Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0005] A first object of the present disclosure is to provide a connector including a fixed housing and a movable housing, the connector having a new movement restriction structure. A second object of the present disclosure is to provide a connector pair including a first connector and a second connector, the connector pair shortening the length of the protruding portion of the first terminal and securing an effective fitting length.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0006] The connector according to the first aspect is a connector including a terminal portion and a housing portion. The terminal portion includes a terminal row, and the terminal row includes two terminals adjacent to each other in a second direction which is a direction perpendicular to one side in a first direction which is a connection direction to which an object to be connected is connected. The housing portion includes a fixed housing fixed to an object to be attached and a movable housing movable with respect to the fixed housing. Each of the two terminals has an intermediate elastic portion that allows movement of the movable housing. One of the fixed housing and the movable housing includes an intermediate structure portion provided at a position between the two terminals as viewed from the first direction. The intermediate structure portion is configured to limit the movement range of the movable housing by abutting against the other of the fixed housing and the movable housing when the movable housing moves. The intermediate structure portion includes a partition wall disposed between two intermediate elastic portions adjacent to each other in the second direction.
[0007] In this aspect, the connector includes a terminal portion and a housing portion. The terminal portion includes a terminal row. The terminal row includes two terminals adjacent to each other in a second direction which is a direction perpendicular to one side in a first direction which is a connection direction to which an object to be connected is connected. The housing portion includes a fixed housing fixed to an object to be attached and a movable housing movable with respect to the fixed housing. Each of the two terminals has an intermediate elastic portion that allows movement of the movable housing.
[0008] Also, in this aspect, one of the fixed housing and the movable housing includes an intermediate structure portion. The intermediate structure portion is provided at a position between the two terminals as viewed from the first direction. And the intermediate structure portion is configured to abut against the other of the fixed housing and the movable housing when the movable housing moves, thereby limiting the movement range of the movable housing. Therefore, the structure provided at the position between the two terminals as viewed from the first direction can limit the movement range of the movable housing. As a result, a movement restricting structure provided at another position becomes unnecessary, or the movement restricting structure provided at another position can be simplified.
[0009] Further, in the present aspect, the intermediate structure portion includes a partition wall disposed between two adjacent intermediate elastic portions. Therefore, the partition wall included in the intermediate structure portion can provide an insulation distance between two adjacent intermediate elastic portions.
[0010] In the embodiments described below, the fixed housing includes an intermediate structure portion having a partition wall, but the present aspect is not limited thereto. In the present aspect, the movable housing may include an intermediate structure portion having a partition wall. In the embodiments described below, the intermediate structure portion is configured to limit the movement ranges of the movable housing in the other side of the first direction and the third direction, but the present aspect is not limited thereto. The intermediate structure portion of the present aspect may limit the movement range in any one of the first direction, the second direction, and the third direction. In the embodiments described below, the first direction is perpendicular to the surface of the substrate as the object to be attached, but the present aspect is not limited thereto. The first direction of the present aspect may be, for example, parallel to the surface of the substrate as the object to be attached.
[0011] In the connector according to the 1-2nd aspect, in the 1-1st aspect, the fixed housing includes the intermediate structure portion.
[0012] In the present aspect, the fixed housing includes an intermediate structure portion. Therefore, compared with the aspect in which the movable housing includes an intermediate structure portion having a partition wall, the weight of the movable housing can be reduced.
[0013] In the connector according to the 1-3rd aspect, in the 1-2nd aspect, the movable housing is a recessed portion that is recessed in a third direction that is perpendicular to both the first direction and the second direction, and has a partition wall housing recess that can accommodate a part of the partition wall.
[0014] In the present aspect, the movable housing is a recessed portion that is recessed in the third direction and has a recess (partition wall housing recess) that can accommodate a part of the partition wall. Therefore, while ensuring the moving range of the movable housing in the third direction, the partition wall can be formed long in the third direction. If the partition wall can be formed long in the third direction, the insulation distance between the two intermediate elastic parts can be increased.
[0015] In the connector according to the first to fourth aspects, in the first to third aspects, when the movable housing moves in the third direction, the bottom surface of the partition wall housing recess contacts the partition wall.
[0016] In this aspect, when the movable housing moves in the third direction, the bottom surface of the partition wall housing recess contacts the partition wall. Therefore, the moving range of the movable housing in the third direction can be restricted by the partition wall of the intermediate structure part.
[0017] In the connector according to the first to fifth aspects, in any one of the first to first to fourth aspects, the intermediate structure part is a protruding part that protrudes from the partition wall in the second direction, and has a protruding part (second direction protruding part) that increases the insulation distance between the two intermediate elastic parts.
[0018] In this aspect, the intermediate structure part is a protruding part that protrudes from the partition wall in the second direction, and has a protruding part (second direction protruding part) that increases the insulation distance between the two intermediate elastic parts. Therefore, the insulation distance between the two intermediate elastic parts can be increased by the second direction protruding part.
