Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a mounting structure for a digital mirror that is mounted using an existing rearview mirror or the like inside a vehicle. [Background technology]
[0002] When checking the rear using an existing rearview mirror installed in a vehicle such as an automobile, it is unavoidable that people or luggage inside the vehicle get in the way, and the field of view is limited depending on the size of the rear window. In order to solve this problem, in recent years, images captured by a camera installed at the rear of the vehicle have been displayed on a digital mirror attached to the existing rearview mirror. Since the rear can be checked with a clear image without any obstructions, it is expected to contribute to improved visibility and therefore improved safety.
[0003] As an example of a mounting structure for this type of digital mirror, the one described in Patent Document 1 is known. This has a rectangular main body with a display on its surface, and four protruding grip pieces arranged in pairs at intervals on the left and right sides of the back side of the main body, and is attached so that the main body covers the mirror surface of the rearview mirror. When attached, the mirror surface of the rearview mirror is covered and replaces the display, and the four grip pieces sandwich the rearview mirror, so that the digital mirror is held by the clamping force of the grip pieces. In other words, the existing rearview mirror is used as a support. The document also describes that the upper and lower grip pieces may be tied together with an elastic body such as a rubber band to ensure the holding. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0004] [Patent Document 1] Patent No. 7202724 [Patent Document 2] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 11-310079 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] In the mounting structure described in Patent Document 1, when looking inside the vehicle through the windshield, the protruding structure of the gripping member on the back side of the digital mirror is directly visible, making it easy to recognize that the digital mirror is simply placed over the existing rearview mirror. This inevitably results in a poor appearance and is also an obstacle to improving the interior design of the vehicle.
[0006] In this regard, Patent Document 2 discloses an interior mirror for an automobile, which is not a digital mirror but is configured to cover an existing rearview mirror (synonymous with a room mirror) from its rear side with a cover body and then screw a front cover having a reflector from the front side, and this can be useful from the viewpoint of improving the interior design of a vehicle. However, the cover body is an integral structure with a groove formed in the center in the left-right direction to accommodate the support arm of the rearview mirror, and while a groove needs to be formed only on the top surface of the cover body in the type in which the support arm extends upward from the top surface of the rearview mirror, in the type in which the support arm extends upward from the back surface of the rearview mirror or extends horizontally from the back surface, a groove must be formed that connects from the top surface of the cover body to the back surface, and as a result, an unnecessary opening (groove) remains after the rearview mirror is covered with the cover body.
[0007] Furthermore, when fitting the cover body from the back side of the rearview mirror, a space equal to or larger than the maximum width size of the cover body in the thickness direction of the rearview mirror (front-to-rear direction of the vehicle) is required. In recent years, there are vehicles that are part of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) and have a rearview mirror attached adjacent to a radar device fixed to the windshield, etc. In this case, there is only an extremely narrow space between the radar device case and the rearview mirror, making it difficult to apply the configuration of Patent Document 2.
[0008] The present invention was devised in consideration of the above-mentioned points, and its purpose is to provide a mounting structure for a digital mirror that is easy to install even in a small space and can improve the interior design of the vehicle from the standpoint of appearance. [Means for solving the problem]
[0009] In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the mounting structure (2) for a digital mirror of the present invention is mounted by utilizing an existing rearview mirror equipped in a vehicle or a joining configuration of the existing rearview mirror to the vehicle, and is composed of a digital mirror main body (16) that is fitted from the mirror surface (14a) side of the rearview mirror (14), and a back cover (18) that covers the side opposite the mirror surface (14a) of the digital mirror main body (16), the back cover (18) having a two-piece configuration that is butted against the digital mirror main body (16) by sliding it from the left and right, and has an opening (22) that avoids interference with the support arm (20) of the rearview mirror (14), and is fixed integrally with the digital mirror main body (16) by fixing means (38) after the butting is completed.
[0010] According to the mounting structure for the digital mirror of the present invention, the rear cover is configured to slide, so almost no space is required to cover the rearview mirror, and it can be easily attached to a rearview mirror that is installed adjacent to a radar device or the like. Furthermore, since it is not visible from the outside that it has been covered over the rearview mirror, it can also improve the interior design of the vehicle.
