Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present application relates to the field of communication technology, in particular to signal transmission methods, devices, storage media, and chips. [Background technology]

[0002] With the rapid development of communication technology, high-precision positioning has gradually been determined as a key research project in 5th generation mobile networks (5G) within the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). New Radio (NR) positioning is mainly applied in the following scenarios: enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) outdoor scenario, eMBB indoor scenario, ultra-reliable low latency communication (URLLC) scenario, and massive machine type communication (mMTC) / internet of things (IOT) scenario. NR positioning is further required to have high security, scalability, high applicability, accuracy guarantee in high-speed applications, and other characteristics.

[0003] Currently, a terminal device can be positioned based on an angle used for positioning, such as an angle of departure (AOD) or an angle of arrival (AOA). In current positioning methods, a terminal device can detect a positioning reference signal (PRS) transmitted by an access point (AP) to obtain reference signal received powers (RSRP) corresponding to multiple beams. The angle of departure (AOD) at which the AP's radio signal leaves the AP is calculated based on the RSRP value and information about the beams transmitted by the base station, and the AOD can be used to position the terminal device.

[0004] However, as positioning requirements and application scenarios become increasingly broad, providing further angle (eg, AOD) determination solutions has become an urgent problem to be solved. Summary of the Invention

[0005] The present application provides a reference signal transmission method, an apparatus, a storage medium, and a chip for determining phase information based on a reference signal transmission solution, and further for applying to a solution for determining an angle (eg, AOD) based on the phase information.

[0006] According to a first aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides a reference signal transmission method. The method includes: a first communication device obtains first configuration information of a first reference signal, the first configuration information including indication information of a plurality of time domain resources used to determine phase information. The first communication device receives the first reference signal and determines a plurality of first phase information corresponding to the plurality of time domain resources, one of the plurality of first phase information being determined based on a signal received on one of the plurality of time domain resources. The first communication device transmits second phase information and / or first launch angle information, the second phase information being determined based on the plurality of first phase information, and the first launch angle information being determined based on the plurality of first phase information.

[0007] The first communication device determines a plurality of time domain resources for which phase information needs to be determined based on the first setting information, and determines a plurality of phase information based on the plurality of time domain resources. Thus, the launch angle of the reference signal can be further determined based on the plurality of phase information. It can be seen that the present application provides a solution for determining an angle (e.g., AOD) based on phase information, so that when an angle required for positioning needs to be determined, there can be one further optional method.

[0008] In a possible implementation, the plurality of time domain resources include a first time domain resource and a second time domain resource, the first communication device receives a first portion of a first reference signal on the first time domain resource and determines one of the plurality of first phase information based on the first portion of the first reference signal, and the first communication device receives a second portion of the first reference signal on the second time domain resource and determines another one of the plurality of first phase information based on the second portion of the first reference signal.

[0009] Since the first communication device can determine multiple first phase information by using one reference signal, the number of reference signals used to calculate the launch angle can be reduced, saving network resources and reducing delay.

[0010] In a possible implementation, the indication information of the plurality of time domain resources comprises the following content: information about the number of time domain resource units between two of the S1 time domain resources corresponding to the first reference signal, where S1 is an integer greater than 1, and the S1 time domain resources are time domain resources used by the transmitting end of the first reference signal to transmit the first reference signal.

[0011] In this way, the first communication device may determine a rule for determining the first phase information by the first communication device according to the rule for transmitting the first reference signal by the transmitting end. The two rules may coincide. Furthermore, when the second communication device transmits the first reference signal intermittently with discontinuous time domain resources, the first communication device may determine each signal with better quality according to the coincident rule, since the first communication device knows the rule for transmitting the first reference signal by the second communication device. Furthermore, the first communication device may determine the first phase information based on the determined signal with better quality, so as to improve the accuracy of the first phase information.

[0012] In a possible implementation, the indication information of the plurality of time domain resources used to determine the phase information includes information on S1 time domain resources corresponding to the first reference signal. In this way, the first communication device can determine the plurality of time domain resources used by the first communication device to determine the first phase information based on the S1 time domain resources used by the transmitting end to transmit the first reference signal.

[0013] In a possible implementation, two adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources are separated by at least one time domain resource unit. In this way, if two adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources correspond to two different ports, the second communication device may have time to perform a port switching operation between the adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources.

[0014] In a possible implementation, adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources are separated by Q1 time domain resource units, where Q1 is a positive integer. In this way, the solution can be regular and the number of bits occupied by information indicating the intervals between the time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources can be further reduced.

[0015] In a possible implementation, one time domain resource unit is one or more time domain symbols. In this way, the first communication device can obtain a plurality of first phase information at symbol granularity, and then determine a launch angle based on at least one phase information, thereby reducing the delay in the solution of calculating the launch angle based on the behavior information.

[0016] In a possible implementation, the first configuration information further includes a correspondence between S1 time domain resources corresponding to the first reference signal and a plurality of ports, where S1 is an integer greater than 1. The plurality of ports are ports used by a transmitting end of the first reference signal to transmit the first reference signal on the S1 time domain resources. In this way, the first communication device may determine the correspondence between the plurality of first phase information and the first ports, and the first communication device may further report the correspondence between the first phase information and the first ports, so that the second communication device determines the interval between the ports corresponding to the first phase information based on the correspondence.

[0017] In a possible implementation, two adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources correspond to two different ports. In this way, the first communication device can obtain two different first phase information based on the signals transmitted on the two adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources. By using the two different first phase information, a phase difference can be obtained. If the ports corresponding to every two adjacent time domain resources are different, the maximum number of phase differences can be obtained, which can improve the accuracy of the launch angle.

[0018] In a possible implementation, one of the multiple ports corresponds to one of the S1 time domain resources. In this way, in the process of the second communication device transmitting the first reference signal on the S1 time domain resources, one port is used once. In this way, the second communication device can transmit the first reference signal by as many ports as possible, and then the first communication device can obtain the first phase information corresponding to more different ports. More phase differences can be obtained based on the first phase information corresponding to more different ports. It can be seen that with this solution, the number of phase differences will increase, and the accuracy of the launch angle will be further improved.

[0019] In a possible implementation, one of the multiple ports corresponds to multiple time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources. In this way, one port can be used multiple times in the process of the second communication device transmitting the first reference signal on the S1 time domain resources. In this case, one port can be set as a reference port to provide calibration for other ports. Furthermore, since the port is reused multiple times, the number of ports required in this solution can be reduced, which can lower the hardware requirements of the second communication device and reduce the cost of the second communication device.

[0020] In a possible implementation, the first setting information further includes information regarding a frequency domain resource corresponding to the first reference signal, whereby the first communication device receives the first reference signal on the corresponding frequency domain resource based on the first setting information.

[0021] In a possible implementation, the second phase information has the following content: At least two of the plurality of first phase information; At least one piece of phase difference information corresponding to the plurality of pieces of first phase information; or and an average of at least one of the phase difference information. This can improve the flexibility of the solution.

[0022] In a possible implementation, when the second phase information includes at least two pieces of first phase information, the order of the at least two pieces of first phase information in the second phase information corresponds to the order of the time domain resources corresponding to the at least two pieces of first phase information. In this way, the second communication device can determine the port corresponding to the first phase information included in the second phase information based on the port used in sequence to transmit the first reference signal, so that the second communication device determines the interval between the ports corresponding to the phase difference information corresponding to the multiple pieces of first phase information, and calculates the launch angle based on the interval.

[0023] In a possible implementation, when the second phase information includes at least two pieces of first phase information, the order of the at least two pieces of first phase information in the second phase information is consistent with the order of the identifiers of the ports corresponding to the at least two pieces of first phase information. In this way, the second communication device can determine the ports corresponding to the first phase information included in the second phase information based on the preset port identifier sequence, so that the second communication device determines the intervals between the ports corresponding to the phase difference information corresponding to the multiple pieces of first phase information, and calculates the launch angle based on the intervals.

[0024] In a possible implementation, when the second phase information includes at least two pieces of phase difference information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information, the order of the at least two pieces of phase difference information in the second phase information corresponds to the order of the time domain resources corresponding to the phase difference information. In this way, the second communication device can determine the port corresponding to the phase difference information included in the second phase information based on the port sequentially used to transmit the first reference signal, so that the second communication device determines the interval between the ports corresponding to the phase difference information and calculates the launch angle based on the interval.

[0025] In a possible implementation, when the second phase information includes at least two pieces of phase difference information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information, the order of the at least two pieces of phase difference information in the second phase information corresponds to the order of the identifiers of the ports corresponding to the phase difference information. In this way, the second communication device can determine the ports corresponding to the phase difference information included in the second phase information based on the preset port identifier sequence, so that the second communication device determines the interval between the ports corresponding to the phase difference information, and calculates the launch angle based on the interval.

[0026] In a possible implementation, after the first communication device determines a plurality of first phase information corresponding to the first reference signal received on a plurality of time domain resources used for determining the phase information, the method further includes the first communication device transmitting reliability information of the second phase information. In this way, when the location information of the first communication device is determined based on the launch angle corresponding to the second phase information, the calculation can be performed with reference to the reliability information of the second phase information, so that the accuracy of locating the first communication device can be improved.

[0027] In a possible implementation, the reliability information of the second phase information comprises standard deviation information and / or variance information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information.

[0028] In a possible implementation, after the first communication device determines a plurality of first phase information corresponding to the first reference signal received on a plurality of time domain resources used to determine the phase information, the method further includes the first communication device transmitting first indication information. The first indication information indicates a correspondence between a parameter in the second phase information and an identifier of a port used to transmit the first reference signal. In this way, the second communication device can determine the port corresponding to the parameter in the second phase information based on the first indication information, so that the second communication device determines an interval between the ports corresponding to the parameter in the second phase information and calculates a launch angle based on the interval.

[0029] In a possible implementation, the first launch angle information includes at least one launch angle information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information, and the at least one launch angle information is: a plurality of first phase information and a spacing between ports used to transmit a first reference signal; at least one first launch angle average information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information and determined based on at least two of the at least one launch angle information; or At least one second launch angle average information corresponding to a plurality of first phase information and determined based on average information of phase difference information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information and information of a port interval average determined based on an average interval between a plurality of ports used to transmit the first reference signal. The following is determined based on the above:

[0030] This can improve the flexibility of the solution. Furthermore, when the first communication device reports the first launch angle information, the positioning server can directly locate the first communication device based on the first launch angle information reported by the first communication device, so that the step of reporting the second phase information by the first communication device to the second communication device through the positioning server can be omitted, and the step of transmitting the launch angle determined by the second communication device to the positioning server can be omitted, which can reduce signaling interactions and save network resources.

[0031] In a possible implementation, when the first launch angle information includes multiple launch angle information corresponding to multiple first phase information, the order of the multiple launch angle information in the first launch angle information matches the order of the time domain resources corresponding to the multiple first phase information, or the order of the multiple launch angle information in the first launch angle information matches the order of the identifiers of the ports corresponding to the multiple first phase information, which can improve the flexibility of the solution.

[0032] In a possible implementation, after the first communication device determines a plurality of first phase information corresponding to the first reference signal received on the plurality of time domain resources used to determine the phase information, the method further includes the first communication device transmitting reliability information of the first launch angle phase information. In this way, when another device determines the location information of the first communication device based on the first launch angle information, the calculation can be performed with reference to the reliability information of the first launch angle information, so that the accuracy of locating the first communication device can be improved.

[0033] In a possible implementation, the reliability information of the first launch angle information comprises standard deviation information and / or variance information of the plurality of launch angle information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information.

[0034] In a possible implementation, after the first communication device determines a plurality of first phase information corresponding to a first reference signal received on a plurality of time domain resources used to determine the phase information, the method further includes the first communication device transmitting second indication information, the second indication information indicating a correspondence between a parameter in the first launch angle information and an identifier of a port used to transmit the first reference signal.

[0035] In a possible implementation, the plurality of first phase information are in one-to-one correspondence with the plurality of time domain resources used to determine the phase information. For one of the plurality of first phase information, the first phase information is determined based on a normal path and / or an additional path that a signal received on the time domain resource corresponding to the first phase information takes to arrive at the first communication device. This can improve the flexibility of the solution.

[0036] According to a second aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides a reference signal transmission method, the method including: a second communication device generating a first reference signal; and the second communication device transmitting the first reference signal to a first communication device on a plurality of time domain resources, two of the plurality of time domain resources corresponding to two different ports used to transmit the first reference signal.

[0037] Since the second communication device transmits the first reference signal with multiple time domain resources through multiple ports, the first communication device can determine multiple phase information based on the multiple time domain resources, and then determine the launch angle of the reference signal based on the multiple phase information. Since the present application can provide a solution for determining an angle (e.g., AOD) based on phase information, it can be seen that there may be one further optional solution when the angle used for positioning needs to be determined.

[0038] In a possible implementation, the plurality of time domain resources includes a third time domain resource and a fourth time domain resource, and the plurality of ports includes a first port and a second port. Transmitting a first reference signal by the second communication device on the plurality of time domain resources to the first communication device includes the second communication device transmitting a first portion of the first reference signal on the third time domain resource via the first port, and the second communication device transmitting a second portion of the first reference signal on the fourth time domain resource via the second port.

[0039] Since the first and second parts of the first reference signal are transmitted by different ports of the second communication device, after obtaining a plurality of phase information by measurement based on the signals transmitted by the different ports, the first communication device can calculate the launch angle by referring to the phase difference information of the plurality of phase information and the interval between the ports. Furthermore, since the second communication device transmits different parts of the same reference signal by different ports, and the first communication device can determine a plurality of first phase information by using one reference signal, the number of reference signals used to calculate the launch angle is reduced, which can save network resources and reduce delay.

[0040] In a possible implementation, the second communication device transmitting a first portion of the first reference signal on a third time domain resource via a first port includes the second communication device transmitting the first portion of the first reference signal on a third time domain resource via a first port connected to the first radio frequency channel, and the second communication device transmitting a second portion of the first reference signal on a fourth time domain resource via a second port includes the second communication device transmitting the second portion of the first reference signal on a fourth time domain resource via a second port connected to the first radio frequency channel.

[0041] Therefore, in the case of a second communication device including only one radio frequency channel including at least two ports, positioning may alternatively be performed based on phase information corresponding to a first reference signal transmitted by the second communication device, lowering the hardware requirements of the second communication device in a solution performing positioning based on phase information and reducing the cost of the second communication device.

[0042] In a possible implementation, a first portion of the first reference signal is used to determine one of the plurality of first phase information, and a second portion of the first reference signal is used to determine the other one of the plurality of first phase information.

[0043] Since the first communication device can determine multiple first phase information by using one reference signal, the number of reference signals used to calculate the launch angle can be reduced, saving network resources and reducing delay.

[0044] In a possible implementation, before the second communication device transmits the first reference signal to the first communication device on the multiple time domain resources, the method further includes the second communication device determining second configuration information for the first reference signal, the second configuration information including fourth instruction information, wherein the instruction information indicates S1 time domain resources, S1 being an integer greater than 1, and the S1 time domain resources being the multiple time domain resources used to transmit the first reference signal.

[0045] In a possible implementation, the second configuration information has the following content: information regarding the number of time domain resource units between two of the S1 time domain resources, and / or S Information about one time domain resource This allows for increased flexibility of the solution.

[0046] In a possible implementation, two adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources are separated by at least one time domain resource unit. For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content. The details are not described again here.

[0047] In a possible implementation, adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources are separated by Q1 time domain resource units, where Q1 is a positive integer. For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content. Details are not described again here.

[0048] In a possible implementation, one time domain resource unit is one or more time domain symbols. For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content. The details will not be described again here.

[0049] In a possible implementation, the second configuration information further includes a correspondence between the S1 time domain resources and a plurality of ports, where S1 is an integer greater than 1. The second communication device sending a first reference signal in the S1 time domain resource units to the first communication device based on the second configuration information includes, for a time domain resource among the S1 time domain resources, the second communication device sending a first reference signal to the first communication device through a port corresponding to the time domain resource.

[0050] In a possible implementation, two adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources correspond to two different ports. For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content. The details are not described again here.

[0051] In a possible implementation, one of the multiple ports corresponds to one or more of the S1 time domain resources. For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content. The details will not be described again here.

[0052] In a possible implementation, the second configuration information further includes information about a frequency domain resource corresponding to the first reference signal. For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content. The details are not described again here.

[0053] According to a third aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides a reference signal transmission method. The method includes: a second communication device receiving second phase information; and the second communication device determining a launch angle of a first reference signal based on the second phase information. The second phase information is determined based on a plurality of first phase information, and the plurality of first phase information is determined based on the first reference signal.

[0054] In another possible implementation provided in the present application, the second communication device in this implementation can determine the launch angle of the first reference signal based on a plurality of first phase information of the first reference signal. Therefore, when the angle used for positioning needs to be determined, there can be one further optional solution.

[0055] In a possible implementation, the second phase information has the following content: At least two of the plurality of first phase information; At least one piece of phase difference information corresponding to the plurality of pieces of first phase information; or Average information of at least one phase difference information Including at least one of the following. For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content. The details will not be described again here.

[0056] In a possible implementation, when the second phase information includes at least two first phase information, the order of the at least two first phase information in the second phase information is consistent with the order of the time domain resources corresponding to the at least two first phase information, or the order of the at least two first phase information in the second phase information is consistent with the order of the identifiers of the ports corresponding to the at least two first phase information. For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content. Details will not be described again here.

[0057] In a possible implementation, when the second phase information includes at least two pieces of phase difference information corresponding to a plurality of first phase information, the order of the at least two pieces of phase difference information in the second phase information is consistent with the order of the time domain resources corresponding to the phase difference information, or the order of the at least two pieces of phase difference information in the second phase information is consistent with the order of the identifiers of the ports corresponding to the phase difference information. For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content. Details are not described again here.

[0058] In a possible implementation, after the second communication device transmits the first reference signal to the first communication device with a plurality of time domain resources, the method further includes: the second communication device receives reliability information of the second phase information. For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content. Details are not described again here.

[0059] In a possible implementation, the reliability information of the second phase information includes standard deviation information and / or variance information corresponding to a plurality of first phase information. For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content. Details are not described again here.

[0060] In a possible implementation, after the second communication device transmits a first reference signal to the first communication device on a plurality of time domain resources, the method further includes the second communication device receiving first indication information, the first indication information indicating a correspondence between a parameter in the second phase information and an identifier of a port used to transmit the first reference signal.

[0061] In this way, the second communication device can determine the ports corresponding to the parameters in the second phase information based on the first instruction information, whereby the second communication device determines the spacing between the ports corresponding to the parameters in the second phase information and calculates the launch angle based on the spacing.

