Abstract
To reduce a load of pairing work of a communication part and a key of a measurement part in a meter.SOLUTION: A communication device according to an embodiment is installed in a meter with a measurement part for acquiring measurement information of a prescribed physical amount to transmit a measurement result by the measurement part to an external device. A measurement part key update part executes measurement part ID acquisition processing for acquiring a measurement part ID from a second circuit of the measurement part by using a measurement part ID acquisition interface, measurement part key acquisition processing for acquiring a measurement part key being key information corresponding to the measurement part ID from a key management server by using a WAN communication interface, and key update processing for using the measurement part key to update the key information set in a first circuit of the measurement part by using the measurement part communication interface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
