Generate accurate answers to user questions. [Solution] The information processing system includes an external database that stores external information which is information relating to the object being questioned; a user support control unit that classifies the information contained in the external information into categories equivalent to question categories which are categories of questions about the object being questioned, and stores each of the partial external information consisting of the external information belonging to each category in the external database; and a category identification unit that identifies the question category. The user support control unit generates answer request information which assigns the question category identified by the category identification unit to question information which is a question from the user regarding the object being questioned; requests a language model to generate an answer to the question by referring to the partial external information classified into the question category based on the question information; and obtains the answer generated in response to the request.