[0019] In the connector according to the first to sixth aspects, in any one of the first to first to fifth aspects, the intermediate structure part is configured to limit the moving range of the movable housing to the other side in the first direction when the movable housing moves to the other side in the first direction, which is the anti-connection direction, by contacting the other one of the fixed housing and the movable housing.
[0020] In this aspect, the intermediate structure part is configured to limit the moving range of the movable housing to the other side in the first direction by contacting the other one of the fixed housing and the movable housing when the movable housing moves to the other side in the first direction, which is the anti-connection direction. Therefore, a structure (intermediate structure portion) provided at a position between two terminals as viewed from the first direction can limit the movement range of the movable housing in the reverse connection direction. As a result, with respect to the reverse connection direction, a movement restriction structure provided at another position may become unnecessary, or the movement restriction structure provided at another position can be simplified.
[0021] In addition, in the embodiments described below, the fixed housing includes an intermediate structure portion having a partition wall, but this aspect is not limited thereto. In this aspect, for example, the intermediate structure portion of the movable housing may include a partition wall, and may be configured such that when the movable housing moves to the other side in the first direction, which is the reverse connection direction, the partition wall abuts against the fixed housing.
[0022] In the connector according to Aspects 1-7, in any one of Aspects 1-1 to 1-5, the fixed housing includes the intermediate structure portion, the intermediate structure portion has a top wall, and the top wall is configured to limit the movement range of the movable housing to the other side in the first direction by abutting against the movable housing when the movable housing moves to the other side in the first direction, which is the reverse connection direction.
[0023] In this aspect, the fixed housing includes an intermediate structure portion having a top wall. The top wall is configured to limit the movement range of the movable housing to the other side in the first direction by abutting against the movable housing when the movable housing moves to the other side in the first direction, which is the reverse connection direction. Therefore, compared with the aspect in which the movable housing includes an intermediate structure portion having a partition wall, the weight of the movable housing can be reduced.
[0024] In the connector according to Aspect 1-8, in Aspect 1-7, the movable housing is a recess that is recessed on one side in the first direction and has a top wall accommodating recess capable of accommodating the top wall.
[0025] In this aspect, the movable housing is a recess that is recessed on one side in the first direction and has a recess (top wall accommodating recess) capable of accommodating the top wall. Therefore, it is easy to miniaturize the connector in the first direction.
[0026] In the connectors according to Aspects 1-9, in Aspects 1-6, the movement range of the movable housing in the second direction is 1 / 20 or less of the dimension of the connector in the second direction.
[0027] In this aspect, the movement range of the movable housing in the second direction is 1 / 20 or less of the dimension of the connector in the second direction. Therefore, it is difficult for the movable housing to rotate around the axis in the third direction.
[0028] In the connectors according to Aspects 1-10, in Aspects 1-6, the first-direction limiting structure configured to limit the movement range of the movable housing to the other side in the first direction is not provided at both ends of the housing portion in the second direction.
[0029] In this aspect, the first-direction limiting structure configured to limit the movement range of the movable housing to the other side in the first direction is not provided at both ends of the housing portion in the second direction. Therefore, the structure of the housing portion can be simplified.
[0030] In the connectors according to Aspects 1-11, in any of Aspects 1-1 to 1-10, as the terminal rows, a one-side terminal row on one side in the third direction and an other-side terminal row on the other side in the third direction are provided.
[0031] In this aspect, as the terminal rows, a one-side terminal row on one side in the third direction and an other-side terminal row on the other side in the third direction are provided. Therefore, it is easy to increase the number of terminals.
[0032] In the connectors according to Aspects 1-12, in Aspects 1-11, the fixed housing includes a one-side holding portion that holds the one-side terminal row and an other-side holding portion that holds the other-side terminal row, and the one-side holding portion and the other-side holding portion are connected in the third direction by the intermediate structure portion corresponding to the one-side terminal row and the intermediate structure portion corresponding to the other-side terminal row.
[0033] In this aspect, the fixed housing includes a one-side holding portion that holds a one-side terminal row and a the other-side holding portion that holds the other-side terminal row. The one-side holding portion and the other-side holding portion are connected in a third direction by an intermediate structure portion corresponding to the one-side terminal row and an intermediate structure portion corresponding to the other-side terminal row. Therefore, the strength of the fixed housing can be ensured.
[0034] The connector pair according to Aspects 1-13 includes a first connector and a second connector that is a connector according to any one of Aspects 1-1 to 1-12. The first connector includes a first terminal portion including a first terminal and a first housing portion. The second connector includes a second terminal portion that is the terminal portion and a second housing portion that is the housing portion. The first housing portion includes a first housing, and the first housing has a base portion and a protruding holding portion that protrudes from the base portion and holds the first terminal. The first terminal has a protruding portion that protrudes from the protruding holding portion. The second housing portion includes a second movable housing that is the movable housing, and the second movable housing has a holding portion housing recess that can house the protruding holding portion.
