Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a liquid storage container having a puncture port and a method for manufacturing the liquid storage container. [Background technology]
[0002] Conventionally, liquid storage containers are used to store medical liquids such as cells and blood. The liquid storage container has a puncture port into which a puncture instrument such as a bottle needle or a syringe used to extract the contents or inject liquids such as physiological saline is inserted. The puncture instrument is configured with a needle tube part with a through hole formed therein. On the other hand, the puncture port has a tubular structure and a partition wall inside. When extracting liquid stored in the liquid storage container with the puncture instrument or injecting liquid into the liquid storage container, the needle tube part of the puncture instrument is punctured into the partition wall of the puncture port to penetrate the partition wall. In this way, the contents are extracted or injected through the needle tube part. There is a demand for a liquid storage container that causes little loss of the contents when the contents are extracted.
[0003] When a puncture instrument is inserted into a puncture port, leakage of the contents may occur. Specifically, if the length of the opening of the through hole at the tip of the needle tube of the puncture instrument is greater than the thickness of the partition, the inside and outside of the puncture port communicate with each other as the opening penetrates the partition, causing leakage. Such leakage of the contents results in loss of the contents, and is also undesirable from the viewpoint of maintaining the sterility of the contents.
[0004] Therefore, a puncture device (medical plastic needle) has been proposed that can seal a puncture port by engaging the puncture device with the puncture port before the tip of the puncture device penetrates the partition of the puncture port (see, for example, Patent Document 1). [0005] [Patent Document 1] JP 2007-196048 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0006] In the puncture device proposed in Patent Document 1, the outer diameter of the insertion part (fitting part) of the puncture device needs to be changed according to the inner diameter of the puncture port. Therefore, depending on the size of the puncture device, it may not be possible to maintain the hermeticity of the puncture port.
[0007] Therefore, the present invention aims to provide a liquid storage container and a method for manufacturing such a liquid storage container that can ensure airtightness when puncturing without being limited by the size of the insertion portion of the puncture device, and that can reduce the occurrence of loss of contents. [Means for solving the problem]
[0008] The present invention relates to a liquid storage container having a puncture port that is punctured by a puncture instrument having a needle tube portion with a through hole formed therein, the liquid storage container comprising a liquid storage portion that stores a liquid, and a liquid discharge portion that discharges the liquid stored in the liquid storage portion, the puncture port comprising a cylindrical port main body portion, and a first partition wall and a second partition wall provided on the port main body portion, and the port main body portion is joined to the liquid discharge portion at the boundary between the liquid storage portion and the liquid discharge portion.
[0009] It is also preferable that the puncture port includes a cylindrical first port member having one end blocked by the first partition wall and a cylindrical second port member having one end blocked by the second partition wall, and that a part or all of the second port member is disposed at the boundary portion inside the first port member, and that the first port member, the second port member and the liquid discharge portion are welded to each other at the boundary portion.
[0010] It is also preferable that the first port member and the second port member are disposed in the liquid outlet portion such that the openings on the other end sides of each of them face the liquid storage portion.
[0011] It is preferable that the second port member has a small diameter portion located at the one end and having an outer diameter approximately equal to the inner diameter of the first port member, and a large diameter portion located at the other end adjacent to the small diameter portion and having an outer diameter equal to the outer diameter of the first port member, and that the second port member is welded to the liquid discharge portion via the first port member at the small diameter portion, and is welded to the liquid discharge portion at the large diameter portion.
[0012] It is also preferable that the liquid storage portion is formed by welding the peripheral portions of a pair of sheet-like members arranged opposite each other, and that the sheet-like members, the first port member and the second port member are made of the same material.
[0013] In addition, in terms of the puncture direction, the distance between the first partition and the second partition is preferably longer than at least the length in the puncture direction of the opening portion of the through hole at the tip end of the needle tube portion.
[0014] The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a liquid storage container which stores liquid and which comprises a puncture port to be punctured with a puncture device having a needle tube portion with a through hole formed therein, a liquid outlet portion, and a liquid storage portion, the method including the steps of: inserting a part or all of the second port member into the first port member in a state in which an opening on the other end side of a first port member, one end of which is blocked by a first partition, and an opening on the other end side of a second port member, one end of which is blocked by a second partition, face in the same direction; and after the inserting step, inserting the first port member and the second port member into a state in which the opening on the other end side of the first port member faces in the same direction. the first port member, the second port member and the set of sheet-like members being welded together in the liquid storage portion forming step, wherein the set of sheet-like members are welded together in the liquid storage portion forming step so as to include the portion welded in the welding step.
[0015] It is preferable that the second port member has a small diameter portion located at the one end and having an outer diameter substantially equal to the inner diameter of the first port member, and a large diameter portion located at the other end adjacent to the small diameter portion and having the same outer diameter as the outer diameter of the first port member, and that in the inserting step, the small diameter portion of the second port member is inserted into the first port member until a step between the small diameter portion and the large diameter portion of the second port member abuts against an opening of the first port member, and that in the welding step, the second port member is welded to the first port member and the liquid outlet portion at the small diameter portion, and is welded to the liquid outlet portion at the large diameter portion. Effect of the Invention
[0016] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a liquid storage container and a method for manufacturing the liquid storage container that can ensure airtightness when puncturing without being limited by the size of the insertion portion of the puncture device and that can reduce the occurrence of loss of contents. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0018] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the puncture port and liquid storage container of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The liquid storage container is mainly composed of a sheet-like member made of a flexible thermoplastic resin, and is used to store medical liquids such as cells such as stem cells collected from a biological sample, cell preparations produced by culturing and processing these cells, blood, and blood preparations produced by processing blood. The puncture port and liquid storage container of the present invention can also be used to store liquids that require sterility in addition to medical liquids.
