Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention
[0014] <First Embodiment> Hereinafter, a ball hitting practice device 100 including a ball hitting practice implement 10 according to a first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0015] As shown in FIG. 1, the ball hitting practice device 100 includes a ball hitting practice implement 10, support members 20, 30, 40, and a base 50.
[0016] The ball hitting practice implement 10 includes a ball holding portion 11 and an arm portion 12.
[0017] The ball holding portion 11 is a conical shape formed by winding a flexible sheet member in a tapered shape, and has an end portion 11a of the sheet member on the outer side. As the material of the sheet member, a sheet-like member made of a synthetic resin such as polyethylene, synthetic rubber, or vinyl chloride, or a flexible material such as rubber using natural rubber is used. Preferably, the friction coefficient is 1 or more. Note that the material of the sheet member may be any member as long as the friction coefficient is 1 or more. However, if the material has a friction coefficient of less than 1 before processing, the friction coefficient may be artificially improved by performing embossing or surface treatment on the inner surface when forming the ball holding portion 11. Thereby, the ball 60 set in the opening 15 is less likely to fall.
[0018] Further, the smaller diameter end portion of the conical ball holding portion 11 is supported by the arm portion 12. As a method of fixing the ball holding portion 11 to the arm portion 12, any method such as adhesive fixing or clamping fixing may be used. In the present embodiment, this is realized by winding the smaller diameter end portion of the ball holding portion 11 around the end portion of the arm portion 12 and clamping and fixing it with two hose bands 13a and 13b from the outside.
[0019] Further, an opening 15 is formed at an end of the ball holding portion 11 opposite to the end with the smaller diameter of the conical shape. Arc-shaped notches 15a and 15b are formed in the opening 15. Note that the notches 15a and 15b only need to be formed in a manner that makes it easier for a person performing batting practice to visually recognize the ball fitted in the opening 15, and either one of them may be sufficient.
[0020] Also, an annular member 14 that can be slid along the axial direction of the conical shape is provided in the middle portion of the conical shape of the ball holding portion 11. Since the inner diameter of the annular member 14 is formed smaller than the diameter of the opening 15 at the end with the larger diameter of the conical shape of the ball holding portion 11, the diameter of the opening 15 can be adjusted. Further, the annular member 14 may be a member that is relatively hard such as metal, but when it is a hard member, for a person performing batting practice, a fear due to the impact on the hand and arm that occurs when the bat touches the annular member 14 may occur, and it becomes impossible to make a good swing. Therefore, it is preferably a material that is relatively soft. In the present embodiment, a member made of a relatively soft material such as rubber is used.
[0021] The arm portion 12 is a tubular or rod-shaped member that supports the ball holding portion 11 at one end. Further, the other end of the arm portion 12 can be fixed to an external support member 20 via a shaft portion 21 so as to be rotatable. Thereby, the batting practice device 10 can be rotated about the shaft portion 21 in the direction of the dotted arrow shown in FIG. 1 and can be fixed at an arbitrary rotation position. For example, if the shaft portion 21 is a male screw and a hole portion (not shown) provided at the other end of the arm portion 12 is a female screw, the arm portion 12 can be fixed to the support member 20 by tightening the shaft portion 21, and the arm portion 12 can be rotated with respect to the support member 20 by loosening it.
[0022] The support member 20 has one end connected to the arm portion 12 via the shaft portion 21. At the other end of the support member 20, a pair of bolts 23, 24 are provided so as to be arranged in the axial direction and protrude. The bolts 23, 24 pass through the through holes provided in the plate member 22, and by tightening the nuts 25, 26 from the outside, the support member 30 is sandwiched between the plate member 22 and the support member 20, and the support member 20 is fixed to the support member 30. The support member 30 can be slid in the left - right direction in the plane of FIG. 1 and the plane of FIG. 2 with respect to the fixing jig 31 by loosening the screw portion 31a, and can be fixed so as not to slide with respect to the fixing jig 31 by tightening the screw portion 31a. The fixing jig 31 is fixed to one end of the support member 40, but may be provided rotatably around the axis of the support member 40. The other end of the support member 40 is fixed to the base 50.
[0023] As shown in FIG. 3, by setting the ball 60 in the opening 15, a person performing the hitting practice can perform the hitting practice in a state where the ball 60 is easily visible through the notch portion 15b.