[0035] This aspect relates to a connector pair. In this aspect, the connector pair includes a first connector and a second connector that is a connector according to any one of Aspects 1-1 to 1-12. The first connector includes a first terminal portion including a first terminal and a first housing portion.
[0036] By the way, if the length of the protruding portion of the first terminal is long, the positional accuracy of the tip of the first terminal deteriorates or the natural frequency becomes low. Therefore, in this aspect, the first housing has a protruding holding portion, and the protruding holding portion protrudes from the base portion and holds the first terminal. Therefore, the length of the protruding portion of the first terminal can be shortened as compared with an aspect in which the first housing does not have the protruding holding portion.
[0037] Incidentally, when the length of the protruding portion of the first terminal is short, the effective fitting length becomes shorter compared to the case where the length of the protruding portion of the first terminal is long. Therefore, in this aspect, the second movable housing has a holding portion accommodating recess. The holding portion accommodating recess is a recess capable of accommodating the protruding holding portion. For this reason, the effective fitting length can be made longer compared to an aspect in which the second movable housing does not have the holding portion accommodating recess.
[0038] Note that the term "connector" in the "first connector" of this aspect does not have a limiting meaning. That is, the "first connector" of this aspect widely includes components, devices, etc. that can be electrically connected to the second connector. For example, the first connector of this aspect may be an IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) or a MOSFET (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor).
[0039] In the connector pair according to the 1st - 14th aspects, in the 1st - 13th aspects, the holding portion accommodating recess of the second movable housing is open in a second direction which is a direction perpendicular to the connection direction.
[0040] In this aspect, the holding portion accommodating recess of the second movable housing is open in a second direction which is a direction perpendicular to the connection direction. For this reason, the protruding holding portion can be formed large in that direction (second direction). In other words, when the protruding holding portion is formed large in the second direction, the second connector can be miniaturized in the second direction.
[0041] In the connector pair according to the 1st - 15th aspects, in the 1st - 14th aspects, the second fixed housing which is the fixed housing has a holding portion accommodating recess capable of accommodating the protruding holding portion.
[0042] In this aspect, the second fixed housing which is the fixed housing has a holding portion accommodating recess capable of accommodating the protruding holding portion. Therefore, the protruding holding portion can be formed large in the said direction (second direction). In other words, when the protruding holding portion is formed large in the second direction, the second connector can be miniaturized in the second direction.
[0043] (Second aspect) The connector pair according to the second - 1 aspect is a connector pair including a first connector and a second connector. The first connector includes a first terminal portion including a first terminal and a first housing portion. The second connector includes a second terminal portion and a second housing portion. The first housing portion includes a first housing, and the first housing has a base portion and a protruding holding portion protruding from the base portion and holding the first terminal. The first terminal has a protruding portion protruding from the protruding holding portion. The second housing portion includes a second housing, and the second housing has a holding portion housing recess capable of housing the protruding holding portion.
[0044] This aspect relates to a connector pair. In this aspect, the connector pair includes a first connector and a second connector. The first connector includes a first terminal portion including a first terminal and a first housing portion. The second connector includes a second terminal portion and a second housing portion. The first housing portion includes a first housing. The second housing portion includes a second housing.
[0045] By the way, if the length of the protruding portion of the first terminal is long, the positional accuracy of the tip of the first terminal deteriorates or the natural frequency becomes low. Therefore, in this aspect, the first housing has a protruding holding portion. The protruding holding portion protrudes from the base portion and holds the first terminal. For this reason, compared with the aspect where the first housing does not have the protruding holding portion, the length of the protruding portion of the first terminal can be shortened.
[0046] By the way, when the length of the protruding portion of the first terminal is short, the effective fitting length becomes shorter compared with the case where the length of the protruding portion of the first terminal is long. Therefore, in this aspect, the second housing has a holding portion receiving recess. The holding portion receiving recess is a recess capable of receiving the protruding holding portion. For this reason, compared with the aspect where the second housing does not have the holding portion receiving recess, the effective fitting length can be increased.
[0047] Note that the term "connector" in the "first connector" of this aspect does not have a limiting meaning. Note that in the embodiments described later, the first terminal portion includes a plurality of first terminals, but this aspect is not limited thereto. The first terminal portion of this aspect may be composed of one first terminal.
[0048] In the connector pair according to the second - 2 aspect, in the second - 1 aspect, the holding portion receiving recess is open in a direction perpendicular to the connection direction.
[0049] In this aspect, the holding portion receiving recess is open in a direction perpendicular to the connection direction. For this reason, the protruding holding portion can be formed larger in that direction.
[0050] In the connector pair according to the second - 3 aspect, in the second - 2 aspect, the second housing portion includes a second fixed housing and a second movable housing as the second housing movable with respect to the second fixed housing, and the second fixed housing has a holding portion receiving recess capable of receiving the protruding holding portion.