[0062] In a possible implementation, the plurality of first phase information are in one-to-one correspondence with the plurality of time domain resources used for transmitting the first reference signal. For one of the plurality of first phase information, the first phase information is determined based on a normal path and / or an additional path that a signal transmitted on the time domain resource corresponding to the first phase information takes to arrive at the first communication device. For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content. Details will not be described again here.

[0063] According to a fourth aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides a positioning method based on an angle used for positioning. The method includes a positioning server receiving a plurality of first launch angle information, one of the plurality of first launch angle information being determined based on a plurality of first phase information determined by a first communication device, the plurality of first phase information being determined based on a first reference signal. The positioning server determines location information of the first communication device based on the plurality of first launch angle information.

[0064] The first communication device determines a plurality of phase information based on the first reference signal. Thus, the launch angle of the reference signal can be further determined based on the plurality of phase information. It can be seen that the present application can provide a solution for determining an angle (e.g., AOD) based on the phase information, and then locating the first communication device. Thus, when the location information of the first communication device needs to be determined, there can be one further optional solution.

[0065] In another possible implementation, the second communication device may alternatively receive the first launch angle information, and then the second communication device transmits the first launch angle information to the positioning server.

[0066] In a possible implementation, the first launch angle information includes at least one launch angle information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information, and the at least one launch angle information is: a plurality of first phase information and a spacing between ports used to transmit a first reference signal; at least one first launch angle average information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information and determined based on at least two of the at least one launch angle information; or At least one second launch angle average information corresponding to a plurality of first phase information and determined based on average information of phase difference information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information and information of a port interval average determined based on an average interval between a plurality of ports used to transmit the first reference signal. The following is determined based on the above:

[0067] For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content, and the details will not be described again here.

[0068] In a possible implementation, when the first launch angle information includes a plurality of launch angle information corresponding to a plurality of first phase information, the order of the plurality of launch angle information in the first launch angle information is consistent with the order of the time domain resources corresponding to the plurality of first phase information, or the order of the plurality of launch angle information in the first launch angle information is consistent with the order of the identifiers of the ports corresponding to the plurality of first phase information. For advantageous effects, please refer to the above content. Details are not described again here.

[0069] In a possible implementation, before the positioning server determines the location information of the first communication device based on the plurality of first launch angle information, the method further includes the positioning server receiving reliability information of the first launch angle information. In this way, when the positioning server determines the location information of the first communication device based on the plurality of first launch angle information, the calculation can be performed with reference to the reliability information of the first launch angle information, so that the accuracy of locating the first communication device can be improved.

[0070] In a possible implementation, the reliability information of the first launch angle information comprises standard deviation information and / or variance information of the plurality of launch angle information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information.

[0071] In a possible implementation, before the positioning server determines location information of the first communication device based on the plurality of first launch angle information, the method further includes the positioning server receiving second indication information, the second indication information indicating a correspondence between a parameter in the first launch angle information and an identifier of a port used to transmit the first reference signal.

[0072] According to a fifth aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides another reference signal transmission method. The method includes: a second communication device receives a second reference signal. The second communication device determines a plurality of third phase information corresponding to the second reference signal received in a plurality of time domain resources. The second communication device determines an arrival angle of the second reference signal based on the plurality of third phase information.

[0073] The second communication device determines a plurality of third phase information corresponding to the second reference signal based on a plurality of time domain resources. Thus, the arrival angle of the reference signal can be further determined based on the plurality of third phase information. Since the present application can provide a solution for determining an angle (e.g., AOA) based on phase information, it can be seen that there can be one further optional solution when the angle used for positioning needs to be determined.

[0074] In a possible implementation, the second communication device determining a plurality of third phase information corresponding to a second reference signal received on a plurality of time domain resources includes the second communication device receiving a first portion of the second reference signal on a fifth time domain resource and determining one of the plurality of third phase information based on the first portion of the second reference signal, and the second communication device receiving a second portion of the second reference signal on a sixth time domain resource and determining another one of the plurality of third phase information based on the second portion of the second reference signal.

[0075] Since the second communication device can determine multiple third phase information by using one reference signal, the number of reference signals used to calculate the arrival angle is reduced, which can save network resources and reduce delay.

[0076] In a possible implementation, the second communication device receiving the second reference signal includes the second communication device receiving a first portion of the second reference signal on a fifth time domain resource via a third port, and the second communication device receiving a second portion of the second reference signal on a sixth time domain resource via a fourth port.

[0077] Since the first and second parts of the second reference signal are received by different ports of the second communication device, after obtaining a plurality of phase information by measurement based on the signals received by the different ports, the second communication device can calculate the arrival angle by referring to the phase difference information of the plurality of phase information and the interval between the ports. Furthermore, since the second communication device receives different parts of the same reference signal by different ports, and the second communication device can determine a plurality of third phase information by using one reference signal, the number of reference signals used to calculate the arrival angle can be reduced, which can save network resources and reduce delay.

[0078] In a possible implementation, receiving a first portion of the second reference signal on a fifth time domain resource via a third port by the second communication device includes receiving a first portion of the second reference signal on a fifth time domain resource via a third port connected to a second radio frequency channel by the second communication device, receiving a second portion of the second reference signal on a sixth time domain resource via a fourth port by the second communication device includes transmitting a second portion of the second reference signal on a sixth time domain resource via a fourth port connected to the second radio frequency channel by the second communication device.

[0079] Therefore, in the case of a second communication device including only one radio frequency channel including at least two ports, positioning may alternatively be performed based on phase information corresponding to a second reference signal transmitted by the first communication device, lowering the hardware requirements of the second communication device in a solution performing positioning based on phase information and reducing the cost of the second communication device.

[0080] In a possible implementation, before the second communication device receives the second reference signal, the method further includes the second communication device acquiring fourth configuration information for the second reference signal, the fourth configuration information including indication information of a plurality of time domain resources used to determine the phase information.

[0081] Since the second communication device can receive the second reference signal according to the fourth setting information, the fourth setting information can be set more appropriately for the second communication device according to an application scenario, so that the solution implemented on the side of the second communication device is more appropriate. Furthermore, the manner of flexibly setting the fourth setting information can improve the flexibility of the solution.

[0082] In a possible implementation, the indication of the plurality of time domain resources used for determining the phase information includes information used for determining a number of time domain resource units between two of the plurality of time domain resources used for determining the phase information. In this way, the second communication device may determine the plurality of time domain resources used for determining the phase information based on the information on the number of time domain resource units between the two time domain resources, determine the phase information based on signals received on the plurality of time domain resources, and perform port switching at the positions of the plurality of time domain resource intervals.

[0083] In a possible implementation, the indication of the number of time domain resources used to determine the phase information comprises information about the number of time domain resources used to determine the phase information.

[0084] In a possible implementation, the multiple time domain resources used to determine the phase information are separated by at least one time domain resource unit. In this way, if two adjacent time domain resources in the multiple time domain resources correspond to two different ports, the second communication device may have time to perform a port switching operation between adjacent time domain resources in the multiple time domain resources.

[0085] In a possible implementation, the multiple time domain resources used to determine the phase information are separated by Q2 time domain resource units, where Q2 is a positive integer. In this way, the solution of can be regular, and the number of bits occupied by information indicating the interval between the time domain resources among the multiple time domain resources can be further reduced.

[0086] In a possible implementation, one time domain resource unit is one or more time domain symbols. In this way, the second communication device can obtain a plurality of first phase information at symbol granularity, and then determine the launch angle based on at least one phase information, so as to reduce the delay in the solution of calculating the launch angle based on the behavior information.

[0087] In a possible implementation, the fourth configuration information further includes a correspondence between a plurality of time domain resources used to determine the phase information and a plurality of ports. The second communication device receiving the second reference signal includes, for a time domain resource among the plurality of time domain resources used to determine the phase information, the second communication device receiving the second reference signal by a port corresponding to the time domain resource. In this way, the second communication device can perform port switching based on the fourth configuration information. Since the fourth configuration information can be flexibly configured, the flexibility of the solution can be improved.

[0088] In a possible implementation, two adjacent time domain resources among the plurality of time domain resources used to determine the phase information correspond to two different ports. In this way, the second communication device may obtain two different third phase information based on the signal received at the two adjacent time domain resources among the plurality of time domain resources. By using the two different third phase information, a phase difference may be obtained. If the ports corresponding to every two adjacent time domain resources are different, a maximum number of phase differences may be obtained, which may improve the accuracy of the arrival angle.

[0089] In a possible implementation, one of the multiple ports corresponds to one or more of the multiple time domain resources used to determine the phase information. In this way, in the process of the second communication device transmitting the second reference signal on the multiple time domain resources, one port is used once. In this way, the second communication device can receive the second reference signal by as many different ports as possible, and then the second communication device can obtain the third phase information corresponding to more different ports. More phase differences can be obtained based on the third phase information corresponding to more different ports. It can be seen that with this solution, the number of phase differences will increase, and the accuracy of the arrival angle will be further improved.

[0090] In a possible implementation, the fourth configuration information further includes information regarding a frequency domain resource corresponding to the second reference signal.

[0091] In a possible implementation, the plurality of third phase information are in one-to-one correspondence with the plurality of time domain resources used for determining the phase information. For one of the plurality of third phase information, the third phase information is determined based on a normal path and / or an additional path that a signal received on the time domain resource corresponding to the third phase information takes to arrive at the second communication device. This can improve the flexibility of the solution.

[0111] The following further describes in detail the embodiments of the present application with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0112] The reference signal transmission method provided in the embodiments of the present application can be applied to multiple industries and services to determine the angle used for positioning. The angle used for positioning can be AOD or AOA. The angle used for positioning can be used with reference to other parameters to position people and objects to obtain the position information of people and objects. Furthermore, application development can be performed based on the position information.

[0113] 1a and 1b are diagram examples of two possible system architectures to which the embodiments of the present application are applied. As shown in FIG. 1a, in a possible implementation, the terminal device 104 transmits a reference signal, the terminal device 103 measures the received reference signal to obtain a measurement result, and the terminal device 104 further determines the AOD of the signal transmitted by the terminal device 104 based on the measurement result. Similarly, the terminal device 105 transmits a reference signal, the terminal device 103 measures the received reference signal to obtain a measurement result, and the terminal device 105 further determines the AOD of the signal transmitted by the terminal device 105 based on the measurement result. The AODs corresponding to at least two other terminal devices can be used to locate the terminal device 103.

[0114] In the embodiment of the present application, when two terminal devices need to communicate with each other, the communication may be performed based on a sidelink (direct link), where the sidelink is a link for data communication between two terminal devices via a PC5 interface. The sidelink in the embodiment of the present application may also be called a direct link or a sidelink. When the terminal device is located based on the sidelink, the positioning solution may also be called a sidelink positioning.

[0115] In another possible implementation, the terminal device 103 transmits a reference signal, the terminal device 104 measures the received reference signal to obtain a measurement result, and the terminal device 104 further determines the AOA corresponding to the terminal device 103 based on the measurement result. The terminal device 104 may obtain a relative direction of the terminal device 103. Similarly, the terminal device 105 determines the AOA corresponding to the terminal device 105 based on the reference signal transmitted by the terminal device 103. The AOA corresponding to at least two other terminal devices at known positions may be used to position the terminal device 103.

[0116] As can be seen from the system architecture shown in Fig. 1a, the solution provided in the embodiment of the present application for determining the angle used for positioning can be applied to a scenario involving two terminal devices. The solution provided in the embodiment of the present application can also be applied to a scenario involving a network device and a terminal device. As shown in Fig. 1b, in a possible implementation, the base station 101 transmits a reference signal, the terminal device 103 measures the received reference signal to obtain a measurement result, and the base station 101 further determines the AOD of the signal transmitted by the base station 101 based on the measurement result. Similarly, the base station 102 transmits a reference signal, the terminal device 103 measures the received reference signal to obtain a measurement result, and the base station 102 further determines the AOD of the signal transmitted by the base station 102 based on the measurement result. The AODs corresponding to at least two base stations can be used to position the terminal device 103.

[0117] In another possible implementation, the terminal device 103 transmits a reference signal, the base station 101 measures the received reference signal to obtain a measurement result, and the base station 101 further determines an AOA corresponding to the base station 101 based on the measurement result. Similarly, the base station 102 determines an AOA corresponding to the base station 102 based on the reference signal transmitted by the terminal device 103. The AOAs corresponding to at least two base stations may be used to locate the terminal device 103.

[0118] In addition to the two possible application scenarios shown in Figures 1a and 1b, the embodiments of the present application may also be applied to other scenarios. As another example, the positioning of a base station is performed by using AODs or AOAs corresponding to at least two terminal devices.

[0119] The technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present application are mainly applied to wireless communication systems. The wireless communication systems may comply with the wireless communication standards of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). For example, the solutions provided in the embodiments of the present application may be applied to a 4th generation (4G) communication system, such as a long term evolution (LTE) communication system, or a 5th generation (5G) communication system, such as a 5G new radio (NR) communication system, or various future communication systems, such as a 6th generation (6G) communication system. The technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present application may also comply with other wireless communication standards, such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802 series (e.g., 802.11, 802.15, or 802.20) wireless communication standards. The methods provided in the embodiments of the present application may also be applied to a Bluetooth system, a Wi-Fi system, a LoRa system, or an Internet of Vehicles system. The methods provided in the embodiments of the present application may also be applied to a satellite communication system, which may be integrated with the above communication systems.

[0120] For ease of description, in the embodiment of the present application, the 5G network architecture shown in Figure 1c is used as an example to illustrate a diagram of a possible network architecture to which the embodiment of the present application is applied. The possible network architecture to which the present application is applied may include three parts: a terminal device, an access network device (also called a next generation (NG) radio access network (RAN) device), and a core network.

[0121] The terminal device may include a device that provides voice and / or data connectivity to a user, such as a mobile device with wireless connectivity or a processing device connected to a wireless modem. The terminal device may communicate with the core network through a radio access network (RAN) and exchange voice and / or data with the RAN. A terminal device may include a user equipment (UE), a wireless terminal device, a mobile terminal device, a device-to-device (D2D) communication terminal device, a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) terminal device, a machine-to-machine / machine-type communication (M2M / MTC) terminal device, an internet of things (IoT) terminal device, a subscriber unit, a subscriber station, a mobile station, a remote station, an access point (AP), a remote terminal device, an access terminal device, a user terminal device, a user agent, a user device, etc. For example, a terminal device may include a mobile phone (also called a "cellular" phone), a computer equipped with a mobile terminal device, or a portable, pocket-sized, handheld, or computer-embedded mobile device. For example, the terminal device may be a device such as a personal communication service (PCS) phone, a cordless phone, a session initiation protocol (SIP) phone, a wireless local loop (WLL) station, or a personal digital assistant (PDA). Alternatively, the terminal device may be a tablet computer or a computer equipped with a wireless transceiver function. Alternatively, the terminal device may be a virtual reality (VR) terminal device, an augmented reality (AR) terminal device, a wireless terminal in industrial control, a wireless terminal in autonomous driving, a wireless terminal in telemedicine, a wireless terminal in a smart grid, a wireless terminal in a smart city, a wireless terminal in a smart home, etc. The terminal device may further include a limited device, such as a device with low power consumption, a device with limited memory capacity, or a device with limited computational capacity. For example, the terminal device may include an information sensing device, such as a barcode, a radio frequency identification (RFID), a sensor, a global positioning system (GPS), or a laser scanner.

[0122] An access network (AN) device (e.g., a base station) may be a device that communicates with wireless communication devices over an air interface through one or more cells in the access network. For example, the access network device may include an evolved NodeB (eNB or e-NodeB, evolved NodeB) in an LTE system or long term evolution-advanced (LTE-A), or a next generation NodeB (gNB) in a new radio (NR) system in a 5th generation (5G) mobile communication technology, or a central unit (CU) and a distributed unit (DU) in a cloud radio access network (Cloud RAN) system. This is not limited to the embodiments of the present application.

[0123] As shown in FIG. 1c, an example in which an access network includes a gNB and an Ng-eNB is used for presentation. The Ng-eNB is an LTE base station, and the gNB is an NR base station. The terminal device may communicate with the serving base station through a Uu link. For example, the terminal device can communicate with the Ng-eNB through an LTE-Uu link and with the gNB through an NR-Uu link. The base stations can communicate with each other through an Xn interface.

[0124] Positioning-related network elements in the core network mainly include access and mobility management function (AMF) network elements, and location management function (LMF) network elements, and may further include evolved serving mobile location center (E-SMLC) network elements, unified data management (UDM) network elements, and application function (AF) network elements.

[0125] The base station can communicate with an AMF network element through an NG-C interface, which can be equivalent to a router for communication between the gNB and the LMF.

[0126] The LMF network element can estimate the location of the terminal device, and the AMF communicates with the LMF through the NLs interface.

[0127] The E-SMLC network element is mainly responsible for processing the positioning request of the positioning server and selecting an appropriate AMF network element for the positioning service.

[0128] A service location protocol (SLP) network element may also communicate with the LMF network element and may be involved in processing positioning requests for the positioning service.

[0129] The application scenario to which the embodiments of the present application are applied may further include a location management component (LMC), which may be part of the functional components of the LMF and may be integrated into the gNB on the NG-RAN side.

[0130] The mobility management network element, the location management network element, and the service location protocol network element in the embodiment of the present application may be the AMF, the LMF, the E-SMLC, and the SLP in Fig. 1c, or may be a network element having the functions of the AMF, the LMF, the E-SMLC, and the SLP in a future communication network, for example, a 6th generation (6G) network. This is not limited in the present application. For ease of description, the present application uses an example in which the mobility management network element, the location management network element, and the service location protocol network element are the AMF, the LMF, the E-SMLC, and the SLP for description.

[0131] Based on the above, Figure 2 is a diagram of a possible structure of a wireless communication device according to an embodiment of the present application. The wireless communication device may be a terminal device in an embodiment of the present application, for example, the terminal device in Figure 1a, Figure 1b, or Figure 1c. Alternatively, the wireless communication device may be a network device in an embodiment of the present application. The network device in an embodiment of the present application may be an access network device in Figure 1b or Figure 1c, for example, the base station in Figure 1b or Figure 1c.

[0132] In a possible implementation, the wireless communication device may include a processing circuit and an interface circuit. The interface circuit may include an input circuit and an output circuit. The processing circuit is configured to receive a signal through the input circuit and transmit a signal through the output circuit, thereby implementing the following method. For example, when the wireless communication device is a terminal device, the processing circuit may perform the following method steps, which may be performed on the terminal device side, by controlling the interface circuit. As another example, when the wireless communication device is a network device, the processing circuit may perform the following method steps, etc., which may be performed on the network device side, by controlling the interface circuit.

