Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0004] The helmet disclosed in Patent Document 1 splits the split body, which is the top part of the helmet, from the base and deforms it between the use state and the storage state. However, there is a risk that the lock part of the cap body that is split in the use state may come off. In particular, in the event of an accident such as a user falling, the lock may accidentally come off, and there is a possibility that the split body, which is the top part, may rise up. Therefore, there has been a demand for a device that can prevent the split body, which is the top part, from accidentally coming off during use.
[0005] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a helmet that can store the split body of the helmet and prevent the split body from accidentally coming off during use. In addition, when the split body is used in a helmet with an inverted storage type, it is an object to provide a device suitable for storage.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0006] In order to solve the above problems, the split helmet of the present invention has a chin strap and divides a hat-like object into a lower base and a split body so that the usage state and the storage state can be deformed. In the split helmet, the chin strap is characterized by having a chin strap connection part connected to the split body.
[0007] Further, it is preferable that the chin strap is connected to the split body at the chin strap connection part below the vertical center position of the split body in a side view and passes through the inner surface side of the base in the usage state.
[0008] Further, the chin strap connection part preferably has a front chin strap connection part that is forward of the center position in the front-rear direction of the cap body and a rear chin strap connection part that is rearward on both sides, and the chin straps extending from the rear chin strap connection parts on both sides reach the opposite sides through the rear intersection part.
[0009] Further, it is preferable that the split helmet has an inversion storage mechanism that inverts the split body rotated upward by a horizontal first rotation axis around which the split body rotates in the vertical direction and a second rotation axis in a direction intersecting the first rotation axis so that it can be stored on the inner peripheral surface of the base.
[0010] Further, the base preferably consists of a base exterior part that supports the lower edge of the split body and a base interior part, and the base interior part has an inclined surface that slopes from the outside to the inside from above to below.
Effect of the Invention
[0011] According to the invention described in claim 1, by providing a chin strap connection part for attaching the chin strap to the split body, even if the lock accidentally comes off during use, the split body itself is tied to the user's head, and it becomes possible to maintain a state of protecting the top of the user's head.
[0012] According to the invention described in claim 2, since the jaw strap is connected below the divided body and passes through the inner surface side of the base, even if the lock between the base and the divided body is unexpectedly released during use, the divided body can maintain a state of protecting the user's top head regardless of the position or state of the base.
[0013] According to the invention described in claim 3, since the jaw straps cross at the rear, there is a rear strap that wraps around the back of the user's head, and it is possible to hold the helmet so that it does not fall off from behind the user during use.
[0014] According to the invention described in claim 4, even when used in an inversion storage type helmet, even if the lock of the divided body at the top head part is released, the state of protecting the user's top head can be maintained. Furthermore, since the divided body is reversibly stored, the jaw strap will face upward in the storage state. However, if the jaw strap is used to wrap around the base from the storage state, it can also be used as a holding member to maintain the storage state.
[0015] According to the invention described in claim 5, in a helmet in which the divided body can be lifted, inverted, and stored in the storage part of the base, an inclined surface that protrudes outward from top to bottom is formed in the base interior part of the base. By this, the divided body along this inclined surface can be stably stored.

Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[0017] Embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The split helmet 1 of the present embodiment is not an industrial helmet equipped with a hammock or a headband, but a sports helmet used when riding a bicycle or the like. Although not shown in the drawings, the base 2 may be provided with an adjuster for adjusting according to the user's head size. It may also be used for a security helmet equipped with a hammock or a headband.
[0018] The basic storage mode of the helmet 1 of the present embodiment will be described. As shown in FIGS. 1-4, the helmet 1 of the present embodiment is composed of a base 2 and a split body 3, which divides a single hat-shaped helmet vertically, with the lower part being the base 2 and the upper part being the split body 3.
[0019] The divided body 3 is not limited to that of this embodiment. When using a plurality of divided bodies above the base 2, or when dividing the portion from the occipital part to the vertex part separately from the temporal part, it may be acceptable. As long as it is a helmet in which a part is divided from the headband-shaped base 2, and the protective state of the head can be continued using the chin strap even if the helmet is unexpectedly unlocked during use.
[0020] The base 2 is formed in a headband shape or an annular shape, and has a space serving as a storage position S inside thereof (see Fig. 2). It has a base exterior part 11 made of a hard resin material that forms the outer shell of the base 2, and a base interior part 12 made of a cushioning material such as foamed resin inside the base exterior part 11. In this embodiment, although the base 2 itself is a single headband, those divided on both sides or other forms are not excluded.