[0051] In this aspect, the second housing portion includes a second fixed housing and a second movable housing as the second housing movable with respect to the second fixed housing. And the second fixed housing has a holding portion receiving recess capable of receiving the protruding holding portion. Therefore, the protruding holding portion can be formed large in the said direction.
[0052] In the connector pair according to the second to fourth aspects, in any of the second to first to second to third aspects, the second housing portion includes a second fixed housing and a second movable housing as the second housing movable with respect to the second fixed housing. The second movable housing has a guiding surface for guiding the protruding portion of the first terminal, and a holding portion accommodating recess is formed by the guiding surface.
[0053] In this aspect, the second housing portion includes a second fixed housing and a second movable housing that is a second housing movable with respect to the second fixed housing. The second movable housing has a guiding surface for guiding the protruding portion of the first terminal. A holding portion accommodating recess is formed by the guiding surface. Therefore, the protruding portion of the first terminal can be brought into contact with the guiding surface of the second movable housing to move the second movable housing. Further, the space formed by forming the guiding surface can be used as the holding portion accommodating recess.
[0054] Note that in the embodiments described later, the second terminal has an intermediate elastic portion that allows the movement of the movable housing, but the second terminal in this aspect is not limited thereto. The second terminal does not have to have an intermediate elastic portion as long as it has another structure for allowing the movement of the movable housing.

The fixed-side held part 42 has a base part 42a and a press-fitting protruding part 42b. The base part 42a is substantially rectangular with its longitudinal direction in the terminal width direction. The press-fitting protruding part 42b protrudes upward from the center position in the width direction of the base part 42a.
[0093] The intermediate elastic part 43 is composed of two branch parts 43a. The two branch parts 43a extend upward from the base part 42a in the terminal direction. The two branch parts 43a have a symmetrical structure in the terminal width direction. Therefore, the two branch parts 43a have the same structure as each other.
[0094] The movable-side held part 44 is held by the movable housing 60 by press-fitting. The press-fitting direction of the movable-side held part 44 with respect to the movable housing 60 is the upward direction in the terminal. The movable-side held part 44 is flat and has its plate thickness direction oriented in the terminal front-rear direction. Protrusions are formed on the end faces on the outer sides in the width direction of the movable-side held part 44.
[0095] The contact part 45 is composed of a plurality (two) of contact pieces 45a. The contact piece 45a is bent so as to be folded back to the front side of the terminal after extending upward from the movable-side held part 44 in the terminal direction. In the bent part, the extension direction of the contact part 45 is reversed in the terminal up-down direction. And it contacts the contact part 13 on the tip side of the bent part. As a result, the contact position between the contact part 45 and the contact object (contact part 13) is below the upper end of the intermediate elastic part 43.
[0096] (Fixed housing 50) Figures 6 and 7 show the fixed housing 50.
[0097] The fixed housing 50 has a pair of outer side walls 51 in the width direction, a plurality (4) of first extending portions 52 in the width direction, a plurality (4) of second extending portions 53 in the width direction, a plurality (4) of holding walls 54, a plurality (2) of partition walls 55, and a top wall 56.
[0098] The outer side walls 51 in the width direction are located at the outer ends of the fixed housing 50 in the width direction.
[0099] The first extending portion 52 in the width direction extends in the width direction of the connector. The first extending portion 52 in the width direction connects the outer side wall 51 in the width direction and the partition wall 55 in the width direction of the connector. The first extending portion 52 in the width direction is located at the outer end of the fixed housing 50 in the Y direction.
[0100] The second extending portion 53 in the width direction extends in the width direction of the connector. The second extending portion 53 in the width direction connects the outer side wall 51 in the width direction and the partition wall 55 in the width direction of the connector. The second extending portion 53 in the width direction is located above the first extending portion 52 in the width direction. The upper surface of the second extending portion 53 in the width direction is located at the upper end of the fixed housing 50.
[0101] The holding wall 54 holds the fixed-side held portion 42 of the second terminal 40. The holding wall 54 connects the first extending portion 52 in the width direction and the second extending portion 53 in the width direction in the vertical direction of the connector. Open windows in the front-rear direction are formed on both sides in the width direction of the holding wall 54. By forming the open windows in the front-rear direction, when the second connector 200 is viewed from the front-rear direction of the connector, a part of the second terminal 40 is not covered by the fixed housing 50. Thereby, the heat from the second terminal 40 is easily dissipated. The press-fitting protrusion 42b of the second terminal 40 is press-fitted into the holding wall 54. Also, a part of the base portion 42a of the second terminal 40 is sandwiched between the holding wall 54 and the first extending portion 52 in the width direction.
