Abstract
To provide a joint pin for facilitating joint operations using the joint pin, and a joint method using the joint pin.SOLUTION: A joint pin 1 of the present invention is a joint pin 1 that joins a first member 12 and a second member 14 by being inserted through a first hole 16a provided in the first member 12 and a second hole 16b provided in the second member 14, and it comprises: a tapered tip portion 2; a threaded portion 4 positioned opposite the tip portion 2 in an axial direction of the joint pin and having a thread formed on its outer periphery; a non-threaded portion 6 including the tip portion 2 and not having a thread formed on its outer periphery; and an engagement portion 8 formed on an end face 10 opposite the tip portion 2 in the joint pin 1 and capable of engaging with a rotary tool 18. The length of the non-threaded portion 6 in the axial direction is longer than the length of the threaded portion 4. When the tip portion is inserted into the first hole 16a, which communicates with the second hole 16b, and the rotary tool 18 engaged with the engagement portion 8 rotates in a first direction, the joint pin moves into the second hole in an axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
