Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a protector. [Background technology]
[0002] BACKGROUND ART Protectors (worn by baseball catchers) are generally known (see, for example, Patent Document 1). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] Patent No. 7066219 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] However, the protector described in Patent Document 1 has a completely flat (or curved) back surface, which traps heat between the protector and the body when worn, causing heatstroke in the summer. Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a protector that is breathable and can prevent heatstroke in the summer. [Means for solving the problem]
[0005] The protector of the present invention comprises a gap-forming band having a length dimension shorter than the left-right width dimension of the protector body, one end and the other end of the gap-forming band being fixed to the left edge and the right edge of the protector body, respectively. In addition, a plurality of the gap-forming strips are arranged vertically in parallel with gaps therebetween. In addition, a plurality of convex portions are arranged on the left and right and top and bottom of the front surface of the protector body, and the gaps between the adjacent gap-forming strips on the top and bottom correspond to the horizontal grooves in the left and right direction formed between the adjacent upper and lower convex portions at the same vertical positions. [Effects of the Invention]
[0006] The protector of the present invention has good breathability, can prevent heat stroke in summer, has good impact resistance, and is comfortable to wear. [Brief explanation of the drawings]

[0008] The present invention will be described in detail below based on the illustrated embodiments. 1 to 10 show a first embodiment of the present invention. The protector of the present invention is for a baseball catcher and comprises a gap-forming band 2. One end 3 and the other end 4 of the gap-forming band 2 are fixed to the left edge 5 and the right edge 6 of the protector body 1, respectively.
[0009] A plurality of gap-forming strips 2 are arranged vertically side by side with a gap 7 (see FIGS. 1 and 2) between them. For example, two gap-forming strips 2 (upper gap-forming strip 2A and lower gap-forming strip 2B) are arranged vertically side by side with a gap 7 between them.
[0010] As shown in Figures 3 to 5, the length dimension L of the gap-forming band 2 is shorter than the left-right width dimension W of the protector body 1 (in a free state before the gap-forming band 2 is sewn to the protector body 1). That is, the length dimension L1 of the upper gap-forming band 2A is shorter than the left-right width dimension W1 of the protector body 1 (in a free state) at the position corresponding to attachment of the upper gap-forming band. The length dimension L2 of the lower gap-forming band 2B is shorter than the left-right width W2 of the protector body 1 (in a free state) at the position corresponding to attachment of the lower gap-forming band.
[0011] As shown in Fig. 6, the gap-forming strip 2 has two ridges 10 on each side (in the vertical width direction). Specifically, as shown in Fig. 7, the gap-forming strip 2 is formed by sandwiching a base plate 13 between an outer fabric 11 and an inner fabric 12, with a (rod-shaped) core material 14 interposed between the base plate 13 and the outer fabric 11. It can be said that the ridges 10 are formed by the core material 14.
[0012] The outer fabric 11 and the inner fabric 12 are made of, for example, nylon, polyester, etc. The base plate portion 13 is made of, for example, plastic. The core material 14 is made of, for example, polyurethane foam.
[0013] As shown in Figures 1, 2 and 8, the gap-forming band 2 is fixed (sewn) to the protector main body 1. Specifically, the protrusions 10 are arranged so as to protrude forward. The protrusions 10 approach or abut the back surface 15 of the protector main body 1. Figures 9 and 10 show the protector when worn. A ventilation gap T is formed between the protector main body 1 and the body B, and between the protector main body 1 and the gap-forming band 2. In addition, the protector main body 1 is rounded, providing a comfortable fit to the body B as a whole.
[0014] As shown in Figures 1, 2, and 10, a plurality of convex portions 8 are arranged on the left and right and top and bottom on the front surface of the protector body 1. The gaps 7 between adjacent gap-forming strips 2, 2 correspond to horizontal grooves 9 in the left-right direction formed between adjacent upper and lower convex portions 8, at the same vertical position. As shown by arrow Y1 in Figure 10, ventilation is possible in the vertical direction, and also in the left-right direction as shown by arrow Y2 in Figure 10.
[0015] 11 to 13 show the second embodiment. The gap forming strip 2 has one protrusion 10 on each side (in the vertical width direction). The other configurations are the same as those of the first embodiment.
[0016] Figure 14 shows a third embodiment. The protrusions 10 are arranged so as to protrude rearward. The protrusions 10 approach or abut against the body B, forming a ventilation gap T between the gap-forming band 2 and the body B. The other configurations are the same as those of the first embodiment.
[0017] Figure 15 shows a fourth embodiment. The gap-forming band 2 has one protrusion 10 on each side (in the vertical width direction). The protrusions 10 are arranged so as to protrude rearward. The protrusions 10 approach or abut against the body B, forming a ventilation gap T between the gap-forming band 2 and the body B. The remaining configuration is the same as in the first embodiment.
[0018] 16 shows a fifth embodiment. The gap forming strip 2 does not have the ridges 10. In other words, it does not have the core material 14. The other configurations are the same as those of the first embodiment.
[0019] The present invention is open to design modifications. For example, three gap-forming strips 2 may be arranged vertically in a row. Alternatively, there may be only one gap-forming strip 2. The shape and number of the ribs 10 may be freely modified. For example, the ribs 10 may be substantially cubic. In other words, the vertical rod-shaped ribs 10 may be divided into two or three parts, one above the other.
[0020] As described above, the present invention includes a gap-forming band 2 having a length L shorter than the lateral width W of the protector body 1, and one end 3 and the other end 4 of the gap-forming band 2 are fixed to the left edge 5 and the right edge 6 of the protector body 1, respectively. This creates a ventilation gap T between the protector body 1 and the body B, etc., providing good breathability and preventing heatstroke in the summer. The protector also has good impact resistance. That is, the air layer (ventilation gap T) between the protector body 1 and the body B absorbs the impact of a ball impact. Furthermore, the protector also has a good wearing comfort. That is, the protector body 1 is rounded, providing a comfortable overall fit to the body B.
[0021] Furthermore, since the plurality of gap-forming strips 2 are arranged vertically with gaps 7 between them, a ventilation gap T can be reliably formed between the protector body 1 and the body B, providing good breathability, compared to when there is only one gap-forming strip 2. Furthermore, the gaps 7 also provide good breathability in the left-right direction.
[0022] Furthermore, a plurality of convex portions 8 are arranged on the left and right and top and bottom on the front surface of the protector main body 1, and the gaps 7 of the adjacent gap-forming bands 2, 2 are arranged at the same top and bottom positions in correspondence with the left and right horizontal grooves 9 formed between adjacent upper and lower convex portions 8, 8, so that the body B can be easily bent (forward) and the fit is comfortable.