[0011] Furthermore, in the above digital mirror mounting structure (2), the fixing means (38) may be provided on both of the two-piece rear cover (18) and may be configured to include an overlapping portion (40) that overlaps when butted together, a screw insertion hole (42a) provided in the outer portion (42) of the overlapping portion (40), a female threaded portion (44a) provided in the inner portion (44), a fixing screw (46) that screws into the female threaded portion (44a) through the screw insertion hole (42a), and an engagement portion (48) that prevents the digital mirror main body (16) and the rear cover (18) from being separated in the thickness direction of the digital mirror main body (16) after they are butted together. This allows the rear covers to be maintained in an butted state and can be fixed with screws in that state, making the mounting work easier.
[0012] Furthermore, in the above digital mirror mounting structure (2), the overlapping portion (40) may be provided on the lower side of the rear cover (18) in the vertical direction, and a locking portion (54) consisting of a claw (50) formed on one side of the rear cover (18) and a claw receiver (52) formed on the other side may be provided on the upper side. This allows the rear covers to be reliably maintained in a butted state, and also makes it easier to perform the screw fixing work.
[0013] Furthermore, the mounting structure (2) for the digital mirror described above may be configured so that guide portions (16h, 16i) for guiding the slide are provided on either or both of the digital mirror main body portion (16) and the rear cover (18). This makes it easier to slide the rear cover.
[0014] Furthermore, the above digital mirror mounting structure (2) may be configured so that a recess (36) for pulling out the wiring (56) of the digital mirror main body (16) is formed adjacent to the opening (22). This makes it easier to pull out the wiring and makes the shape of the pulled out wiring look good.
[0015] The mounting structure (58) for the digital mirror may have the same joint (64) as the joint of the rearview mirror (14) to the vehicle (4), and may be mounted to a mirror simulator (60) mounted inside the vehicle in place of the rearview mirror (14). This allows the digital mirror to be mounted without design changes even to rearview mirrors whose specifications change depending on the vehicle model, etc.
[0016] Furthermore, in the above digital mirror mounting structure (58), the mirror dummy body (60) may be configured to include a mirror substitute body (62) that is screwed to the digital mirror main body (16), and a support arm (66) having one end fixed to the mirror substitute body (62) and the other end having a joint (64). This makes it possible to mount the digital mirror without changing the design, even for rearview mirrors whose specifications change depending on the vehicle model, etc.
[0017] In addition, in the digital mirror mounting structure 58, the mirror substitute 62 and the support arm 66 may be integrally formed. This makes it easy to replace the rearview mirror and allows the mirror substitute to be formed at low cost. It should be noted that the reference numerals in parentheses above indicate, for reference, the drawing reference numerals of corresponding components in the embodiments described below. Effect of the Invention
[0018] According to the present invention, it is possible to easily install the device even in a small space, and it is also possible to improve the interior design of the vehicle from the standpoint of appearance. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0020] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0021] [First embodiment] A first embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 8. Figure 1 shows a schematic diagram of a vehicle 4 having a digital mirror mounting structure 2 according to this embodiment. The digital mirror mounting structure 2 is provided inside a cover for a radar device 8 installed inside a windshield 6. A camera 10 is installed at the rear of the vehicle 4, and an image captured by the camera 10 is displayed on the liquid crystal display of a digital mirror 12.
[0022] 2, the mounting structure 2 for the digital mirror is attached by utilizing the existing rearview mirror 14 installed in the vehicle, and comprises a digital mirror main body 16 that is fitted to cover the rearview mirror 14 from the mirror surface 14a side of the rearview mirror 14, and a synthetic resin back cover 18 that covers the side opposite the mirror surface 14a of the digital mirror main body 16, the back cover 18 having a two-piece structure that is butted against the digital mirror main body 16 by sliding it from the left and right, and has an opening 22 that avoids interference with the support arm 20 of the rearview mirror 14, and after butting, is fixed integrally with the digital mirror main body 16 by a fixing means described later. Note that, as viewed from the driver, arrow X indicates the left-right direction, arrow Y indicates the front-rear direction, and arrow Z indicates the up-down direction.
