To provide a method for improving the storage stability of a target compound.SOLUTION: In the production method of the present invention, a ligand compound capable of coordinating to a metal ion is reacted with a first compound having an atomic group capable of undergoing a click reaction to obtain a product containing a second compound having the atomic group capable of undergoing a click reaction and a ligand in the structure. Thereafter, the product is subjected to liquid chromatography using an eluent containing a water-soluble organic acid having predetermined physical properties and not containing trifluoroacetic acid to obtain the purified second compound.
