Description

[Technical Field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a double-headed marking device having marking members that can be protruded and retracted from both ends of an outer cylinder. [Background technology]

[0002] A double-ended marking device with marking members on both ends is convenient because it can perform two different functions with one device. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a double-ended ballpoint pen with excellent operability, which consists of an outer barrel with an operating unit on the side and a main body that is movable within the outer barrel and has ballpoint pen refills fitted at both ends. The operating unit can be locked at both ends.

[0003] This double-ended ballpoint pen has elastic compression springs on both sides of the body, and when the operating part is moved to one side, one ballpoint pen refill is pushed out of the outer tube and the compression spring on the pushed side is compressed. When the operating part is unlocked, the force of the compression spring returns the body and ballpoint pen refill to their original positions.

[0004] As described above, conventional double-headed marking devices generally have two internal elastic return bodies, which increases the number of components and increases manufacturing costs. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0005] [Patent Document 1] Jikko No. 62-172091 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0006] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems of the conventional marking device and to provide a double-headed marking device in which both marking members can be returned by a single elastic body. [Means for solving the problem]

[0007] The marking device of the present invention, which has been made to solve the above problems, comprises an outer tube, a main body that is movable within the outer tube and has marking members at both ends, an operating unit that can move the main body and selectively protrude the marking members from both ends of the outer tube, and a single elastic body that is located between the outer tube and the main body, and both ends of the elastic body are fixed to the outer tube and the main body.

[0008] It is preferable that the operating unit includes a restricting portion that can fix the main body in a position where the marking member is completely housed inside the outer tube. It is also preferable that the operating unit includes a restricting portion that can fix the main body in a position where the marking member protrudes from the outer tube. The operating unit can be composed of an operating piece and an elongated hole formed in the outer tube. Both ends of the outer tube can be provided with lids that open and close in conjunction with the protrusion of the marking member. The marking member can be an ink-impregnated stamp. [Effects of the Invention]

[0009] The marking device of the present invention has a structure in which both ends of a single elastic body located between the outer tube and the main body are fixed to the outer tube and the main body. When the main body is operated in one direction with the operating part to protrude one marking member, the elastic body is compressed, and when it is operated in the other direction to protrude the other marking member, the elastic body is stretched. When the operating part is released, the elastic body attempts to return to its original state, so both marking members can be restored by a single elastic body. Since the elastic body is thus single, the number of components can be reduced, thereby lowering manufacturing costs. [Brief explanation of the drawings]

[Figure 8] FIG. 10 is a central vertical cross-sectional view showing the second marking device in use. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0011] An embodiment of the present invention will be described below. Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the appearance of the marking device of the embodiment, Fig. 2 is a view showing the front, left side, right side, top and bottom, Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA, and Fig. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along line BB. For the sake of convenience in the following explanation, directions are indicated by the up and down arrows in the drawings in which the marking device is shown upright.

[0012] In these figures, reference numeral 10 denotes an outer cylinder with a circular cross section and open upper and lower ends, with a slightly larger diameter above step 11 and a slightly smaller diameter below step 11. Step 11 is formed near the bottom of outer cylinder 10, and in this embodiment, it is located approximately one-fifth of the way from the bottom end. At the top end of outer cylinder 10, lid 12 is journaled by pin 13, and at the bottom end, lid 14 is journaled by pin 15. Both are resilient in the closing direction by helical springs 16 and 17. These lids open and close in conjunction with the projection of marking members 21 and 22, which will be described below, eliminating the need to remove caps and allowing for one-handed operation.

[0013] A substantially cylindrical main body 20 is movably housed inside this outer cylinder 10. As shown in Fig. 4, a first marking member 21 is attached to the upper end of the main body 20, and a second marking member 22 is attached to the lower end of the main body 20. In the state shown in Figs. 1 to 4, these marking members 21, 22 are housed inside the outer cylinder 10, and the lids 12, 14 are closed by helical springs 16, 17.

[0014] In this embodiment, both of these marking members 21 and 22 are penetrating stamps. Penetrating stamps refer to stamps that can be made by penetrating ink, which has been rapidly released into an ink absorbing body behind it, onto the stamping surface. In this embodiment, the first marking member 21 is a personal seal, and the second marking member 22 is a small correction seal, but the types of marking members 21 and 22 are arbitrary and can be any writing implement such as a ballpoint pen or a felt-tip pen, and are not limited to the penetrating stamps of the embodiment.

