Abstract

To realize a fishing reel and a handle-side reel body that offer convenience.SOLUTION: A fishing reel 100 is formed by assembling: a spool-side reel body 10 in which a spool 11 is rotatably provided; and a handle-side reel body 20 in which a handle 21 is rotatably mounted and a rotation transmission mechanism 30 for transmitting the driving force generated by rotation of the handle to the spool 11 is disposed inside. The fishing reel 100 is provided with multiple handle-side reel bodies 20, and gear ratios (speed transmission ratios) of the rotation transmission mechanisms 30 disposed in the respective handle-side reel bodies 20 are configured to be different. The fishing reel 100 is used by assembling the spool-side reel body 10 with one handle-side reel body 20 selected from the plurality of handle-side reel bodies 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
