Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a work support on which a work is placed and a packaging unit including the same.

Background Art

[0002] Conventionally, many packaging units for packaging works (such as products) have been composed of cardboard boxes and resin-made cushioning materials such as styrofoam housed in the cardboard boxes. On the other hand, in recent years, from the viewpoint of environmental conservation and the like, there has been an increasing voice in the entire industry to avoid using resin products or to reduce the amount of resin products used, and this voice is no exception in the packaging unit.

[0003] In response to this, development of a cushioning material formed of a paper material such as cardboard instead of the resin-made cushioning material used in the packaging unit has been made. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a specific example of a cushioning material formed from cardboard. The cushioning material of Patent Document 1 is formed by alternately bending cardboard into a corrugated shape, and the cushioning material can be created only by performing bending processing on a single piece of cardboard.

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0005] However, the cardboard-made cushioning material described in Patent Document 1 is suitable for being arranged so as to surround the work at the same height as the work, but it has not been premised that the work is placed thereon. The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a work support and a packaging unit including the same, which are premised on being used with a work placed thereon.

Means for Solving the Problem

[0006] The work support according to the first invention that meets the above object is a work support on which a work is placed, formed by using a single cardboard sheet as a cardboard material, having a first side wall portion on the right side, a left mounting table on which the work is placed, a second side wall portion on the left side, and a right mounting table on which the work is placed, disposed at a position having a distance to the left mounting table on the right side of the left mounting table, and a bracing member that is in contact with the first side wall portion and the second side wall portion and prevents deformation of the left mounting table and the right mounting table.

[0007] The packaging unit according to the second invention that meets the above object is a packaging unit for the work, in which a work support on which a work is placed, formed by using a single cardboard sheet as a cardboard material, is housed in a cardboard box. The work support has a first side wall portion on the right side, a left mounting table on which the work is placed, a second side wall portion on the left side, and a right mounting table on which the work is placed, disposed at a position having a distance to the left mounting table on the right side of the left mounting table, and a bracing member that is in contact with the first side wall portion and the second side wall portion and prevents deformation of the left mounting table and the right mounting table.

Advantages of the Invention

[0008] Since the work support according to the first invention has a first side wall portion on the right side, a left mounting table on which a work is placed, a second side wall portion on the left side, a right mounting table on which the work is placed at a position having a distance to the left mounting table on the right side of the left mounting table, and a bracing member that is in contact with the first side wall portion and the second side wall portion and prevents deformation of the left mounting table and the right mounting table, deformation of the left mounting table and the right mounting table due to the load of the work can be prevented by the bracing member. Therefore, it is possible to assume that the work is placed and used. In addition, since the packaging unit according to the second invention includes the work support, the work support can be assumed to be used with a work placed thereon.

Mode for Carrying Out the Invention

[0010] Subsequently, with reference to the attached drawings, embodiments embodying the present invention will be described to facilitate understanding of the present invention. As shown in FIGS. 1, 3, and 4, a packaging unit 10 for a work W according to an embodiment of the present invention is a unit in which a work support 12 on which the work W is placed is housed in a cardboard box 11. This will be described in detail below.

[0011] In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the cardboard box 11 is a box having a rectangular parallelepiped appearance in which cardboard is bent and the bottom is closed with an adhesive tape or the like. The work support 12 is inserted into the cardboard box 11 from the open upper part of the cardboard box 11 and is housed in the cardboard box 11 in a state of being in close contact with the bottom and four side wall portions of the cardboard box 11. With the work support 12 housed in the cardboard box 11, a work (in this embodiment, a product such as a gas bath kettle) W is placed on the work support 12.

[0012] The work W placed on the work support 12 is arranged at a position where it does not contact the cardboard box 11, and the horizontal movement thereof is restricted by the work support 12. After a work protector (not shown) is arranged above the work W, the upper part of the cardboard box 11 is closed with an adhesive tape or the like, and the work W is in a packaged state.

[0013] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the work support 12 is assembled by processing such as cutting and bending a single piece of cardboard 13 cut into a predetermined shape. In the present embodiment, the work support 12 is formed by a single piece of cardboard 13 and an adhesive (an adhesive for adhering and fixing one location of the cardboard 13 to another location). However, the work support may be formed using a plurality of cardboard pieces, or something other than an adhesive, for example, a fixing fitting, may be used to fix one location of the cardboard 13 to another location.

[0014] As shown in FIG. 1, in a plan view, the work support 12 includes a left mounting table 14 on the left side on which the left side (i.e., the work W) of the work W is placed, and a right mounting table 15 on which the right side (i.e., the work W) of the work W is placed at a position having a distance to the left mounting table 14 on the right side of the left mounting table 14. The left mounting table 14 and the right mounting table 15 are each a hollow rectangular parallelepiped shape that is long in the front-rear direction and are arranged in parallel.

