Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to fishing lures. [Background technology]
[0002] Conventionally, lure fishing has used artificial baits (lures) that resemble bait such as small fish to catch fish eaters. Various types of lures are known, including bait sticks, spoons, plugs, spinners, jigs, and plastic lures.
[0003] As one such lure, Patent Document 1 discloses a fish attractant such as an artificial bait used in fishing, in particular a fish attractant that has a light-reflecting object enclosed in the main body together with a liquid, and that generates complex reflected light as the reflector moves, thereby increasing the chances of catching fish. [0004] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 11-075628 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] However, while fishing lures such as those described in Patent Document 1 can reflect light, the reflected light is either weak or, depending on the angle of the external light that hits the small pieces, the reflected light does not reach the fish eater at all, so not only is the fish-attracting effect not necessarily high, but there is also the problem that it is not possible to secure space inside the lure to install other mechanisms (for example, a center of gravity shifting system).
[0006] One object of the embodiments of the present invention is to provide a lure having an attracting part that can more reliably attract fish eaters by providing one or more reflective surfaces or reflectors inside the lure body that can specularly reflect external light while ensuring space inside the lure body to provide other mechanisms (for example, a center-of-gravity shifting system), thereby reducing attenuation of the reflected external light and allowing it to be reflected with greater luminosity and forming reflected light in various directions. Other objects of the embodiments of the present invention will become apparent by reference to the entire specification. [Means for solving the problem]

[0008] In a fishing lure according to one embodiment of the present invention, a weight is further provided within the hollow of the main body, and the hollow cover member is configured to cover the weight from the outside and to be able to guide the weight inside the hollow cover member along the extension direction of the cover member.
[0009] In a fishing lure according to one embodiment of the present invention, a shaft member is provided inside the cover member along its extension direction, and the shaft member is configured to be inserted through the sinker so as to be able to guide the sinker.
[0010] In a fishing lure according to one embodiment of the present invention, the shaft member is provided so as to extend along a central axis that is concentric with the cover member and the sinker.
[0011] In a fishing lure according to one embodiment of the present invention, one or more reflective surfaces or reflectors capable of specularly reflecting the external light are provided on at least one of the outer surface of the main body portion or the inner surface of the main body portion.
[0012] In a fishing lure according to one embodiment of the present invention, the cover member is formed in a cylindrical, polygonal prism, arch or dome shape with a hollow interior.
[0013] In a fishing lure according to one embodiment of the present invention, one or more reflectors are provided on the outer surface of the cover member along the circumferential direction of the cover member, and when multiple reflectors are provided, the reflectors are provided at intervals from each other along the circumferential direction of the cover member.
[0014] In a fishing lure according to one embodiment of the present invention, one or more reflectors are provided on the outer surface of the cover member, and the reflectors are provided so as to protrude outward from the cover member.
[0015] In a fishing lure according to one embodiment of the present invention, the cover member is formed linearly along the extension direction thereof, or at least a portion thereof is curved.
[0016] In a fishing lure according to one embodiment of the present invention, when the one or more reflective surfaces or reflectors are provided on the inner surface of the main body, the one or more reflective surfaces or reflectors are formed by vapor deposition, plating, a holographic film, a hologram sheet, metal bonding, resin bonding, or glass sheet bonding.
[0017] In the fishing lure according to one embodiment of the present invention, the main body is formed from resin or metal. [Effects of the Invention]
[0018] Various embodiments of the present invention make it possible to provide a lure equipped with an attractant that can more reliably attract fish eaters by providing one or more reflective surfaces or reflectors inside the lure body that can mirror-reflect external light while ensuring space for providing other mechanisms (e.g., a center of gravity shifting system) inside the lure body, thereby reducing attenuation of external light when reflected, allowing it to be reflected with greater brightness, and enabling reflected light to be formed in various directions. [0020] Hereinafter, an embodiment of a fishing lure according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Components common to multiple drawings are designated by the same reference numerals throughout the multiple drawings. Please note that the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale for the sake of convenience.