[0023] The digital mirror main body 16 has a receiving recess 16a on the back side (the side of the arrow Y1) deep enough to receive the front part of the rearview mirror 14, and after fitting, positional deviation in the left-right and up-down directions with respect to the rearview mirror 14 is restricted. The digital mirror main body 16 also has left and right engagement edges 16b, 16c and corner engagement edges 16d, 16e, 16f, 16g that engage with engagement edges (not shown) of the rearview covers 18L, 18R to prevent them from coming off in the arrow Y1 direction with respect to the digital mirror main body 16 when the left and right rearview covers 18L, 18R are slid from the left and right directions and butted together. Guide plates 16h, 16i are provided as guides for guiding the sliding of the rearview covers 18L, 18R at positions facing each other in the up-down direction at the center of the left-right direction of the digital mirror main body 16. Reference numeral 16j denotes an outlet for drawing out a harness 56 (see FIG. 5) consisting of a power line and a signal line of the digital mirror main body 16.
[0024] The rear cover 18 is composed of a left rear cover 18L and a right rear cover 18R, and the opening 22 is also divided into two parts, a left opening 22L and a right opening 22R. The opening 22 is formed in a shape (here, a circle) that surrounds the peripheral surface of the support arm 20 of the rearview mirror 14 when the left rear cover 18L and the right rear cover 18R are butted together.
[0025] Fig. 3 shows the digital mirror 12 with the back cover 18 fixed to the digital mirror main body 16 without being attached to the rearview mirror 14, and reference numeral 26 in Fig. 3(b), the front view, indicates the liquid crystal display of the digital mirror main body 16. As shown in Fig. 3(e), the bottom view, an illuminance sensor 28, an SD card slot 30, a microphone 32, and a group of various operation buttons 34 are provided on the underside of the digital mirror main body 16. Fig. 4 is a view of the digital mirror 12 seen obliquely from below, and below the opening 22, a recess 36 is formed in series for pulling out the harness 56 of the digital mirror main body 16 to the outside.
[0026] FIG. 5 shows a state in which the left rear cover 18L and the right rear cover 18R are slid together and guided by the guide plates 16h and 16i begins. Before the guide plates 16h and 16i begin guiding, the rear cover 18 is easily disengaged from the digital mirror main body 16, or conversely, the degree of freedom of engagement of the rear cover 18 with the digital mirror main body 16 is high, making it easy for the worker to align (register). When the guide plates 16h and 16i begin guiding, the left rear cover 18L and the right rear cover 18R slide smoothly, and finally the left rear cover 18L and the right rear cover 18R come into contact with each other at their sliding direction ends, completing the abutment. In this state, the rear cover 18 is restricted from coming off the digital mirror main body 16 in the direction of the arrow Y1 in FIG. 2 by the engagement with the left and right engagement edges 16b and 16c and the corner engagement edges 16d, 16e, 16f, and 16g. The guide plates 16h and 16i may be provided on the rear cover 18 side, or on both sides.
[0027] 6, the fixing means 38 for fixing the digital mirror main body 16 and the back cover 18 together is provided on both of the two-piece back cover 18, and is composed of an overlapping portion 40 that is overlapped by butting together, a countersunk screw insertion hole 42a provided on the outer portion 42 of the overlapping portion 40, a female screw portion 44a provided on the inner portion 44, a fixing screw 46 that is screwed into the female screw portion 44a through the screw insertion hole 42a, and an engagement portion 48 (see FIG. 2) that prevents the digital mirror main body 16 and the back cover 18 from being separated in the thickness direction (arrow Y direction) of the digital mirror main body 16 after butting together. The engagement portion 48 is composed of the left and right engagement edges 16b, 16c and corner engagement edges 16d, 16e, 16f, 16g of the digital mirror main body 16 described above, and the corresponding engagement edges of the back cover 18.
