input unit for selecting one of the valve avoidance mode and the light point alignment mode; a rotation amount detection unit provided in the rotation drive unit and detecting an amount of rotation of the grip unit about the rotation axis; a control unit that reads out the tire information, first pushing position information, and second pushing position information stored in the memory unit in response to information selected by the first input unit, the second input unit, and the third input unit, and operates the chuck means, the lifting means, the guide press roller, and the bead roller.
[0010] The present invention further includes an intrusion detection means that is provided to define a detection area facing the lifting means and the gripping portion from one side, and outputs a detection signal when an object intrudes into the detection area, The control unit is configured to stop at least the rotational operation of the rotation drive unit and the lifting and lowering operation of the tire stand in response to a detection signal from the intrusion detection means.
[0011] In addition, the present invention further includes a display unit capable of displaying image information, The control unit is characterized in that, in response to information selected by the first input unit, the second input unit, and the third input unit, it causes the display unit to display image information indicating the content of the work to be performed.
[0012] The present invention is also characterized in that it further includes a plate-shaped tire guide member that is arranged on the tire stand, inclines downward from the intersection between the upper surface and one side of the tire stand located at the lower limit as it moves away from the intersection, and has a tip that is supported on the floor surface.
[0013] In the invention, the control unit moves the pair of bead rollers in the axial direction of the bead rollers in response to the rim diameter and rim cross-sectional width selected by the second input unit.
[0014] The present invention is also characterized in that it further includes a pushing device disposed on the lifting means and pushing the tire placed on the tire stand in a direction in which the tire rotates and moves outward from the tire stand. Effect of the Invention
[0015] According to the present invention, the first input unit selects either the mounting mode or the removal mode. The second input unit inputs the rim diameter and the rim section width of the wheel. The third input unit sets either the valve avoidance mode or the light point alignment mode. In response to the information selected by the first input unit, the second input unit, and the third input unit, the control unit reads out the corresponding tire information, the first pushing position information, and the second pushing position information from the storage unit, and operates the chuck means, the lifting means, the guide press roller, and the bead roller. Therefore, even if the tire has a wide tire whose tire section width exceeds a predetermined value, for example, 315 mm, the control unit executes appropriate operation control corresponding to the corresponding tire from the tire information stored in the storage unit, and causes the guide press roller and the pair of bead rollers to execute the operation selected by the first input unit, the second input unit, and the third input unit, so that the tire can be easily mounted on the wheel and removed from the wheel. When the valve avoidance mode is set by the third input unit, the control unit controls the chuck means, lifting means, guide press roller, and bead roller to operate so that the tire does not get caught on the valve, thereby allowing the tire to be attached and detached smoothly.
[0016] In addition, according to the present invention, the tire mounting / removing device includes an intrusion detection means, and the control unit stops at least the rotational operation of the rotation drive unit and the lifting and lowering operation of the tire stand in response to a detection signal from the intrusion detection means. Therefore, even if a worker accidentally enters the detection area during work, the rotation of the gripping unit, which is rotationally driven by the rotation drive unit, and the tire and wheel gripped by the gripping unit are stopped, and the lifting and lowering operation of the tire stand on which the tire is placed is stopped, thereby improving safety.
[0017] In addition, according to the present invention, the control unit displays image information indicating the work to be performed on the display unit in response to information selected by the first input unit, the second input unit, and the third input unit. Therefore, by looking at the content displayed on the display unit, the worker can predict the operation of the various components of the tire mounting / removal device, thereby enabling the worker to prepare for the next operation of the various components to be performed, improving workability and safety.
[0018] In addition, according to the present invention, a tire guiding member is provided on the tire stand, so that the worker can manually rotate the tire and move it from the floor surface onto the tire stand via the tire guiding member, or from the tire stand to the floor surface. This makes it easier to load even heavy tires onto the tire stand by overcoming the step between the floor surface and the upper surface of the tire stand, or to lower the tire from the tire stand to the floor surface, thereby reducing the burden of the task of lifting and lowering tires onto and from the tire stand.