[0015] An operating part 24 is provided in the center of the main body 20, penetrating an elongated hole 23 formed in the outer tube 10. By moving the operating part 24 up and down along the elongated hole 23 with a fingertip, the main body 20 can be easily and smoothly moved inside the outer tube 10. Restriction grooves 25, 26, and 27 extending approximately laterally relative to the elongated hole 23 are formed at the upper and lower ends and center of the elongated hole 23. The position of the main body 20 can be restricted by moving the operating part 24 laterally and engaging it with one of the restriction grooves 25, 26, or 27. Inclined guide grooves 28 and 29 are provided at the connection between the elongated hole 23 and the restriction grooves 25 and 27, allowing the operating part 24 to be smoothly introduced into the restriction grooves 25 and 27. These restriction grooves 25, 26, and 27 and the inclined guide grooves 28 and 29 constitute the restriction part. 1 to 4, the operating portion 24 is engaged with the central restricting groove 26, and both marking members 21 and 22 are completely housed inside the outer tube 10. However, as will be described later, by moving the main body 20 up and down, the marking members 21 and 22 can be made to protrude from the end of the main body 10 and fixed in place.

[0016] A single elastic body 30 is housed between the outer tube 10 and the main body 20. This elastic body 30 serves to return the marking members 21, 22 protruding from the end of the outer tube 10, and in this embodiment, a coil spring is used. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the main body 20 has a narrow diameter below the operating portion 24, and the elastic body 30 is housed in the space formed between the main body 20 and the outer tube 10. An upper end 31 of the elastic body 30 is fixed to the upper end of the narrow diameter portion of the main body 20. A lower end 32 of the elastic body 30 is fixed to the inside of the stepped portion 11 of the outer tube 10. Various means can be used to fix the upper end 31 and lower end 32 of the elastic body 30, such as fitting or adhesive.

[0017] In this embodiment, a hook 18 is provided on the top of the outer tube 10, making it convenient to carry.

[0018] 5 and 6 show the state in which the main body 20 has been moved upward by the operating part 24. When the main body 20 is moved upward, the first marking member 21 protrudes from the upper end of the outer tube 10, and the protruding state can be maintained by engaging the operating part 24 with the restricting groove 25. In this state, the marking device of this embodiment can stamp a personal seal. Because the upper end 31 of the single elastic body 30 is fixed to the main body 20, when the main body 20 is moved upward, it is stretched as shown in FIG. 6. Therefore, when the operating part 24 is returned from the restricting groove 25 to the elongated hole 23 after using the first marking member 21, the tension of the stretched elastic body 30 pulls the main body 20 downward, returning it to the state shown in FIG. 4.

[0019] Conversely, when the operating part 24 is moved downwardly of the main body 20, the second marking member 22 protrudes from the lower end of the outer tube 10 as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8. The operating part 24 engages with the restricting groove 27, maintaining the protruding state. In this state, the marking device of this embodiment can stamp a correction mark. Because the upper end 31 of the single elastic body 30 is fixed to the main body 20 and the lower end 32 is fixed to the outer tube 10, moving the main body 20 downward compresses the elastic body 30 as shown in FIG. 8. Therefore, when the operating part 24 is returned from the restricting groove 27 to the elongated hole 23 after using the second marking member 22, the repulsive force of the compressed elastic body 30 pulls the main body 20 back upward, restoring it to the state shown in FIG. 4.

[0020] As described above, the marking device of the present invention utilizes the tension side and compression side of the single elastic body 30, allowing the upper and lower marking members 21, 22 to be returned to the interior of the outer tube 10 by the single elastic body 30, and in this state, by engaging the operating part 24 with the restricting groove 26, the stored state can be maintained. As described above, conventional double-headed marking devices generally have two return elastic bodies inside, which increases the number of components and increases manufacturing costs, but according to the present invention, even though it is a double-headed device, it is possible to use a single return elastic body 30, thereby reducing the number of components and reducing costs.