[0133] In implementation, the interface circuitry may alternatively be a radio frequency processing chip in the wireless communication device, and the processing circuitry may be a baseband processing chip in the wireless communication device.

[0134] In other implementations, the wireless communication device may be part of a component in a wireless communication device, e.g., an integrated circuit product such as a system chip or a communication chip, etc. The interface circuitry may be an input / output interface, interface circuitry, output circuitry, input circuitry, pins, associated circuitry, etc. on a chip or chip system.

[0135] In other implementations, the processing circuitry in the embodiments of the present application may alternatively be part of a processor or a module or unit within a processor, and the interface circuitry may alternatively be part of a radio frequency channel or a component within a radio frequency channel. The processor is configured to control the radio frequency channel such that the following related methods are implemented.

[0136] 2, a wireless communication device may include multiple components, such as an application subsystem, memory, massive storage, a baseband subsystem, a radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC), a ratio frequency front end (RFFE) component, and an antenna (ANT). These components may be coupled through various interconnect buses or other electrical connection schemes.

[0137] The application subsystem of FIG. 2 may be the deployment processor of FIG. 2, or may be a module within the processor.

[0138] In FIG. 2, ANT_1 represents the first antenna, ANT_N represents the Nth antenna, and N is a positive integer greater than 1. Tx represents a transmission path, Rx represents a reception path, and different numbers represent different paths. Each path may represent a signal processing channel. FBRx represents a feedback reception path, PRx represents a primary reception path, and DRx represents a diversity reception path. HB represents a high frequency, LB represents a low frequency, and HB represents a high frequency and LB represents a relative magnitude of the frequency. BB represents a baseband, and it should be understood that the marks and components in FIG. 2 are used merely for illustration and are merely used as possible implementations. The embodiments of the present application further include other implementations. For example, the communication device may include more or fewer paths and more or fewer components.

[0139] The application subsystem may be used as the main control system or main computing system of the communication device, and is configured to execute the main operating system and application programs, manage the software and hardware resources of the entire communication device, and provide a user operation interface to the user. In addition, the application subsystem may also include driver software related to other subsystems (e.g., the baseband subsystem). The application subsystem may include one or more processors.

[0140] In FIG. 2, the radio frequency integrated circuit (including RFIC1 and one or more optional RFIC2) and the radio frequency front-end components may together form a radio frequency subsystem. Based on different signal receiving or transmitting paths, the radio frequency subsystem may be classified into a radio frequency receiving path (RF receiving path) and a radio frequency transmitting path (RF transmitting path). The radio frequency receiving path may receive a radio frequency signal by an antenna, perform processing (e.g., amplification, filtering, and down-conversion) on the radio frequency signal to obtain a baseband signal, and transfer the baseband signal to the baseband subsystem. The radio frequency transmitting path may receive a baseband signal from the baseband subsystem, perform processing (e.g., up-conversion, amplification, and filtering) on the baseband signal to obtain a radio frequency signal, and finally radiate the radio frequency signal into space by an antenna. The radio frequency integrated circuit may be called a radio frequency processing chip or a radio frequency chip.

[0141] Specifically, the radio frequency subsystem may include electronic components such as an antenna switch, an antenna tuner, a low noise amplifier (LNA), a power amplifier (PA), a mixer, a local oscillator (LO), and a filter, which may be integrated into one or more chips as needed. The radio frequency integrated circuit may be called a radio frequency processing chip or a radio frequency chip. The radio frequency front-end device may be a separate chip. The radio frequency chip is sometimes also called a receiver, a transmitter, or a transceiver. As technology evolves, the antenna may sometimes be considered as part of the radio frequency subsystem and may be integrated into the chip of the radio frequency subsystem. The antenna, the radio frequency front-end component, and the radio frequency chip may all be manufactured and sold separately. Indeed, the radio frequency subsystem may alternatively use different components or different integration schemes based on power consumption and performance requirements. For example, some components belonging to the radio frequency front end may be integrated into a radio frequency chip, or both the antenna and the radio frequency front end components may be integrated into a radio frequency chip, which may also be called a radio frequency antenna module or an antenna module.

[0142] Similar to the radio frequency subsystem, which mainly processes radio frequency signals, the baseband subsystem mainly processes baseband signals. The baseband subsystem may extract useful information or data bits from the baseband signal or convert the information or data bits into a baseband signal to be transmitted. The information or data bits may be data representing user data or control information, such as voice, text, and video. For example, the baseband subsystem may implement signal processing operations such as modulation and demodulation, and encoding and decoding. For different radio access technologies, such as 5G NR and 4G LTE, the baseband signal processing operations are not completely the same.

[0143] Furthermore, since radio frequency signals are usually analog signals and the signals processed by the baseband subsystem are mainly digital signals, an analog-to-digital conversion component is further required in the communication device. In this embodiment of the present application, the analog-to-digital conversion component may be located in the baseband subsystem or in the radio frequency subsystem. The analog-to-digital conversion component includes an analog to digital converter (ADC) for converting analog signals to digital signals and a digital to analog converter (DAC) for converting digital signals to analog signals. Similar to the application subsystem, the baseband subsystem may also include one or more processors.

[0144] Further, the communication device further includes a memory, for example, the memory and mass storage device of FIG. 2. Further, each of the application subsystem and the baseband subsystem may further include one or more caches. In the embodiment of the present application, the memory may be classified into a volatile memory and a non-volatile memory (NVM). A volatile memory is a memory in which data stored in the memory is lost when the power supply is interrupted. Currently, the volatile memory is mainly a random access memory (RAM), including a static random access memory (SRAM) and a dynamic random access memory (DRAM). A non-volatile memory is a memory in which data stored in the memory is not lost even if the power supply is interrupted. Common non-volatile memories include a read-only memory (ROM), an optical disk, a magnetic disk, various memories based on flash memory technology, and the like. In general, a volatile memory may be used for a memory and a cache, and a non-volatile memory may be used for a mass storage device, for example, a flash memory.

[0145] In describing the solutions provided in the embodiments of the present application, the names and terms in the embodiments of the present application will be explained first.

[0146] (1) Port

[0147] In an embodiment of the present application, the second communication device may transmit one reference signal through one logical port. The logical port may include multiple physical ports. The multiple physical ports may be divided into multiple groups of ports, and each group of ports may include one or more of the multiple physical ports. In an embodiment of the present application, the second communication device may transmit a first reference signal through one logical port. For example, the second communication device may transmit a first reference signal by switching multiple groups of ports. For example, the second communication device may transmit a first portion of the first reference signal through one port group in the multiple groups of ports, and then transmit a second portion of the first reference signal through another port group in the multiple groups of ports. The "first port" and "second port" used to transmit the first reference signal and described in the following content in the embodiment of the present application may be two port groups in the multiple groups of ports. Each port group in the two port groups may include one or more physical ports, and the physical ports included in the two port groups may or may not overlap.

[0148] Similarly, in the embodiment of the present application, the second communication device may receive one reference signal through one logical port. The logical port may include multiple physical ports. The multiple physical ports may be divided into multiple groups of ports, and each group of ports may include one or more of the multiple physical ports. In the embodiment of the present application, the second communication device may receive the second reference signal through one logical port. For example, the second communication device may receive the second reference signal by switching the multiple groups of ports. For example, the second communication device may receive a first portion of the second reference signal through one port group in the multiple groups of ports, and then receive a second portion of the second reference signal through another port group in the multiple groups of ports. The "third port" and "fourth port" used to receive the second reference signal and described in the subsequent content of the embodiment of the present application may be two port groups in the multiple groups of ports. Each port group in the two port groups may include one or more physical ports, and the physical ports included in the two port groups may or may not overlap.

[0149] In other words, a port (e.g., a "first port" and a "second port" used to transmit a first reference signal or a "third port" and a "fourth port" used to receive a second reference signal) located on the second communication device side and described in an embodiment of the present application may be a logical port. A logical port may include one physical port or may include multiple physical ports. When a port includes one physical port, the port may also be understood to be a physical port.

[0150] In an embodiment of the present application, a port used to communicate (transmit or receive) a reference signal may also be referred to as an antenna, an antenna port, an antenna interface, an antenna transmit port, an antenna receive port, a phase measurement port, or a phase measurement interface. Furthermore, in an embodiment of the present application, a physical port on the second communication device side that is used to communicate (transmit or receive) a reference signal may also be referred to as a physical antenna, a physical antenna port, or a physical antenna interface. Furthermore, in an embodiment of the present application, a physical port on the second communication device side that is used to transmit a reference signal may also be referred to as a physical antenna transmit port, and a physical port on the second communication device side that is used to receive a reference signal may also be referred to as a physical antenna receive port.

[0151] The port used to communicate the reference signal described in the embodiments of the present application may be the antenna (ANT) described in FIG. 2, or may be understood as a port of the antenna (ANT) described in FIG. 2 that is connected to a radio frequency front end.

[0152] (2) Spacing between ports

[0153] In the embodiment of the present application, the concept of the interval between ports is used in the process of determining the AOA or AOD. For example, if the AOD corresponding to the second communication device needs to be calculated in the following content, the calculation needs to be performed with reference to the interval between the first port and the second port. If the AOA corresponding to the second communication device needs to be calculated, the calculation needs to be performed with reference to the interval between the third port and the fourth port. The following describes how to calculate the interval between ports by using the calculation of the interval between the first port and the second port as an example.

[0154] When the first port includes only one physical port, the first port may also be understood to be a physical port. When the second port includes only one physical port, the second port may also be understood to be a physical port. In this case, the spacing between the first port and the second port may be the spacing between two physical ports.

[0155] When the first port includes multiple physical ports, the first port may be understood as a logical port. When the second port includes multiple physical ports, the second port may be understood as a logical port. In this case, the interval between the first port and the second port may be the interval between the preset positions of the two logical ports. One logical port corresponds to one preset position. The preset position of the logical port may be a geometric center position of the multiple physical ports corresponding to the logical port, or may be a position within the area of the multiple physical ports corresponding to the logical port, for example, the position of one physical port among the multiple physical ports corresponding to the logical port.

[0156] When the first port is a physical port and the second port is a logical port, or when the first port is a logical port and the second port is a physical port, the interval between the first port and the second port may be the interval between the position of the physical port and a preset position of the logical port.

[0157] Figure 3 is an example diagram of the spacing between two ports (port a and port b) arranged in a communication device. The following is given with reference to Figure 3. Figure 3 may be a diagram of the arrangement of port a and port b in the hardware structure of the communication device. Port a may be the first port and port b may be the second port, or port a may be the third port and port b may be the fourth port.

[0158] As shown in (a) of Figure 3, port a is a physical port (i.e., port a includes one physical port), and port b is a physical port (i.e., port b includes one physical port). The interval between port a and port b may be the distance between port a and port b.

[0159] As shown in FIG. 3(b), port a is a logical port and includes four physical ports (e.g., port a is a 2×2 array), and port b is a logical port and includes four physical ports (e.g., port a is a 2×2 port array). The preset position of port a is the geometric center point of the 2×2 port array. The preset position of port b is the geometric center point of the 2×2 port array. The spacing between port a and port b may be the spacing between the geometric center point of port a and the geometric center point of port b.

[0160] As shown in FIG. 3(c), port a is a logical port and includes four physical ports (e.g., port a is a 2×2 port array), and port b is a logical port and includes four physical ports (e.g., port a is a 2×2 port array). The preset position of port a is the position of the first port in the second row. The preset position of port b is the position of the first port in the second row. The spacing between port a and port b may be the spacing between the first port in the second row corresponding to port a and the first port in the second row corresponding to port b.

[0161] As shown in (d) of FIG. 3, port a is a logical port and includes four physical ports (e.g., port a is a 2×2 port array), and port b is a logical port and includes four physical ports (e.g., port a is a 2×2 port array). The preset position of port a is the position of the first port in the second row. The preset position of port b is the position of the second port in the second row. The spacing between port a and port b may be the spacing between the first port in the second row corresponding to port a and the second port in the second row corresponding to port b.

[0162] The spacing between the ports is just an example. In a specific implementation, the spacing between the two ports may be determined based on the actual situation.

[0163] (3) Reference signal

[0164] The reference signals in the embodiments of the present application (e.g., the first and second reference signals described in the following content) may be signals used to calculate angles, and may be, for example, a positioning reference signal (PRS), a sounding reference signal (SRS), a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS), a demodulation reference signal (DMRS), a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS), a positioning reference signal (PRS), a cell reference signal (CRS), or a synchronization signal / physical broadcast channel block (SS / PBCH block). The SS / PBCH block may be abbreviated as SSB. For example, the first reference signal may be, for example, a PRS, and the second reference signal may be, for example, an SRS.

[0165] The reference signal in the embodiment of the present application may include multiple parts, such as a first part of a first reference signal and a second part of the first reference signal described in the following text, and a first part of a second reference signal and a second part of the second reference signal described in the following text, each of which is data in a portion of the bits of the reference signal.

[0166] For example, the first portion of the first reference signal is data of a portion of all bits of the first reference signal, and the second portion of the first reference signal is data of a portion of all bits of the first reference signal, in other words, the first portion of the first reference signal and the second portion of the first reference signal are bits in a reference signal generated based on the same signal sequence.

[0167] As another example, the first portion of the second reference signal is data of a portion of all bits of the second reference signal, and the second portion of the second reference signal is data of a portion of all bits of the second reference signal, in other words, the first portion of the second reference signal and the second portion of the second reference signal are bits in a reference signal generated based on the same signal sequence.

[0168] In another possible implementation, the reference signal in the embodiment of the present application may correspond to multiple segments of time domain symbols. The first reference signal is used as an example for illustration. All time domain resources occupied by the first reference signal may be divided into multiple segments of time domain resources. Each segment of the time domain resource includes one or more consecutive time domain symbols, and two adjacent time domain resources are separated by at least one time domain symbol. The second communication device transmits the first reference signal in all time domain resources occupied by the first reference signal, and the second communication device transmits data in a part of all bits of the first reference signal in the segment of the time domain resource.

[0169] In an embodiment of the present application, data to be transmitted that is in a first reference signal and corresponds to a segment of a time domain resource among all time domain resources occupied by the first reference signal may be referred to as a portion of the first reference signal. For example, data to be transmitted that is in a first reference signal and corresponds to a first segment of a time domain resource among all time domain resources occupied by the first reference signal is referred to as a first portion of the first reference signal. Data to be transmitted that is in a first reference signal and corresponds to a second segment of a time domain resource among all time domain resources occupied by the first reference signal is referred to as a second portion of the first reference signal. This example also applies to a second reference signal. For example, data to be transmitted that is in a second reference signal and corresponds to a third segment of a first segment of a time domain resource among all time domain resources occupied by the second reference signal may be referred to as a first portion of the second reference signal. Data to be transmitted that is in a second reference signal and corresponds to a fourth segment of a time domain segment among all time domain resources occupied by the second reference signal is referred to as a second portion of the second reference signal. The following uses the first reference signal as an example for explanation. The relevant content of the second reference signal is similar to that of the first reference signal, and the details will not be described again.

[0170] In an embodiment of the present application, there is a correspondence between the multiple segments of the time domain resource of the first reference signal and the multiple ports of the second communication device. For a segment of the time domain resource, the second communication device transmits a part of data of the first reference signal on the segment of the time domain resource by a port corresponding to the segment of the time domain resource. The port 1 corresponding to the first segment of the time domain resource among the multiple segments of the time domain resource corresponding to the first reference signal, and the port 2 corresponding to the second segment of the time domain resource among the multiple segments of the time domain resource corresponding to the first reference signal are two different ports of the second communication device. In this way, the second communication device transmits the first reference signal by at least two different ports, so that the first communication device can obtain at least two pieces of phase information based on the first reference signal, and then determine the launch angle of the first reference signal by referring to the multiple phase information corresponding to the first reference signal.

[0171] A segment of time domain resources among the multiple segments of time domain resources corresponding to the first reference signal may correspond to one or more ports of the second communication device. It can be understood that the second communication device transmits data within a portion of all bits of the first reference signal and corresponding to the time domain segment through one or more ports. One port of the second communication device may correspond to one or more segments of time domain resources among the multiple segments of time domain resources. In other words, in the process of the second communication device transmitting the first reference signal, one port may be used once or may be used multiple times.

[0172] In a possible implementation, multiple segments of the time domain resource corresponding to the first reference signal may belong to the same slot.

[0173] In another possible implementation, the multiple segments of the time domain resource corresponding to the first reference signal may alternatively belong to multiple slots. For example, the multiple segments of the time domain resource are in one-to-one correspondence with the multiple ports. In this case, two of the multiple segments of the time domain resource correspond to two different slots. As another example, one of the multiple segments of the time domain resource corresponds to one or more slots. As another example, one of the multiple slots corresponds to one or more of the multiple segments of the time domain resource. One slot may correspond to one or more ports of the second communication device, and one port of the second communication device may correspond to one or more of the multiple slots corresponding to the multiple segments of the time domain resource. For example, the multiple slots are in one-to-one correspondence with the multiple ports of the second communication device. In this case, the second communication device may transmit the first reference signal in multiple slots through multiple ports. Data in a portion of all bits of the first reference signal is transmitted in each slot, and the two ports used to transmit the signal in the two slots are different.

[0174] (3.1) The concept of one reference signal

[0175] In possible implementation, one reference signal in the embodiment of the present application may be a reference signal corresponding to one resource ID. The following uses the first reference signal as an example for explanation. The content of the second reference signal is similar to that of the first reference signal, and the details are not described again.

[0176] For example, when the first reference signal is an SRS, the resource identifier (resource ID) of the first reference signal may be configured in the SRS configuration information (SRS-Config). For example, the resource identifier (resource ID) configured in the SRS configuration information (SRS-Config) is 1. The SRS configuration information (SRS-Config) further includes information such as time domain resources and frequency domain resources configured for the reference signal whose resource identifier (resource ID) is 1. The time domain resources used by the second communication device to transmit the first reference signal may be a part of all time domain resources configured for the reference signal whose resource identifier (resource ID) is 1 in the configuration information (SRS-Config).

[0177] For example, the time domain resource set for a reference signal having a resource identifier (resource ID) of 1 in the configuration information (SRS-Config) is a sequence of continuous time domain symbols. In an actual process of transmitting a first reference signal, the second communication device transmits a first portion of the first reference signal in a third time domain resource through a first port, and transmits a second portion of the second reference signal in a fourth time domain resource through a second port. The third time domain resource is a part of the time domain resource set for the reference signal having a resource identifier (resource ID) of 1 in the configuration information (SRS-Config), and the fourth time domain resource is a part of the time domain resource set for the reference signal having a resource identifier (resource ID) of 1 in the configuration information (SRS-Config). The first portion of the first reference signal is a part of data corresponding to the reference signal having a resource identifier (resource ID) of 1, and the second portion of the first reference signal is also a part of data corresponding to the reference signal having a resource identifier (resource ID) of 1.