[0019] In addition, according to the present invention, the control unit moves the pair of bead rollers in the axial direction in response to the rim diameter and rim cross-sectional width selected by the second input unit, so that even if the wheels are of different sizes, the pair of bead rollers are prevented from contacting the wheel, and the tire sidewall can be reliably and appropriately pressed in.
[0020] In addition, according to the present invention, the lifting means is provided with an ejection device, so that even heavy tires can be easily and reliably ejected from the tire stand, thereby reducing the workload of workers. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0039] 16 is a block diagram of the control unit 15. The control unit 15 includes a control device 15a and a storage unit 15b. The control device 15a is composed of, for example, a central processing unit (CPU). The storage unit 15b is composed of memories such as a random access memory (RAM) and a read only memory (ROM) to which the control device 15a reads and writes. The control device 15a receives output signals from the inclination angle detection means 13a, the rotation angle detection means 13b, the lift height distance detection means 13c, the moving table movement distance detection means 13d, the guide press movement distance detection means 13e, the bead press movement distance detection means 13f, the tire support origin limit switch 13g, the moving table origin limit switch 13h, the tire / wheel detection limit switch 13i, the proximity switch 13j, the safety curtain 13k, the hydraulic sensor for detecting chuck abnormalities 13m, the cream amount deficiency detection sensor 13n, the foot switch unit 200, the physical changeover switch 13o on the operation panel, and the virtual changeover switch 13p on the touch panel. In response to each input output signal, the control device 15a controls and operates the hydraulic unit motor M2, the tire rotation motor M1, each hydraulic cylinder CY1 to CY7, each air cylinder CY11 to CY18, the cream application valve 35e, the atomization air valve 35f, the signal tower 35g, the laser marker 35h, the virtual pilot lamp 35i on the touch panel, and the display unit 505.
[0040] The control device 15a is connected to the storage unit 15b. The storage unit 15b stores tire information that individually indicates a plurality of tire types having different outer diameters, section heights, and section widths, and push-in position information that indicates a predetermined first push-in position (hereinafter, may be abbreviated simply as "pushing position") of the guide press rollers 23a, 23b in association with the tire information, and push-in position information that indicates a predetermined second push-in position (hereinafter, may be abbreviated simply as "pushing position") of the bead roller 27a or 28b. The changeover switches SW25 to 27 described below constitute an input device 500 that is operated to select one of the plurality of tire information.
[0041] The positions of the guide press rollers 23a and 23b in the direction of the axis L2 are detected by the guide press movement distance detection means 13e, and the positions of the bead rollers 27a and 27b in the direction of the axis L2 are detected by the moving table movement distance detection means 13d. These position detectors 13e and 13d are realized by linear encoders, and each detection value signal is input to the control unit 15 and used for calculation of the pressing position, etc.
[0042] The control device 15a reads out from the memory unit the pushing position information of the guide press rollers 23a, 23b and the pushing position information of the bead rollers 27a, 27b corresponding to one piece of tire information selected by the change-over switches SW25-27, and the control unit 15 moves the guide press rollers 23a, 23b of the tire pushing means 23 to a predetermined pushing position based on the pushing position information of the guide press rollers 23a, 23b read from the reading unit, and moves the bead rollers 27a, 27b to their pushing positions based on the pushing position information of the bead rollers 27a or 27b read from the reading unit.
[0043] When the control unit 15 is set to the light point alignment mode by the change-over switch C26, the chuck means E that grips the wheel 3 on which the tire 2 is mounted during the automatic tire mounting operation is rotated by the rotation drive unit 12, the ejection device 30 is extended, and the tire stand 5 is raised to a position where only the tire 2 stops relative to the wheel 3 that is rotating the ejection member 495 by manual operation of the operator's SW34.