[0102] The partition wall 55 is located between two adjacent intermediate elastic parts 43 in the width direction (X direction, second direction). Thereby, the partition wall 55 prevents a short circuit between two adjacent intermediate elastic parts 43 in the X direction. Specifically, the partition wall 55 functions to create an insulation distance between two adjacent intermediate elastic parts 43 in the X direction. The wall thickness direction of the partition wall 55 faces the connector width direction. The partition wall 55 is substantially quadrilateral. The inner end portion of the partition wall 55 in the Y direction is located more inward in the Y direction than the inner end portion of the second width direction extending portion 53 in the Y direction.
[0103] The top wall 56 connects a pair of partition walls 55 facing each other in the Y direction in the Y direction. The top wall 56 has a shape extending in a direction perpendicular to the Z direction from the upper end of the partition wall 55.
[0104] The top wall 56 has a pair of end portions 56a constituting the outer portion of the top wall 56 in the Y direction and a central portion 56b constituting the central portion of the top wall 56 in the Y direction.
[0105] The central portion 56b has a smaller dimension in the width direction than the pair of end portions 56a. Thereby, interference between the top wall 56 and the second connector 200 is prevented.
[0106] The end portion 56a of the top wall 56 is provided above the portion that protrudes inward in the Y direction with respect to the second width direction extending portion 53 of the partition wall 55. The central portion 56b of the top wall 56 is provided above the portion between a pair of partition walls 55 facing each other in the Y direction. The dimension of the end portion 56a of the top wall 56 in the arrangement direction (second direction, X direction) is larger than the dimension of the partition wall 55 in the arrangement direction. Thereby, a part of the end portion 56a of the top wall 56 (sometimes referred to as the second direction protruding portion 56a) has a structure protruding in the X direction (second direction) from the partition wall 55. By increasing the X direction dimension of the end portion 56a of the top wall 56 of the fixed housing 50, an insulation distance between two adjacent second terminals 40 can be created.
[0107] The lower surface of the top wall 56 is located above the lower surface of the second width direction extending portion 53.
[0108] The top wall 56 is configured such that when the movable housing 60 moves upward (in the anti-connection direction, +Z direction), the movable housing 60 abuts against it. Thereby, the top wall 56 restricts the movement of the movable housing 60 in the anti-connection direction (+Z direction). Specifically, the lower surface of the top wall 56 of the fixed housing 50 abuts against the bottom surface of the top wall housing recess 66 (see FIG. 8) of the movable housing 60.
[0109] The second width-direction extending portion 53 is configured such that when the movable housing 60 moves in the Y direction, the movable housing 60 abuts against it (see FIG. 9). Thereby, the second width-direction extending portion 53 restricts the movement of the movable housing 60 in the Y direction. Also, the partition wall 55 is configured such that when the movable housing 60 moves in the Y direction, the movable housing 60 abuts against it (see FIG. 11). Thereby, the partition wall 55 restricts the movement of the movable housing 60 in the Y direction. Specifically, the partition wall 55 abuts against the bottom surface of the partition wall housing recess 65 of the movable housing 60.
[0110] When the movable housing 60 moves downward, a part of the movable housing 60 abuts against the surface of the second substrate 92. That is, the second substrate 92 restricts the downward movement of the movable housing 60.
[0111] When the movable housing 60 moves in the X direction, a part of the movable housing 60 abuts against the width-direction outer wall 51. Thereby, the width-direction outer wall 51 restricts the movement of the movable housing 60 in the X direction. Specifically, the width-direction outer wall 51 has a protruding abutting portion 51b that protrudes inward in the X direction. The protruding abutting portion 51b extends in the vertical direction. The width-direction side surface 60c of the movable housing 60 abuts against the protruding abutting portion 51b.
[0112] In this embodiment, when the movable housing 60 moves in the X direction from the normal position, since the movable housing 60 abuts against the width-direction outer wall 51, the side surface of the partition wall housing recess 65 of the movable housing 60 does not abut against the side surface of the partition wall 55 of the fixed housing 50.
[0113] The fixed housing 50 has a holding portion receiving recess 51a capable of receiving the protruding holding portion 22 of the first connector 100. The holding portion receiving recess 51a is formed in the outer wall 51 in the width direction. The bottom surface of the holding portion receiving recess 51a is located below the lower surface of the second width direction extending portion 53.
[0114] (Movable housing 60) As shown in FIG. 9, the movable housing 60 has a receiving space 61 for receiving the contact portion 45 of the second terminal 40.
[0115] The movable housing 60 has an insertion port 62 into which the contact portion 13 of the first terminal 10 is inserted. The insertion port 62 has a shape that is long in the connector width direction (X direction) when viewed from the connector upward direction. The length in the longitudinal direction of the insertion port 62 is a length with a margin with respect to the length in the same direction of the contact portion 13. Thereby, displacement of the contact portion 13 in the connector width direction is allowed.