[0019] (First embodiment) First, a liquid storage container 1 of the first embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 3. As shown in Figure 1, the liquid storage container 1 of the first embodiment comprises a liquid storage section 10, a liquid introduction section 20, a liquid discharge section 30, a puncture port 40 disposed in the liquid discharge section 30, and a puncture port housing section 50.
[0020] 1 to 3, the liquid storage portion 10 is formed by overlapping a pair of sheet-like members 61, 62 and joining most of their peripheral edges together. The liquid storage portion 10 has a liquid storage space 11 that is a space surrounded by the sheet-like members 61, 62 whose peripheral edges are joined together. In the first embodiment, the liquid storage portion 10 is formed in a circular shape in a plan view, as shown in FIG.
[0021] The liquid introduction part 20 is used when introducing liquid into the liquid storage part 10. The liquid introduction part 20 includes a liquid introduction path 21 and a liquid introduction tube 22 arranged in this liquid introduction path 21. The liquid introduction path 21 is formed in each of the sheet-like members 61, 62 and is configured by liquid introduction grooves 211 extending outward from the liquid storage portion 10. One end of the liquid introduction groove 211 is continuous with the liquid storage space 11. The other end of the liquid introduction groove 211 may extend to the edge of the sheet-like members 61, 62 (the outer edge of the portion where the sheet-like members 61, 62 are joined).
[0022] The liquid introduction tube 22 is disposed in the liquid introduction path 21. The liquid introduction tube 22 introduces liquid such as cells collected from a biological sample to the liquid storage section 10 in a sterile and airtight state. The liquid introduction tube 22 is made of a thermoplastic resin such as an EVA resin. In the first embodiment, the liquid introduction tube 22 is disposed in a liquid introduction groove 211 formed in the sheet-like members 61, 62 such that one end side of the liquid introduction tube 22 communicates with the liquid storage space 11. A tube clip 23 that opens and closes the flow path of the liquid introduction tube 22 is attached to the liquid introduction tube 22. In addition, a connection port 24 is attached to the tip of the liquid introduction tube 22 to which a syringe or other device used for introducing cells into the liquid storage container 1 can be connected.
[0023] The liquid outlet portion 30 is used when outletting the liquid contained in the liquid storage portion 10. The liquid outlet portion 30 is disposed at a position opposite to the position at which the liquid introduction portion 20 is disposed in the circular liquid storage portion 10. The liquid outlet portion 30 is constituted by recessed grooves 31 formed in each of the sheet-like members 61, 62, and extends outside the liquid storage portion 10. One end of the liquid outlet portion 30 is continuous with the liquid storage space 11.
[0024] The puncture port 40 is disposed in the liquid discharge portion 30. The puncture port 40 includes a cylindrical port main body portion 43, a first partition wall 411, and a second partition wall 421. In the first embodiment, the puncture port 40 is configured by a first port member 41 and a second port member 42.
[0025] The first port member 41 is configured in a cylindrical shape with one end closed by a first partition wall 411 (see Figs. 5A to 5D). A pair of slits 413 extending in the longitudinal direction of the first port member 41 is formed in the opening on the other end side of the first port member 41. The first port member 41 is arranged so that the other end side where the slits are formed is located on the liquid storage part 10 side. In other words, the opening on the other end side is arranged so that it faces the liquid storage part 10 side. The pair of slits 413 are arranged in a portion that does not follow the surface of the sheet-like members 61, 62. Therefore, the portion of the opening of the first port member 41 where the pair of slits 413 are not formed follows the surface of the sheet-like members 61, 62, and serves as a protective portion 414 that prevents the tip of a puncture instrument such as a bottle needle from directly contacting the sheet-like members 61, 62 when puncturing. Furthermore, by forming a pair of slits 413, the contained liquid can easily flow toward opening 220 of puncture device 200 (see FIG. 12).
[0026] The second port member 42 is configured in a cylindrical shape with one end closed by a second partition wall 421, and the outer diameter thereof is formed to be approximately equal to the inner diameter of the first port member 41 (see FIGS. 5A to 5D). The second port member 42 is configured to be shorter in length than the first port member 41. The second port member 42 is inserted into the first port member 41 with the opening on the other end side facing the liquid storage section 10, and is disposed in a portion of the first port member 41 where the slit 413 is not formed.
[0027] The puncture port 40 (port main body 43) is disposed in the liquid outlet section 30 with the second port member 42 inserted into the first port member 41. In this embodiment, a portion of one end side of the first port member 41 (a portion of the port main body 43) protrudes outward from the liquid outlet section 30. It is noted that a portion of the first port member 41 does not have to protrude outward from the liquid outlet section 30. The first port member 41 and the second port member 42 constituting the puncture port 40 are formed from a thermoplastic resin such as an EVA resin.