[0044] When the light spot mark printed on the tire 2 and the valve position of the wheel 3 reach a position that coincides circumferentially, the worker can manually operate the SW34 to lower the tire stand 5, thereby achieving a state in which the lightest light spot position on the tire 2 and the heaviest valve position on the wheel are in the same position. By achieving this state in which the lightest light spot position on the tire 2 and the heaviest valve position on the wheel are in the same position, it is possible to reduce the amount of weight imbalance when the tire rolls. When the worker presses the SW22, the control unit 15 determines that the light spot alignment mode has been completed, stops the rotation drive unit 12, and returns to automatic tire mounting operation.
[0045] The control unit 15 is realized by a CPU as a hardware resource, and is configured to perform the following calculations using a program, which is a software resource, executed by the CPU, to calculate the amount of lift required to align the central axis of the tire 2 with the axis L2 of the rotation drive unit 12.
[0046] That is, when the distance from axis L1, which is the center of rotation of tilting arm 10, to contact point 7a near top 6 of tire 2 is L11, the outer diameter of tire 2 is D, the moving distance from the support surface of tire stand 5 to axis L1 of tilting arm 10 in the vertical direction is H1, the moving distance from the tire support surface of tire stand 5 to axis L2 of rotation drive unit 12 is H3, and the moving distance to be raised is H2, then Tire outer diameter D = L11 × sinθ + H1 … (1) Travel distance H2=H3-D / 2…(2) It can be calculated by:
[0047] By outputting a drive signal corresponding to such a travel distance H2 to the lifting cylinder CY6, the tire stand 5 is raised by the lifting means 16 by the travel distance H2, and the tire 2 can be raised to a height position where the central axis of the tire 2 coincides with the axis L2 of the rotation drive unit 12.
[0048] After the worker loads the tire 2 onto the tire stand 5 in the lowered position by, for example, rolling it, the tilting arm 10 is brought into contact with the vicinity of the top 6 of the tire 2, so that the tire 2 can be automatically moved to a height position where the central axis of the tire 2 coincides with the axis L2 of the rotation drive unit 12, thereby making it possible to perform the operations of mounting the tire 2 on the wheel 3 and removing the tire 2 from the wheel 3 in a short time, significantly reducing the labor and time required by the worker.

[0066] Fig. 32A is a diagram showing a state before the tire 2 is dispensed by the dispensing device 30, and Fig. 32B is a diagram showing a state in which the tire 2 has been dispensed by the dispensing device 30. Fig. 33 is a diagram showing a state in which the tire 2 is prevented from rotating by the dispensing device 30. Since the dispensing device 30 is provided on the tire lifter 471, when the tire 2 is placed on the tire stand 5 and the gripper 18 is removed from the wheel 3 as shown in Fig. 32A, when an operator steps on the foot switch Pd3, a dispensing member 495 protrudes as shown in Fig. 32B, and the tire 2 is pressed against the tire stand 5 to be dispensed. In addition, when performing light spot alignment, the light spot position with the light spot mark on the tire 2 is positioned at, for example, the 6 o'clock position, and as shown in FIG. 33 , the tire 2 is pressed by the pushing member 495 to prevent the tire 2 from rotating, and the gripping portion 18 is rotated to rotate the wheel 3 until the valve position of the wheel 3 circumferentially coincides with the light spot position of the tire 2, thereby performing light spot alignment.
[0067] By providing the tire lifter 471 with the ejection device 30, the tire 2 can be easily ejected, and the burden on the worker can be reduced. In addition, the ejection device 30 allows the wheel 3 to be rotated by the gripper 18 alone while preventing the tire 2 from rotating, which facilitates the light point alignment work.
[0068] Fig. 34A is a diagram showing the state when the bead roller 27b starts dispensing the tire 2, and Fig. 34B is a diagram showing the state when the bead roller 27b has dispensing the tire 2 to the first dispensing position. With the second bead portion of the tire 2 supported by the other bead roller 27b, the guide press roller 23a extends from the origin position to the push-in position L11 read from the memory unit and pushes the first bead portion of the tire 2 toward the second bead portion, so that the first bead portion is pushed near the drop portion of the wheel 3, and the bead roller 27b further pushes the first bead portion to the first dispensing position of the distance L12, so that even if the tire 2 is a wide tire with high rigidity, the first bead portion can be reliably dispensed without being influenced by the shape of the shoulder portion.