[0028] In this embodiment, the overlapping portion 40 is provided on the lower side in the vertical direction of the rear cover 18, and on the upper side, a locking portion 54 is provided, which is composed of a claw 50 formed on one side of the rear cover 18 (the left rear cover 18L) and a claw receiver 52 formed on the other side (the right rear cover 18R). In this embodiment, the locking portion 54 also constitutes a part of the fixing means 38. The claw 50 and the claw receiver 52 are relatively formed between the left rear cover 18L and the right rear cover 18R, and may be formed in the reversed manner. FIG. 6(a) shows a state immediately before the left rear cover 18L and the right rear cover 18R are butted together. When the butting is completed, as shown in FIG. 6(b), the claw 50 is engaged with the claw receiver 52 on the upper side by elastic deformation, and the screw insertion hole 42a faces the female screw portion 44a on the lower side. Thereafter, the left rear cover 18L and the right rear cover 18R are integrated by screwing the fixing screw 46, which is a countersunk screw, into the female screw portion 44a. That is, the digital mirror 12 is integrated in the thickness direction (arrow Y direction) by the engaging portion 48, and the digital mirror 12 is integrated in the left-right direction (arrow X direction) by the fixing means 38 excluding the engaging portion 48.
[0029] When the left rear cover 18L and the right rear cover 18R are butted together, the engagement of the claw 50 and the claw receiver 52 causes the digital mirror 12 to be temporarily fixed. In this state, the worker holds the butt portion with one hand so that the female screw portion 44a and the screw insertion hole 42a do not shift in position, and with the other hand, places the fixing screw 46 on the countersunk screw insertion hole 42a, and turns the fixing screw 46 with a finger to screw the tip (part) into the female screw portion 44a. After the tip is screwed, the hand holding the butt portion is released, and the fixing screw 46 is turned with a screwdriver to tighten it completely. Since the screw insertion hole 42a is countersunk, there is no need to visually check the screw insertion hole 42a when inserting the fixing screw 46, and the operator can trace it with his or her finger to get an idea. Since the screw is turned on the underside of the digital mirror 12, the fixing screw 46 can be easily tightened. As a result, the digital mirror 12 is attached to the joint inside the cover of the radar device 8 in place of the rearview mirror 14, using the rearview mirror 14 as a support body. The support arm 20 of the rearview mirror 14 is shared. Note that if the left rear cover 18L and the right rear cover 18R are firmly integrated simply by fixing them with the fixing screws 46 at the overlapping portions 40, the locking portions 54 are not necessarily required.
[0030] 7 and 8 show the actual mounting state of the digital mirror 12 to the radar device 8. Fig. 7 shows the state after the right rear cover 18R is mounted. The harness 56 is pulled out to the outside from the recess 36 connected to the opening 22, and then pulled up and introduced into the case of the radar device 8.
[0031] As shown in Fig. 8, the gap K between the front side of the radar device 8 to which the rearview mirror 14 is attached and the rearview mirror 14 is extremely narrow. The integrated cover described in Patent Document 2 is shaped to be placed from the rearview mirror 14, and therefore cannot be placed if the width of the cover in the direction of the arrow Y is larger than the gap K. In contrast, in the mounting structure 2 according to this embodiment, the left rear cover 18L and the right rear cover 18R are simply slid from the left-right direction and butted together, so the space required to place the rear cover 18 is within the width W of the digital mirror 12 after mounting is complete. In other words, mounting is possible even if there is almost no gap K.
[0032] After the opening 22 is butted together, it surrounds the periphery of the support arm 20 of the rearview mirror 14 with almost no gaps, so no unnecessary opening remains. The rear side of the digital mirror main body 16 is completely covered with the rearview cover 18, so that those looking from the windshield 6 cannot recognize the presence of the rearview mirror 14 and can only see the digital mirror 12 itself. This makes it possible to improve the interior design of the vehicle by covering the rearview mirror 14 and installing the digital mirror 12, and depending on the form design of the digital mirror 12, it may also contribute to improving the interior design of the vehicle.