[0021] A fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 1 and 2. As shown in Figure 1, the fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a main body 2 having a cavity 11 therein and a hollow cover member 9 provided within the cavity 11 of the main body 2. The cavity 11 is partially or entirely visible from the outside, and the outer surface 9a of the hollow cover member 9 is provided with one or more reflective surfaces 6 (in the embodiment of Figure 1) or reflectors 7 capable of specularly reflecting light from the outside. As shown in Figure 2, the fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention further includes a sinker 8 within the cavity 11 of the main body 2. The hollow cover member 9 covers the sinker 8 from the outside (radially outward) and is configured to guide the sinker 8 along the extension direction of the cover member 9 through the interior (radially inward) of the hollow cover member 9. Here, when providing one or more reflective surfaces 6 capable of specularly reflecting light from outside on the outer surface 9a of the hollow cover member 9, the outer surface 9a itself may be formed as a reflective surface capable of specular reflection, or a separate member having a reflective surface capable of specular reflection (a separate member having a reflective surface on one surface) may be attached to the outer surface 9a (the same applies throughout this specification).
[0022] According to the fishing lure 1 of one embodiment of the present invention, while ensuring space within the lure body for providing other necessary mechanisms (e.g., a center-of-gravity shifting system), one or more reflective surfaces or reflectors capable of specularly reflecting external light are provided within the lure body, reducing attenuation of the reflected external light and enabling reflection with greater brightness and forming reflected light in various directions, thereby providing a lure with an attracting portion that can more reliably attract fish eaters. More specifically, even in lures equipped with other mechanisms such as a center-of-gravity shifting system, the other mechanisms (e.g., the center-of-gravity shifting system) and the reflective surfaces or reflectors capable of specular reflection can be disposed within the same cavity of the lure body, making it possible to provide a lure with an attracting portion that can more reliably attract fish eaters by forming reflected light with greater brightness in various directions while effectively utilizing limited space.
[0023] Here, since the reflective surface 6 and reflector 7 provide specular reflection, these reflective surfaces are formed as flat surfaces that satisfy the law of reflection (the angle of incidence and the angle of reflection are equal and have opposite signs in reflection) (the same applies throughout this specification). External light is incident from various directions, but sunlight reaching the water from above the water surface is the primary source. This external light (incident light) is incident from above the water surface toward the lure in the water in an up-down (vertical) or diagonal direction. To attract fish eaters, it is desirable for the lure to provide specular reflection in approximately the left-right (horizontal) or diagonal lateral directions. In this regard, lures are designed to perform a predetermined movement during actual fishing. When arranging the reflective surface 6 and reflector 7 that provide specular reflection, the expected movement of the lure (also known as lure action) can be considered in advance and the reflective surface 6 and reflector 7 can be positioned appropriately, but this is not intended to limit them to a specific position or orientation. Furthermore, since the reflective surfaces of the above-mentioned reflective surface 6 and reflector 7 are specularly reflective in multiple directions, it can be said that providing a large number of them improves the efficiency of reflecting incident light in the appropriate range (direction). However, it should be noted that if the lure action is rolling, even a single reflective surface 6 or reflector 7 can effectively reflect light in the appropriate range (direction).
[0024] Here, specular reflection is defined as "reflection in which the law of reflection (the angle of incidence and the angle of reflection are equal and have opposite signs) holds true." Because the brightness of reflected light is higher than that of normal diffuse reflection, specular reflection of external light can significantly increase the intensity of the reflected light, thereby enabling the reflected light to travel farther (this definition applies throughout this specification). Furthermore, while the reflection brightness of specular reflection and diffuse reflection varies depending on various conditions, under the same conditions, diffuse reflection has a brightness of approximately 1 / 5 or less of specular reflection. It should be noted that the term "specular reflection" in this specification includes not only ideal specular reflection, but also reflection with a brightness of 40% or more (referred to as quasi-specular reflection in this specification). Furthermore, since the reflective surface 6 and reflector 7 perform specular reflection as described above, the reflective surfaces of the reflective surface 6 and reflector 7 are formed as flat surfaces in which the law of reflection (the angle of incidence and the angle of reflection are equal and have opposite signs) holds true (this definition applies throughout this specification). Furthermore, when a reflective surface or reflector is provided inside a cavity, a portion of the external light passes through the main body before being specularly reflected by the reflective surface or reflector provided inside the cavity, but since the light is diffused and transmitted when it reaches the cavity, the light incident on the cavity is diffused in various directions. However, since much of this incident light is specularly reflected by the reflective surface or reflector inside the cavity, even relatively weak incident light can be reduced in attenuation upon reflection and reliably reflected with high light brightness, and the reflected light can be reflected in a wider range of directions. Furthermore, such transmitted light can form colored light as described below in the process of entering the object through which it passes or emitting reflected light to the outside. The light reflected in this manner can also be colored reflected light, reducing attenuation upon reflection and reliably reflecting with high light brightness.