[0069] FIG. 35A is a cross-sectional view showing the state in which the tire is pushed in by the hump-crossing operation of the tire mounting / removal device, and FIG. 35B is a side view seen from the left of FIG. 35A. With the wheel 3 on which the tire 2 is mounted being held by the gripping part 18, the control part 15 rotates the rotation drive part 12 and stops it at a position where one of the bead rollers 27a and the valve position overlap in the circumferential direction. The control part 15 moves the bead roller 27a to the hump-crossing push-in position to push in the first bead part, so that the second bead part on the opposite side can cross the valve position. The control part 15 also rotates the rotation drive part 12 for two cycles within a range of ±15° based on the position of the bead roller 27a, so that the second bead can more reliably cross the valve position. By aiming at the valve position to cross the hump, the operation time can be shortened compared to the conventional operation in which the entire second bead is made to cross the hump.
[0070] FIG. 36 is a flow chart for explaining the hump-crossing operation of the tire mounting / removal device 1. When the worker operates the change-over switch SW22 while the wheel 3 is being held by the gripping part 18 to start the tire mounting operation, in step s1, the control part 15 starts the rotation of the rotation drive part 12. Next, the process proceeds to step s2, and when the valve 17 of the wheel 3 is in the same angular position as one of the bead rollers 27a, the rotation of the tire 2 is stopped. In step s3, one of the bead rollers 27a is moved to a hump-crossing push-in position. In step s4, the rotation drive part 12 is rotated for two cycles within a range of ±15° based on the position of one of the bead rollers 27a. In step s5, one of the bead rollers 27a is moved to the initial position, and in step s6, the hump-crossing operation is terminated by detecting that one of the bead rollers 27a has reached the initial position.
[0071] 37 and 38 are flow charts for explaining the operation of the valve avoidance mode of the tire mounting / removal device 1. With the tire mounting / removal device 1 in the valve avoidance mode on state, an operator operates the change-over switch SW21 to select automatic operation, and in step a1, an operator places the tire 2 on the tire stand 5 and manually rotates the tire 2 on the tire stand 5 so that the valve 17 is at the 6 o'clock position. In step a2, an operator operates the change-over switch SW22 to start automatic operation. In step a3, the rotation drive unit 12 is rotated until the origin of the gripping unit 18 is obtained. In step a4, when the origin of the gripping unit 18 is obtained, the rotation drive unit 12 is stopped. In step a5, the tilting cylinder CY16 is extended, and the tilting arm 10 is set to the top 6 of the tire 2. In step a6, a signal from the angle measurement unit is read, and in step a7, the lift amount of the lifting cylinder CY6 is calculated. In step a8, the lift cylinder CY6 is raised by the previously calculated value, and in step a9, the movable body 26 is moved to a specified value. In step a10, the gripping portion 18 is opened to grip the wheel 3. In step a11, the tilting cylinder CY16 is retracted, and the tilting arm 10 is moved to the origin position. In step a12, the lift cylinder CY6 is lowered until the lower end sensor of the lift cylinder CY6 is detected. In step a13, it is determined whether the valve avoidance switch is on. If the valve avoidance switch is off, the process proceeds to step a14, and if the valve avoidance switch is on, the process proceeds to step a22.