[0028] In the puncture port 40, the distance D between the first partition 411 and the second partition 421 is set to be longer than the length HL of the opening portion 220 of the through-hole 215 formed in the needle tube portion 210 of the puncture device 200 to be inserted into the puncture port 40 (see FIG. 12). The relationship between the distance D and the length HL of the opening portion 220 will be described later.
[0029] Furthermore, the inner diameter of the first port member 41 and the inner diameter of the second port member 42 are configured to be larger than the outer diameter of the insertion portion of the puncture device. This makes it possible to reduce the contact area between the inner circumferential surface of the puncture port 40 and the outer circumferential surface of the insertion portion of the puncture device. This makes it possible to reduce the puncture resistance when the puncture device is inserted into the puncture port 40.
[0030] The puncture port accommodating section 50 is constituted by a portion of the sheet-like members 61, 62 constituting the liquid storage section 10 that extends toward the liquid lead-out section 30. The sheet-like members 61, 62 extend beyond the outer end (one end) of the first port member 41 of the puncture port 40 (port main body section 43). The extended portions of the sheet-like members 61, 62 are joined by welding to the periphery of the puncture port 40, i.e., the outer side of the portion spaced a predetermined distance from the puncture port 40, in a plan view, thereby forming the puncture port accommodating section 50 having the puncture port accommodating space 51 surrounded by the sheet-like members 61, 62. By forming this puncture port accommodating section 50, as described below, the sterility of the puncture port 40 can be maintained until the puncture port accommodating section 50 is opened (cut in the width direction X) and a puncture instrument such as a bottle needle is pierced and connected to the puncture port 40.
[0031] From the viewpoint of maintaining the strength of the liquid storage container 1 and of suitably opening the unsealable portion of the puncture port housing 50, it is preferable to use a flexible and elastic EVA resin (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin) as the sheet-like members 61, 62. Moreover, the thickness of the sheet-like members 61, 62 is preferably 0.2 mm to 0.7 mm, and more preferably 0.35 mm to 0.5 mm.
[0032] Furthermore, by constructing the sheet-like members 61, 62 and the puncture port 40 from the same material, the deformation characteristics of the two become similar when stored at low temperatures, such as by freezing, thereby improving the airtightness between the partitions in the puncture port 40 and the airtightness of the liquid storage space 11.
[0033] In the first embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the edge of the puncture port accommodating space 51 is formed in a curved shape without corners in the vicinity of the puncture port 40. By forming the edge of the puncture port accommodating space 51 in a curved shape with no corners near the puncture port 40, when the liquid storage container 1 is sterilized using ethylene oxide gas (EOG), it is possible to prevent force from being concentrated at one point on the edge of the puncture port accommodating space 51 when EOG has permeated the puncture port accommodating space 51 and the puncture port accommodating space 51 has expanded.
[0034] Next, a manufacturing method of the liquid storage container 1 of the first embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 4A to 5D. Figures 4A to 4D show exploded perspective views of the manufacturing process of the liquid storage container 1, and Figures 5A to 5D show schematic cross-sectional views of the manufacturing process of the puncture port 40.
[0035] 4A, the liquid introduction groove 211 and the recessed groove 31 corresponding to the shape of the liquid lead-out portion 30 are formed by three-dimensional molding in the sheet-like members 61 and 62. In the first embodiment, the sheet-like members 61 and 62 are each formed with a three-dimensional shape of the same shape.
[0036] Next, the second port member 42 is entirely inserted into the first port member 41 (insertion step, see FIG. 5A). Next, the welding pin 111 is inserted into the second port member 42, and in this state (see FIG. 5B), the first port member 41 with the second port member 42 inserted therein is placed in the groove 31 of one sheet-like member (sheet-like member 62), and then the other sheet-like member (sheet-like member 61) is superimposed so that the positions of the liquid introduction groove 211 and the groove 31 match (placement step, see FIG. 5C).
[0037] Incidentally, in the process of inserting the second port member 42 into the first port member 41 and inserting the welding pin 111 into the second port member 42, either one may be performed first. That is, in the arrangement process, it is sufficient that the first port member 41 and the second port member 42 are arranged in the groove 31 with the second port member 42 inserted into the first port member 41 and with the welding pin 111 arranged in the second port member 42.
[0038] Next, as shown in Fig. 4B, the overlapped sheet-like members 61, 62 and the first port member 41 and the second port member 42 disposed between the sheet-like members 61, 62 are sandwiched and welded by a welding pin 111 and a welding mold 110, 110 in and near the groove 31 (the welding pin 111 is not shown). The welding mold 110 is arranged so as to weld the outer circumferential surface of the second port member 42 to the inner circumferential surface of the first port member 41 that contacts it. As a result, the sheet-like members 61, 62 and the port main body 43 (the first port member 41 and the second port member 42) disposed between the sheet-like members 61, 62 are welded to each other in and near the groove 31 to form a welded portion 431 (see Figs. 4C and 5D). The welded portion 431 is formed at the end of the recessed groove 31 that becomes the liquid outlet portion 30 on the side where the liquid storage portion 10 is formed, that is, at the boundary portion between the liquid outlet portion 30 and the liquid storage portion 10.