[0025] Next, a fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Fig. 3. As shown in Fig. 3, the fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a main body 2 having a cavity 11 therein, a sinker 8 provided in the cavity 11 of the main body 2 and movable within the cavity 11, and a hollow cover member 9 provided in the cavity 11 of the main body 2, covering the sinker 8 from the outside (radially outward) and guiding the sinker 8 from the inside (radially inward), the cavity 11 being partially or entirely visible from the outside, an outer surface 9a of the hollow cover member 9 being provided with one or more reflective surfaces 6 (in the embodiment of Fig. 3) or reflectors 7 capable of specularly reflecting light from outside, a shaft member 12 provided inside the cover member 9 along its extension direction, and configured to be able to guide the sinker 8 by being inserted through the shaft member 12. In the fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the shaft member 12 may be provided so as to extend along a central axis X such that the cover member 9 and the sinker 8 are concentric. As shown in Fig. 2, the inner surface of the cover member 9 may guide the sinker 8. In this case, the sinker 8 may be formed into a shape that allows it to roll and slide along the inner surface of the cover member 9.
[0026] According to the fishing lure 1 of one embodiment of the present invention, while ensuring space within the lure body for installing other necessary mechanisms (e.g., a center-of-gravity shifting system), one or more reflective surfaces or reflectors capable of specularly reflecting external light are provided within the lure body, reducing attenuation of the reflected external light and enabling reflection with greater brightness and forming reflected light in various directions, thereby providing a lure with an attracting portion that can more reliably attract fish eaters. More specifically, even in lures equipped with other mechanisms such as a center-of-gravity shifting system, the other mechanisms (e.g., the center-of-gravity shifting system) and the reflective surface or reflector 7 capable of specular reflection can be disposed within the same cavity of the lure body, making it possible to provide a lure with an attracting portion that can more reliably attract fish eaters by forming reflected light with greater brightness in various directions while making effective use of limited space. Furthermore, when a mechanism related to the center of gravity shifting system is provided, even if the radially inner diameter of the cover member and the radially outer diameter of the weight are slightly different, the provision of a shaft member allows the weight to move more smoothly along the shaft member, thereby enabling the center of gravity shifting system to perform its function more reliably. Furthermore, by utilizing a shaft member, weights of various sizes and shapes can be used for the cover member. Furthermore, because the weight also moves along the shaft member, it is possible to move the weight more smoothly than if it moved only along the cover member.
[0027] 4 and 5, a fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a main body 2 having an internal cavity 11, and the cavity 11 is partially or entirely visible from the outside, and one or more reflective surfaces 6 (an example shown in FIG. 5) or reflectors 7 (an example shown in FIG. 4) capable of specularly reflecting external light are provided on at least either the outer surface or the inner surface of the main body 2 (in the illustrated example, the inner surface of the main body 2). In this way, it is possible to reduce attenuation of external light reflection, reflect light with greater luminosity, and form reflected light in various directions, thereby providing a lure with an attractant that can more reliably attract fish eaters. FIG. 4 shows an embodiment of a fishing lure 1 according to the present invention, in which multiple reflectors 7 are provided on the inner surface of the main body 11. FIG. 5(a) shows multiple reflective surfaces 6 arranged along the inner surface of the main body 2, with each reflective surface partially in contact with an adjacent reflective surface. FIG. 5(b) shows multiple reflective surfaces 6 arranged along the inner surface of the main body 2, with each reflective surface in contact with the entire side of an adjacent reflective surface. Note that when one or more reflective surfaces 6 or reflectors 7 are provided, the one or more reflective surfaces 6 or reflectors 7 may be provided integrally with or separately from the main body 2. Even when the one or more reflective surfaces 6 or reflectors 7 are provided separately from the main body 2, the one or more reflective surfaces 6 or reflectors 7 may be provided so that some or all of them are in contact with the main body 2 (the same applies throughout this specification). Here, as described above, the reflecting surface 6 or the reflector 7 performs specular reflection, and therefore these reflecting surfaces are formed as planes in which the law of reflection (in reflection, the angle of incidence and the angle of reflection are equal and have opposite signs) holds (same below).