[0178] Similarly, when the first reference signal is a PRS, the resource ID of the first reference signal may be configured in the PRS configuration information (PRS-info). The resource ID of the first part of the first reference signal is the same as the resource ID of the second part of the first reference signal. For related content, please refer to the description of the first reference signal being an SRS. The details will not be described again.

[0179] Similarly, the resource ID of the first part of the second reference signal is the same as the resource ID of the second part of the second reference signal. For related content, please refer to the related description of the first reference signal. The details will not be described again.

[0180] In another possible implementation, in the embodiment of the present application, a reference signal generated based on one signal sequence (a signal sequence may correspond to one sequence ID) may be referred to as one reference signal. A first reference signal is used as an example. In the embodiment of the present application, the first part of the first reference signal and the second part of the first reference signal are two parts of a reference signal generated based on the same signal sequence. In other words, the signal sequence corresponding to the first part of the first reference signal is the same as the signal sequence corresponding to the second part of the first reference signal.

[0181] For example, the first reference signal is an SRS, and the first reference signal is

number

number

[0182] In formula (1),

number

[0183] In this embodiment of the present application, the first portion of the first reference signal and the second portion of the first reference signal are

number

[0184] As another example, the first reference signal may be a PRS, and the sequence of one first reference signal may be represented by equation (2):

number

[0185] In equation (2), the pseudorandom sequence c(i) includes two m-sequences,

number

[0186] Here, N C = 1600, and the first m-sequence x 1 (n) is

number

number

number

[0187] where n s,f μ is the number of slots, and N symb slot is the number of symbols in one slot, and n ID,seq PRS is a sequence ID. The sequence ID may be set by using the configuration information of the first reference signal.

[0188] In this embodiment of the present application, the first portion of the first reference signal and the second portion of the first reference signal are stored in one signal sequence (with sequence ID identifier n ID,seq PRS It can be understood that the first reference signal is generated based on the signal sequence identifier n of the first reference signal. In other words, the signal sequence corresponding to the first part of the first reference signal is the same as the signal sequence corresponding to the second part of the first reference signal. ID,seq PRS may be configured in the configuration information of the first reference signal. The signal sequence identifiers of both the first part of the first reference signal and the second part of the first reference signal may be the signal sequence identifier n ID,seq PRS It may be.

[0189] (4) Slot nominal time domain symbol

[0190] A slot may also be called a slot and may be understood as a time slice or a time domain resource. A time domain symbol may also be called a symbol and may be understood as a time slice or a time domain resource. A slot may include one or more time domain symbols.

[0191] Based on the above, Fig. 4 is a schematic flow chart example of an AOD determination method according to an embodiment of the present application. In order to more clearly describe the solution provided in the embodiment of the present application, Fig. 4 is described in terms of interaction. The method can be performed by a first communication device and a second communication device.

[0192] The first communication device may be a terminal device (e.g., the terminal device 103 in FIG. 1a or FIG. 1b, or the terminal device in FIG. 1c), or may be a module, unit, or chip in the terminal device, or may be a network device (e.g., the access network device in FIG. 1c), or may be a module, unit, or chip in the network device. The second communication device may be a terminal device (e.g., the terminal device 104 or the terminal device 105 in FIG. 1a, or the terminal device in FIG. 1c), or may be a module, unit, or chip in the terminal device, or may be a network device (e.g., the base station 101 or the base station 102 in FIG. 1b, or the access network device in FIG. 1c), or may be a module, unit, or chip in the network device. The first communication device and the second communication device may be flexibly selected. For example, the first communication device and the second communication device may both be terminal devices (e.g., the scenario shown in FIG. 1a), or may be network devices. Alternatively, the first communication device and the second communication device are a network device and a terminal device, respectively. For example, the first communication device is a network device, and the second communication device is a terminal device. As another example, the first communication device is a terminal device, and the second communication device is a network device (for example, the scenario shown in FIG. 1b). For clearer description in the following content, an example in which the first communication device is a terminal device (for example, the terminal device in FIG. 1b) and the second communication device is a network device (the base station in FIG. 1b) is used for explanation.

[0193] As shown in FIG. 4, the AOD determination method includes the following steps:

[0194] S201: A second communication device generates a first reference signal.

[0195] S202: The second communication device transmits a first reference signal to the first communication device on a plurality of time domain resources, where two of the plurality of time domain resources used to transmit the first reference signal correspond to two different ports used to transmit the first reference signal.

[0196] S203: The first communication device obtains first configuration information of a first reference signal, where the first configuration information includes indication information of a plurality of time domain resources used for determining the phase information.

[0197] S204: The first communication device receives a first reference signal and determines a plurality of first phase information corresponding to a plurality of time domain resources used to determine the phase information.

[0198] For ease of distinction, in this embodiment of the present application, the multiple time domain resources used for transmitting the first reference signal at the second communication device side may be referred to as S1 time domain resources, where S1 is an integer greater than 1. The multiple time domain resources used for determining the phase information at the first communication device side may be referred to as S2 time domain resources, where S2 is an integer greater than 1.

[0199] The first configuration information at S203 may include indication information of the S2 time domain resources. At S204, the first communication device may determine a plurality of first phase information corresponding to the first reference signal received on the S2 time domain resources.

[0200] There may be multiple possible correspondences between the S2 time domain resources and the multiple first phase information. In a possible implementation, the first communication device may determine one first phase information based on one or more of the S2 time domain resources. For example, the first communication device may determine S2 first phase information corresponding to the S2 time domain resources, and the multiple first phase information is in one-to-one correspondence with the S2 time domain resources. As another example, the first communication device may determine multiple (may be less than S2) first phase information corresponding to time domain resources among the S2 time domain resources. For example, S2 is 8. The first communication device may determine six first phase information corresponding to eight time domain resources. For example, the six first phase information may be determined based on signals received at six of the eight time domain resources. As another example, five first phase information may be determined based on signals received at five of the eight time domain resources, and one first phase information may be determined based on signals received at the remaining three time domain resources among the eight time domain resources.

[0201] In S204, the first communication device may receive the entire first reference signal through one port. Alternatively, the first communication device may receive the first reference signal through multiple ports, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application. In this way, the requirement of the AOD determination solution in the hardware of the first communication device is lowered, and the cost of the first communication device can be reduced.

[0202] S2051: The first communication device transmits second phase information, where the second phase information is determined based on a plurality of pieces of first phase information.

[0203] The first communication device can determine a plurality of time domain resources for which phase information needs to be determined based on the first configuration information, and determine the plurality of phase information based on the plurality of time domain resources. Thus, the AOD of the reference signal can be further determined based on the plurality of phase information. Since the present application can provide a solution of determining the AOD based on the phase information, it can be seen that there may be one further optional solution when the angle used for positioning needs to be determined.

[0204] The following provides a further explanation with reference to Figures 5a and 5b.

[0205] FIG. 5a is an example of a diagram of a possible structure of a communication device. As shown in FIG. 5a, the communication device may include one or more radio frequency channels, and each radio frequency channel may include multiple ports. FIG. 5a is represented by using a first radio frequency channel 43 and a second radio frequency channel 53. Each radio frequency channel may be connected to one or more ports. In FIG. 5a, an example is used for presentation in which the port array 44 connected to the first radio frequency channel 43 includes multiple physical ports, and the port array 54 connected to the second radio frequency channel 53 includes multiple physical ports.

[0206] The ports in the port array in Figure 5a may include the antennas in Figure 2. The first radio frequency channel 43 in Figure 5a may include components and modules in the RFFE in Figure 2 (which may be, for example, a filter) and may also include components and modules in the RFIC in Figure 2 (which may be, for example, a frequency mixer). The second radio frequency channel 53 in Figure 5a may include components and modules in the RFFE in Figure 2 (which may be, for example, a filter) and may also include components and modules in the RFIC in Figure 2 (which may be, for example, a frequency mixer). The baseband subsystem in Figure 5a may be the baseband subsystem in Figure 2. The processor 41 in Figure 5a may be the processor in the baseband subsystem in Figure 2.

[0207] As shown in FIG. 5a, in a possible AOD determination solution, the second communication device may transmit multiple positioning reference signals (PRS) corresponding to multiple beams to the first communication device. The first communication device measures the PRS of the multiple beams to obtain the RSRP corresponding to each beam. Then, the second communication device or a positioning server (e.g., LMF) may calculate the AOD of the reference signal by referring to the Reference signal received power (RSRP) and the transmission beam directivity pattern of the base station. In this solution, the AOD is calculated based on the RSRP, and the second communication device usually needs to transmit eight reference signals corresponding to at least eight beams. If the second communication device sets a small number of radio frequency channels, for example, sets only one radio frequency channel, the second communication device needs to transmit eight reference signals in sequence. It can be seen that the delay in this solution is large. In order to improve efficiency, the second communication device may need to set eight radio frequency channels, so the second communication device may simultaneously transmit eight reference signals corresponding to eight beams through eight radio frequency channels. Although this solution can improve efficiency, it requires that a large number of radio frequency channels be set up for the second communication device, which is costly.

[0208] In practical application, in order to reduce cost, a small number of radio frequency channels are usually configured in a communication device, but a large number of physical ports are usually configured. For example, for some high-frequency communication devices, only one radio frequency channel can be configured, but the radio frequency channel can be configured with 4 to 8 physical ports. For a communication device with a small number of radio frequency channels, for example, for the communication device shown in Fig. 5a, the communication device needs to spend a long time to transmit seven reference signals corresponding to at least eight beams, and the delay is long.

[0209] In a possible solution provided in this embodiment of the present application, a switch may be disposed between the radio frequency channel and the port. For one data transmission, the radio frequency channel does not necessarily perform data transmission by all ports connected to the radio frequency channel, and the switch may select one or more ports among all ports corresponding to the radio frequency channel to perform data transmission. Please refer to FIG. 5b. FIG. 5b shows an example of a diagram of a communication device obtained by adding a switch to the communication device shown in FIG. 5a. As shown in FIG. 5b, the first radio frequency channel 43 may be connected to each port in the port array 44 through the switch 45. The second radio frequency channel 53 may be connected to each port in the port array 54 through the switch 55. It should be noted that either the switch 45 or the switch 55 may be a logic circuit switch or other component that can control the first radio frequency channel to be selectively connected or not connected to a port.

[0210] Based on the architecture of the second communication device shown in Fig. 5b, in S202, the second communication device may select a port that needs to be used in the process of transmitting a first reference signal by using a switch. Thus, the second communication device may sequentially transmit signals through multiple ports connected to one radio frequency channel. The first communication device obtains a plurality of first phase information corresponding to at least two of the multiple ports through measurement. Furthermore, the AOD may be calculated by a device such as the second communication device or another device (e.g., a positioning server) with reference to the second phase information (the second phase information is determined based on the plurality of first phase information) and the interval between the ports among the at least two ports.

[0211] As can be seen from the above, in the solution provided in this embodiment of the present application, the corresponding phase information can be calculated at the granularity of the port (the granularity of the port can affect the accuracy of the phase information) to obtain the AOD. Compared with the solution in which the AOD is calculated at the granularity of the radio frequency channel (the accuracy of the AOD depends on the number of the radio frequency channel), in this embodiment of the present application, the requirement for the number of the radio frequency channel on the second communication device side can be lowered if the AOD calculation accuracy is ensured. Therefore, the cost of the second communication device can be reduced.

[0212] In a possible implementation, in S202, the second communication device may transmit one first reference signal to the first communication device with multiple time domain resources through multiple ports. The following uses the first port and the second port among the multiple ports of the second communication device as an example for explanation, but this does not indicate that the multiple ports of the second communication device only include two ports. The second communication device may further continue to transmit other parts of the first reference signal through ports other than the first port and the second port. For example, in S202, the second communication device transmits a first part of the first reference signal with a third time domain resource through a first port among the multiple ports. The second communication device transmits a second part of the first reference signal with a fourth time domain resource through a second port among the multiple ports. The first part of the first reference signal is used to determine one of the multiple first phase information, and the second part of the first reference signal is used to determine the other one of the multiple first phase information.

[0213] In S204, the first communication device may receive a first reference signal in a plurality of time domain resources and determine a plurality of first phase information corresponding to the plurality of time domain resources. The following uses a first time domain resource and a second time domain resource among the plurality of time domain resources as an example for explanation, but this does not indicate that the plurality of time domain resources only includes two time domain resources. A first portion of the first reference signal is received in the first time domain resource, and one of the plurality of first phase information is determined based on the first portion of the first reference signal. The first communication device receives a second portion of the first reference signal in a second time domain resource, and determines another one of the plurality of first phase information based on the second portion of the first reference signal.

[0214] It should be noted that there is no absolute order between S202 and S204, and S202 and S204 may be performed in a cross manner. For example, S202 may be performed first, and then S204 may be performed. Alternatively, in the process of performing S202, S204 may also be performed. For example, the step of determining, by the first communication device, a piece of first phase information based on the first portion of the first reference signal is performed after the first portion of the first reference signal is received and before the first communication device receives the second portion of the first reference signal. The step of determining, by the first communication device, a piece of first phase information based on the first portion of the first reference signal may alternatively be performed after the second portion of the first reference signal is received. In other words, there is no absolute order between the time indicated by the first time domain resource and the time indicated by the fourth time domain resource. The time indicated by the first time domain resource may be earlier than, later than, or equal to the time indicated by the fourth time domain resource. This is not limited in the embodiment of the present application.

[0215] Since the first and second parts of the first reference signal are transmitted by different ports of the second communication device, after obtaining a plurality of phase information by measurement based on the signals transmitted by the different ports, the first communication device can calculate the launch angle by referring to the phase difference information of the plurality of phase information and the interval between the ports. Furthermore, since the second communication device transmits different parts of the same reference signal by different ports, and the first communication device can determine a plurality of first phase information by using one reference signal, the number of reference signals used to calculate the launch angle is reduced, which can save network resources and reduce delay.

[0216] In another possible implementation, in S202, the second communication device may transmit multiple reference signals to the first communication device with multiple time domain resources through multiple ports, where one port corresponds to one reference signal. The first communication device measures each reference signal to obtain one phase information corresponding to each reference signal. For example, the second communication device may transmit one first phase information through one port and transmit one third reference signal through another port. The first communication device may determine one phase information based on the received first reference signal, and determine another phase information based on the received other third reference signal. Then, the positioning server (e.g., LMF) may determine the launch angle based on two phase information corresponding to the two reference signals (the first reference signal and the second reference signal).

[0217] It is noted that in this embodiment of the present application, there is at least one physical port among the physical ports included in the first port that is different from each of all physical ports included in the second port. Alternatively, there is at least one physical port among the physical ports included in the second port that is different from each of all physical ports included in the first port. Furthermore, the physical ports included in the first port and the physical ports included in the second port may or may not overlap.

[0218] In a possible implementation, the first port and the second port may have a selective connection relationship with the same radio frequency channel. For example, the first port and the second port are both ports that have a selective connection relationship with the first radio frequency channel. The second communication device transmits a first portion of the first reference signal with a third time domain resource through the first port connected to the first radio frequency channel. The second communication device transmits a second portion of the first reference signal with a fourth time domain resource through the second port connected to the first radio frequency channel.

[0219] In another possible implementation, the second communication device may alternatively transmit the first reference signal through multiple ports of multiple radio frequency channels. For example, the second communication device may transmit a first portion of the first reference signal through a first port of the first radio frequency channel and one or more ports of the second radio frequency channel, and the second communication device may transmit a second portion of the first reference signal through a second port of the first radio frequency channel and one or more ports of another radio frequency channel (e.g., the second radio frequency channel). In order to more clearly describe the solution provided in the embodiment of the present application, a first radio frequency channel among the multiple radio frequency channels used to transmit the first reference signal is described in this embodiment of the present application.

[0220] FIG. 6 is an example of a diagram in which the first radio frequency channel 43 of FIG. 5b is connected to a port in a port array 44 via a switch 45. In FIG. 6, an example in which the first radio frequency channel 43 is connected to eight physical ports is used for presentation. The eight physical ports are port 441, port 442, port 443, port 444, port 445, port 446, port 447, and port 448, respectively. For example, referring to FIG. 6, the first port may be, for example, port 441, and the second port may be, for example, port 442. As another example, the first port may be, for example, port 441 and port 442, and the second port may be, for example, port 442 and port 443. As another example, the first port may be, for example, port 441 and port 442, and the second port may be, for example, port 447 and port 448.

[0221] In another possible implementation, the first port and the second port may be two ports connected to two radio frequency channels, for example the first port is the port connected to the first radio frequency channel 43 in Fig. 5b and the second port is the port connected to the second radio frequency channel 53 in Fig. 5b.

[0222] In this embodiment of the present application, there may be multiple possible implementations of the correspondence between the S1 time domain resources and the ports, for example, implementation a1, implementation a2, implementation a3, and implementation a4 shown in the following content.

[0223] Implementation a1: Two of the S1 time domain resources used for transmitting the first reference signal correspond to two different ports used for transmitting the first reference signal.

[0224] Implementation a1 can also be understood as at least two of the S1 time domain resources corresponding to different ports. In this way, the second communication device transmits a first reference signal through at least two different ports, so that the first communication device can measure the signal transmitted through at least two different ports to obtain at least two first phase information. The at least two first phase information can correspond to at least one phase difference, and then the launch angle can be determined based on the phase difference. Thus, for a second communication device that includes only one radio frequency channel including at least two ports, the positioning is alternatively performed based on the phase information corresponding to the first reference signal transmitted by the second communication device, which can lower the requirements for the hardware of the second communication device in the solution of performing positioning based on phase information and reduce the cost of the second communication device.

[0225] Implementation a2: One of the multiple ports corresponds to one of the S1 time domain resources.

[0226] In this way, in the process in which the second communication device transmits the first reference signal in the S1 time domain resources, one port is used once. In this way, the second communication device can transmit the first reference signal through as many different ports as possible, and then the first communication device can obtain the first phase information corresponding to more different ports. More phase differences can be obtained based on the first phase information corresponding to more different ports. It can be seen that this solution increases the number of phase differences and can further improve the accuracy of the launch angle.

[0227] Implementation a3: One of the multiple ports corresponds to multiple time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources.

[0228] In this way, in the process in which the second communication device transmits the first reference signal on the S1 time domain resources, one port can be used multiple times. In this case, one port can be set as a reference port to provide calibration for other ports. Furthermore, since the port is reused multiple times, the number of ports required in this solution can be reduced, which can lower the hardware requirements of the second communication device and reduce the cost of the second communication device.

