The location of auxiliary drainage systems in a field is mechanically designed based on field preparation information. [Solution] The auxiliary drainage design method (S1) includes an acquisition step (S11) of acquiring the boundary line of the target field, a cut-and-fill construction map showing the extent of cut and fill of the field, and the location of the field's drainage outlet; a reference drainage line generation step (S12) of searching for the longest straight line from the drainage outlet location to the boundary line and generating it as a reference drainage line; a first auxiliary drainage line generation step (S13) of rotating the reference drainage line by a predetermined angle with respect to the reference drainage line centered on the drainage outlet location to generate a first auxiliary drainage line from the drainage outlet location to the boundary line; and a second auxiliary drainage line generation step (S14) of generating a plurality of second auxiliary drainage lines from the reference drainage line to the boundary line, taking into account the extent of the fill.
