Abstract

This provides an analytical calculation method that enables highly accurate solution searching even when there are many unknown variables to explore or when the information obtained from observational data is limited. [Solution] The analytical calculation method consists of an objective function design unit, a solution search range narrowing unit, and an optimal solution search unit. The objective function design unit determines the evaluation values of unknown variables based on a mechanism by which humans evaluate external information in comparison with internal knowledge. The solution search range narrowing unit applies the process by which humans recognize external information taken in through their five senses and evaluate and modify it to match internal knowledge, thereby narrowing the range of unknown variables that match the intuitive knowledge set in the solution space. The optimal solution search unit updates the initial set of variables based on the evaluation values of each individual calculated in the objective function design unit and searches for the optimal solution. Combinatorial optimization algorithms such as genetic algorithms, simulated annealing, and particle swarm optimization are used to search for the optimal solution.