[0039] Here, the boundary between the liquid outlet 30 and the liquid storage portion 10 includes the end of the groove 31 that becomes the liquid outlet 30 on the side where the liquid storage portion 10 is formed, and a position slightly (about 1 mm to 3 mm) shifted outward from this end. In other words, even if the formation position of the welded portion 431 is slightly shifted outward from the position on the extension of the outer edge of the liquid storage space 11 (the portion where the liquid outlet 30 is not disposed), the formation position of the welded portion 431 is included in the "boundary between the liquid outlet 30 and the liquid storage portion 10."
[0040] Next, as shown in FIG. 4C, the liquid introduction tube 22 with a pin (not shown) inserted therein is disposed in the portion of the sheet-like members 61, 62 where the liquid introduction groove 211 is formed.
[0041] 4D, in a state where the sheet-like members 61, 62 are overlapped so that the positions of the liquid introduction groove 211 and the recessed groove 31 are aligned, the peripheral portions of the sheet-like members 61, 62 that are outside the portions that form the liquid storage portion 10 are joined by welding to form the liquid storage portion 10 (liquid storage portion forming step), and the peripheral portion of the puncture port 40 is joined by welding to form the liquid lead-out portion 30 (liquid lead-out portion forming step), thereby forming the puncture port housing portion 50. In addition, the liquid introduction tube 22 is welded to the sheet-like members 61, 62 to form the liquid introduction path 21. Here, at the boundary portion of the liquid lead-out portion 30 with the liquid storage portion 10, the first port member 41, the second port member 42 and the sheet-like members 61, 62 are joined by the welded portion 431. At this time, a region R where high frequency welding (thermal welding) is not performed may be provided in a part of the portion outside the liquid storage portion 10.
[0042] This produces a liquid storage container 1 having a liquid storage section 10 and a puncture port accommodating section 50. Here, in the first embodiment, three-dimensional molding is not performed on the portions of sheet-like members 61, 62 corresponding to the liquid storage section 10 and the puncture port accommodating section 50, but since sheet-like members 61 and 62 are joined in a state in which puncture port 40 having a predetermined diameter (thickness) is sandwiched between them, liquid storage space 11 and puncture port accommodating space 51 having predetermined volumes are formed between sheet-like members 61 and 62.
[0043] The liquid storage container 1 is then subjected to an EOG sterilization process. In the EOG sterilization process, while the liquid storage container 1 is placed inside a sterilizer, EOG is introduced into the sterilizer at a predetermined pressure to sterilize the outer surface of the liquid storage container 1, and the EOG is also allowed to permeate the liquid storage space 11 and the puncture port storage space 51, thereby sterilizing the inside of the liquid storage section 10 and the inside of the puncture port storage section 50.
[0044] In the first embodiment, by forming the edge of the puncture port accommodating space 51 in a curved shape without corners near the puncture port 40, it is possible to suppress concentration of force at one point on the edge of the puncture port accommodating space 51 in a state in which EOG has permeated into the puncture port accommodating space 51 and the puncture port accommodating space 51 has expanded in the EOG sterilization process. This makes it possible to prevent the puncture port accommodating section 50 from being damaged in the EOG sterilization process.
[0045] The manufacturing method described above makes it possible to manufacture the puncture port 40 and liquid storage container 1 according to the first embodiment.
[0046] Next, a first modified example of the shape of the puncture port according to the first embodiment is shown in Figures 6A to 6D. The puncture port 40A (port main body 43A) shown in Figure 6 differs from the puncture port 40 of the first embodiment in the shapes of the first port member 41A and the second port member 42A. In this modified example, a part of the second port member 42A is inserted into the first port member 41A.
[0047] The first port member 41A is configured in a cylindrical shape with one end closed by a first partition wall 411 (see FIGS. 6A to 6D). The first port member 41A is also disposed so that the opening on the other end side faces the liquid storage portion 10.
[0048] The second port member 42A is configured in a cylindrical shape with one end closed by a second partition wall 421, and the outer diameter is formed to be approximately equal to the inner diameter of the first port member 41A. A pair of slits 413A and a protective portion 414A extending in the longitudinal direction of the second port member 42A are formed at the opening on the other end side of the second port member 42A. The second port member 42A is disposed so that the other end side where the slits are formed is located on the liquid storage portion 10 side. In other words, the second port member 42 is disposed so that the opening on the other end side faces the liquid storage portion 10 side, and the pair of slits 413A and the protective portion 414A protrude from the first port member 41A.
[0049] 6A, in the above-mentioned insertion step, a part of the second port member 42A (the end side where the second partition wall 421 is formed) is inserted into the first port member 41A. Then, a welding pin 111 is inserted into the second port member 42A, and the overlapping portions of the first port member 41A, the second port member 42A, and the recessed groove 31 (sheet-like members 61, 62) which become the liquid lead-out portion 30 are welded to form a welded portion 431A. In this manner, the puncture port 40A (port main body portion 43A) is formed by a single welding step, and the boundary portion with the liquid storage portion 10 is joined by the welded portion 431A.
