Product master data creation device and its program

Abstract

Based on data collected from multiple retail stores, a product master database with unified category and other information is efficiently created. [Solution] The product master creation device obtains information on a first item that can be a feature for each product from the first sales management data generated using the first product master and the second sales management data generated using the second product master. The creation device then classifies each product based on the similarity of the acquired information and selects category information suitable for products belonging to the same classification based on the information on the second item included in the first and second sales management data of products that have been determined to belong to the same classification. The creation device then creates a third product master that records category information suitable for products identified by each product identification code, in association with the product identification code of each product.