[0116] One insertion port 62 is provided for a pair of second terminals 40 facing each other in the inter-column direction. The contact portion 45 of the second terminal 40 on one side in the Y direction contacts the plate surface on one side in the Y direction of the contact portion 13, and the contact portion 45 of the second terminal 40 on the other side in the Y direction contacts the plate surface on the other side in the Y direction of the contact portion 13.
[0117] The movable housing 60 has a guiding surface 63 for guiding the object to be contacted (contact portion 13) into the insertion port 62. The guiding surface 63 is provided on both sides in the Y direction with respect to the insertion port 62 and is inclined in the direction of guiding the object to be contacted (contact portion 45) into the insertion port 62 in the Y direction. A holding portion receiving recess 67 is formed between the pair of guiding surfaces 63 provided on both sides in the Y direction. The holding portion receiving recess 67 is a recess capable of receiving the protruding holding portion 22 of the first connector 100 (see FIGS. 9 and 10).
[0118] The movable housing 60 has an upper open window 64. The receiving space 61 is open upward through the upper open window 64. The upper open window 64 contributes to exhaust heat.
[0119] (Partition housing recess 65) The movable housing 60 has a partition housing recess 65 capable of accommodating the partition wall 55 of the fixed housing 50. Thereby, while ensuring the movable range of the connector in the front-rear direction (Y direction) of the movable housing 60, the partition wall 55 can be formed larger inward in the Y direction. By forming the partition wall 55 larger inward in the Y direction, the insulation distance between two adjacent second terminals 40 in the X direction can be obtained.
[0120] The partition housing recess 65 is a recess in which the side surface of the movable housing 60 in the Y direction is recessed inward in the Y direction. The partition housing recess 65 is open in the vertical direction.
[0121] As shown in FIG. 11, in the normal state, a part of the partition wall 55 is accommodated in the partition housing recess 65. Note that the normal state means a state in which no external force is applied to the second terminal 40 and the movable housing 60.
[0122] (Ceiling wall housing recess 66) The movable housing 60 has a ceiling wall housing recess 66 capable of accommodating the ceiling wall 56 of the fixed housing 50. Thereby, while ensuring the movable range of the connector in the front-rear direction (Y direction) of the movable housing 60, the second connector 200 can be miniaturized in the vertical direction.
[0123] In the ceiling wall housing recess 66, the upper surface of the movable housing 60 is recessed downward. When the movable housing 60 moves upward, the bottom surface of the ceiling wall housing recess 66 of the movable housing 60 abuts against the lower surface of the ceiling wall 56 of the fixed housing 50. The bottom surface of the ceiling wall housing recess 66 is a plane whose normal direction is upward. In the normal state, a part of the end portion 56a of the ceiling wall 56 of the fixed housing 50 is disposed in the ceiling wall housing recess 66 of the movable housing 60.
[0124] The dimension of the ceiling wall housing recess 66 in the X direction is larger than the dimension of the partition housing recess 65 in the X direction. The dimension of the partition housing recess 65 in the X direction is smaller than the dimension of the end portion 56a of the ceiling wall 56 of the fixed housing 50 in the X direction.
[0125] When the movable housing 60 moves in the X direction, the side surface 60c in the width direction of the movable housing 60 abuts against the outer wall 51 in the width direction of the fixed housing 50. As a result, the movement range of the movable housing 60 outward in the X direction is restricted.
[0126] The side surfaces 60c in the width direction of the movable housing 60 are located at both ends of the movable housing 60 in the X direction. In other words, the movable housing 60 does not have a portion protruding outward in the X direction from the side surfaces 60c in the width direction.
[0127] FIG. 12 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing the structure in which the movable-side held portion 44 of the second terminal 40 is held (an enlarged view of the portion surrounded by the dotted line in FIG. 11). The movable housing 60 has a convex portion 69 that contacts the movable-side held portion 44 of the second terminal 40 from one side in the plate thickness direction. The convex portion 69 extends in the vertical direction. A pair of convex portions 69 are formed. As a result, the convex portion 69 functions to press the movable-side held portion 44 toward the other side in the plate thickness direction. As a result, the positional accuracy of the movable-side held portion 44 is improved.
[0128] <Function and Effect> Next, the function and effect of the present embodiment will be described.
[0129] In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 4, the connector 200 includes a terminal portion 40 and housing portions 50 and 60. The terminal portion 40 includes a terminal row 40A. The terminal row 40A includes two terminals 40 and 40 adjacent to each other in a second direction (X direction) that is perpendicular to one side (-Z direction) in a first direction, which is the connection direction to which the connection object 100 (first connector 100) is connected. The housing portions 50 and 60 include a fixed housing 50 fixed to the attachment object 92 and a movable housing 60 movable with respect to the fixed housing 50. Each of the two terminals 40 and 40 has an intermediate elastic portion 43 that allows the movement of the movable housing 60.