[0021] The divided body 3 of this embodiment is in the form of a cap-shaped vertex part that curves outward (upward) as a whole, covers the forehead and vertex of the user in the use state, and is substantially semi-circular in side view. This substantially semi-circular shape is like a dish-shaped form obtained by cutting out about one-third of a sphere. It has a divided body exterior part 31 made of a hard resin material that forms the outer shell of the divided body 3, and a divided body interior part 32 made of a cushioning material such as foamed resin inside the divided body exterior part 31. The divided body exterior part 31 is in the form of a cap, but has a rear wall 33a in a form where the rear part rises steeply, and a divided body connection part 33b where the central part in the left-right direction of the rear wall 33a protrudes backward, and is connected to the rotation panel 4 described later.
[0022] The deformation of the divided body 3 of this embodiment between the divided state and the use state will be described. As shown in Fig. 5, the upper rear part of the base exterior part 11 of the headband-shaped base 2 has a notch part 13 that is cut out, and two rising parts 14, 14 that gradually rise from the upper edge of the base exterior part 11 toward both sides of this notch part 13 are formed. It has horizontal first rotation axes 15, 15 that protrude from the rising part side ends of these rising parts 14, 14.
[0023] As shown in Fig. 6, the rotating panel 4 has bearing holes 41, 41 for receiving the first rotating shafts 15, 15 of the base 2 at the base end side, and is rotatable up and down by the first rotating shafts 15, 15. Further, it has a second rotating shaft 42 protruding in the front-rear direction at the tip end side. The divided body connection portion 33b at the rear end of the divided body 3 is rotatably connected to this second rotating shaft 42 (see Fig. 7).
[0024] Since the first rotating shafts 15, 15 have the horizontal direction as the axial direction, the rotating panel 4 receiving the first rotating shafts 15, 15 can be rotated up and down, enabling the divided body 3 connected to the rotating panel 4 to stand up or be tilted from the standing state to the stored state or the used state. Also, since the second rotating shaft 42 has the front-rear direction as the axial direction, it is possible to rotate the divided body 3 receiving the second rotating shaft 42 to turn it upside down.
[0025] Thereby, the divided body 3 can be rotated by the first rotating shafts 15, 15 to be lifted up (see Fig. 2), and the lifted divided body 3 can be inverted so as to be upside down by the second rotating shaft 42 (see Fig. 3). Then, from the state where the divided body 3 is inverted, by further rotating the divided body 3 in the direction opposite to the rising direction with the first rotating shafts 15, 15 as the fulcrum, the divided body 3 can be stored in the storage position S of the base 2 (see Fig. 4).
[0026] Next, the chin strap 5 of the present embodiment will be described. As shown in Figs. 7 - 11, the chin strap 5 of the present embodiment is connected to the divided body 3, hangs down from the divided body 3, passes through the inner surface side of the base 2, and reaches below the divided helmet 1. In the used state, the chin strap 5 is passed under the chin with the user wearing the divided helmet 1 on the head. Even if the locked state between the divided body 3 and the base 2 is unexpectedly released due to an impact such as a fall, the divided body 3 can be positioned on the user's head and crown, and the state of protecting the user's head and crown can be maintained as much as possible.
[0027] The specific form of the jaw strap 5 will be described. The jaw strap 5 of the present embodiment is arranged on both sides of the divided body 3, and is below the central position in the vertical direction in a side view, and is connected to the divided body 3 on the front side and the rear side respectively from the central position in the front-rear direction. The central position in the vertical direction is the line indicated by the virtual line X in FIG. 7, and the central position in the front-rear direction is the line indicated by the virtual line Y.
[0028] More specifically, the front straps 5a, 5a of the jaw strap 5 have their proximal ends connected by the front jaw strap connection parts 51, 51 of the divided body 3, and the rear straps 5b, 5b of the jaw strap 5 have their proximal ends connected by the rear jaw strap connection parts 52, 52 of the divided body 3. These connections are such that the front straps 5a, 5a and the rear straps 5b, 5b are connected on the inner surface side of the divided body exterior part 31 and are connected by a fixture such as a rivet from the outside of the divided body exterior part 31.
[0029] The front jaw strap connection parts 51, 51 are located on the front side in the front-rear direction in a side view, and are positioned more laterally than the two side dividing lines Z1, Z3 when three dividing lines Z1, Z2 (intermediate line), Z3 are drawn vertically so as to divide the front view (see FIG. 8) into four parts. This position is near where the user's ears are.
[0030] The rear jaw strap connection parts 52, 52 are arranged on the rear face wall 33a which has a form of rising steeply rearward in the divided body 3, and are positioned on the two side dividing lines Z4, Z6 or slightly closer to the center when three dividing lines Z4, Z5 (intermediate line), Z6 are drawn vertically so as to divide the rear view (see FIG. 9) into four parts.