[0072] In step a14, the rotary drive unit 12 is rotated counterclockwise. In step a15, the bead roller 27a is moved. In step a22, the rotary drive unit 12 keeps the tire 2 oscillating in a range of 100° downstream, and then the process proceeds to step a15. In step a16, the control unit 15 starts spraying bead cream, and in step a17, the control unit 15 sprays the bead cream for a specified time. In step a18, the control unit 15 reads the pushing position of the guide press rollers 23a, 23b. In step a19, it is determined whether the flat tire mode is on. If the flat tire mode is off, the process proceeds to step a20, and if the flat tire mode is on, the process proceeds to step a23. In step a20, the guide press rollers 23a, 23b are extended to the previous pushing position, and the first bead portion of the tire 2 is guided to the drop portion of the wheel 3. In step a23, the pushing positions for the guide press rollers 23a and 23b for a flat tire are read out, and then the process proceeds to step a20.
[0073] Next, in step a24, it is determined whether the low-profile tire mode is on or not. If the low-profile tire mode is on, the process proceeds to step a25. If the low-profile tire mode is off, the process proceeds to step a26. In step a25, the control unit 15 reads out the removal position of the first bead portion for low-profile tires. In step a26, one bead roller 27a starts moving to the previous pushing position, and pushes out the first bead portion from the wheel 3. In step a27, the guide press rollers 23a and 23b are moved to the origin position. In step a28, it is determined whether the valve avoidance switch SW is on or not. If the valve avoidance switch SW is off, the process proceeds to step a29. If the valve avoidance switch SW is on, the process proceeds to step a30. In step a29, the control unit 15 reads out the pushing position of the second bead portion of the other bead roller 27b from the memory unit 15b. Then, the process proceeds to step a34.
[0074] In step a30, the rotation of the rotary drive unit 12 is stopped, and in step a31, the lift cylinder CY6 is raised by the previously calculated value to receive the tire 2. In step a32, the removal preparation position of the second bead portion of the other bead roller 27b is read out. In step a33, the lift cylinder CY6 is lowered until the lower end sensor of the lift cylinder CY6 is detected, and then the process proceeds to step a29.
[0075] In step a34, it is determined whether the flat tire mode is on or not. If the flat tire mode is off, the process proceeds to step a35, and if the flat tire mode is on, the process proceeds to step a36. In step a36, the pushing position of the second bead portion for the flat tire is read by the control unit 15, and the process proceeds to step a35. In step a35, the other bead roller 27b starts moving to the pushing position of the second bead portion. In step a37, the lift cylinder CY6 is raised by the moving distance H2. In step a38, the lift cylinder CY6 is raised by the moving distance H2 and then put into standby. In step a39, the other bead roller 27b reaches the pushing position of the second bead portion. In step a40, it is determined whether the valve avoidance switch is on or not. If the valve avoidance switch is off, the process proceeds to step a41, and if the valve avoidance switch SW is on, the process proceeds to step a42. In step a42, the rotation drive unit 12 is rotated counterclockwise. In step a41, the lifting frame is raised a specified number of seconds after the second bead portion is pushed in, and the tire 2 is received. In step a43, the rotation of the rotation drive unit 12 is stopped. In step a44, the lifting cylinder CY6 is lowered until the lower end sensor of the lifting cylinder CY6 is detected. In step a45, the moving body 26 is moved to the origin position. When the moving body 26 reaches the origin position in step a46, automatic operation is terminated. In step a47, when the worker presses the discharge switch, the tire 2 is pushed out onto the discharge plate. In step a48, the worker ejects the tire 2 from the tire mounting / removal device 1, and the operation is terminated.