[0229] Implementation a4: Two adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources correspond to two different ports.

[0230] In this way, in the process of transmitting the first reference signal in S1 time domain resources in S202, the second communication device needs to change the port after transmitting the signal in one time domain resource, so as to transmit the signal in the next time domain resource. In this way, the first communication device may obtain two different first phase information based on the signal transmitted in two adjacent time domain resources. By using the two different first phase information, a phase difference may be obtained. If the ports corresponding to every two adjacent time domain resources are different, the maximum number of phase differences may be obtained, so that the accuracy of the launch angle may be improved.

[0231] In this embodiment of the present application, the S1 time domain resources may also have multiple possible implementations. For example, the following implementations b1, b2, b3, and b4 are examples of some possible implementations of the S1 time domain resources.

[0232] Implementation b1: Within the S1 time domain resources, two time domain resources corresponding to different ports are separated by at least one time domain resource unit.

[0233] The second communication device transmits the first reference signal by at least two different ports, so as to reserve time for the second communication device to perform port switching in the process of transmitting the first reference signal, and two time domain resources corresponding to different ports within S1 time domain resources are separated by at least one time domain resource unit. In this way, the second communication device can have time to perform a port switching operation.

[0234] Implementation b2: Two adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources are separated by at least one time domain resource unit.

[0235] In this way, if two adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources correspond to two different ports, the second communication device may have time to perform a port switching operation between adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources.

[0236] Implementation b3: adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources are separated by Q1 time domain resource units, where Q1 is a positive integer.

[0237] Because this solution is regular, the number of bits occupied by information indicating the intervals between the time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources can be further reduced.

[0238] Implementation b4: One time domain resource unit may be one or more time domain symbols.

[0239] The time domain resource unit may also be referred to as a resource element (RE). In this way, in the process of the second communication device transmitting the first reference signal, the port switching may be performed at the time domain symbol level, and the first communication device may obtain a plurality of first phase information at the time domain symbol level. Compared with the solution in which the second communication device transmits a plurality of first reference signals and the first communication device obtains one first phase information by measuring each first reference signal, the first communication device knows information about the time domain resource for determining the first phase information, so that the event of determining one first phase information based on data received at a plurality of adjacent time domain symbols can be reduced (because the data received at a plurality of adjacent time domain symbols can be regarded as one signal by the receiving end and cannot be distinguished). In this way, the first communication device can obtain a plurality of first phase information at the symbol granularity, and then determine the launch angle based on the phase information of at least one reference signal. This can reduce the delay of the solution of calculating the launch angle based on the behavior information.

[0240] In a possible implementation, the S1 time domain resources are S1 time domain resources in one slot. The first reference signal may be transmitted together with the data or may be transmitted separately. Figures 7a and 7b show examples of diagrams of several possible patterns of the S1 time domain resources corresponding to the first reference signal.

[0241] As shown in Figure 7a, the first reference signal and data (e.g., physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) and / or demodulation reference signal (DMRS)) may be transmitted in the same slot. As shown in Figure 7b, the first reference signal may be transmitted separately, i.e., not together with the data (e.g., PDCCH and / or DMRS), and the first reference signal may occupy S1 time domain resources in the slot.

[0242] As shown in Figures 7a and 7b, two adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources are separated by one time domain resource unit. In this way, the second communication device can transmit a signal once at an interval of one time domain resource unit in one slot and perform port switching with the separated time domain resource units.

[0243] Based on the above, Figures 7c and 7d show some possible correspondence examples between S1 time domain resources and ports. These examples are presented by using the ports in the first radio frequency channel shown in Figure 6 as examples.

[0244] As shown in Fig. 7c, the S1 time domain resources are 8 time domain symbols in one slot, and every two adjacent time domain symbols are separated by one time domain symbol. The ports corresponding to the 8 time domain symbols may be port 441, port 442, port 443, port 444, port 445, port 446, port 447, and port 448 in order. In a possible implementation, the ports have port identifiers, and there may be a pre-set sorting relationship between the port identifiers. For example, the sorting relationship is port 441, port 442, port 443, port 444, port 445, port 446, port 447, and port 448. In a possible implementation, the port switching rule is the same as the pre-set sorting relationship of the port identifiers. In this way, the complexity of the solution can be reduced.

[0245] As shown in Fig. 7d, the S1 time domain resources are 8 time domain symbols in one slot, and every two adjacent time domain symbols are separated by one time domain symbol. The ports corresponding to the 8 time domain symbols may be port 441, port 442, port 441, port 443, port 441, port 444, port 441, and port 445 in order. It can be seen that in the port switching rule shown in Fig. 7d, port 441 is used multiple times. In this case, port 441 can be regarded as a calibration port, and the first phase information corresponding to the ports following the multiple ports 441 is calibrated with reference to the multiple first phase information corresponding to the multiple ports 441 to improve the accuracy of the launch angle. For example, in eight time domain symbols, when there is a large difference between the first phase information corresponding to port 441 of the first time domain symbol and the first phase information corresponding to port 441 of the third time domain symbol, the two first phase information corresponding to port 442 and / or port 443 can be calibrated based on the two first phase information corresponding to port 441, thereby improving the accuracy of the first phase information and improving the accuracy of the launch angle.

[0246] It should be noted that the correspondence between the S1 time domain resources and the ports may be set in advance, or may be set in advance on the second communication device side, or may be determined by the second communication device, or may be determined by the second communication device through negotiation with the first communication device, or may be determined by a positioning server (e.g., LMF) and sent to the second communication device. There are many specific implementations, which are not limited in the embodiments of the present application.

[0247] Based on the above, Figures 8A and 8B are schematic flow chart examples of another AOD determination method. In this method, an example in which the first communication device is a terminal device, the second communication device is a base station, and the positioning server is an LMF is used for explanation. Alternatively, the second communication device may be a terminal device. If the second communication device is a terminal device, the second setting information may be determined by the second communication device, or may be sent to the second communication device by another device (e.g., a base station). As shown in Figures 8A and 8B, the method includes the following steps:

[0248] S801: The second communication device determines second configuration information of the first reference signal.

[0249] In this embodiment of the present application, the second setting information may include at least one of the following parameters: parameter c1, parameter c2, parameter c3, or parameter c4.

[0250] The parameter c1 is information indicating S1 time domain resources used for transmitting the first reference signal.

[0251] In this embodiment of the present application, for the sake of distinction, the information included in the second configuration information and indicating the S1 time domain resources used to transmit the first reference signal may be referred to as the fourth indication information.

[0252] The fourth indication information may include information regarding the number of time domain resource units between two of the S1 time domain resources and / or information regarding the S1 time domain resources.

[0253] For example, the fourth indication information may include an indication of the number of time domain resource units between adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources. For example, the fourth indication information may be information indicating the following: in one slot, the first reference signal is transmitted once at an interval of one time domain symbol, and the duration for transmitting the first reference signal is one time domain symbol. As another example, the fourth indication information may be information indicating the following: in one slot, the first reference signal is transmitted once at an interval of two time domain symbols, and the duration for transmitting the first reference signal is two time domain symbols. If the second configuration information includes information regarding the number of time domain resource units between two of the S1 time domain resources, the second communication device may determine the S1 time domain resources used to transmit the first reference signal, so that the first reference signal may be transmitted on the S1 time domain resources.

[0254] The information about one time domain resource is as follows: S the start frame or symbol of the time domain resources (indicating the frame or symbol at which mapping starts to be performed in the time domain); the number of symbols or slots occupied by the S1 time domain resources; or An offset corresponding to the S1 time domain resources (indicating the number of symbols or slots offset by the S1 time domain resources in the current transmission periodicity of the first reference signal) may include at least one of:

[0255] The parameter c2 is information about a frequency domain resource corresponding to the first reference signal.

[0256] The first reference signal may occupy one or more subcarriers in the frequency domain. The frequency domain resources corresponding to two of the S1 time domain resources may be the same. In another possible implementation, the frequency domain resources corresponding to all of the S1 time domain resources may be the same. In this way, the solution is simplified.

[0257] In another possible implementation, the information about the frequency domain resource corresponding to the first reference signal includes: a sequence number of the subcarriers used to transmit the first reference signal (e.g., may include a sequence number of the subcarriers occupied by the first reference signal in a resource block (RB)); A density of resource blocks occupied by the first reference signal in the frequency domain (e.g., may include an indication of the number of RBs for which data on bits in the first reference signal are transmitted); Bandwidth (which may indicate the number of contiguous Physical Resource Blocks (PRBs) or REs) occupied in the frequency domain; or Starting Common Resource Block (CRB) (may indicate the RB where mapping begins to be performed in the frequency domain) may include at least one of:

[0258] The parameter c3 is information indicating the correspondence between the S1 time domain resources and a plurality of ports.

[0259] For the correspondence between the ports corresponding to the S1 time domain resources, see the above description. For example, the correspondence may be that of Fig. 7c or Fig. 7d.

[0260] The information indicating the correspondence between S1 time domain resources and multiple ports includes: S1 time domain resources and a number of port identifiers (where the port identifiers may appear in an array, and each number may represent the identifier of one port); or Identifier of the target port switching policy used to send the reference signal may include at least one of:

[0261] One or more port switching policies for transmitting the reference signal may be preset at the second communication device side, and the target port switching policy for transmitting the reference signal is one of the preset port switching policies for transmitting the reference signal. The port switching policy for transmitting the reference signal includes information on identifiers of a plurality of ports corresponding to the S1 time domain resources. The second communication device may determine a target port switching policy used for transmitting the reference signal based on an identifier of the target port switching policy used for transmitting the reference signal, and then determine identifiers of a plurality of ports corresponding to the S1 time domain resources.

[0262] Parameter c4 is the transmission period of the first reference signal.

[0263] In a possible implementation, the second communication device may periodically transmit the first reference signal, so that the first communication device periodically measures the first reference signal and reports the obtained results (second phase information and / or launch angle information corresponding to each first reference signal). In this way, the first communication device can be periodically located.

[0264] The transmission period of the first reference signal may indicate a time interval during which the second communication device transmits the first reference signal once, which may be one or more symbols, slots, frames, seconds, minutes, hours, etc.

[0265] In other possible implementations, if the first communication device does not need to be positioned periodically, the transmission period may not be set in the second setting information, or the value of the transmission period set in the second setting information indicates that the second communication device transmits the first reference signal once and does not transmit the first reference signal periodically.

[0266] Further, in S801, the second communication device determines the second setting information in a number of ways. For example, the second setting information may be pre-configured on the second communication device side. As another example, the second communication device may determine the second setting information based on a hardware condition of the second communication device. As another example, the second communication device may receive the second setting information sent by another device. As another example, the second communication device may negotiate with the first communication device to determine the second setting information.

[0267] S802: The positioning server may send a first Transmission-Reception Point (TRP) information request to the second communication device, where the first TRP information request is used to request to obtain third configuration information.

[0268] The TRP information request may also be referred to as a TRP information request. The positioning server may send the TRP information request to the second communication device by using NR positioning protocol a (NRPPa).

[0269] S803: The second communication device sends a first TRP information response to the positioning server, where the first TRP information response includes the third setting information.

[0270] The TRP information response may also be referred to as a TRP information response.

[0271] The third setting information may include at least one of the following parameters: parameter c1, parameter c2, parameter c3, parameter c4, or the following parameter d. For the relevant contents of the parameters c1, parameter c2, parameter c3, and parameter c4, please refer to the above contents. The details will not be described again. The following describes the parameter d.

[0272] The parameter d indicates the port setting information of the second communication device.

[0273] The port setting information instructed for the second communication device is as follows: Information regarding the number of radio frequency channels of the second communication device (which may be the number of radio frequency channels configured by the second communication device or the number of radio frequency channels used to transmit the first reference signal); Information regarding the number of ports of the second communication device (which may be the number of ports corresponding to one or more radio frequency channels configured by the second communication device, or which may be the number of ports used to transmit the first reference signal); an identifier of a port of the second communications device; an interval between ports of the second communication device (which may be an interval between two of a plurality of ports corresponding to one or more radio frequency channels set by the second communication device, or an interval between ports among a plurality of ports used to transmit the first reference signal, or an interval between ports corresponding to adjacent time domain resources among the S1 time domain resources); a port array shape corresponding to a port of the second communication device (which may be a port array shape corresponding to a radio frequency channel among the one or more radio frequency channels configured by the second communication device, or a port array shape corresponding to a port used to transmit the first reference signal); or Information indicating the port arrangement direction of the second communication device (the port arrangement direction may be, for example, the horizontal direction, the vertical direction, or the angle of inclination) may include at least one of:

[0274] The spacing between the ports of the second communication device may be in the form of a column or an array and may be indicated by a value. The units may be meters, centimeters, decimeters, millimeters, micrometers, or nanometers. Alternatively, the spacing may be expressed as a multiple of a wavelength, which may be an integer multiple, a fractional multiple, a decimal multiple, etc. The spacing between multiple ports of the second communication device may be expressed in the form of columns. If the spacing between the ports of the second communication device is unique, the spacing between the ports of the second communication device may include only one value.

[0275] If the spacing between the ports of the second communication device is not unique, the identifier of the port may be carried in the port configuration information. The two parameters, i.e., the identifier of the port and the spacing between the ports, may be combined. For example, the port configuration information includes an indication that the spacing between port a and port b is half a wavelength.

[0276] The port array geometry may be a linear array, a planar array, a circular array, a cylindrical array, and the like.

[0277] In a possible implementation, when estimating the launch angle information of the first reference signal based on the second phase information, the second communication device may further perform calculations with reference to the port array shape. For example, when the port array shape is a linear array and the second phase information received by the second communication device includes multiple phase difference information, the launch angle corresponding to the multiple phase difference information may be understood as an angle on a plane. In a possible implementation, the second communication device may average the acquired multiple phase difference information, and then estimate the launch angle of the first reference signal based on the averaged phase difference information.

[0278] As another example, when the port array shape is a circular array and the second phase information received by the second communication device includes multiple phase difference information, the launch angle corresponding to the multiple phase difference information may be multiple different angles. In a possible implementation, the second communication device can perform calculations for each phase difference information to obtain multiple launch angle information, and then determine the launch angle of the first reference signal based on the obtained multiple launch angle information.

[0279] The above example is described by using an example in which the second communication device estimates the launch angle of the first reference signal based on the second phase information. In practical applications, the first communication device or the positioning server may alternatively estimate the launch angle of the first reference signal based on the second phase information. In this case, the positioning server may obtain the port array shape at the second communication device side by using the third setting information. Alternatively, the positioning server transmits the acquired port array shape at the second communication device side to the first communication device side.

[0280] S804: The first communication device sends a request assistance data message to a positioning server (e.g., an LMF). The request assistance data message may include an identifier of a target cell. The request assistance data message is used to request to obtain first configuration information.

[0281] The identifier of the target cell may be an identifier of a primary cell corresponding to the first communication device. The request assistance data message may also be referred to as request assistance data. The first communication device may send the request assistance data message to a positioning server (e.g., LMF) by using the LTE positioning protocol (LPP).

[0282] S805: The positioning server sends a provided assistance data message to the first communication device, where the provided assistance data message includes the first configuration information.

[0283] The provide assistance data message may also be referred to as provide assistance data. The positioning server may transmit the provide assistance data message to the first communication device by using the LPP.

[0284] In a possible implementation, the first setting information may include at least one of the following parameters: parameter e1, parameter e2, parameter c2, parameter c3, parameter c4, or parameter d. For parameters c2, parameter c3, parameter c4, and parameter d, please refer to the above. Details will not be described again. The following will describe parameters e1 and e2 separately.

[0285] The parameter e1 is information indicating the S2 time domain resources used to determine the phase information.

[0286] In a possible implementation, the information indicating the S2 time domain resources used to determine the phase information may comprise a fourth indication information in the parameter c1.

[0287] If the first setting information includes information regarding the number of time domain resource units between two of the S1 time domain resources, the first communication device may determine the S2 time domain resources from which the first phase information needs to be obtained, and may determine one piece of first phase information based on a signal received on one of the S2 time domain resources.

[0288] For example, the information indicating the S2 time domain resources used to determine the phase information may be information indicating the following: in one slot, the second communication device transmits a reference signal once at an interval of one time domain symbol, and the duration for transmitting the reference signal is one time domain symbol. In this way, in the process of receiving the first reference signal, the first communication device can estimate one piece of first phase information at an interval of one time domain symbol, and each piece of first phase information is determined based on the signal received in one time domain symbol. In this way, a plurality of pieces of first phase information corresponding to the first reference signal are obtained.

[0289] As another example, the fourth indication information may be information indicating the following: in one slot, the reference signal is transmitted once at an interval of two time domain symbols, and the duration for transmitting the reference signal is two time domain symbols. In this way, in the process of receiving the first reference signal, the first communication device can estimate one piece of first phase information at an interval of two time domain symbols, and each piece of first phase information is determined based on the signal received at two time domain symbols. In this way, a plurality of pieces of first phase information corresponding to the first reference signal can be obtained.

[0290] The S1 time domain resources are time domain resources used by the first reference signal transmitting end to transmit the first reference signal. For the relevant content of the parameter e1, please refer to the relevant content of the parameter c1. Details will not be described again here.

[0291] The parameter e2 is an identifier of the second communication device.

[0292] The identifier of the second communication device may be one or more of a physical cell index (PCI) and a cell global identity (CGI).

[0293] It should be noted that in addition to obtaining the first setting information by the first communication device in S805, the first communication device may obtain the first setting information in multiple ways in S203. For example, the first setting information may be pre-configured on the second communication device side. As another example, the first communication device may negotiate with the second communication device to determine the first setting information. As another example, the first communication device may receive the first setting information sent by another device.

[0294] S806: The positioning server sends a first location information request message to the first communication device, The first location information request message instructs the first communication device to report the measurement value.

[0295] The first location information request message may also be referred to as a request location information.

[0296] For example, in a possible positioning architecture, an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) receives a service request for a terminal device initiated by other network elements in the network, and the AMF sends a positioning request for the terminal device to the LMF, which receives the positioning request from the AMF, initiates positioning of the terminal device, and determines location information of the terminal device. After initiating positioning of the terminal device, the LMF may instruct the communication device to transmit a first reference signal and instruct the terminal device to report measurements by using S806.

[0297] S807: The second communication device transmits a first reference signal to the first communication device on a plurality of time domain resources based on the second configuration information, where two of the S1 time domain resources used for transmitting the first reference signal correspond to two different ports used for transmitting the first reference signal.