[0130] In addition, in the present embodiment, one of the fixed housing 50 and the movable housing 60 (the fixed housing 50) includes intermediate structure portions 55 and 56. The intermediate structure portions 55 and 56 are provided at positions between the two terminals 40 and 40 as viewed from the first direction (Z direction). And the intermediate structure portions 55 and 56 are configured to abut against the other of the fixed housing 50 and the movable housing 60 (the movable housing 60) when the movable housing 60 moves, and limit the movement range of the movable housing 60. Therefore, the movement range of the movable housing 60 can be limited by the structure (the intermediate structure portions 55 and 56) provided at the position between the two terminals 40 and 40 as viewed from the first direction (Z direction). As a result, a movement limiting structure provided at another position becomes unnecessary, or the movement limiting structure provided at another position can be simplified.
[0131] In addition, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 11, the intermediate structure portions 55 and 56 include a partition wall 55 disposed between two adjacent intermediate elastic portions 43 and 43. Therefore, the partition wall 55 included in the intermediate structure portions 55 and 56 can provide an insulation distance between the two adjacent intermediate elastic portions 43 and 43.
[0132] In addition, in the present embodiment, the fixed housing 50 includes the intermediate structure portions 55 and 56. Therefore, the movable housing 60 can be lightened as compared with an aspect in which the movable housing 60 includes the intermediate structure portions 55 and 56 including the partition wall 55.
[0133] In addition, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 11, the movable housing 60 has a recess that is recessed in the third direction (Y direction), and has a recess (partition wall accommodating recess 65) capable of accommodating a part of the partition wall 55. Therefore, while ensuring the movement range of the movable housing 60 in the third direction (Y direction), the partition wall 55 can be formed long in the third direction (Y direction). When the partition wall 55 can be formed long in the third direction (Y direction), an insulation distance between the two intermediate elastic portions 43 and 43 can be provided.
[0134] Further, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 11, when the movable housing 60 moves in the third direction (Y direction), the bottom surface of the partition housing recess 65 abuts against the partition wall 55. Therefore, the movement range of the movable housing 60 in the third direction (Y direction) can be restricted by the partition wall 55 of the intermediate structure portions 55, 56.
[0135] Further, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 7, the intermediate structure portions 55, 56 are projecting portions that project from the partition wall 55 in the second direction (X direction), and have a projecting portion (second direction projecting portion 56a) that provides an insulating distance between the two intermediate elastic portions 43, 43. Therefore, the second direction projecting portion 56a can provide an insulating distance between the two intermediate elastic portions 43, 43.
[0136] Further, in the present embodiment, the intermediate structure portions 55, 56 are configured to restrict the movement range of the movable housing 60 in the other side (+Z direction) of the first direction, which is the anti-connection direction, by abutting against the other one (the movable housing 60) of the fixed housing 50 and the movable housing 60 when the movable housing 60 moves in the other side (+Z direction) of the first direction. Therefore, the structure (intermediate structure portions 55, 56) provided at the position between the two terminals 40, 40 as viewed from the first direction (Z direction) can restrict the movement range of the movable housing 60 in the anti-connection direction. As a result, a movement restriction structure provided at another position becomes unnecessary or the movement restriction structure provided at another position can be simplified with respect to the anti-connection direction.
[0137] Further, in the present embodiment, the fixed housing 50 includes the intermediate structure portions 55, 56 having the top wall 56. The top wall 56 is configured to restrict the movement range of the movable housing 60 in the other side (+Z direction) of the first direction, which is the anti-connection direction, by abutting against the movable housing 60 when the movable housing 60 moves in the other side (+Z direction) of the first direction. Therefore, the movable housing 60 can be lightened as compared with the aspect in which the movable housing 60 includes the intermediate structure portions 55, 56 including the partition wall 55.
[0138] Further, in the present embodiment, the movable housing 60 has a recess that is recessed on one side in the first direction (-Z direction), and the recess (the top wall housing recess 66) capable of accommodating the top wall 56. Therefore, it is easy to miniaturize the connector 200 in the first direction.
[0139] Further, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 11, the movement range of the movable housing 60 in the second direction (X direction) is 1 / 20 or less of the dimension of the connector 200 in the second direction. Therefore, it is difficult for the movable housing 60 to rotate around the axis in the third direction (Y direction).
[0140] Further, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 4, the first direction limiting structure configured to limit the movement range of the movable housing 60 to the other side in the first direction (the anti-connection direction, +Z direction) is not provided at both ends of the housing parts 50 and 60 in the second direction (X direction). Therefore, the structure of the housing parts 50 and 60 can be simplified.
[0141] Further, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 4, as the terminal row, one-side terminal row 40A on one side in the third direction and the other-side terminal row 40B on the other side in the third direction are provided. Therefore, it is easy to increase the number of terminals 40.