[0033] [Second embodiment] The second embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 9 and 10. Note that the same parts as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the explanations of the configuration and function already given will be omitted as appropriate unless otherwise necessary.
[0034] In the above embodiment, the mounting structure 2 corresponding to a specific existing rearview mirror 14 was exemplified, but there are various shapes of rearview mirrors 14 and support arms 20, and if one were to try to accommodate each of them one by one, the design of the digital mirror 12 would have to be changed. In that case, multiple molding dies would be required, and an increase in manufacturing costs would be unavoidable. In this embodiment, the purpose is to suppress an increase in manufacturing costs due to design changes.
[0035] The mounting structure 58 for the digital mirror according to this embodiment is characterized in that the digital mirror 12 is mounted to a mirror dummy body 60 that has the same joint as the joint of the rear-view mirror 14 to the vehicle 4 and is mounted inside the vehicle in place of the rear-view mirror 14. As shown in FIG. 9, the mirror dummy body 60 is composed of a mirror substitute (attachment) 62 that is covered by the digital mirror main body 16, and a support arm (stay) 66 that has one end fixed to the mirror substitute 62 and the other end having a joint 64. The mirror substitute 62 has a dedicated specification corresponding to the digital mirror 12. The support arm 66 has a fixing piece 68 at one end, which is fixed to the mirror substitute 62 with a screw (not shown). The mirror substitute 62 is fixed to the digital mirror main body 16 with a screw (not shown) through a plurality of screw insertion holes 62a. A cylindrical female screw portion is formed in the digital mirror main body 16. The joint 64 has the same configuration as the joint of the rearview mirror 14 to the vehicle 4, and is fixed in a predetermined position with screws or the like after removing the original rearview mirror 14 of the vehicle 4. After the mirror simulation body 60 is attached, the digital mirror 12 can be attached in the same manner as in the first embodiment.
[0036] 10 shows the state in which the digital mirror 12 is attached via the mirror simulation body 60. In this embodiment, the existing rearview mirror (original mirror) 14 is attached to an inner panel 70 fixed to the windshield 6. When the cover on the driver's side of the inner panel 70 is removed, the joint portion of the rearview mirror 14 to the vehicle 4 appears, and is removed using a screwdriver or the like. After that, when the mirror simulation body 60 is attached and the cover is fitted back into place, the joint portion 64 is covered and cannot be seen from the outside.
[0037] If the rearview mirror 14 is removed together with the support arm 20 and replaced with the mirror simulation body 60, and a digital mirror 12 corresponding to this mirror simulation body 60 is attached, there is no need to change the design of the digital mirror 12. The mirror simulation body 60 is a simple dummy structure that does not have a mirror surface and only resembles the appearance, so the manufacturing cost is low. In this way, the same digital mirror 12 can be attached even if the configuration of the rearview mirror 14 changes due to a change in the vehicle model.
[0038] In this embodiment, the mirror substitute 62 and the support arm 66 are formed separately and then assembled, but the mirror substitute 62 and the support arm 66 may be integrally molded. This can reduce the manufacturing cost of the mirror simulation body 60 and also facilitate replacement work. Also, the mirror substitute 62 is fixed to the digital mirror main body 16 with screws, but the digital mirror main body 16 may simply be fitted in the same manner as in the first embodiment.
[0039] Although the embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the technical ideas described in the utility model claims and the specification and drawings. For example, in the above embodiment, the left and right rear covers 18L and 18R are fixed after butting together by the locking portion 54 and the fixing screw 46, but the rear cover 18 may be fixed by snapping it at the top and bottom. The liquid crystal display 26 of the digital mirror main body 16 may be configured to be switchable between a display that displays a captured image and a normal mirror surface. It may also be configured as a drive recorder that can communicate with the rear camera 10 and the front camera. In addition, the mounting structure of the digital mirror 12 has been described in each of the above embodiments, but the present invention is also effective when changing the existing rearview mirror 14 to a wide mirror or the like with a wide display surface.