[0298] In S807, the second communication device may perform channel calibration on the multiple ports used to transmit the first reference signal, so that the phases of the multiple ports are first matched. Then, the first reference signal is transmitted by the multiple ports. In this way, the accuracy of the phase difference obtained based on the first reference signal transmitted by the multiple ports can be improved, and the accuracy of the launch angle can be improved.

[0299] Furthermore, if the second setting information includes parameter c2, in a possible implementation, the second communication device may determine a frequency domain resource corresponding to the first reference signal based on the second setting information, and transmit the first reference signal on that frequency domain resource.

[0300] When the second setting information includes parameter c3, in a possible implementation, for a certain time domain resource among the S1 time domain resources, the second communication device may determine, based on the second setting information, a port corresponding to the time domain resource as the port to be used when a signal is transmitted on the time domain resource, and then transmit the signal on the time domain resource through that port.

[0301] For other related contents of S807, please refer to the related contents of S202. S807 may be a possible implementation of S202.

[0302] S808: The first communication device receives a first reference signal and determines a plurality of first phase information corresponding to the S2 time domain resources.

[0303] S809: The first communication device sends a first message providing positioning information to the positioning server.

[0304] The first message providing the positioning information includes the second phase information (parameter f1) and may further include at least one of parameter f2, parameter f3, or parameter f4. At least one of parameter f2, parameter f3, or parameter f4 may be reported together with parameter f1 or may be reported separately, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application.

[0305] In a possible implementation, in S806, the location information request message further instructs the first communication device to report the second phase information. In this way, the first communication device determines the second phase information for reporting after the subsequent S808 based on the location information request message.

[0306] The parameter f1 is the second phase information.

[0307] In this embodiment of the present application, the second phase information includes at least one of the following parameters: parameter f1-1, parameter f1-2, or parameter f1-3.

[0308] The parameter f1-1 is at least two of the plurality of first phase information.

[0309] In a possible implementation, when the second phase information reported by the first communication device includes at least two pieces of first phase information, the first communication device may report the at least two pieces of first phase information in the form of a column (or array).

[0310] For example, the order of the at least two first phase information in the second phase information corresponds to the order of the time domain resources corresponding to the at least two first phase information. In this case, the first communication device may sort the plurality of first phase information based on the reception order of the signal used to estimate the first position information, and report the sorted plurality of first phase information.

[0311] As another example, the order of the at least two first phase information in the second phase information corresponds to the order of the identifiers of the ports corresponding to the at least two first phase information. In this example, there may be a pre-set sorting relationship between the multiple ports used to transmit the first reference signal on the second communication device side. For example, there is a pre-set order relationship between the ports corresponding to the first radio frequency channel 43 in FIG. 6, and the order is port 441, port 442, port 443, port 444, port 445, port 446, port 447, and port 448. The first communication device may determine the correspondence between the multiple first phase information and the ports determined based on the received signal based on the port corresponding to the received signal, and transmit the multiple first phase information based on the order relationship of the identifiers of the ports.

[0312] As another example, the first communication device may further re-sort the plurality of acquired first phase information based on the order relationship of the identifiers of the ports, and report the plurality of re-sorted first phase information. For example, the ports used by the second communication device to transmit the first reference signal are port 441, port 442, port 441, port 443, port 441, port 444, port 441, and port 445 in order. In this case, the first communication device may acquire the following contents in order: first phase information corresponding to port 441, first phase information corresponding to port 442, first phase information corresponding to port 441, first phase information corresponding to port 443, first phase information corresponding to port 441, first phase information corresponding to port 444, first phase information corresponding to port 441, and first phase information corresponding to port 445. Further, the first communication device may re-sort the first phase information acquired in multiple orders, and the sorted first phase information may be one or more of first phase information corresponding to port 441, first phase information corresponding to port 442, first phase information corresponding to port 443, first phase information corresponding to port 444, and first phase information corresponding to port 445.

[0313] In another possible implementation, when the second phase information reported by the first communication device includes at least two pieces of first phase information, the first communication device may report at least two pieces of first phase information using multiple reporting methods, and may report one or more pieces of first phase information each time.

[0314] In a possible implementation, the first communication device may determine one first phase information at each of the S2 time domain resources. For one of the first phase information, the first phase information is determined based on any propagation path through which a signal received at a time domain resource corresponding to the first phase information passes to arrive at the first communication device. The propagation path may be a normal path or an additional path, such as a first path, a direct path, a reflected path, or a strongest path. For example, the first communication device may estimate the first phase information based on a first path of a signal received at each of the S2 time domain resources.

[0315] The parameter f1-2 is at least one piece of phase difference information corresponding to a plurality of pieces of first phase information.

[0316] The phase difference information may be determined based on two pieces of first phase information. For example, the phases indicated by the two pieces of first phase information may be subtracted to obtain one piece of phase difference information.

[0317] In a possible implementation, when the second phase information reported by the first communication device includes multiple phase difference information, the first communication device may report the multiple phase difference information in the form of a column (or array).

[0318] For example, the order of at least two phase difference information in the second phase information corresponds to the order of the time domain resources corresponding to the phase difference information. In this case, the first communication device may sort the plurality of first phase information based on the receiving order of the signal used to estimate the first phase information, sequentially calculate the phase difference information corresponding to two adjacent first phase information, and then report the plurality of obtained phase difference information having the sorting relationship.

[0319] As another example, the order of at least two pieces of phase difference information in the second phase information corresponds to the order of the identifiers of the ports corresponding to the phase difference information. In this example, there may be a pre-set sorting relationship between the multiple ports used to transmit the first reference signal at the second communication device side. For example, there is a pre-set order relationship between the ports corresponding to the first radio frequency channel 43 in FIG. 6, and the order is port 441, port 442, port 443, port 444, port 445, port 446, port 447, and port 448 in order. The first communication device may determine the correspondence between the multiple pieces of first phase information determined based on the received signal and the ports based on the order relationship of the identifiers of the ports based on the ports corresponding to the received signal, and may further sequentially calculate the phase difference information corresponding to two adjacent first phase information, and then report the multiple obtained phase difference information having the sorting relationship.

[0320] For example, the ports used by the second communication device to transmit the first reference signal are port 441, port 442, port 443, port 444, port 445, port 446, port 447, and port 448 in order. In this case, the first communication device may sequentially obtain the following contents: first phase information corresponding to port 441, first phase information corresponding to port 442, first phase information corresponding to port 443, first phase information corresponding to port 444, first phase information corresponding to port 445, first phase information corresponding to port 446, first phase information corresponding to port 447, and first phase information corresponding to port 448. Furthermore, the first communication device may sequentially obtain the following contents: phase difference information corresponding to port 442 and port 441, phase difference information corresponding to port 444 and 443, phase difference information corresponding to port 446 and port 445, and phase difference information corresponding to port 448 and port 447. Furthermore, the first communication device may report the phase difference information in a column (or array) manner.

[0321] As another example, the ports used by the second communication device to transmit the first reference signal are, in order, port 441, port 442, port 441, port 443, port 441, port 444, port 441, and port 445. In this case, the first communication device may obtain the following contents in order: first phase information (information a1) corresponding to port 441, first phase information (information a2) corresponding to port 442, first phase information (information a3) corresponding to port 441, first phase information (information a4) corresponding to port 443, first phase information (information a5) corresponding to port 441, first phase information (information a6) corresponding to port 444, first phase information (information a7) corresponding to port 441, and first phase information (information a8) corresponding to port 445. Furthermore, the first communication device may sequentially obtain phase difference information corresponding to port 442 and port 441 (obtained based on information a and information a2), phase difference information corresponding to port 443 and port 441 (obtained based on information a3 and information a4), phase difference information corresponding to port 444 and port 441 (obtained based on information a5 and information a6), and phase difference information corresponding to port 445 and port 441 (obtained based on information a7 and information a8). Furthermore, the first communication device may report phase difference information in a column (or array) manner. In this solution, port 441 may be used as a reference port, and multiple first phase information corresponding to port 441 may be used for channel calibration, so that the accuracy of the launch angle can be further improved.

[0322] In another possible implementation, when the second phase information reported by the first communication device includes at least two pieces of phase difference information, the first communication device may report at least two pieces of phase difference information in multiple reporting methods and may report one or more pieces of phase difference information each time.

[0323] The parameters f1-3 are average information of a plurality of pieces of phase difference information.

[0324] The average information of the plurality of phase difference information may be obtained by averaging the plurality of phase difference information, or may be obtained by averaging the plurality of phase difference information by weighting. There are several specific methods, which are not limited in the embodiment of the present application.

[0325] The parameter f2 is reliability information of the second phase information received by the second communication device.

[0326] The reliability information of the second phase information includes standard deviation information and / or variance information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information.

[0327] The parameter f3 is a first indication information received by the second communication device, the first indication information indicating a correspondence between a parameter in the second phase information and an identifier of a port used to transmit the first reference signal.

[0328] When the first launch angle information includes a plurality of first phase information, the second indication information may indicate an identifier of a port corresponding to each of the plurality of first phase information. When the first launch angle information includes a plurality of phase difference information, the second indication information may indicate an identifier of a port corresponding to each of the plurality of phase difference information. A port corresponding to one phase difference information is a port corresponding to two first phase information, and the phase difference information is calculated based on the two first phase information.

[0329] The first instruction information may include instruction information indicating a measurement method for measuring the first reference signal by the first communication device. There are a plurality of measurement methods. For example, the first communication device may sequentially acquire a plurality of first phase information based on a port switching order in the process of transmitting the first reference signal by the second communication device side, and then calculate two adjacent first phase information in the sequence of the acquired first phase information to acquire a plurality of phase difference information having a sorting relationship.

[0330] As another example, the first communication device may sequentially acquire multiple first phase information based on an order of switching ports in the process of transmitting a first reference signal by the second communication device side, then re-sort the acquired first phase information based on a pre-set sorting relationship of the port identifiers, and then calculate two adjacent first phase information in the series of the multiple re-sorted first phase information to acquire multiple phase difference information having a sorting relationship.

[0331] The parameter f4 is an identifier of the second communication device.

[0332] The identifier of the second communication device may be one or more of a physical cell index (PCI) and a cell global identity (CGI). The identifier of the second communication device may indicate a particular device that transmits a reference signal, based on which the second phase information obtained by the first communication device is determined.

[0333] S810: The positioning server sends a positioning information request message to the second communication device, where the positioning information request message includes the second phase information (parameter f1), and may further include at least one of parameter f2, parameter f3, or parameter f4.

[0334] In response, the second communication device receives a positioning information request message from the LMF.

[0335] The LMF may send a positioning information request message to the second communication device by using the NRPPa. The positioning information request message may alternatively be replaced with a TRP information request message, a positioning information request message, or a measurement request message.

[0336] It should be noted that the first communication device may receive reference signals distributed by multiple second communication devices. In order to more clearly describe the solution provided in this embodiment of the present application, one second communication device is described in detail in this embodiment of the present application. If there are multiple second communication devices, please refer to the solution at the second communication device described in this embodiment of the present application for other solutions at the second communication device side. Furthermore, the LMF may alternatively feed back a positioning information request message to each second communication device. For each second communication device, the second communication device may include a measurement value obtained by measurement based on the reference signal of the second communication device.

[0337] S811: The second communication device determines information about the first reference signal based on the acquired second phase information.

[0338] The second communication device may further receive at least one of the parameters f2, f3, or f4. If the second communication device further receives the parameter f2, the second communication device may know the reliability of the launch angle determined by the second communication device, and may feed back the reliability of the launch angle to the positioning server. If the second communication device further receives the parameter f3, the second communication device may determine the port corresponding to the parameter in the received second phase information based on the parameter f3, so that the launch angle may be determined based on the interval between the port and the second phase information. The calculation is performed so that the accuracy of the launch angle may be improved. If the second communication device further receives the parameter f4, the second communication device may check the received parameter based on the parameter f4 to determine whether the received second phase information is determined based on the first reference signal transmitted by the second communication device.

[0339] When the second phase information includes a plurality of first phase information, the second communication device can calculate a plurality of first phase information to obtain phase difference information, and further determine the launch angle of the first reference signal based on the phase difference information. When the second phase information includes phase difference information or average information of phase difference information, the second communication device can calculate the launch angle of the first reference signal based on the phase difference information or average information of phase difference information. There are multiple methods for calculating the launch angle of the first reference signal based on the phase difference information. This embodiment of the present application provides an example of a possible method. The method for determining the launch angle of the first reference signal based on the average information of phase difference information is similar to this method, and the details will not be described again.

[0340] FIG. 9 is an example of a diagram for determining the launch angle of the first reference signal based on phase difference information. In FIG. 9, an example in which the second communication device is the base station 101 and the first communication device is the terminal device 103 is used for presentation. As shown in FIG. 9, the base station 101 transmits signal 1 through port 441, and the base station 101 transmits signal 2 through port 442. There is an interval between the port 441 and the port 442, which is represented by d in FIG. 9. Signal 1 may be the first part of the first reference signal, and signal 2 may be the second part of the first reference signal. Correspondingly, the terminal device 103 receives signal 1 and signal 2. The terminal device may receive signal 1 and signal 2 through one port, or may receive signal 1 and signal 2 through multiple ports. In order to better present the relationship between the launch angle and other parameters, the interval between the base station and the terminal device is much farther than the interval between the port 441 and the port 442, so the signal transmission between the base station and the terminal device can be considered as a far-field scenario. Therefore, in Figure 9, the transmission path of signal 1 and the transmission path of signal 2 are presented by using parallel lines as an example. With reference to Figure 9, the relationship between the launch angle and the phase difference information can be known, and the launch angle of the first reference signal can be calculated by using Equation (3):

number

[0341] In equation (3), d is the distance between port 441 and port 442.

[0342] θ is the emission angle of the first reference signal.

[0343] ψ is the phase difference corresponding to signal 1 and signal 2 on the first communication device side.

[0344] λ is the wavelength of the first reference signal.

[0345] π is a constant and represents the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter.

[0346] S812: The second communication device sends a positioning information response message to the positioning server, where the positioning information response message includes the launch angle information of the first reference signal sent by the second communication device.

[0347] Correspondingly, the positioning server receives a positioning information response message from the second communication device. In a possible implementation, the positioning server may receive a plurality of launch angle information from a plurality of second communication devices.

[0348] The second communication device may send a positioning information response message to the LMF by using the NRPPa. The positioning information response message may be replaced with a TRP information response information, a measurement response message, etc.

[0349] S813: The positioning server determines location information of the first communication device based on the received launch angle information of the multiple second communication devices.

[0350] FIG. 10 is a diagram example of an AOD-based positioning solution according to an embodiment of the present application. In FIG. 10, an example in which the second communication device is a base station and the first communication device is a terminal device is used for presentation. As shown in FIG. 10, at least two second communication devices (base stations) may transmit reference signals to the first communication device (terminal device 103). For each second communication device, the first communication device may determine second phase information corresponding to the reference signal transmitted by the second communication device. Furthermore, the first communication device transmits the second phase information.

[0351] Further, the second communication device calculates, based on the second phase information, an AOD corresponding to a reference signal, for example, AOD1 corresponding to the reference signal transmitted by the base station 101 to the terminal device 103, and AOD2 corresponding to the reference signal transmitted by the base station 102 to the terminal device 103.

[0352] In addition, the positioning server may calculate the position of the terminal device by referring to the AODs (AOD1 and AOD2) corresponding to at least two reference signals. For example, the positioning server may use the position of the base station as a starting point based on the AODs to form a plurality of light rays whose angular deflection amount is the AOD, and the intersection point where the plurality of light rays intersect is the position of the terminal device.

[0353] 8A and 8B are merely examples of possible implementation solutions. In concrete implementation, there may be other possible implementations. For example, the step of determining launch angle information corresponding to each second communication device based on the second phase information of each second communication device may alternatively be performed by a positioning server. In this way, the amount of signaling exchanged between the positioning server and each second communication device may be reduced, the latency may be reduced, and the positioning speed of the first communication device may be improved.

[0354] It should be noted that in this embodiment of the present application, the positioning server is a network element that can be configured to initiate positioning at the first communication device, and may be, for example, a location management function (LMF) in an NR system, or may be a network element that can initiate positioning at the first communication device in another system. In this embodiment of the present application, an example is used in which the positioning server is an LMF.

[0355] Based on the above, Figures 11A and 11B are schematic flow chart examples of another AOD determination method according to an embodiment of the present application. Figures 11A and 11B further include a third communication device, and the third communication device may be a serving base station. This is basically similar to the solution provided in Figures 8A and 8B. The difference is that in the solution provided in Figures 11A and 11B, S1101-S1105 can be performed after S808.

[0356] S1101: A first communication device sends a second message to a third communication device, where the second message may include second phase information corresponding to the second communication device.

[0357] Correspondingly, the third communication device may receive second phase information from the first communication device.

[0358] In a possible implementation, the first communication device may transmit the second message to the third communication device by using radio resource control (RRC).

[0359] In a possible implementation, the first communication device may further send at least one of the parameters f2, f3, or f4 to the third communication device. For related contents, please refer to the above description, and the details will not be described again here.

[0360] In another possible implementation, the third communication device may receive a plurality of second phase information corresponding to a plurality of second communication devices from the first communication device.

[0361] S1102: The positioning server sends port setting information of a plurality of second communication devices to a third communication device, The port setting information corresponding to one second communication device includes an interval between ports.

[0362] The positioning server may send a third message to the third communication device by using NRPPa, where the third message includes port setting information of the second communication device. The third message may be a TRP information request message, a positioning information request message, a measurement request message, etc.

[0363] Correspondingly, the third communication device receives port setting information of the plurality of second communication devices from the positioning server.

[0364] For the second communication device among the multiple second communication devices in S1102, the port setting information of the second communication device sent by the positioning server to the third communication device, please refer to the above description of parameter d, and the details will not be described again here.

[0365] In another possible implementation, in S1102, the positioning server may further send at least one of the parameters c1, c2, c3, or c4 to the third communication device. For the relevant contents of the parameters c1, c2, c3, and c4, please refer to the above description. The details are not described again here.

[0366] In another possible implementation, in S1102, the positioning server may further send at least one of the parameters e1, e2, c2, c3, or c4 to the third communication device. For the relevant contents of the parameters e1, e2, c2, c3, or c4, please refer to the above description. The details are not described again here.

[0367] Step S1102 may be performed before S1101, for example, after S803 and before S804.

[0368] S1103: The third communication device determines emission angle information corresponding to the multiple second communication devices based on second phase information corresponding to the multiple second communication devices and port setting information of the multiple second communication devices.

[0369] S1104: The third communication device transmits a plurality of pieces of launch angle information corresponding to a plurality of second communication devices to the positioning server.