[0031] The tips of the front straps 5a, 5a and the rear straps 5b, 5b of the jaw strap 5 all pass through the inner surface side of the base 2 and reach below the base 2, and are connected by the front and rear strap connecting parts 53, 53. Further, the front straps 5a and the rear straps 5b on both sides are gathered so that they overlap with each other at the front and rear strap connecting parts 53, 53, and form a double lower strap 5c that spans from the front and rear strap connecting part 53 on one side to the front and rear strap connecting part 53 on the other side. By passing such a lower strap 5c under the user's chin, it becomes possible to maintain the state of passing through under the user's chin with the connecting parts 54, 54 at the tips. The connecting parts 54, 54 of the present embodiment are composed of a hook and a hook receiver, but other connecting means may also be used.
[0032] The front and rear strap connecting parts 53, 53 hang down from the reversible storage helmet so as to be positioned near the user's ears in the use state, but are not limited to such a form. Also, in the present embodiment, the front straps 5a, 5a and the rear straps 5b, 5b overlap doubly to form the lower straps 5c, 5c, but the front strap, rear strap, and lower strap may be separate straps.
[0033] Also, the rear straps 5b, 5b of the present embodiment do not extend from the rear side jaw strap connecting part 52 on one side to the front and rear strap connecting part 53 on the same side at the above position, but are connected to the front and rear strap connecting part 53 on the other side so as to pass near the user's occipital region. Also, they are connected from the rear side jaw strap connecting part 52 on the other side to the front and rear strap connecting part 53 on one side so as to pass near the user's occipital region. By doing so, the rear straps 5b, 5b are connected at the front and rear strap connecting parts 53 on the opposite side surfaces via the crossing part 55 where they cross on the user's occipital side. By having this crossing part 55 where they cross on the user's occipital side, it becomes possible to prevent the reversible storage helmet 1 from accidentally falling off from the back to the front.
[0034] The state in which the jaw strap 5 of the present embodiment functions as a holding member in the storage state when used in the helmet 1 that is divided into a reversible storage type will be described. In the use state, the jaw strap 5 is connected to the divided body 3 by the front side jaw strap connecting parts 51, 51 and the rear side jaw strap connecting parts 52, 52 as described above, hangs downward, and is positioned below the base 2.
[0035] As shown in FIG. 4, when the helmet 1 is reversely stored, since the split body 3 is reversed, the chin strap 5 is in a state where it can be opened upward. By passing the chin strap 5 over the outside of the base 2 from the reversely stored state and connecting it at the connecting portions 54, 54 of the lower strap 5c, it is possible to maintain the reversely stored state in a wrapping manner. When the split helmet is of the reverse storage type that reversely stores the split body in this way, it can function as a holding member for holding the stored state by the chin strap 5.
[0036] Next, the base 2 and the split body 3 in the stored state of the present embodiment will be described. As shown in FIGS. 11 and 12 in addition to FIGS. 2 and 3, the base 2 has a base intermediate portion 16 where the upper edge of the base exterior portion 11 protrudes inward, and a base interior portion 12 is disposed inside the base exterior portion 11. The base interior portion 12 is formed with an inclined surface 17 that inclines from the inner end of the base intermediate portion 16. The base interior portion 12 is made of a foamed resin for protecting the user's temporal region during use and is formed in a peripheral shape along the base exterior portion 11.
[0037] The base interior portion 12 is formed with an inclined surface 17 that inclines from the outside toward the inside in the vertical range from the upper edge of the base intermediate portion 16 to about the middle position in the vertical direction on the inner peripheral surface side, and a head inclined surface 18 that inclines from the inside toward the outside is formed from the lower end of the inclined surface 17. These inclined surfaces 17, 18 may not only be inclined linearly but also be curved.
[0038] The inclined surface 17 can support the outer surface of the divided body 3 during storage. The inclined surface 17 is at an angle along the shape of the divided body exterior part 31 of the divided body, and the inclined surface on the right side in the drawing in FIG. 12 is inclined at an angle of about 40 to 60 degrees. By supporting the divided body exterior part 31 of the divided body 3 by the inclined surface 17 in the reversible storage type divided helmet 1, in the conventional storage helmet, the outer surface might be damaged by vibrations caused by carrying or the like in the stored state. Having the inclined surface 17 as in this embodiment, when storing, the inclined surface 17 of the base interior part 12 made of foamed resin supports the divided body 3 from below, and having cushioning properties prevents the divided body 3 from being damaged. This enables the stable storage of the divided body 3, and if the chin strap 5 is used as a holding member, it is possible to prevent damage to the divided body 3 in the stored state and the like.
[0039] Next, a locking mechanism for engaging the divided body 3 with the base 2 in the use state will be described. In a divided body engaging piece 35 which protrudes downward and has an opening portion on the front side of the lower end edge 34 of the divided body 3, the key-shaped locking engaging piece 36 arranged on the base 2 engages to lock the use state. The lower end portion of the locking engaging piece 36 is exposed from the lower edge of the base 2, and by the user pushing out the lower end portion, the locking engaging piece 36 can swing to release the lock. Usually, a spring is arranged to bias the locked state.