[0028] Next, with reference to FIG. 6, a cover member 9 of a fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the cover member 9 is formed in a cylindrical shape (in the case of FIG. 6(a)), a polygonal prism shape (in the cases of FIGS. 1, 2, and 6(b)), an arch shape (in the case of FIG. 6(c)), or a dome shape (in the case of FIG. 6(d)). However, in the case of a cylindrical or polygonal prism shape, the interior (inside) is formed hollow. In this regard, since an arch-shaped or dome-shaped shape can also be considered to have a partially hollow interior (inside), in this specification, the term "hollow cover member 9" will also be used to refer to members having an arch or dome shape. Here, an arch-shaped shape refers to a shape formed by curving in an approximately circular arc (with an arc angle of less than 360°), and a dome-shaped shape refers to a shape formed in a shape close to an approximately circular arc (with an arc angle of less than 360°) but formed by connecting multiple planes. In this way, external light incident on the inside of the lure body can be efficiently reflected. That is, by changing the shape of the cover member to match the shape of the inside of the lure's main body, it is possible to form a lure that can efficiently reflect light, regardless of the shape or type of lure. Also, if the cover member is shaped to be partially open in the circumferential direction (arch-shaped or dome-shaped), it is sufficient to provide reflective surfaces in the minimum number of locations necessary to reflect external light. In other words, if the main external light is assumed to be external light from the sun coming from above (upper direction), even if such a reflective surface is formed only in the upper direction (upper direction), it is possible to reflect sufficiently strong, high-brightness reflected light.
[0029] Next, with reference to FIG. 11 , a cover member 9 of a fishing lure 1 according to another embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the fishing lure 1 according to another embodiment of the present invention, the cover member 9 may be configured in the shape of a plurality of polygonal prisms. In the illustrated example, the cover member 9 is configured from six hexagonal prisms, but the number and shape of the polygonal prisms are not limited to this and various other shapes are possible. Furthermore, the shape of the plurality of polygonal prisms may be configured using a plurality of types of polygonal prisms (for example, a combination of pentagonal prisms and hexagonal prisms). Furthermore, as partially shown in FIG. 11 , through holes are formed in the plurality of polygonal prisms of the cover member 9 along the axial direction (center axis X), thereby forming a hollow interior. Furthermore, each of the multiple polygonal prisms (six hexagonal prisms in FIG. 11 ) of the cover member 9 may have a different (irregular) angle (radial angle) around the axial direction (central axis X), and as a result, the orientation (angle) of each of the multiple polygonal prisms (six hexagonal prisms in FIG. 11 ) of the cover member 9 becomes irregular (irregular), which enables each of the side surfaces of the multiple polygonal prisms (six hexagonal prisms in FIG. 11 ) of the cover member 9 to efficiently reflect external light from multiple directions. Here, the cover member 9 of the fishing lure 1 according to another embodiment of the present invention is a single member, i.e., multiple polygonal prisms are formed as an integrated member, but other embodiments (for example, an embodiment using multiple polygonal prism members or multiple polygonal prism members formed as an integrated member) may also be used.
[0030] Next, with reference to Figures 7 and 8, a cover member 9 of a fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described. First, as shown in Figure 7, in the fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, one or more reflective surfaces 6 are provided on the outer surface of the cover member 9 along the circumferential direction of the cover member 9. When multiple reflective surfaces 6 are provided, the reflective surfaces 6 are provided at intervals from one another along the circumferential direction of the cover member 9. By providing reflective surfaces at necessary locations on the cover member in this manner, space saving and cost reduction are achieved, while enabling reflection with high light brightness and enabling the formation of reflected light in various directions, thereby reliably and strongly attracting carnivorous fish. It should also be noted that when multiple reflective surfaces 6 are provided, the reflective surfaces 6 may be provided along the entire circumferential direction of the cover member 9 without being spaced from one another. As shown in FIG. 8 , in a fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, one or more reflective surfaces 6 and one or more reflectors 7 are provided on the outer surface of the cover member 9, and the reflectors 7 are provided so as to protrude outward from the cover member. In the example of FIG. 8( a), two reflectors 7 are formed so as to extend in the vertical direction, while in the example of FIG. 8( b), four reflectors 7 are formed so as to extend in each of the vertical and horizontal directions. Because external light (e.g., sunlight) reaches the two left and right reflectors 7 from above, it is preferable that the two left and right reflectors 7 are provided below the vertical center (e.g., closer to the reflectors 7 facing downward than the reflectors 7 facing upward). By providing a cover member having a reflective surface and further providing a reflector on the cover member, it is possible to reflect light with greater brightness and form reflected light in various directions, thereby more reliably and strongly attracting carnivorous fish. Furthermore, by providing a reflector on part of the cover member (i.e., forming a part with a reflector and a part without a reflector), the shape of the cover member can be changed to match the shape of the inside of the main body of the lure, and by providing reflectors only in necessary places, it is possible to achieve more effective specular reflection.