[0050] Next, a second modified example of the shape of the puncture port according to the first embodiment is shown in Figures 7A to 7D. A puncture port 40B (port main body 43B) shown in Figure 7 differs from the puncture port 40 of the first embodiment in the shape of the second port member 42B. In this modified example, the second port member 42B has a small diameter portion 422 and a large diameter portion 423, and the small diameter portion 422, which is a part of the second port member 42B, is inserted into and positioned in the first port member 41B.
[0051] The first port member 41B is configured in a cylindrical shape with one end closed by a first partition wall 411 (see FIGS. 7A to 7D). The first port member 41B is also disposed so that the opening on the other end side faces the liquid storage portion 10.
[0052] The second port member 42B is configured in a cylindrical shape with one end closed by a second partition wall 421. The second port member 42B also has a small diameter portion 422 at one end whose outer diameter is approximately equal to the inner diameter of the first port member 41B, and a large diameter portion 423 at the other end whose diameter is approximately equal to the inner and outer diameters of the first port member 41B. A pair of slits 413B and a protective portion 414B extending in the longitudinal direction of the second port member 42B are formed at the opening on the other end side of the second port member 42B. The second port member 42B is disposed so that the other end side where the slits are formed is located on the liquid storage section 10 side. That is, the opening on the other end side is disposed so that it faces the liquid storage section 10 side.
[0053] 7A, in the above-mentioned insertion step, a part of second port member 42B (small diameter portion 422) is inserted into first port member 41B. During this insertion, the second port member 42B is inserted until the stepped portion between small diameter portion 422 and large diameter portion 423 abuts against the end face of the opening of first port member 41B, which facilitates alignment. 7B, the weld pin 111B is shaped to contact the inner wall of the second port member 42B, and is inserted into the second port member 42B. Then, the overlapping portions of the first port member 41B, the small diameter portion 422 of the second port member 42B, and the recessed groove 31 (sheet-like members 61, 62) that will become the liquid outlet portion 30 are welded to the overlapping portions of the second port member 42B and the recessed groove 31 (sheet-like members 61, 62) that will become the liquid outlet portion 30, to form a welded portion 431B. In this manner, the puncture port 40B (port main body portion 43B) is formed by a single welding step, and the boundary portion of the liquid discharge portion 30 with the liquid storage portion 10 is joined by the welded portion 431B.
[0054] Next, a method of using the liquid storage container 1 of the first embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS.
[0055] When storing liquid in the liquid storage container 1, liquid L is introduced into the liquid storage part 10 via the liquid introduction tube 22 by an instrument 100 such as a syringe, as shown in Fig. 8. After the liquid L is stored in the liquid storage part 10, the flow path of the liquid introduction tube 22 is closed by a tube clip 23, as shown in Fig. 9. Next, as shown in Fig. 10, the liquid introduction tube 22 is melted on the liquid storage part 10 side of the tube clip 23, thereby sealing the liquid storage container 1. The liquid storage container 1 is stored in this state.
[0056] When the liquid contained in the stored liquid storage container 1 is to be used, the Y-direction end of the puncture port housing 50 is cut in the width direction X with scissors or the like, as shown in Fig. 11. Then, due to the elasticity of the flexible sheet-like members 61, 62, the cut portion of the puncture port housing 50 opens in the thickness direction of the sheet-like members 61, 62. In this state, the tip of a puncture instrument 200 such as a bottle needle is inserted into the puncture port 40, and the liquid contained in the liquid storage portion 10 is collected.
[0057] The state when the puncture device 200 is inserted into the puncture port 40 will be described in detail with reference to Fig. 12. In this embodiment, a bottle needle is used as the puncture device 200. As shown in FIG. 12A, the puncture device 200 has a needle tube portion 210 to be inserted into the puncture port 40. The needle tube portion 210 has a through hole 215 penetrating in the length direction. The tip side of the needle tube portion 210 has a tapered surface with a predetermined inclination angle, and the needle tube portion 210 has an opening portion 220 of the through hole 215 opening in the tapered surface. The opening portion 220 of the through hole 215 in the needle tube portion 210 has a predetermined length HL in the puncture direction of the puncture device 200. The puncture port 40 has two partitions, a first partition 411 and a second partition 421, inside, and is configured so that the distance D between these two partitions is longer than the length HL of the opening portion 220.
[0058] Specifically, when a bottle needle is used as the puncture instrument 200, the length HL of the opening 220 of the through hole 215 of the bottle needle is set to 11.5 mm to 13.4 mm. Therefore, the distance D between the first partition 411 and the second partition 421 in the puncture port 40 is preferably set to 13.5 mm to 26 mm.
[0059] 12B shows a state in which puncture device 200 starts to be inserted into puncture port 40 from the state shown in Fig. 12A, and the tip of puncture device 200 is in the middle of penetrating first partition 411. In this state, the base end side of opening portion 220 of through-hole 215 is outside first partition 411, and the tip side is inside first partition 411 (between first partition 411 and second partition 421), so that the airtightness of the space between first partition 411 and second partition 421 is temporarily lost, but the airtightness on the liquid storage section 10 side of second partition 421 is maintained.