[0370] Correspondingly, the positioning server receives a plurality of launch angle information of a plurality of second communication devices.

[0371] At S1104, the third communication device may send a message to the positioning server by using the NRPPa, where the message includes multiple launch angle information, and the message may be referred to as a TRP information response information, a positioning information response message, or a measurement response message.

[0372] S1105: The positioning server determines location information of the first communication device based on the emission angle information of the multiple second communication devices.

[0373] For the contents of S1105, please refer to the related contents of S813. The details will not be described again here.

[0374] As can be seen from the above, in the solution provided in Figures 11A and 11B, the positioning server does not need to distribute the second phase information corresponding to each second communication device to each second communication device, and the first communication device uniformly transmits the second phase information corresponding to each second communication device to the third communication device, so that the third communication device calculates the launch angle information of the multiple second communication devices by referring to the port setting information of the second communication device, and then transmits the launch angle information of the multiple second communication devices to the positioning server. When the third communication device is a serving base station, the speed at which the first communication device reports the second phase information to the third communication device is faster than the speed at which the first communication device reports the second phase information to the positioning server. Furthermore, since the positioning server does not need to transmit each second phase information to each second communication device separately, the speed at which the first communication device is located can be increased.

[0375] 11A and 11B are merely examples of possible implementation solutions. In a specific implementation, there may be other possible implementations. For example, the port setting information of each second communication device may be transmitted to the third communication device by the positioning server, or may be transmitted to the third communication device by each second communication device, or may be transmitted to the third communication device by the first communication device. For example, the port setting information may be transmitted together with the second phase information in S1101.

[0376] Based on the above, Figure 12 is a schematic flow chart example of another AOD determination method according to an embodiment of the present application, which is basically similar to the solution provided in Figure 4. The difference is that in the solution provided in Figure 12, S2052 can be further executed after S204.

[0377] S2052: The first communication device transmits first launch angle information.

[0378] In this embodiment of the present application, the first launch angle information includes at least one of the following parameters: parameter f5, parameter f6, or parameter f7.

[0379] The parameter f5 is information relating to at least one launch angle corresponding to the plurality of first phase information.

[0380] At least one launch angle information is determined based on the plurality of first phase information and the interval between the ports used to transmit the first reference signal. For the method of determining the launch angle information based on the plurality of first phase information, please refer to the above content. The details will not be described again here.

[0381] In a possible implementation, when the first launch angle information reported by the first communication device includes multiple launch angle information, the first communication device may report the multiple launch angle information in the form of a column (or array).

[0382] For example, the order of the plurality of launch angle information in the first launch angle information corresponds to the order of the time domain resources corresponding to the plurality of first phase information. In this case, the first communication device may sort the plurality of first phase information based on the receiving order of the signal used to estimate the first phase information, sequentially calculate the phase difference information corresponding to two adjacent first phase information, then sequentially obtain the launch angle information based on each phase difference information, and then report the plurality of obtained launch angle information having a sorting relationship.

[0383] As another example, the order of the plurality of launch angle information in the first launch angle information corresponds to the order of the identifiers of the ports corresponding to the plurality of first phase information. In this example, there may be a pre-set sorting relationship between the plurality of ports used to transmit the first reference signal at the second communication device side. For example, there is a pre-set order relationship between the ports corresponding to the first radio frequency channel 43 in FIG. 6, and the order is port 441, port 442, port 443, port 444, port 445, port 446, port 447, and port 448 in order. The first communication device may determine the correspondence between the plurality of first phase information and the ports determined based on the received signal based on the port corresponding to the received signal, determine the order of the plurality of first phase information based on the order relationship of the identifiers of the ports, and further sequentially calculate the phase difference information corresponding to two adjacent first phase information, sequentially obtain launch angle information based on each phase difference information, and then report the plurality of obtained launch angle information having the sorting relationship.

[0384] For example, the ports used by the second communication device to transmit the first reference signal are port 441, port 442, port 443, port 444, port 445, port 446, port 447, and port 448 in this order. In this case, the first communication device may sequentially acquire the following contents: first phase information corresponding to port 441, first phase information corresponding to port 442, first phase information corresponding to port 443, first phase information corresponding to port 444, first phase information corresponding to port 445, first phase information corresponding to port 446, first phase information corresponding to port 447, and first phase information corresponding to port 448. Furthermore, the first communication device may sequentially acquire the following contents: phase difference information corresponding to port 442 and port 441, phase difference information corresponding to port 444 and port 443, phase difference information corresponding to port 446 and port 445, and phase difference information corresponding to port 448 and port 447. Further, the first communication device sequentially acquires emission angle information based on each phase difference information, and then reports the multiple acquired emission angle information having a sorting relationship.

[0385] As another example, the ports used by the second communication device to transmit the first reference signal are, in order, port 441, port 442, port 441, port 443, port 441, port 444, port 441, and port 445. Furthermore, the first communication device may sequentially acquire the following contents: phase difference information corresponding to port 442 and port 441 (obtained based on information a1 and information a2), phase difference information corresponding to port 443 and port 441 (obtained based on information a3 and information a4), phase difference information corresponding to port 444 and port 441 (obtained based on information a5 and information a6), and phase difference information corresponding to port 445 and port 441 (obtained based on information a7 and information a8). Furthermore, the first communication device sequentially acquires launch angle information based on each phase difference information, and then reports the multiple acquired launch angle information having a sorting relationship. In this solution, port 441 may be used as a reference port, and multiple first phase information corresponding to port 441 may be used for channel calibration, so that the accuracy of the launch angle may be further improved.

[0386] In another possible implementation, when the first launch angle information reported by the first communication device includes at least two launch angle information, the first communication device may report at least two launch angle information in multiple directional ways and may report one or more launch angle information each time.

[0387] The parameter f6 is at least one piece of first emission angle average information corresponding to the plurality of pieces of first phase information.

[0388] The at least one first departure angle average information is determined based on at least two of the at least one departure angle information.

[0389] The first average launch angle information can be obtained by averaging a plurality of launch angle information, or can be obtained by averaging a plurality of launch angle information through weighting. There are a number of specific methods, which are not limited in the embodiment of the present application.

[0390] Parameter f7 is at least one second emission angle average information corresponding to a plurality of first phase information.

[0391] At least one second emission angle average information is determined based on average information of phase difference information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information and average port interval information.

[0392] Regarding the method of obtaining the average information of the plurality of phase difference information, please refer to the above content. The details will not be described again here. The port interval average is determined based on the average interval between the plurality of ports used for transmitting the first reference signal.

[0393] It can be seen that in the solution shown in Fig. 12, the first communication device can calculate the first launch angle information based on the spacing between the ports at the second communication device side used to transmit the first reference signal. It should be noted that the first communication device can obtain the spacing between the ports. If the spacing is not obtained, the calculation can be performed based on a preset spacing value. For example, the preset spacing value can be half a wavelength.

[0394] It should be noted that both S2051 and S2052 may be implemented in one solution. For example, the measurements reported by the first communication device include the first launch angle information and also include the second phase information. In other possible implementations, either S2051 or S2053 may be selected for use. For example, the measurements reported by the first communication device include the first launch angle information but do not include the second phase information. As another example, the measurements reported by the first communication device do not include the first launch angle information but include the second phase information.

[0395] Based on the above, Figures 13A and 13B are schematic flow chart examples of another AOD determination method according to an embodiment of the present application, which is basically similar to the solution provided in Figures 8A and 8B. The difference is that in the solution provided in Figures 13A and 13B, S1201 and S1202 are executed after S808.

[0396] S1201: A first communication device sends a fourth message providing positioning information to a positioning server. The fourth message providing positioning information includes first launch angle information and may further include at least one of the following parameters: parameter g1, parameter g2, or parameter g3.

[0397] The parameter g1 is reliability information of the first emission angle information.

[0398] The reliability information of the first launch angle information includes standard deviation information and / or variance information of the plurality of launch angle information corresponding to the plurality of first phase information.

[0399] The parameter g2 is the second indication information. The second indication information indicates a correspondence between a parameter in the first launch angle information and an identifier of a port used to transmit the first reference signal.

[0400] When the first launch angle information includes a plurality of launch angle information, the second indication information may indicate an identifier of a port corresponding to each of the plurality of launch angle information. The port corresponding to one launch angle information is a port corresponding to phase difference information, and the launch angle information is calculated according to the phase difference information.

[0401] The second instruction information may include instruction information for instructing a measurement method for measuring the first reference signal by the first communication device. There are a plurality of measurement methods. For details, please refer to the relevant description of parameter f3. The details will not be described again here.

[0402] The parameter g3 is an identifier of the second communication device.

[0403] For parameter g3, please refer to the relevant content of parameter f4, the details will not be described again here.

[0404] S1202: The positioning server determines location information of the first communication device based on the received first launch angle information corresponding to a plurality of second communication devices.

[0405] In the solution shown in Figure 13A and Figure 13B, the first communication device may calculate the first launch angle information based on the interval between ports at the second communication device side used to transmit the first reference signal. The first communication device may obtain the interval between ports from the positioning server by using S805, and the positioning server may obtain the interval between ports by using S803. In another possible implementation, if the first communication device does not obtain the interval between ports in the second communication device used to transmit the first reference signal from the other device side, the calculation may be performed based on a preset port interval value. For example, the preset port interval value may be a half wavelength.

[0406] 13A and 13B, the location information request message may further instruct the first communication device to report launch angle information in S806. In this manner, the first communication device calculates the first launch angle information based on the location information request message after the subsequent S808 and reports the first launch angle information.

[0407] 13A and 13B, the fourth message providing the positioning information may not include the parameter f1 (second phase information), or may not include the parameters f2, f3, and f4. In other possible implementations, the fourth message providing the positioning information may alternatively include the parameter f1 (second phase information), or may include one or more of the parameters f2, f3, or f4. This is not limited to the embodiments of the present application.

[0408] Based on the above, Fig. 14 is a schematic flow chart example of an AOA determination method according to an embodiment of the present application. In order to more clearly describe the solution provided in the embodiment of the present application, Fig. 14 is described from an interaction perspective. The method can be performed by a first communication device and a second communication device.

[0409] In the embodiment of the present application, the AOA determination solution provided in Fig. 14 may be used together with the AOD determination solution (in Fig. 4, Fig. 8A and Fig. 8B, Fig. 11A and Fig. 11B, Fig. 12, and Fig. 13A and Fig. 13B) or may be used independently, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application.

[0410] The first communication device may be a terminal device (e.g., the terminal device 103 in FIG. For details, please refer to the relevant descriptions of FIG. 8A and FIG. 8B. The details will not be described again.

[0411] As shown in FIG. 14, the AOA determination method includes the following steps:

[0412] S1401: The first communication device transmits a second reference signal.

[0413] In S1401, the first communication device may transmit the entire first reference signal through one port. Alternatively, the first communication device may synchronously transmit the second reference signal through multiple ports. In this way, the requirements of the AOA determination solution in the hardware of the first communication device may be reduced, so as to reduce the cost of the first communication device.

[0414] S1402: A second communication device receives a second reference signal and determines a plurality of third phase information corresponding to the received second reference signal on a plurality of time domain resources.

[0415] S1403: The second communication device determines an arrival angle of a second reference signal based on the third phase information pieces.

[0416] For ease of distinction, in an embodiment of the present application, the multiple time domain resources used to determine phase information at the second communication device side may be referred to as S3 time domain resources, where S3 is an integer greater than 1.

[0417] There may be multiple possible correspondences between the S3 time domain resources and the multiple third phase information. In a possible implementation, the second communication device may determine one third phase information based on one or more of the S3 time domain resources. For example, the second communication device may determine S3 third phase information corresponding to the S3 time domain resources, and the multiple third phase information is in one-to-one correspondence with the S3 time domain resources. As another example, the second communication device may determine multiple (less than S3) third phase information corresponding to time domain resources among the S3 time domain resources. For example, S3 is 8. The second communication device may determine six third phase information corresponding to eight time domain resources. For example, the six third phase information may be determined based on signals received at six of the eight time domain resources. As another example, five third phase information may be determined based on signals received at five of the eight time domain resources, and one third phase information is determined based on signals received at the remaining three time domain resources among the eight time domain resources.

[0418] In a possible implementation, the second communication device may determine one third phase information based on one of the S3 time domain resources. For a certain third phase information among the plurality of third phase information, the third phase information is determined based on any propagation path for a signal received on a time domain resource corresponding to the certain third phase information to arrive at the second communication device. The propagation path may be a normal path or an additional path, for example, a first path, a direct path, a reflected path, or a strongest path. For example, the second communication device may estimate the third phase information based on a first path of a signal received on each of the S3 time domain resources.

[0419] The second communication device determines a plurality of third phase information based on a plurality of time domain resources. Thus, the AOA of the reference signal can be further determined based on the plurality of third phase information. It can be seen that the present application can provide a solution for determining the AOA based on phase information, so that when the angle used for positioning needs to be determined, there can be one further optional solution.

[0420] To further explain the advantageous effects that may be brought about by the embodiments of the present application, the following will further be described with reference to Figs. 5a and 5b.

[0421] As shown in FIG. 5a, in a possible AOA determination solution, a first communication device may transmit a sounding reference signal (SRS) to a second communication device. The second communication device receives the SRS simultaneously through multiple radio frequency channels and obtains phase information corresponding to the multiple radio frequency channels. Then, the second communication device calculates the AOA of the reference signal based on the phase information and the port interval corresponding to the radio frequency channel. In this solution, the second communication device usually needs to configure multiple radio frequency channels. If the second communication device is configured with a small number of radio frequency channels, for example, only one radio frequency channel is configured, this solution cannot be used. Furthermore, in practical applications, in order to reduce costs, a small number of radio frequency channels are usually configured in the communication device, but a large number of physical ports are usually configured.

[0422] However, in a possible solution provided in this embodiment of the present application, a switch may be disposed between the radio frequency channel and the port. For one data transmission, the radio frequency channel does not necessarily perform data transmission through all ports connected to the radio frequency channel, and the switch may select one or more ports from all ports corresponding to the radio frequency channel to perform data transmission. Please refer to Fig. 5b for the structure of the second communication device.

[0423] In S1402, in a possible implementation, the second communication device receives a first portion of a second reference signal on a fifth time domain resource and determines one of the plurality of third phase information based on the first portion of the second reference signal, the second communication device receives a second portion of the second reference signal on a sixth time domain resource and determines another of the plurality of third phase information based on the second portion of the second reference signal.

[0424] In other words, in S1402, the second communication device may select a port that needs to be used in the process of transmitting the first reference signal by using a switch. Thus, the second communication device may sequentially receive signals through multiple ports connected to one radio frequency channel. The second communication device obtains multiple pieces of third phase information corresponding to at least two of the multiple ports through measurement. Furthermore, the AOA may be calculated by a device such as the second communication device or another device (e.g., a positioning server) with reference to the multiple pieces of third phase information and the interval between the ports among the at least two ports.

[0425] As can be seen from the above, in the possible solution provided in this embodiment of the present application, the corresponding phase information can be calculated at the granularity of the port (the granularity of the port can affect the accuracy of the phase information) to obtain the AOA. Compared with the solution in which the AOA is calculated at the granularity of the radio frequency channel (the accuracy of the AOA depends on the granularity of the radio frequency channel), in this embodiment of the present application, the requirement for the number of radio frequency channels on the second communication device side can be lowered if the AOA calculation accuracy is ensured. Therefore, the cost of the second communication device can be reduced.

[0426] At S1402, the second communication device receives a first portion of the second reference signal on a fifth time domain resource via a third port, and the second communication device receives a second portion of the second reference signal on a sixth time domain resource via a fourth port.

[0427] In addition, the step of the second communication device determining a piece of third phase information based on the first portion of the second reference signal may be performed after the first portion of the second reference signal is received and before the second communication device receives the second portion of the second reference signal, or may be performed after the second communication device receives the second portion of the second reference signal.

[0428] Since the first and second parts of the second reference signal are received through different ports of the second communication device, after obtaining a plurality of phase information by measurement based on the signals received through the different ports, the second communication device can calculate the arrival angle by referring to the phase difference information of the plurality of phase information and the interval between the ports. Furthermore, since the second communication device receives different parts of the same reference signal through different ports, the number of reference signals used to calculate the arrival angle can be reduced, so as to save network resources and reduce latency.

[0429] It should be noted that the "third port" in this embodiment of the present application is a logical port, and the "third port" may include one or more physical ports. The "fourth port" is a logical port, and the "fourth port" may include one or more physical ports. There is at least one physical port among the physical ports included in the third port that is different from each of all physical ports included in the fourth port. Alternatively, there is at least one physical port among the physical ports included in the fourth port that is different from each of all physical ports included in the third port. The physical ports included in the third port and the physical ports included in the fourth port may overlap or may not overlap. For related contents related to the "third port" and the "fourth port", please refer to the related descriptions of the "first port" and the "second port". Details will not be described again here.

[0430] In a possible implementation, the third port and the fourth port may have a selective connection relationship with the same radio frequency channel. For example, the third port and the fourth port are both ports having a selective connection relationship with the second radio frequency channel. The third port and the fourth port. The second communication device receives a second portion of the second reference signal on the sixth time domain resource through the fourth port connected to the second radio frequency channel.

[0431] In another possible implementation, the second communication device may alternatively receive the second reference signal through multiple ports of multiple radio frequency channels. For example, the second communication device may receive the first part of the first reference signal through a third port of the second radio frequency channel and one or more ports of the third radio frequency channel, and the second communication device may receive the second part of the first reference signal through a fourth port of the second radio frequency channel and one or more ports of another radio frequency channel (e.g., the third radio frequency channel). In order to more clearly explain the solution provided in the embodiment of the present application, the second radio frequency channel among the multiple radio frequency channels used to receive the second reference signal is described in this embodiment of the present application.

[0432] FIG. 15 is an example of a diagram in which the second radio frequency channel 53 of FIG. 5b is connected to a port in the port array 54 through a switch 55. In FIG. 15, an example in which the second radio frequency channel 53 is connected to eight physical ports is used for presentation. The eight physical ports are port 541, port 542, port 543, port 544, port 545, port 546, port 547, and port 548, respectively. For example, referring to FIG. 15, the third port may be, for example, port 541, and the fourth port may be, for example, port 542. As another example, the third port may be, for example, port 541 and port 542, and the fourth port may be, for example, port 542 and port 543. As another example, the third port may be, for example, port 541 and port 542, and the fourth port may be, for example, port 547 and port 548 in the port array 54.

[0433] In another possible implementation, the third port and the fourth port may be two ports connected to two radio frequency channels, for example, the third port is a port connected to a first radio frequency channel and the fourth port is a port connected to a second radio frequency channel.