[0024] Also, the annular member 14 can hold the conical shape of the ball holding portion 11 (in particular, when the ball 60 is set in the opening 15, it can prevent the opening 15 from expanding more than necessary). Therefore, as shown by the dotted - line arrow in FIG. 1, no matter at what angle the ball hitting practice device 10 is rotated about the shaft portion 21, it is possible to make it difficult for the ball 60 to fall. Also, by appropriately sliding the annular member 14 along the axial direction of the conical shape, the size of the opening 15 can be adjusted according to the size of the ball 60. Therefore, for example, no matter whether the ball 60 is a softball, a hard ball, a soft ball, a tennis ball, etc., the ball 60 can be held by the opening 15. That is, one ball hitting practice device 10 can be applied to the hitting practice of various types of balls.
[0025] Also, when the annular member 14 is made of a material with a relatively high coefficient of friction such as rubber, it is less likely to shift from the position where the annular member 14 was once attached to the ball holding portion 11 even after hitting practice. Therefore, it is not necessary to adjust the position of the annular member 14 every time hitting practice is performed.
[0026] The ball hitting practice device 10 can be attached not only to pipes of existing hitting practice stands, pipes for stretching a backstop net, etc., but also to various support members (tubular members and rod-shaped members with various cross-sectional shapes, etc.) regardless of the type of support member.
[0027] <Second Embodiment> Hereinafter, the ball hitting practice device 110 according to the second embodiment of the present invention and the ball hitting practice device 200 equipped with the ball hitting practice device 10 will be described with reference to FIG. 4. In this embodiment, since the reference numerals with the same last two digits as those in the first embodiment are the same, the description may be omitted. Also, regarding parts not particularly described, since they are the same as those in the first embodiment, the description may be omitted.
[0028] The ball hitting practice device 200 is different from the first embodiment in that the opening 115 of the ball hitting practice device 110 is provided so as to face downward in the initial state, and the support member 140 is formed longer than the support member 40 of the first embodiment.
[0029] According to the ball hitting practice device 200, not only can the same operational effects as those of the first embodiment be achieved, but also hitting practice of upper swings and level swings becomes easier than in the first embodiment.
[0030] <Third Embodiment> Hereinafter, a ball hitting practice device 210 according to a third embodiment of the present invention and a ball hitting practice device 300 including the ball hitting practice device 10 will be described with reference to FIG. 5. In the present embodiment, components having the same two-digit numbers as those in the first embodiment are the same, and thus the description thereof may be omitted. In addition, parts not particularly described are the same as those in the first embodiment, and thus the description thereof may be omitted.
[0031] The ball hitting practice device 300 is different from the first embodiment in that it does not have a support member similar to the support member 30 in the first embodiment, but instead attaches a support member 220 to a support member 240. The support member 220 is configured like the support member 30 in the first embodiment, and is configured such that the ball hitting practice device 210 can rotate about a shaft portion 221.
[0032] According to the ball hitting practice device 300, not only can the same operational effects as those in the first embodiment be achieved, but also hitting practice at various positions (from a lower course to a higher course) is easier than in the first and second embodiments.
[0033] The embodiments of the present invention have been described above, but these are merely examples, and do not particularly limit the present invention. Specific configurations and the like can be appropriately changed in design. In addition, the actions and effects described in the embodiments of the invention merely list the most suitable actions and effects resulting from the present invention, and the actions and effects according to the present invention are not limited to those described in the embodiments of the present invention. For example, the following modification examples can be cited. In each of the following modification examples, components having the same two-digit numbers as those in the first embodiment are the same, and thus the description thereof may be omitted. In addition, parts not particularly described are the same as those in the first embodiment, and thus the description thereof may be omitted.
[0034] <Modification Example 1> As shown in FIG. 6, this modification example is different from the first embodiment in that it includes two annular members 314A and 314B.
[0035] The annular member 314A is provided on the end side with the larger conical diameter of the ball holding portion 311, and the annular member 314B is provided on the end side with the smaller conical diameter of the ball holding portion 311. Thereby, the conical shape can be held more stably, and even after the hitting practice, the annular members 314A and 314B are less likely to deviate from the positions once attached to the ball holding portion 311. Therefore, compared with the first embodiment, it is not necessary to adjust the positions of the annular members 314A and 314B every time the hitting practice is performed.
[0036] <Modification 2> As shown in FIG. 7, in this modification, two notches (recesses) 411b and 411c are formed at the end 411a on the outer side (outer surface portion) of the sheet member forming the conical shape of the ball holding portion 411 (see the view before attaching the annular member 414 in FIG. 7(a)). The ball hitting practice device 10 of the first embodiment is different in that the annular member 414 is hooked so as to fit into one of the two notches 411b and 411c to hold the conical shape of the ball holding portion 411.