[0015] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the left mounting table 14 has a bottom surface portion 16, a top plate portion 17 (first top plate portion) arranged parallel to the bottom surface portion 16 above the bottom surface portion 16, a side wall portion 18 arranged on the left side, and a side wall portion 19 (first side wall portion) arranged parallel to the side wall portion 18 on the right side. As shown in FIG. 3, a rectangle is formed by the cross sections of the bottom surface portion 16, the top plate portion 17, and the side wall portions 18 and 19. The left mounting table 14 has the left side of the bottom of the work W placed in the right region of the top plate portion 17 (in the present embodiment, the substantially right half region of the top plate portion 17), and the load from the work W is mainly applied to the side wall portion 19 via the top plate portion 17.

[0016] As shown in FIGS. 1, 3, and 4, the right mounting table 15 has a bottom surface portion 20, a top plate portion 21 (second top plate portion) arranged parallel to the bottom surface portion 20 above the bottom surface portion 20, a side wall portion 22 (second side wall portion) arranged on the left side, and a side wall portion 23 arranged parallel to the side wall portion 22 on the right side. As shown in FIG. 3, a rectangle is formed by the cross-sections of the bottom surface portion 20, the top plate portion 21, and the side wall portions 22 and 23. The right side of the bottom of the work W is placed on the left region of the top plate portion 21 (in this embodiment, the substantially left half region of the top plate portion 21), and the load from the work W is mainly applied to the side wall portion 22 via the top plate portion 21.

[0017] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 5, two notches 24 and 25 (both notches 24 and 25 are examples of notch C) are formed in the side wall portion 19 with a distance in the front-rear direction. In this embodiment, in two regions of the side wall portion 19, the lower half in the vertical direction is opened in a rectangular shape (including a square shape and a slit shape, hereinafter, the rectangular shape includes a square shape and a slit shape) by the notches 24 and 25 respectively. Also, as shown in FIGS. 1, 4, and 5, two notches 26 and 27 (both notches 26 and 27 are examples of notch D) are formed in the side wall portion 22 with a distance in the front-rear direction. In this embodiment, in two regions of the side wall portion 22, the lower half in the vertical direction is opened in a rectangular shape by the notches 26 and 27 respectively.

[0018] As shown in FIGS. 1, 3, and 5, a left stopper member 28 having a rectangular cross-section and long in the front-rear direction is placed on the left region of the top plate portion 17 of the left mounting table 14. The left stopper member 28 contacts the left side of the work W to prevent the work W from moving to the left side of a predetermined position (restrict the leftward movement of the work W). In this embodiment, the left stopper member 28 includes a side wall portion 29 provided continuously with the side wall portion 18 on the left side. Also, the cardboard box 11 contacts the side wall portion 29 so that the left stopper member 28 receives the load from the work W and does not move to the left side of a predetermined position.

[0019] On the right mounting table 15 as well, in the right region of the top plate portion 21, a right stopper member 30 that is long in the front-rear direction and has a rectangular cross-section is placed. The right stopper member 30 contacts the right side of the workpiece W to prevent the workpiece W from moving to the right side of a predetermined position (restrict the rightward movement of the workpiece W). In the present embodiment, the right stopper member 30 includes a side wall portion 31 provided continuously to the side wall portion 23 on the right side. Further, the cardboard box 11 contacts the side wall portion 31 so that the right stopper member 30 receives the load from the workpiece W and the right stopper member 30 does not move to the right side of a predetermined position.

[0020] The left mounting table 14 and the right mounting table 15 are at the same height, and the lengths of both in the front-rear direction are equal. The notches 24 and 26 are formed at the same position in the front-rear direction, and the notches 25 and 27 are formed at the same position in the front-rear direction. The left stopper member 28 and the right stopper member 30 are at the same height, and the lengths of both in the front-rear direction are equal.

[0021] Further, as shown in FIGS. 1, 3, 4, and 5, the workpiece support 12 includes two (i.e., a plurality of) hanging members 32 and 33 that contact the side wall portion 19 of the left mounting table 14 and the side wall portion 22 of the right mounting table 15. The hanging members 32 and 33 are arranged at intervals in the front-rear direction, and both are plate-like members formed from a plate-shaped portion obtained by vertically cutting up a part of the cardboard paper 13 (a part of the region corresponding to the bottom surface 34 on which the left mounting table 14 and the right mounting table 15 are placed in the workpiece support 12).

[0022] As shown in FIG. 1, the hanging member 32 is provided along the left-right direction (arranged perpendicular to the front-rear direction) at the position where the notches 24 and 26 are formed in the front-rear direction. The hanging member 33 is provided along the left-right direction at the position where the notches 25 and 27 are formed in the front-rear direction.

[0023] As shown in FIGS. 3, 4, and 5, when viewed from the front, the engaging member 32 has left and right ends that are lower than the region excluding the left and right ends (hereinafter also referred to as the "central region"), and the central region is slightly lower (in the range of 0.5 mm or more and 3.0 mm or less in this embodiment) or higher than the left mounting table 14 and the right mounting table 15. Alternatively, the central region, the left mounting table 14, and the right mounting table 15 are at the same height. The engaging member 32 has a length in the left-right direction of the central region that is substantially equal to the distance between the side wall portions 19 and 22, with the left end of the central region in contact with the side wall portion 19 and the right end of the central region in contact with the side wall portion 22.