[0434] In another possible implementation, the second communication device may receive multiple second reference signals from the first communication device on multiple time domain resources via multiple ports. For example, the second communication device may receive one second reference signal through one port and determine one third phase information based on the received second reference signal, and the second communication device may receive another second reference signal through another port and determine another third phase signal based on the received other second reference signal. The second communication device may then determine a launch angle based on at least two pieces of third phase information.

[0435] In this embodiment of the present application, there may be several possible implementations of the correspondence between the S3 time domain resources and the ports, for example implementation h1, implementation h2, implementation h3, and implementation h4 shown in the following content.

[0436] Implementation h1: Two time domain resources among the multiple time domain resources (which may also be referred to as S3 time domain resources) used for receiving the second reference signal correspond to two different ports used for receiving the second reference signal.

[0437] Implementation h1 may also be understood as at least two of the S3 time domain resources corresponding to different ports. In this way, since the second communication device receives the second reference signal through at least two different ports, the second communication device may measure the signal received through at least two different ports to obtain at least two third phase information. The at least two third phase information may correspond to at least one phase difference, and then the angle of arrival may be determined based on the phase difference. Thus, for a second communication device including only one radio frequency channel including at least two ports, the positioning may alternatively be performed based on the phase information corresponding to the second reference signal received by the first communication device, which can reduce the requirements for the hardware of the second communication device in the solution of performing positioning based on the phase information and reduce the cost of the second communication device. Furthermore, for a second communication device with a small number of radio frequency channels, the solution provided in this embodiment of the present application can further improve the accuracy of positioning the first communication device.

[0438] Implementation h2: One of the multiple ports corresponds to one of the S3 time domain resources.

[0439] In this way, in the process of receiving the second reference signal in the S3 time domain resources, one port is used once. In this way, the second communication device can receive the second reference signal through as many different ports as possible, and then the second communication device can obtain the third phase information corresponding to more different ports. More phase differences can be obtained based on the third phase information corresponding to more different ports. It can be seen that this solution increases the number of phase differences and can further improve the accuracy of the arrival angle.

[0440] Implementation h3: One of the multiple ports corresponds to multiple time domain resources among the S3 time domain resources.

[0441] In this way, in the process in which the second communication device receives the second reference signal in the S3 time domain resources, one port can be used multiple times. In this case, one port can be set as a reference port to calibrate other ports. Furthermore, since the port is reused multiple times, the number of ports required in this solution can be reduced, which can reduce the requirements for the hardware of the second communication device and reduce the cost of the second communication device.

[0442] Implementation h4: Two adjacent time domain resources among the S3 time domain resources correspond to two different ports.

[0443] In this way, in the process of receiving the second reference signal in S3 time domain resources in S1402, the second communication device needs to change ports after receiving a signal in one time domain resource in order to receive a signal in the next time domain resource. In this way, the first communication device may obtain two different third phase information based on the signals received in two adjacent time domain resources. The phase difference may be obtained by using two different third phase information. If the ports corresponding to every two adjacent time domain resources are different, the maximum number of phase differences may be obtained, so that the accuracy of the launch angle obtained by using the phase difference may be improved.

[0444] In this embodiment of the present application, the S3 time domain resources may also have multiple possible implementations. For example, the following implementations i1, i2, i3, and i4 are examples of some possible implementations of the S3 time domain resources.

[0445] Implementation i1: Within the S3 time domain resources, two time domain resources corresponding to different ports are separated by at least one time domain resource unit.

[0446] The second communication device receives the second reference signal through at least two different ports, so that the second communication device can set aside time to perform port switching in the process of receiving the second reference signal, and the two time domain resources corresponding to the different ports are separated by at least one time domain resource unit within S3 time domain resources. In this way, the second communication device can have time to perform a port switching operation.

[0447] Implementation i2: Two adjacent time domain resources among the S3 time domain resources are separated by at least one time domain resource unit.

[0448] In this way, when two adjacent time domain resources among the S3 time domain resources correspond to two different ports, the second communication device may have time to perform a port switching operation between adjacent time domain resources among the S3 time domain resources.

[0449] Implementation i3: adjacent time domain resources among the S3 time domain resources are separated by Q2 time domain resource units, where Q2 is a positive integer.

[0450] Because this solution is regular, the number of bits occupied by the information indicating the S3 time domain resources can be further reduced.

[0451] Implementation i4: One time domain resource unit may be one or more time domain symbols.

[0452] For the relevant description of the time domain resource unit, please refer to the above content. In embodiment i4, in the process in which the second communication device receives the second reference signal, the port switching may be performed at the time domain symbol level, and the second communication device may obtain multiple third phase information at the time domain symbol level. Compared with the solution in which the second communication device receives multiple second reference signals and the second communication device obtains one third phase information by measuring each second reference signal, in this embodiment of the present application, the second communication device knows information about the time domain resource for determining the third phase information, so that the event of determining one third phase information based on data received at multiple adjacent time domain symbols can be reduced (because the data received at multiple adjacent time domain symbols can be regarded as one signal by the receiving end and cannot be distinguished). In this way, the first communication device can obtain multiple third phase information at the symbol granularity, and then determine the arrival angle based on the phase information of at least one reference signal. This reduces the technical difficulty of calculating the arrival angle based on phase information, and can also reduce the delay of the solution of calculating the arrival angle based on behavior information.

[0453] In a possible implementation, the S3 time domain resources are S1 time domain resources in one slot. The second reference signal may be transmitted together with the data, or may be transmitted separately. For the relationship between the second reference signal and the data transmission, please refer to the relationship between the first reference signal and the data transmission, for example, the relationship between the first reference signal and the data transmission shown in Figures 7a and 7b. Details will not be described again here.

[0454] For the correspondence between the S3 time domain resources and ports, please refer to the correspondence between the S1 time domain resources and ports, for example, the examples of the correspondence between the S1 time domain resources and ports shown in Figures 7c and 7d.

[0455] Based on the above, Figure 16A and Figure 16B are a schematic flow chart example of another AOA determination method. In this example, an example in which the first communication device is a terminal device, the second communication device is a base station, and the positioning server is an LMF is used for explanation. As shown in Figure 8A and Figure 8B, the method includes the following steps:

[0456] S1601: The second communication device determines fourth configuration information of a second reference signal.

[0457] In this embodiment of the present application, the fourth setting information may include at least one of the following parameters: parameter j1, parameter j2, parameter j3, or parameter j4.

[0458] The parameter j1 is information indicating S3 time domain resources.

[0459] The information indicating the S3 time domain resources may include information on the number of time domain resource units between two of the S3 time domain resources and / or information on the S3 time domain resources. The S3 time domain resources may also be referred to as a plurality of time domain resources used to determine the third phase information.

[0460] For example, the information indicating the S3 time domain resources may include an indication of the number of time domain resource units between adjacent time domain resources among the S3 time domain resources. For example, the information indicating the S3 time domain resources may be information indicating the following: in one slot, the second reference signal is received once with an interval of one time domain symbol (or multiple time domain symbols), and the duration of receiving the second reference signal is one time domain symbol (or multiple time domain symbols). If the fourth configuration information includes information regarding the number of time domain resource units between two of the S3 time domain resources, the second communication device can determine the S3 time domain resources used to receive the second reference signal, so that the second reference signal can be received on the S3 time domain resources.

[0461] The parameter j2 is information on a frequency domain resource corresponding to the second reference signal.

[0462] The second reference signal may occupy one or more subcarriers in the frequency domain. The frequency domain resources corresponding to two of the S3 time domain resources may be the same. In another possible implementation, the frequency domain resources corresponding to all of the S3 time domain resources may be the same. In this way, the solution may be simple.

[0463] For information about the frequency domain resource corresponding to the second reference signal, please refer to the information about the frequency domain resource corresponding to the first reference signal, and the details will not be described again here.

[0464] The parameter j3 is information indicating the correspondence between S3 time domain resources and multiple ports.

[0465] The information indicating the correspondence between the S3 time domain resources and the multiple ports may include at least one of the following contents: S3 time domain resources and a number of port identifiers (the port identifiers may appear in an array, where each number may represent the identifier of one port); or Identifier of the target port switching policy used to receive the reference signal.

[0466] One or more port switching policies for receiving the reference signal may be preset at the second communication device side, and the target port switching policy for receiving the reference signal is one of the preset port switching policies for receiving the reference signal. The port switching policy for receiving the reference signal includes information on identifiers of a plurality of ports corresponding to the S3 time domain resources. The second communication device may determine a target port switching policy used for receiving the reference signal based on an identifier of the target port switching policy used for receiving the reference signal, and then determine identifiers of a plurality of ports corresponding to the S3 time domain resources.

[0467] The parameter j4 is the transmission period of the second reference signal.

[0468] In a possible implementation, the first communication device may periodically transmit the second reference signal, whereby the second communication device periodically measures the second reference signal so as to periodically locate the first communication device.

[0469] The transmission period of the second reference signal may indicate a time interval during which the first communication device transmits the first reference signal once, which may be one or more symbols, slots, frames, seconds, minutes, hours, etc.

[0470] In other possible implementations, if the first communication device does not need to be located periodically, the transmission period may not be set in the fourth setting information, or the value of the transmission period set in the fourth setting information indicates that the first communication device transmits the second reference signal once and that the first communication device does not transmit the second reference signal periodically.

[0471] In addition, there are several ways for the second communication device to determine the fourth setting information. Specifically, the methods may be similar to the methods for determining the second setting information. The details are not described again here.

[0472] S1602: The positioning server may send a second TRP information request to the second communication device, where the second TRP information request is used to request to obtain fifth configuration information.

[0473] The positioning server may send a second TRP information request to the second communication device by using a NR positioning protocol a (NRPPa).

[0474] S1603: The second communication device sends a second TRP information response to the positioning server, where the second TRP information response includes the fifth setting information.

[0475] The second TRP information response may also be referred to as a TRP information response.

[0476] The fifth setting information may include at least one of the following: parameter j1, parameter j2, parameter j3, or parameter d. [0477] S1604: The positioning server sends a capability request message to the first communication device, where the capability request message is used to query whether the first communication device supports transmitting the second reference signal.

[0478] In a possible implementation, the positioning server may send a capability request message to the first communication device by using LPP.

[0479] S1605: The first communication device sends a capability response message to the positioning server, where the capability response message indicates that the first communication device supports transmitting the second reference signal.

[0480] S1606: The positioning server sends a reference signal configuration request to the third communication device, where the reference signal configuration request is used to request the third communication device to send reference signal configuration information to the first communication device.

[0481] The positioning server may send a reference signal configuration request to the third communication device after receiving a message from the first communication device indicating that the first communication device supports transmission of the second reference signal. If the positioning server receives a message from the first communication device indicating that the first communication device does not support transmission of the second reference signal, the procedure may end, or the first communication device may be located with another positioning method.

[0482] The reference signal configuration information may include the time domain resource and / or the frequency domain resource of the second reference signal. In a possible implementation, the positioning server may make a proposal regarding the time domain resource and / or the frequency domain resource of the second reference signal based on the configuration of the second communication device (e.g., the information in the fifth configuration information) and transmit the proposal to the third communication device.

[0483] S1607: The third communication device sends sixth configuration information to the first communication device, where the sixth configuration information may include a time domain resource and / or a frequency domain resource of the second reference signal.

[0484] The third communication device may transmit the sixth configuration information to the first communication device based on a proposal of the positioning server.

[0485] In a possible implementation, the time domain resource of the second reference signal included in the sixth configuration information may include a parameter k1. The sixth configuration information may further include the following parameter k2:

[0486] The parameter k1 is information indicating S4 time domain resources used by the first communication device to transmit the second reference signal.

[0487] In a possible implementation, the information indicating the S4 time domain resources may include information regarding the number of time domain resource units between two of the S4 time domain resources and / or information regarding the S4 time domain resources.

[0488] If the sixth configuration information includes information regarding the number of time domain resource units between two of the S4 time domain resources, the first communication device may determine the S4 time domain resources on which the second reference signal needs to be transmitted.

[0489] For example, the information indicating the S4 time domain resources may be information indicating the following: in one slot, the first communication device transmits a reference signal once at an interval of one time domain symbol, and the duration of transmitting the reference signal is one time domain symbol () or multiple time domain symbols. In this way, in the process of transmitting the first reference signal, the first communication device can transmit the first reference signal once at an interval of one time domain symbol, and the duration is one symbol (or multiple symbols).

[0490] It should be noted that the S4 time domain resources may be a segment of continuous time domain resources, or may be the S4 time domain resources including an interval. The distribution rule of the S4 time domain resources may be consistent with the distribution rule of the S3 time domain resources. For example, two adjacent time domain resources of the S4 time domain resources are separated by one time domain symbol.

[0491] The parameter k2 is an identifier of the second communication device.

[0492] For the identifier of the second communication device, please refer to the above content, and the details will not be described again here.

[0493] It should be noted that the first communication device receives the sixth setting information in multiple ways. For details, please refer to the method of obtaining the first setting information. The details will not be described again here.

[0494] S1608: The positioning server sends a second location information request message to the second communication device, where the second location information request message instructs the communication device to report the measurement value.

[0495] The second location information request message sent by the positioning server to the second communication device may include measurement method instruction information, which may instruct the second communication device to receive the second reference signal in a port switching manner and separately measure multiple portions of the second reference signal to obtain multiple pieces of third phase information.

[0496] S1609: The first communication device transmits a second reference signal.

[0497] The first communication device may transmit the second reference signal in S4 time domain resources. In S807, the first communication device may transmit the second reference signal in a segment of consecutive time domain resources, or the first communication device may transmit the second reference signal in an interval of several time domain resources. For example, the first communication device may transmit the second reference signal once in an interval of one time domain symbol, with a duration of one or more symbols.

[0498] The step of transmitting a second reference signal by the first communication device in S1609 may be performed before S1608.

[0499] S1610: A second communication device receives a second reference signal and determines a plurality of third phase information corresponding to the received second reference signal in the S3 time domain resources.

[0500] In S808, the second communication device may perform channel calibration on the multiple ports used to receive the second reference signal, so that the phases of the multiple ports are initially consistent. Then, the second reference signal is received through the multiple ports. In this way, the accuracy of the determined angle of arrival may be improved.

[0501] S1611: The second communication device determines arrival angle information based on the plurality of third phase information.

[0502] The second communication device can calculate a plurality of third phase information to obtain phase difference information, and further determine the arrival angle of the second reference signal according to the phase difference information. There are a plurality of methods for calculating the arrival angle of the second reference signal according to the phase difference information. This embodiment of the present application provides an example of a possible method.

[0503] FIG. 17 is an example diagram of determining the arrival angle of a second reference signal based on phase difference information. As shown in FIG. 17, the second communication device receives signal 3 through port 541 and receives signal 4 through port 542. Signal 3 may be a first part of the second reference signal, and signal 4 may be a second part of the second reference signal. With reference to FIG. 17, the relationship between the arrival angle and the phase difference information can be known, and the arrival angle of the first reference signal can be calculated by using Equation (4):

number

[0504] In equation (4), d is the distance between port 541 and port 542.

[0505] θ is the angle of arrival of the second reference signal.

[0506] ψ is the phase difference corresponding to signal 3 and signal 4 on the second communication device side.

[0507] λ is the wavelength of the third reference signal.

[0508] π is a constant and represents the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter.

[0509] In a possible implementation, the phase difference between signal 3 and signal 4 determined by the first communication device may include two parts. One part is the phase difference between the two ports introduced when the second communication device transmits signal 3 and signal 4 through two ports, respectively, and the other part is the phase difference introduced by the time consumed by the second communication device to perform port switching in the process of transmitting signal 3 and signal 4. The phase changes with time. Therefore, the part of the phase difference introduced by the duration consumed by the second communication device to perform port switching in the process of transmitting signal 3 and signal 4 may be determined based on the duration (for example, the phase difference corresponding to the duration may be calculated by using (t×(2πc / λ)), where × represents multiplication, t represents the duration, c represents the speed of light, λ is the wavelength of the signal, and π is the multiplier, which refers to the circular constant). In this way, the first communication device can remove the phase difference introduced due to port switching from the measured phase difference between signal 3 and signal 4, so that the obtained phase difference information is more accurate.

[0510] S1612: The second communication device transmits the arrival angle information to the positioning server.

[0511] Correspondingly, the positioning server receives a plurality of angle of arrival information from a plurality of second communication devices.

[0512] The second communication device may transmit angle of arrival information to the LMF by using the NRPPa.

[0513] S1613: The positioning server determines location information of the first communication device based on the received angle-of-arrival information of the multiple second communication devices.

[0514] The method of the positioning server determining the location information of the first communication device based on a plurality of arrival angle information is similar to the method of determining the location information of the first communication device based on a plurality of departure angle information, and the details will not be described again.

[0515] 8A and 8B are merely examples of possible implementation solutions. In specific implementation, there may be other possible implementations. For example, the step of determining the arrival angle information corresponding to each second communication device based on the third phase information of each second communication device may alternatively be performed by a positioning server.

[0516] In addition, in the embodiment of the present application, a network element (e.g., network element A) receiving information from another network element (e.g., network element B) may mean that the network element A receives information directly from the network element B, or that the network element A receives information from the network element B via another network element (e.g., network element C). When the network element A receives information from the network element B via the network element C, the network element C may transmit the information transparently, or may process the information, for example, add the information to another message for transmission, or screen the information, and send only the information obtained by screening to the network element A. Similarly, in the embodiment of the present application, a network element A sending information to the network element B may mean that the network element A sends information directly to the network element B, or that the network element A sends information to the network element B via another network element (e.g., network element C).

[0517] The terms "system" and "network" may be used synonymously in embodiments of the present application. "At least one" means one or more, and "multiple" means two or more. "And / or" describes an association relationship between related objects and indicates that three relationships may exist. For example, A and / or B may indicate three cases: only A exists, both A and B exist, and only B exists, where A and B may be singular or plural. The character " / " generally represents an "or" relationship between related objects. At least one of the following items or similar expressions thereof refers to any combination of these items, including any combination of singular items or multiple items. For example, at least one of a, b, or c may indicate: a, b, c, a and b, b and c, or a and b and c, where a, b, and c may be singular or plural.

[0518] Additionally, unless otherwise stated, ordinal numbers such as "first" and "second" used in the embodiments of the present application are intended to distinguish between multiple objects rather than to limit the order, chronology, priority, or importance of the objects.

[0519] It should be noted that the above message names are merely examples. With the evolution of communication technology, the names of any of the above messages may change. However, regardless of how the name of the message changes, the message will fall within the scope of protection of the present application, provided that the meaning of the message remains the same as the meaning of the message in the present application.
