Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of vacuum cleaners for sucking up dirt and debris present on surfaces to be cleaned, such as tiles, parquet, laminates, mats, carpets, etc. [Background technology]
[0002] In a known manner, the handheld vacuum cleaner comprises a main body with a suction duct, a dust separating and collecting device attached to the main body and extending along an extension axis, a suction motor housed in the main body and having a motor shaft, the suction motor configured to generate an airflow throughout the suction duct and the dust separating and collecting device, a grip handle extending along a longitudinal central axis substantially parallel to the motor shaft and / or the extension axis of the dust separating and collecting device, and a rechargeable battery configured to supply power to the handheld vacuum cleaner, in particular the suction motor.
[0003] When using such a handheld vacuum cleaner, the latter suction duct can be connected to a suction pipe, the lower end of which is connected to a suction head intended to be placed on the ground.
[0004] When such a handheld vacuum cleaner is not in use, the latter is generally stored, in a known manner, on a wall-mounted support base, A base body, A first fastening hole is provided in the base body and configured to intersect with a first fastening screw so as to fix the base body to a first fastening point provided on the wall surface; A second fastening hole is provided in the base body and configured to intersect with a second fastening screw so as to fix the base body to a second fastening point provided on the wall surface; and two holding members extending on either side of the grip handle of the handheld vacuum cleaner and configured to grip the grip handle.
[0005] Such a support base is generally positioned at a predetermined distance from the ground so that when the handheld vacuum cleaner is in the stored position and its suction duct is indirectly connected to the suction head, the suction head rests on the ground.
[0006] It is therefore essential that in the wall surface to which the support base is to be fixed, two wall holes are drilled, each at a predetermined distance from the ground, in order to ensure an optimal positioning of the suction head with respect to the ground.
[0007] To compensate for possible vertical misalignment of these two wall holes, the first and second fastening holes provided in the base body are generally oval in shape and configured to extend substantially vertically when the base body is fixed to a wall surface.
[0008] However, such an elliptical fastening hole cannot compensate for the vertical misalignment of the first and second fastening holes. Therefore, in such a case, when the base body is fixed to the wall surface, the support base will be inclined relative to the vertical.
[0009] Apart from the fact that such tilting may make storage of the handheld vacuum cleaner aesthetically unpleasant (especially when equipped with a suction tube and a suction head), when the gripping handle of the handheld vacuum cleaner is inserted between two holding members provided on the support base, it may induce friction or impact of the suction head against furniture or compartments placed in close proximity to the support base, which may result in deterioration of the suction head and / or said furniture or compartment.
[0010] Furthermore, if the support base is a charging base and is provided with a male electrical connector, such tilting of the support base may induce twisting and even breakage of the male electrical connector during insertion of the grip handle between the holding members provided on the support base, thus causing deterioration of the handheld vacuum cleaner. Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0011] The present invention aims to overcome all or part of these drawbacks.
[0012] In particular, the technical problem at the origin of the present invention is to provide a support base for a handheld vacuum cleaner which has a simple, reliable and ergonomic construction whilst ensuring optimal retention of the handheld vacuum cleaner in the storage position. [Means for solving the problem]
[0013] To this end, the present invention relates to a support base for a handheld vacuum cleaner, A base body configured to be fixed to a first fastening point provided on a wall surface and to be fixed to a second fastening point provided on the wall surface; a first fastening hole in the base body and configured to be intersected by a first fastening screw to secure the base body to a first fastening point; a second fastening hole in the base body, the second fastening screw configured to intersect the second fastening hole, the second fastening hole configured to fasten the base body to a second fastening point; and a support device configured to support the handheld vacuum cleaner in the storage position.
[0014] The support base includes a first adjustment means configured to adjust a positioning of the base body relative to the first fastening point according to a first adjustment direction and a second adjustment direction that are different from each other.
[0015] The presence of such an adjustment means allows the user to pre-position the base body relative to the wall surface, then sequentially insert the first and second fastening screws into the two wall holes provided in the wall surface, adjust the position of the base body relative to the first fastening point so as to orient the support base substantially vertically, particularly when there is a vertical misalignment between these two wall holes, and finally screw in the first and second fastening screws to fix the support base relative to the wall surface.
[0016] The specific configuration of the support base according to the invention therefore allows the user to compensate for possible vertical misalignment of the two wall holes, thus ensuring a substantially vertical orientation of the support base and avoiding the aforementioned disadvantages associated with an inclination of the support base relative to the vertical.
[0017] As used herein, a "wall" refers to any type of wall, for example, such a wall may be made of wood, stone, brick, concrete, plasterboard, or other materials.