[0142] Further, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 6, the fixed housing 50 includes one-side holding parts 52, 53, 54 that hold the one-side terminal row 40A and the other-side holding parts 52, 53, 54 that hold the other-side terminal row 40B. And the one-side holding parts 52, 53, 54 and the other-side holding parts 52, 53, 54 are connected in the third direction (Y direction) by the intermediate structure parts 55, 56 corresponding to the one-side terminal row 40A and the intermediate structure parts 55, 56 corresponding to the other-side terminal row 40B. Therefore, the strength of the fixed housing 50 can be ensured.
[0143] Next, the operation and effect of the present embodiment will be described from another viewpoint.
[0144] In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 9, the connector pair 100, 200 includes a first connector 100 and a second connector 200. As shown in FIG. 2, the first connector 100 includes a first terminal portion 10 including first terminals 10 and a first housing portion 20. As shown in FIG. 4, the second connector 200 includes a second terminal portion 40 and second housing portions 50, 60. The first housing portion 20 includes a first housing 20. The second housing portions 50, 60 include a second housing 60.
[0145] By the way, if the length of the protruding portion 13 of the first terminal 10 (the portion of the first terminal 10 protruding from the first housing 20) is long, the positional accuracy of the tip of the first terminal 10 deteriorates, or the natural frequency becomes low. Therefore, in this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 9, the first housing 20 has a protruding holding portion 22. The protruding holding portion 22 protrudes from a base portion 21 and holds the first terminal 10. For this reason, the length of the protruding portion 13 of the first terminal 10 can be made shorter as compared with a mode in which the first housing 20 does not have the protruding holding portion 22.
[0146] By the way, when the length of the protruding portion 13 of the first terminal 10 is short, the effective fitting length becomes shorter as compared with the case where the length of the protruding portion 13 of the first terminal 10 is long. Therefore, in this embodiment, the second housing 60 has a holding portion accommodating recess 67. The holding portion accommodating recess 67 is a recess capable of accommodating the protruding holding portion 22 (see FIGS. 9 and 10). For this reason, the effective fitting length can be made longer as compared with a mode in which the second housing 60 does not have the holding portion accommodating recess 67.
[0147] Further, in this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 8, the holding portion accommodating recess 67 is open in a direction (X direction) perpendicular to the connection direction. For this reason, the protruding holding portion 22 can be formed large in the direction (X direction).
[0148] Also, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 4, the second housing portions 50 and 60 include a second fixed housing 50 and a second movable housing 60 that is movable relative to the second fixed housing 50. And the second fixed housing 50 has a holding portion housing recess 51a that can accommodate the protruding holding portion 22. Therefore, the protruding holding portion 22 can be formed larger in the said direction (X direction).
[0149] 〔Supplementary Explanation of the Above Embodiment〕 As described above, the preferred embodiments of the connector of the present disclosure have been described, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto. The following description is a supplementary explanation for the sake of caution.
[0150] In the above embodiment, the terminal is held in the housing by press-fitting, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto. The terminal may be held in the housing by insert molding.
[0151] Note that the protruding holding portion 22 of the above embodiment is formed so as to surround a part of the first terminal 10 from four directions of the ±X direction and the ±Y direction. However, the first terminal 10 is in strict contact with the protruding holding portion 22 only on the +Y direction side surface of the first terminal 10 (see FIG. 9). Specifically, the press-fitting hole for press-fitting the first terminal 10 formed in the fixed housing 20 has a structure for pressing the +Y direction side surface of the first terminal 10 against the wall surface of the press-fitting hole of the fixed housing 20. Note that since such a structure (hereinafter, the pressing structure) is a known structure, a detailed description thereof is omitted. In the above embodiment, since the protruding holding portion 22 is formed so as to surround a part of the first terminal 10 from four directions of the ±X direction and the ±Y direction, it is easy to form the pressing structure. However, the protruding holding portion of the present disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0152] In the above embodiment, when the first connector 100 and the second connector 200 are brought closer in the connection direction (Z direction) from the state shown in FIG. 9, if there is a positional deviation in the direction perpendicular to the connection direction (Y direction), the contact portion 13 of the first terminal 10 abuts on the movable housing 60 of the second connector 200 to move the movable housing 60. Thereby, the positional deviation is absorbed. That is, the connector pair 100, 200 of the above embodiment does not have a structure for absorbing positional deviation by abutting the housing portions of each other. For this reason, it is easy to miniaturize each of the connectors 100 and 200. However, the connector pair of the present disclosure is not limited to this.
[0153] In the above embodiment, when the movable housing 60 moves in the X direction from the normal position, since the movable housing 60 abuts on the outer wall 51 in the width direction, the side surface of the partition housing recess 65 of the movable housing 60 does not abut on the side surface of the partition 55 of the fixed housing 50. However, when the movable housing 60 moves in the X direction from the normal position, the side surface of the partition housing recess 65 of the movable housing 60 may be configured to abut on the side surface of the partition 55 of the fixed housing 50.