[0031] In a fishing lure according to one embodiment of the present invention, the cover member is formed linearly (for example, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2) along its extension direction (longitudinal direction), or at least partially curved. In this way, the cover member can be formed linearly or curved longitudinally to accommodate various shapes of lures. Furthermore, the cover member is used to guide the sinker in the center of gravity shifting system. Since lures come in a variety of types and shapes, the cover member can be formed not only linearly in the longitudinal direction but also at least partially curved, making it applicable to various shapes of lures. Therefore, the shape of the sinker that moves inside the cover member can be adjusted accordingly, and can be an appropriate shape to allow the sinker to move smoothly.
[0032] Furthermore, in the fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, when one or more reflective surfaces 6 or reflectors 7 are provided on the inner surface of the main body 2, the one or more reflective surfaces 6 or reflectors 7 are formed as mirror surfaces by, for example, but not limited to, vapor deposition, plating, fluorofilm, hologram sheet, metal bonding, resin bonding, or glass sheet bonding. In this way, for example, by using them in a part where light from above the water surface is likely to be incident, such as the belly (underside) of the lure, it is possible to improve the reflection efficiency and emit stronger reflected light, or to reliably reflect weak incident light.
[0033] Furthermore, in the fishing lure 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the main body 2 is formed from a resin (e.g., ABS, acrylic, etc.) or a metal (e.g., zinc, lead, tungsten, etc.). Furthermore, a portion of the main body 2 may be formed from at least one of a resin (e.g., ABS, acrylic, etc.) or a metal (e.g., zinc, lead, tungsten, etc.).
[0034] Next, a fishing lure 1 according to another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Fig. 9. As shown in Fig. 9, the fishing lure 1 according to another embodiment of the present invention includes a main body 2 having a cavity 11 therein, and a sinker 8 that is provided in the cavity 11 of the main body 2 and is movable within the cavity 11, the cavity 11 being partially or entirely visible from the outside, an outer surface 8a of the sinker 8 being provided with one or more reflective surfaces 6 (in the embodiment of Fig. 9) or reflectors 7 that are capable of specularly reflecting light from the outside, a shaft member 12 being provided inside the sinker 8 along its extension direction, and the shaft member 12 being configured to be able to guide the sinker 8 by being inserted through the shaft member 12. Thus, according to the fishing lure 1 of another embodiment of the present invention, while ensuring space for installing other mechanisms (e.g., a center-of-gravity shifting system) inside the lure body, one or more reflective surfaces or reflectors capable of specularly reflecting external light are provided inside the lure body, thereby reducing the attenuation of external light when reflected, allowing it to be reflected with greater brightness and forming reflected light in various directions, thereby providing a lure with an attractant that can more reliably attract fish eaters. Here, in the fishing lure 1 of another embodiment of the present invention, instead of a cover member, the sinker itself may be provided with one or more reflective surfaces 6 or reflectors 7 capable of specularly reflecting external light. Furthermore, instead of the sinker, multiple rattle balls may be used, each having one or more reflective surfaces 6 or reflectors 7 on its surface capable of specularly reflecting external light. It should be noted that the various aspects of the cover member described in the fishing lure 1 of each embodiment of the present invention can basically be applied in place of the sinker.
[0035] Finally, a fishing lure 1 according to another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Fig. 10. The fishing lure 1 according to each embodiment of the present invention described above is not limited to the so-called squid fishing lure shown in Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Fig. 3, and Fig. 9, but can also be applied to lures of various shapes, and for example, can be applied to a lure 1 of the shape shown in Fig. 10. Note that the description of each component of the lure 1 shown in Fig. 10 has been given above, and will not be repeated here.
[0036] The dimensions, materials, and arrangement of each component described in this specification are not limited to those explicitly described in the embodiments, and each component can be modified to have any dimensions, materials, and arrangement that can be included in the scope of the present invention. Furthermore, components not explicitly described in this specification can be added to the described embodiments, and some of the components described in each embodiment can be omitted.