[0018] The support base may further comprise one or more of the following features, considered separately or in combination:
[0019] According to one embodiment of the invention, the first adjustment means define a first adjustment range according to a first adjustment direction comprised between 10 mm and 30 mm, for example between 10 mm and 20 mm.
[0020] According to an embodiment of the invention, the first adjustment means define a second adjustment range according to a second adjustment direction comprised between 10 mm and 30 mm, for example between 15 mm and 25 mm.
[0021] According to an embodiment of the invention, the first adjustment means is configured to adjust the positioning of the first fastening screw relative to the base body according to a first adjustment direction and a second adjustment direction.
[0022] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the first and second fastening holes are configured such that one is disposed above the other when the base body is properly secured to a wall surface.

[0031] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the first fastening hole is elliptical and extends according to a first adjustment direction, the first fastening hole partially forming the first adjustment means. Advantageously, the first elliptical fastening hole is formed in the slidably mounted adjustment member and extends perpendicular to the longitudinal passage axis. In other words, when the through passage is oriented so that the adjustment member can slide horizontally, the elliptical first fastening hole extends vertically. Such a configuration allows the user, on the one hand, to effectively adjust the position of the base body relative to the first fastening point so as to orient the support base substantially vertically, and, on the other hand, to effectively adjust the distance between the first and second fastening holes relative to the distance between the first and second fastening points provided on the wall surface.

[0084] According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the body 4 has a generally cylindrical shape and includes a rear casing 15 enclosing the suction motor 14 and possibly an exhaust filter.
[0085] More specifically, the rear casing 15 includes an outer circumferential surface 16 that extends around the suction motor 14 and a connecting surface 17 that connects a rear edge of the outer circumferential surface 16 of the rear casing 15 to a front edge of the grip handle 6. The rear casing 15 has a first cross-section at the rear edge of the outer circumferential surface 16, and the grip handle 6 has a second cross-section at its front edge that is smaller than the first cross-section.
[0086] Advantageously, the connection surface 17 is annular and extends perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis A of the grip handle 6. However, according to a variant of the invention, the connection surface 17 may be inclined with respect to a transverse plane extending perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis A of the grip handle 6 at an inclination angle of less than 10°, for example less than 5°.
[0087] In particular, according to the embodiment shown in Fig. 8, the dirt separating and collecting device 7 extends according to a motor axis B of the suction motor 14 and an extension axis C that is substantially parallel to the central longitudinal axis A of the grip handle 6. Advantageously, the central longitudinal axis A, the motor axis B and the extension axis C are substantially collinear. [0103] Advantageously, the base body 33 includes two guide elements, such as guide grooves provided on opposing inner walls of the through passage 36, and the adjustment member 37 includes two guide members, such as guide ribs, configured to cooperate with the guide elements respectively during sliding of the adjustment member 37 relative to the base body 33.
[0104] According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the first fastening hole 34 partially forms the first adjustment means and, to this end, is oval-shaped and extends according to a first adjustment direction D1.
[0105] The support base 3 further comprises second adjustment means, different from the first adjustment means, configured to adjust the positioning of the base body 33, more particularly the upper part 33.2 of the base body 33, relative to the second fastening point P2 according to at least a third adjustment direction D3 parallel to the first adjustment direction D1. More particularly, the second adjustment means are configured to adjust the position of the second fastening screw 202 relative to the second fastening point P2 provided on the wall surface 100. In particular, the vertically oriented first and third adjustment directions D1, D3 in cooperation with the first adjustment means allowing the adjustment according to the first adjustment direction D1 allow the support base 3 to be adjusted vertically, in particular to ensure that the suction head, connected to the handheld vacuum cleaner 2 by a rigid suction tube, is placed on the ground. Vertical adjustment of the support base 3 can be achieved by sliding the support base 3 and the handheld vacuum cleaner 2 vertically in the vertical storage position on the support base 3 until the suction head touches the ground, and then tightening the screws to secure the support base 3 to the wall surface 100.
[0106] According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the second fastening holes 35 partially form the second adjustment means. To this end, the second fastening holes 35 are oval-shaped and extend according to a third adjustment direction D3. Advantageously, the second fastening holes 35 extend in a longitudinal central plane P of the support base 3. When the support base 3 is appropriately fixed to the wall surface 100, the longitudinal central plane P extends vertically.
[0107] Additionally, the support base 3 includes two retention members 38, such as retention tabs, extending from the base body 33. The base body 33 and the two retention members 38 define a retention compartment 39 configured to at least partially receive the grip handle 6.