[0060] Fig. 12C shows a state in which puncture device 200 is further inserted from the state shown in Fig. 12B, so that opening portion 220 of through-hole 215 is between first partition 411 and second partition 421. In this state, the entire opening portion 220 of through-hole 215 is between first partition 411 and second partition 421, and the through portion of first partition 411 is blocked by puncture device 200, so that the space between first partition 411 and second partition 421 is again sealed.
[0061] Fig. 12D shows a state in which puncture instrument 200 is further inserted from the state shown in Fig. 12C, and its tip is in the middle of penetrating second partition 421. In this state, the base end side of opening 220 of through-hole 215 is between first partition 411 and second partition 421, and the tip side is on the inner side (liquid storage section 10 side) of second partition 421, so that the space between first partition 411 and second partition 421 communicates with liquid storage section 10, but the penetrating portion of first partition 411 is blocked by puncture instrument 200, so airtightness is maintained from first partition 411 to the inner side.
[0062] Figure 12E shows the state in which puncture device 200 is further inserted from the state shown in Figure 12D, with its tip penetrating second partition 421. In this state, the entire length of opening 220 of through-hole 215 is on the liquid storage portion 10 side rather than second partition 421, so that the liquid can be satisfactorily removed while maintaining the airtightness inside liquid storage portion 10.
[0063] (Comparative Example) Here, as a comparative example, a liquid storage container having a puncture port 40D in which the openings of the first port member 41D and the second port member 42D are arranged facing away from the liquid storage section 10 will be described with reference to Figures 14 and 15. In this comparative example, the first port member 41D has a pair of slits 413D and a protective portion 414D formed at the end on the liquid storage portion side, and also has a first partition wall 411 inside. In the comparative example, when the overlapping portions of the first port member 41D, the second port member 42D, and the sheet-like members 61, 62 are welded in a single welding process, a welded portion 431D is formed at a position of the recessed groove 31 (liquid outlet portion 30) away from the liquid storage portion 10 (see FIG. 14B). Therefore, when liquid is stored in the liquid storage container of the comparative example, the liquid stored in the liquid storage portion will enter the inside of the liquid outlet portion 30, making it difficult to remove the liquid from that portion using a puncture device (see FIG. 15).
[0064] In comparison with the comparative examples, the manufacturing method of the first embodiment of the present invention (including modifications 1 and 2) can form the puncture port 40 (40A, 40B) by welding the overlapping portions of the first port member 41 (41A, 41B), the second port member 42 (42A, 42B), and the sheet-like members 61, 62 in a single welding step, and can also form the welded portions 431 (431A, 431B) at the boundary portions of the recessed groove 31 (liquid outlet portion 30) with the liquid storage portion 10. Therefore, the liquid stored in the liquid storage portion 10 does not enter the liquid outlet portion 30, thereby reducing the occurrence of loss of the contents (see FIGS. 5D, 6D, 7D, 12, etc.).
[0065] The puncture port 40 and liquid storage container 1 of the first embodiment, modified example 1, and modified example 2 described above provide the following advantages.
[0066] (1) The liquid storage container 1 includes a liquid storage section 10, a liquid outlet section 30, a cylindrical port main body 43, and a first partition 411 and a second partition 421 provided on the port main body 43. The port main body 43 is joined to the liquid outlet section 30 at the boundary between the liquid storage section 10 and the liquid outlet section 30. Thus, by having two partitions, the first partition 411 and the second partition 421, leakage of the contents can be prevented when the puncture instrument 200 is inserted into the puncture port 40. Furthermore, by joining the port main body 43 and the liquid outlet section 30 at the boundary between the liquid storage section 10 and the liquid outlet section 30, it is possible to prevent liquid from entering the gap between the port main body 43 and the liquid outlet section 30, thereby reducing the occurrence of loss of the contents.
[0067] (2) The port main body 43 is configured to include a cylindrical first port member 41 having one end blocked by a first partition wall 411 and a cylindrical second port member 42 having one end blocked by a second partition wall 421. The first port member 41 and the second port member 42 are disposed in the liquid outlet portion 30 such that the openings on the other end sides of the first and second port members 41 and 42 face the liquid storage portion 10, and a part or all of the second port member 42 is disposed in the first port member 41 at the boundary between the liquid storage portion 10 and the liquid outlet portion 30. The first port member 41, the second port member 42, and the liquid outlet portion 30 are welded to the liquid storage portion 10 at the boundary. This allows the port main body 43 to be configured by two members, the first port member 41 and the second port member 42, and allows the port main body 43 to be formed and welded to the liquid outlet portion 30. This allows the port main body 43 to be formed at low cost.
[0068] (3) The second port member 42B is configured to include a small diameter portion 422 at one end, the outer diameter of which is approximately the same as the inner diameter of the first port member 41B, and a large diameter portion 423 at the other end, the outer diameter of which is the same as the outer diameter of the first port member 41B, and the second port member 42B is welded to the liquid outlet portion 30 via the first port member 41B at the small diameter portion 422, and is welded directly to the liquid outlet portion 30 at the large diameter portion 423. This makes it easy to align the second port member 42B with the first port member 41B, thereby obtaining a puncture port 40B that is highly airtight.