[0076] FIG. 39 is a flow chart for explaining the light point alignment operation of the tire mounting / removal device 1. When the control unit 15 is set to the light point alignment mode by the changeover switch C26 and the automatic tire mounting operation is started, the control unit 15 starts the light point alignment operation during the automatic tire mounting operation. In step b1, the control unit 15 controls the rotation drive unit 12 to start rotating while the wheel 3 with the tire 2 fitted therein is held by the gripper unit 18. In step b2, the control unit 15 holds a flag so that the lifting / lowering means 16 can be manually raised and lowered. In step b3, the control unit 15 controls the extension / retraction cylinder CY15 to extend and raise the releasing member 495 and maintain it. In step b4, the operator operates the changeover switch SW34 to raise the tire stand 5 and press the releasing member 495 against the tire bottom. In step b5, the releasing member 495 is pressed against the tire 2, the rotation of the tire 2 is suppressed and stopped, and only the wheel 3 is in an idle state. In step b6, when the worker visually confirms that the light point mark of the tire 2 is aligned with the position of the valve 17, the worker operates the change-over switch SW34 to lower the tire stand 5, releasing the restriction on the rotation of the tire 2 and preventing the wheel 3 from spinning freely. In step b7, when the worker presses the start switch SW7, the control unit 15 releases the manual flag of the rotation drive unit 12. In step b8, under the control of the control unit 15, the delivery telescopic cylinder CY15 is lowered until it is detected by the lower end sensor of the delivery telescopic cylinder CY15. In step b9, under the control of the control unit 15, the rotation of the rotation drive unit 12 is stopped and the light point alignment mode is completed.
[0077] FIG. 40 is a cross-sectional view showing an example of the installation of the tire internal pressure measuring device 19, FIG. 41A is a diagram for explaining the operation of the tire mounting / removal device 1 in the valve avoidance mode, and FIG. 41B is a diagram for explaining the operation of the tire mounting / removal device 1 in the valve avoidance mode. FIG. 40(1) is a cross-sectional view showing a tire 2 without the tire internal pressure measuring device 19 attached, FIG. 40(2) is a cross-sectional view showing the state in which the tire internal pressure measuring device 19 is attached to the valve 17, FIG. 40(3) is a cross-sectional view showing the state in which the tire internal pressure measuring device 19 is attached to the wheel 3 by a belt, FIG. 40(4) is a cross-sectional view showing the state in which the tire internal pressure measuring device 19 is attached to the wheel 3 by a wire, and FIG. 40(5) is a cross-sectional view showing the state in which the tire internal pressure measuring device 19 is attached to the tire 2 by a wire. In some cases, a tire internal pressure measuring device (abbreviated as TPMS) 19 is attached to the wheel 3 of the tire 2 in order to monitor the tire internal pressure. There are three ways to attach the tire pressure gauge 19: attaching it to the valve, wrapping it around the wheel 3 with a belt, and wrapping it around the wheel 3 with a wire. When removing and mounting a tire with the tire pressure gauge 19 attached, care must be taken to prevent interference between the bead portion and the tire pressure gauge 19, otherwise the tire pressure gauge 19 may be damaged. Damage to the tire pressure gauge 19 occurs when the tire pressure gauge 19 is located on the opposite side of the bead roller 27a, as shown in Figure 41A.
[0078] FIG. 42A is a cross-sectional view showing an example of damage to the tire internal pressure gauge 19 when the tire is removed, and FIG. 42B is a cross-sectional view showing an example of damage to the tire internal pressure gauge 19 when the tire is attached. As shown in FIG. 42A, when the tire is removed, when the first bead portion is removed, the tire 2 tries to descend by its own weight, so that the second bead portion comes into contact with the top surface of the wheel 3. If the second bead portion is pushed out by the bead roller 27b while being in contact with the top surface of the wheel 3, the second bead portion gets caught by the tire internal pressure gauge 19, damaging the tire internal pressure gauge 19. Also, as shown in FIG. 42B, when the tire is attached, when the first bead portion is fitted to the wheel 3, the tire 2 tries to descend by its own weight, so that the first bead portion comes into contact with the top surface of the wheel 3. When the second bead portion is pressed in by the other bead roller 27b, the first bead portion gets caught on the tire internal pressure gauge 19, causing the tire internal pressure gauge 19 to be damaged.
[0079] In order to avoid such damage to the tire internal pressure gauge 19, when mounting or removing the tire 2 on or from the wheel 3, the valve 17 and the tire internal pressure gauge 19 can be positioned downward to avoid interference between each bead portion and the tire internal pressure gauge 19, and when the bead passes over the tire internal pressure gauge 19, interference between the bead and the tire internal pressure gauge 19 can be avoided by lifting the tire 2 while moving it.In order to reflect these elements, the tire mounting / removal device 1 of the present invention has a valve avoidance mode.