[0108] More specifically, the two holding members 38 extend on either side of the grip handle 6 and are configured to sandwich the grip handle 6 when the handheld vacuum cleaner 2 is in the storage position. Advantageously, the support base 3 is configured such that the two holding members 38 extend substantially perpendicular to the wall surface 100 when the base body 33 is fixed to the wall surface 100.
[0109] 11, the two holding members 38 are disposed opposite each other and on either side of the longitudinal central plane P of the support base 3. Advantageously, the two holding members 38 are disposed symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal central plane P of the support base 3.
[0110] According to the illustrated embodiment, each of the retaining members 38 is flexible, and the two retaining members 38 are configured to be elastically deformable between a first configuration in which the two retaining members 38 are spaced apart from each other by a first spacing distance, and a second configuration in which the two retaining members 38 are spaced apart from each other by a second spacing distance that is greater than the first spacing distance.
[0111] In detail, as shown in Fig. 3, the two retaining members 38 are spaced apart from each other and include free ends 41 tapered such that a height measured according to the vertical direction decreases in the direction of the free end of each retaining member 38 when the support base 3 is fixed to the wall surface 100. Advantageously, the free ends 41 of the two retaining members 38 converge towards each other.
[0112] In particular, as shown in Figure 14, the grip handle 6 further includes two retaining lugs 42 diametrically opposed relative to the central longitudinal axis A of the grip handle 6. Each retaining lug 42 projects from an outer surface of the grip handle 6 in a radial direction relative to the central longitudinal axis A of the grip handle 6. Advantageously, the retaining lugs 42 are provided on the first handle portion 22.
[0113] Each of the retaining members 38 provided on the support base 3 is configured to fit under a respective retaining lug 42 when the handheld vacuum cleaner 2 is in the stored position to support the grip handle 6 and thus prevent the latter from sliding due to gravity relative to the support base 3. Advantageously, each retaining lug 42 includes an underside surface 43 which is substantially planar and configured to contact, i.e. rest, on, the respective retaining member 38.
[0114] 14, the connection surface 17 is located opposite the two retaining lugs 42, more particularly opposite the lower surfaces 43 of the retaining lugs 42. The connection surface 17 is spaced apart from each retaining lug 42 by a spacing distance D that substantially corresponds to the maximum height of each retaining member 38. Advantageously, the ratio between the spacing distance D and the maximum height of each retaining member 38 is comprised between 0.9 and 1.1.
[0115] 14 , the connecting surface 17 and the outer circumferential surface 16 of the rear casing 15 are annular and define a guide edge 44 extending about the central longitudinal axis A. The guide edge 44 is configured to guide the two retaining members 38 when the grip handle 6 is inserted between them.
[0116] According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the support base 3 is a charging base, has a cylindrical shape and comprises a male electrical connector 45 configured to cooperate with a female electrical connector 46 provided on the grip handle 6 when the handheld vacuum cleaner 2 is in the storage position. For example, the male electrical connector 45 can extend substantially in the longitudinal central plane P of the support base 3.
[0117] Advantageously, the male electrical connector 45 is electrically connected to a male electrical socket (not shown), a so-called electrical plug, configured to be connected to an electrical network, and more particularly to a female electrical socket, such as an electrical wall socket.
[0118] More specifically, the suction assembly 1 is configured such that the action of fixing the handheld vacuum cleaner 2 on the support base 3 by inserting the grip handle 6 between the two holding members 38 and fitting each holding member 38 under a respective holding pin 42 allows establishing an electrical connection between the female electrical connector 46 provided on the grip handle 6 and the male electrical connector 45 provided on the support base 3. In other words, the grip handle 6 of the handheld vacuum cleaner 2 is configured to be inserted between the two holding members 38 according to a first insertion direction D1, and the male electrical connector 45 is configured to be inserted into the female electrical connector 46 according to a second insertion direction D2 substantially parallel to the first insertion direction D1.
[0119] According to an embodiment not shown, the second fastening hole 35 can have a circular cross section, in which case the support base 3 would be devoid of second adjustment means.
[0120] According to another embodiment not shown, the support base 3 can include at least one additional fastening hole provided in the lower part 33.1 and / or the upper part 33.2 of the base body 33, which such additional fastening hole can be oval in shape and extend substantially parallel to the first adjustment direction D1.
[0121] According to yet another embodiment not shown, the second adjustment means may include an additional adjustment member slidably mounted relative to the upper part 33.2 of the base body according to a fourth adjustment direction substantially parallel to the second adjustment direction D2, the additional adjustment member comprising a second fastening hole 35.
[0122] Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments described and illustrated only by way of example: modifications may be made, particularly with regard to the structure of the various elements or by the substitution of technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of the invention.