[0069] (4) The liquid storage section 10 is formed by welding the peripheral portions of a pair of sheet-like members 61, 62 arranged opposite each other, and the sheet-like members 61, 62, the first port member 41, and the second port member 42 are made of the same material. As a result, when the liquid storage container 1 is stored at low temperatures, such as by freezing, the deformation characteristics of the puncture port 40 and the sheet-like members 61, 62 become similar, so that the airtightness between the first partition wall 411 and the second partition wall 421 inside the puncture port 40 and the airtightness of the liquid storage space 11 can be improved.
[0070] (5) The puncture port 40 is set so that the distance D between the first partition 411 and the second partition 421 is at least longer than the length HL in the puncture direction of the opening 220 of the through hole 215 at the tip of the needle tube section 210 of the puncture instrument 200. As a result, when the tip of the opening 220 of the through hole 215 of the puncture instrument 200 starts to pierce the first partition 411, the base end of the opening 220 of the through hole 215 of the puncture instrument 200 is located between the first partition 411 and the second partition 421, so that leakage of liquid inside the liquid storage container 1 through the opening 220 of the through hole 215 of the puncture instrument 200 can be prevented. Therefore, the airtightness can be maintained in the state in which liquid is to be removed, even without fitting the puncture instrument 200 and the puncture port 40 together. Furthermore, by setting the distance D between the first partition 411 and the second partition 421 to match the puncture device 200 having the longest length HL of the opening portion 220 of the through hole 215, a highly versatile puncture port 40 can be provided that can be used regardless of the size (length) of the opening portion 220 of the through hole 215 of the puncture device 200. Moreover, first partition 411 ensures airtightness inside this first partition 411, thereby increasing the degree of freedom in setting the inner diameter of puncture port 40. That is, airtightness can be ensured without tight contact between the inner surface of puncture port 40 and the outer surface of puncture device 200, so that puncture port 40 can be set to a larger inner diameter to accommodate puncture devices 200 of various sizes (outer diameters). Furthermore, the contact area between the outer peripheral surface of puncture device 200 and the inner peripheral surface of puncture port 40 when puncture device 200 is inserted into puncture port 40 can be reduced, thereby reducing the puncture resistance when puncturing puncture device 200 into puncture port 40.
[0071] (6) The manufacturing method of the liquid storage container 1 includes an insertion step of inserting part or all of the second port member 42 into the first port member 41 with the opening on the other end side of the first port member 41 and the opening on the other end side of the second port member 42 facing the same direction; an arrangement step of arranging the first port member 41 and the second port member 42 between a set of sheet-like members 61, 62 that are stacked opposite each other; a welding step of welding the overlapping portions of the first port member 41, the second port member 42 and the set of sheet-like members 61, 62; and a liquid storage portion forming step of welding peripheral portions of the set of sheet-like members 61, 62 to form the liquid storage portion 10 on the opening sides of the first port member 41 and the second port member 42. In the liquid storage portion forming step, the set of sheet-like members 61, 62 are welded so as to include the portion welded in the welding step. This allows the formation of the puncture port 40 and welding at the boundary with the sheet-like members 61, 62 to be performed simultaneously, making it possible to manufacture the liquid storage container 1 with fewer steps than if the puncture port 40 was formed by welding and then welded to the sheet-like members 61, 62.
[0072] (7) The second port member 42B is configured to include a small diameter portion 422 located at one end and having an outer diameter substantially equal to the inner diameter of the first port member 41B, and a large diameter portion 423 located at the other end and having an outer diameter equal to the outer diameter of the first port member 41B, and in the insertion step, the small diameter portion 422 is inserted into the first port member 41B until the step between the small diameter portion 422 and the large diameter portion 423 hits the opening of the first port member 41B, and in the welding step, the second port member 42B is welded to the liquid outlet portion 30 via the first port member 41B at the small diameter portion 422, and is welded directly to the liquid outlet portion 30 at the large diameter portion 423. This makes it easy to perform alignment in the insertion step.
[0073] Second embodiment Next, a puncture port 40C provided in a liquid storage container according to a second embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 13A to 13F. The puncture port 40C (port main body 43C) according to the second embodiment differs from that of the first embodiment in that a first partition 411 is provided inside a first port member 41C, and in that the opening of a second port member 42C faces away from the liquid storage section 10.
[0074] 13A to 13F are schematic cross-sectional views showing manufacturing steps of the puncture port 40C.
[0075] 13A, the first port member 41C is configured in a cylindrical shape. If the side into which the puncture device 200 is inserted is defined as one end of the first port member 41C, a pair of slits 413C extending in the longitudinal direction of the first port member 41C is formed on the other end (the side where the liquid storage section 10 is formed). The first port member 41C has a first partition wall 411 that is disposed closer to the one end than the part where the slits 413C are formed and closes the cylindrical portion.
[0076] Next, the welding pin 111C1 is inserted into the first port member 41C and, in this state (see Figure 13B), the first port member 41C is placed in the groove 31 of one of the sheet-like members (sheet-like member 62), and then the other sheet-like member (sheet-like member 61) is superimposed so that the positions of the liquid introduction groove 211 and the groove 31 match (placement process, see Figure 13C).