[0080] Fig. 43 is a diagram for explaining the operation of the valve avoidance mode of the tire mounting / removal device 1. The relationship between the configuration of the valve avoidance mode and when a tire is inserted will be described. A proximity sensor and a contact piece of the proximity sensor are provided to set the rotation origin of the gripper 18. Also, a rotary encoder is provided on the output shaft end of the motor M1 that rotates the gripper 18, and the number of measured pulses is calculated to detect how many degrees the gripper has tilted from the origin.
[0081] FIG. 44 is a diagram for explaining the operation of the valve avoidance mode of the tire mounting / removal device 1. In addition, when inserting the tire into the tire stand 5, the valve 17 needs to be aligned at the 6 o'clock position (directly below) so that the origin of rotation obtained by the gripping part 18 and the angular position of the valve 17 are always the same. Two rotatable rollers are provided on the tire stand 5, and the worker rotates the tire 2 by hand and corrects the position below the 6 o'clock position where it is visible, thereby completing the insertion work. The tire internal pressure gauge 19 is disposed inside the tire, and therefore cannot be visually confirmed, so it is preferable to position the tire internal pressure gauge 19 near the valve 17 when mounting the tire pressure gauge 19 on the wheel 3.
[0082] FIG. 45A is a cross-sectional view for explaining the operation of the tire mounting / removal device 1 in the valve avoidance mode, and FIG. 45B is a side view for explaining the operation of the tire mounting / removal device 1 in the valve avoidance mode. The valve avoidance mode will be explained. By aligning the origin of the gripping part 18 and the 6 o'clock position of the valve 17 of the wheel 3 to the same position, the position of the valve sensor can be specified during automatic mode operation of the tire mounting / removal device 1. This allows the position of the valve 17 to be moved arbitrarily below the wheel 3 to prevent damage to the tire internal pressure gauge 19 during tire replacement, and prevents damage to the tire internal pressure gauge 19. In addition, since the rotation angle of the gripping part 18 is also recognized by the rotary encoder, during tire replacement work, the gripping part 18, which has been set to continue rotating in a fixed direction (forward or reverse), can be controlled by the control part 15 to rotate within a range of angle θ of approximately 100°, so that the valve sensor can always move below the wheel 3.
[0083] FIG. 46A is a cross-sectional view for explaining the operation of the tire mounting / removal device 1 to go over a hump, and FIG. 46B is a side view for explaining the operation of the tire mounting / removal device 1 to go over a hump. In the conventional technology, in the operation of going over a hump by the tire mounting / removal device 1, the guide press roller and the bead roller simultaneously press the opposing parts of the tire to make the entire bead go over the hump. This is because the positional relationship of the valve 17 could not be determined. In contrast, in the present invention, the positional relationship of the valve 17 can be recognized by the valve avoidance mode, so that if the valve 17 is passed, the air does not leak directly out of the wheel when the tire is filled with air thereafter, but remains inside the tire 2, causing the tire 2 to inflate, and the tire 2 can go over the hump automatically due to the internal pressure. Since the tire can go over the hump with just a pinpoint push, it is no longer necessary to maintain the pushed-in state for, for example, 15 seconds at the push-in position, and the work time for the hump-crossing work can be shortened. In addition, even if a tire pressure gauge 19 is installed, the place where the vehicle goes over the hump is the bead roller position below the wheel 3, so the weight of the tire 2 creates a space, allowing the vehicle to go over the hump without interfering with the tire pressure gauge 19.
[0084] Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above, the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments, and various modifications and improvements are possible within the scope of the gist of the present invention. It goes without saying that all or part of the components of each of the above-mentioned embodiments can be appropriately combined within the scope of not contradicting each other.