[0037] The diameter A of the opening 415 when the annular member 414 is hooked on the notch 411b to hold the conical shape of the ball holding portion 411 (see FIG. 7(b)) is smaller than the diameter B of the opening 415 when the annular member 414 is hooked on the notch 411c to hold the conical shape of the ball holding portion 411 (see FIG. 7(c)). Therefore, for example, when the annular member 414 is hooked on the notch 411c to hold the conical shape of the ball holding portion 411, it is for softballs, and when the annular member 414 is hooked on the notch 411b to hold the conical shape of the ball holding portion 411, it is for hard balls. By forming the notches 411b and 411c for each type of ball (diameter of the ball) to be used in the hitting practice, it is possible to prevent the deviation of the annular member 414 more effectively than in the above embodiments in the hitting practice for various types of balls with one ball hitting practice device 410.
[0038] <Modification 3> As shown in FIG. 8, in this modification, two notches 511b and 511c are formed at the outer end 511a of the sheet forming the conical shape of the ball holding portion 511 (see the figure before attaching the annular members 514A and 514B in FIG. 8(a)). The difference from Modification 1 lies in that the annular members 514A and 514B are respectively hooked on the two notches 511b and 511c to hold the conical shape of the ball holding portion 511 (for example, from the state in FIG. 8(b) to the state in FIG. 8(c) for use).
[0039] As a result, the annular members 514A and 514B hooked on the notches 511b and 511c respectively are less likely to shift than in the case of Modification 1. Therefore, it is not necessary to adjust the positions of the annular members 514A and 514B every time a hitting exercise is performed, as compared with Modification 1.
[0040] <Modification 4> As shown in FIG. 9, in this modification, three notches 611b, 611c, and 611d are formed at the outer end 611a of the sheet forming the conical shape of the ball holding portion 611 (see the figure before attaching the annular members 614A and 614B in FIG. 9(a)). The difference from Modification 2 lies in that the annular member 614A is hooked on either of the notches 611b and 611c, and the annular member 614B is hooked on the notch 611d to hold the conical shape of the ball holding portion 611.
[0041] The annular member 614A is provided in either of the notches 611b and 611c on the end side with the larger diameter of the conical shape of the ball holding portion 611, and the annular member 614B is provided in the notch 611d on the end side with the smaller diameter of the conical shape of the ball holding portion 611. As a result, the conical shape can be held more stably, and even after a hitting exercise, the annular members 614A and 614B are less likely to shift from the positions once attached to the ball holding portion 611. Therefore, it is not necessary to adjust the positions of the annular members 614A and 614B every time a hitting exercise is performed, as compared with Modification 2.
[0042] Also, the diameter C of the opening 615 (see Fig. 9(b)) when the annular member 614A is hooked on the notch 611b to hold the conical shape of the ball holding portion 611 is smaller than the diameter D of the opening 615 (see Fig. 9(c)) when the annular member 614A is hooked on the notch 611c to hold the conical shape of the ball holding portion 611. Therefore, for example, when the annular member 614A is hooked on the notch 611c to hold the conical shape of the ball holding portion 611, it is for a softball, and when the annular member 614A is hooked on the notch 611b to hold the conical shape of the ball holding portion 611, it is for a hard ball. By forming the notches 611b and 611c for each type of ball (diameter of the ball) to be used for batting practice, in one ball batting practice device 610, in the batting practice for various types of balls, the displacement of the annular members 614A and 614B can be prevented more effectively than in each of the above embodiments and the above modification examples.
[0043] <Modification Example 5> As shown in Fig. 10, in this modification example, the vicinity of the hose band 713a on the end side where the diameter of the conical shape is smaller than the center of the ball holding portion 711 is bent more easily by being clamped (pinched) in the radial direction by the clamping member 770. Here, Fig. 10(b) shows a state where the ball holding portion 711 in Fig. 10(a) is rotated 90° around the central axis and the ball 760 is set. Fig. 10(c) is a diagram showing a state when, after applying a strike in the direction of the white arrow in the state of Fig. 10(b), the vicinity of the portion clamped by the clamping member 770 in the ball holding portion 711 is bent.
[0044] The clamping member 770 includes, for example, a fastener as shown in Fig. 11. The clamping member 770 includes a rod-shaped first member 771 and a second member 772 rotatably connected to one end of the rod-shaped first member 771. A mooring portion 774 capable of mooring a rotating portion 773 rotatably provided at the other end of the second member 772 is provided at the other end of the first member 771. Note that the clamping member 770 is not limited to the one shown in Fig. 11, and any member having the same function as the clamping member 770 may be used.