[0077] Next, the overlapped sheet-like members 61, 62 and the first port member 41C disposed between the sheet-like members 61, 62 are sandwiched and welded by a welding pin 111C1 and a welding die (not shown) in and near the groove 31. This welding die is placed at the end of the groove 31 that becomes the liquid outlet portion 30, on the side where the liquid storage portion 10 is formed, and welds the outer circumferential surface of the first port member 41C to the inner circumferential surface of the groove 31 that contacts it. As a result, the sheet-like members 61, 62 and the first port member 41C disposed between the sheet-like members 61, 62 are welded to each other in and near the groove 31, forming a welded portion 431C1 (see FIG. 13D).
[0078] Next, the welding pin 111C1 is removed from the state shown in FIG. 13D, and the second port member 42C is entirely inserted into the first port member 41C (insertion step, see FIG. 13E).
[0079] Next, a welding pin 111C2 is inserted into the second port member 42C, and the overlapping sheet-like members 61, 62 and the first port member 41C and second port member 42C arranged between the sheet-like members 61, 62 are clamped and welded between the welding pin 111C2 and the welding dies 110, 110 at the groove 31 and its vicinity, to form a welded portion 431C2. In this way, the welded portion 431C1 and the welded portion 431C2 are formed by two welding steps, and the puncture port 40C (port main body portion 43C) is formed.
[0080] Next, as described in the first embodiment, the sheet-like members 61, 62 are overlapped so that the positions of the liquid introduction groove 211 and the recessed groove 31 coincide, and the outer peripheral portions of the sheet-like members 61, 62 that form the liquid storage portion 10 are joined by welding to form the liquid storage portion 10 (liquid storage portion formation process), and the peripheral portion of the puncture port 40 is joined by welding to form the liquid outlet portion 30 (liquid outlet portion formation process), thereby forming the puncture port accommodating portion 50. In this way, a liquid storage container equipped with the puncture port 40C is manufactured.
[0081] As described above in the second embodiment, if the puncture port 40C (port main body portion 43C) and the liquid extraction portion 30 are joined by welding or the like at the boundary portion of the liquid extraction portion 30 with the liquid storage portion 10, an effect similar to the effect (1) described above can be achieved.
[0082] Although preferred embodiments of the puncture port and liquid storage container of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments and can be modified as appropriate. For example, in the first embodiment, the first and second modified examples, and the second embodiment, two sheet-like members are used as an example of a set of sheet-like members to form the liquid storage portion, but this is not limiting. That is, a cylindrical sheet-like member or a single sheet-like member may be folded and overlapped to form a set of sheet-like members.
[0083] In the first embodiment, the first and second modifications, and the second embodiment, a pair of slits is formed on the liquid storage unit side of the puncture port, and a shape having a protective part is shown as an example, but this is not limited to this. The puncture port may have a shape that does not extend to the liquid storage unit side and does not have a protective part.
[0084] In each embodiment, the liquid outlet 30 is disposed at a position facing the position of the liquid introduction portion 20 in the liquid storage portion 10, but this is not limited thereto. The liquid outlet may be disposed at a position not facing the liquid introduction portion, for example, at a position at 90 degrees to the liquid introduction portion. Furthermore, a plurality of liquid outlets may be disposed.
[0085] In the second embodiment, the structure in which the entire second port member is inserted into the first port member is shown as an example, but the present invention is not limited to this. That is, similar to the second modification of the first embodiment, the second port member may be configured to have a small diameter portion and a large diameter portion, and a part of the second port member (the small diameter portion) may be inserted into the first port member and welded thereto.
[0086] In the first embodiment, the first and second variations, and the second embodiment, a manufacturing method has been described in which the port main body, which is composed of the first and second port members, and the recessed groove are formed by welding them together in one or two welding steps, but the present invention is not limited to this. That is, the scope of the present invention also includes a liquid storage container obtained by previously welding the first and second port members to form the port main body, and then welding the port main body and the recessed groove at the boundary with the liquid storage portion.
[0087] In the first embodiment, the shape of the liquid storage section is circular, but this is not limited thereto. That is, the shape of the liquid storage section may be a curved shape without corners, and may be circular or elliptical. In addition, when the liquid storage section is rectangular, it is preferable to round the corners. This makes it easier to remove air bubbles from within the liquid introduction section after introducing the liquid and before sealing the liquid introduction section.
[0088] In the first and second embodiments, the puncture port accommodation portion 50 and the liquid accommodation portion 10 are configured without forming a three-dimensional shape in the sheet-like members 61, 62, but this is not limited to the above. That is, the liquid accommodation portion 10 and the puncture port accommodation portion 50 may be configured by forming a three-dimensional shape in the sheet-like members 61, 62, respectively, and then overlapping and bonding the sheet-like members 61, 62 so that the positions of the three-dimensional shapes match.
[0089] Furthermore, in the first embodiment, the liquid storage container 1 is subjected to EOG sterilization, but this is not limiting. That is, the liquid storage container may be subjected to radiation sterilization using gamma rays, electron beams, or the like.
[0090] In each embodiment, a minute through hole may be formed in the first partition 411. This allows the space between the first partition and the second partition to be sterilized more efficiently when the liquid storage container is sterilized. [Explanation of symbols]