[0024] Here, the left mounting table 14 receives a load in the direction in which the side wall portion 19 deforms from the workpiece W, and the right mounting table 15 receives a load in the direction in which the side wall portion 22 deforms from the workpiece W. In this embodiment, when the left end of the central region of the engaging member 32 contacts the side wall portion 19, it prevents the deformation of the side wall portion 19 and thus the entire left mounting table 14. Also, when the right end of the central region of the engaging member 32 contacts the side wall portion 22, it prevents the deformation of the side wall portion 22 and thus the entire right mounting table 15.

[0025] The length of the engaging member 32 in the left-right direction as a whole is longer by the lengths of the left and right ends compared to the distance between the side wall portions 19 and 22. The left end is inserted into the left mounting table 14 from the notch 24, and the right end is inserted into the right mounting table 15 from the notch 26. In this embodiment, a left insertion portion 35 is formed by the left end of the engaging member 32, and a right insertion portion 36 is formed by the right end of the engaging member 32. One side (the rear side) of the left insertion portion 35 contacts the vertical portion of the outer peripheral portion of the notch 24 of the side wall portion 19, and one side (the rear side) of the right insertion portion 36 contacts the vertical portion of the outer peripheral portion of the notch 26 of the side wall portion 22.

[0026] The height of the left insertion part 35 is substantially equal to the vertical length of the notch 24, and the horizontal part of the outer peripheral part of the notch 24 of the side wall part 19 is in contact with the upper end of the left insertion part 35. Therefore, the load of the work W placed on the left mounting table 14 is applied to the left insertion part 35 via the side wall part 19. That is, the left insertion part 35 supports the work W via the side wall part 19. The height of the right insertion part 36 is also substantially equal to the vertical length of the notch 26, and the horizontal part of the outer peripheral part of the notch 26 of the side wall part 22 is in contact with the upper end of the right insertion part 36. Therefore, the load of the work W placed on the right mounting table 15 is applied to the right insertion part 36 via the side wall part 22. That is, the right insertion part 36 supports the work W via the side wall part 22.

[0027] The engaging member 33 has the same shape as the engaging member 32. When viewed from the front, the left and right ends of the engaging member 33 are lower than the central region excluding the left and right ends, and the central region is slightly lower or higher than the left mounting table 14 and the right mounting table 15. Alternatively, the central region, the left mounting table 14, and the right mounting table 15 are at the same height. The central region has a length in the left-right direction that is substantially equal to the distance between the side wall parts 19 and 22. The left end contacts the side wall part 19 to prevent deformation of the side wall part 19 and thus the entire left mounting table 14, and the right end contacts the side wall part 22 to prevent deformation of the side wall part 22 and thus the entire right mounting table 15.

[0028] The engaging member 33 forms a left insertion part inserted into the left mounting table 14 from the notch 25 by the left end, and a right insertion part inserted into the right mounting table 15 from the notch 27 by the right end. The front surface of the left insertion part contacts the vertical part of the outer peripheral part of the notch 25 of the side wall part 19, and the front surface of the right insertion part also contacts the vertical part of the outer peripheral part of the notch 27 of the side wall part 22.

[0029] The height of the left insertion part of the engaging member 33 is substantially equal to the vertical length of the notch 25, and the horizontal part of the outer peripheral part of the notch 25 of the side wall part 19 is in contact with the upper end of the left insertion part. Therefore, the left insertion part supports the work W via the side wall part 19. The height of the right insertion portion of the engaging member 33 is also substantially equal to the vertical length of the notch 27, and the horizontal portion of the outer peripheral portion of the notch 27 in the side wall portion 22 is in contact with the upper end of the right insertion portion. Therefore, the right insertion portion supports the work W via the side wall portion 22.

[0030] As described above, the embodiments of the present invention have been described. However, the present invention is not limited to the above-described forms, and all changes and the like that do not depart from the gist are within the scope of application of the present invention. For example, there may be one engaging member, or three or more engaging members. Further, the engaging member does not necessarily have to be a plate-like member. For example, it may have a rectangular cross-sectional shape formed by bending a part of corrugated paper. And when the work cannot be supported by a single plate-like engaging member due to insufficient strength, the strength of the engaging member can be improved by bending the plate-like member to form an engaging member in which the plate-like portions overlap double or triple. Furthermore, different positions in the left-right direction of the engaging member may all be at the same height. And the engaging member does not necessarily have a portion inserted into the left mounting table and a portion inserted into the right mounting table.

[0031] Also, the left stopper member and the right stopper member may not be provided. When the left stopper member and the right stopper member are provided, the left stopper member and the right stopper member do not necessarily have to be placed on the left mounting table and the right mounting table, respectively. The corrugated box in which the work support is housed does not have to be a rectangular parallelepiped.
