This invention discloses a system for preventing overheating and cracking of the heating surface fins in a power plant boiler. The system, used in power plant boilers, includes: heating surface tubes extending along a first direction, multiple heating surface tubes spaced apart along a second direction; fins connecting adjacent heating surface tubes; and rib structures disposed on the wall surface of the fins facing the outer side of the furnace, with the rib structures located in the middle region of the fins along the second direction. According to this invention, by adding rib structures to the wall surface of the fins facing the outer side of the furnace, and with the rib structures located in the middle region of the fins along the second direction, the system can effectively dissipate heat from the middle region of the fins along the second direction without changing the fin width, overcoming the problem of fin cracking caused by fin overheating in the prior art, which leads to cracking and leakage of the heating surface tubes.
