[0018] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS A supply unit according to an embodiment of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
[0019] As shown in FIG. 1, the supply unit 1 of this embodiment is installed inside an intensive care unit (ICU) 3 of a hospital 2, which is a building, and supplies power to equipment used in the intensive care unit 3, such as a ventilator 4, a dialysis monitoring device 5, a syringe pump 6, and a monitor 7, and also supplies medical gases such as oxygen to equipment such as the ventilator 4 and to patients accommodated in beds 8 in the intensive care unit 3.
[0020] As shown in Figures 2, 3, 4 and 5, the supply unit 1 includes a unit body 10. The unit body 10 is formed into a columnar shape having an internal space 14 by combining a plurality of partition members 11-13. The unit body 10 has a height that is approximately the same as the height from the floor 3a to the ceiling 3b of the intensive care room 3, and is placed on the floor 3a.
[0021] In this embodiment, the unit body 10 is formed into a substantially triangular prism shape having an internal space 14 by combining three partition members 11 to 13: a left partition member 11, a right partition member 12, and a rear partition member 13.
[0022] 5 and 6, the left partition member 11 is configured to include a pair of frame portions 11a that extend vertically and are arranged parallel to each other with a gap therebetween, and a plate-like portion 11b that connects these frame portions 11a. In this embodiment, the left partition member 11 is configured as a so-called steel partition, in which the frame portion 11a is made of a steel pipe material with a rectangular cross section, and the plate-like portion 11b is made of rectangular steel with a plaster board sandwiched inside.
[0023] 5 and 7, the right-side partition member 12 also has a pair of frame portions 12a that extend in the vertical direction and are arranged parallel to each other with a gap between them, and a plate-like portion 12b that connects these frame portions 12a. In this embodiment, the right-side partition member 12 is also configured as a so-called steel partition, in which the frame portions 12a are made of steel pipe material with a rectangular cross section, and the plate-like portion 12b is made of rectangular steel with a gypsum board sandwiched inside.
[0024] 5 and 8, the partition member 13 on the rear side is also configured to include a pair of frame portions 13a that extend in the vertical direction and are arranged parallel to each other with a gap therebetween, and a plate-like portion 13b that connects these frame portions 13a. In this embodiment, the partition member 13 on the rear side is also configured as a so-called steel partition, in which the frame portions 13a are made of steel pipe material with a rectangular cross section, and the plate-like portion 13b is made of rectangular steel with a plaster board sandwiched inside.
[0025] As shown in Fig. 5, the left-side partition member 11 and the right-side partition member 12 are connected to each other by a front-side connecting member 15. More specifically, the front-side connecting member 15 is a hollow column having an arc-shaped outer surface 15a that smoothly connects to the plate-shaped portion 11b of the left-side partition member 11 and the plate-shaped portion 12b of the right-side partition member 12. The left-side partition member 11 and the right-side partition member 12 are disposed in a mutually orthogonal orientation, and one frame portion 11a of the left-side partition member 11 and one frame portion 12a of the right-side partition member 12 are fixed to the front-side connecting member 15 with screws, thereby connecting each other.
[0026] The left-side partition member 11 and the rear-side partition member 13 are connected to each other by a left-side connecting member 16. More specifically, the left-side connecting member 16 is hollow and columnar, having a left side surface 16a perpendicular to the outer surface of the plate-shaped portion 13b of the rear-side partition member 13. The left-side partition member 11 is disposed at an acute angle to the rear-side partition member 13, and the other frame portion 11a of the left-side partition member 11 and one frame portion 13a of the rear-side partition member 13 are connected to each other by being fixed to the left-side connecting member 16 with screws.
[0027] Similarly, the right-side partition member 12 and the rear-side partition member 13 are connected to each other by a right-side connecting member 17. More specifically, the right-side connecting member 17 is hollow and columnar, having a right side surface 17a perpendicular to the outer surface of the plate-shaped portion 13b of the rear-side partition member 13. The right-side partition member 12 is disposed at an acute angle to the rear-side partition member 13, and the other frame portion 12a of the right-side partition member 12 and the other frame portion 13a of the rear-side partition member 13 are connected to each other by being fixed to the right-side connecting member 17 with screws.
[0028] The front connecting member 15, the left connecting member 16 and the right connecting member 17 can each be formed by bending a steel plate material.
[0029] The unit body 10 configured as a pillar in the above manner is placed on the floor 3a of the intensive care room 3. A ceiling rail 20 is fixed to the underside of the ceiling 3b of the intensive care room 3, and the upper end of the unit body 10 is supported by the ceiling rail 20 on the ceiling 3b.
[0030] 9, the ceiling rail 20, which may be made of steel, may be integrally configured to include a base portion 21 disposed on the underside of the ceiling 3b, a left rail portion 22 into which the upper end of the frame portion 11a of the left partition member 11 is fitted, a right rail portion 23 into which the upper end of the frame portion 12a of the right partition member 12 is fitted, and a rear rail portion 24 into which the upper end of the frame portion 13a of the rear partition member 13 is fitted. The ceiling rail 20 can be easily fixed to the underside of the ceiling 3b of the intensive care room 3 using screws.
[0031] The supply unit 1 can also be configured to have a floor-side rail 30. The floor-side rail 30 is fixed onto the floor 3a of the intensive care room 3, and the lower end of the unit body 10 is engaged with the floor 3a.
[0032] 10, the floor-side rail 30, which may be made of steel, may be configured to integrally include a base portion 31 to be placed on the floor 3a, a left-side rail portion 32 into which the lower end of the frame portion 11a of the left-side partition member 11 is fitted, a right-side rail portion 33 into which the lower end of the frame portion 12a of the right-side partition member 12 is fitted, and a rear-side rail portion 34 into which the lower end of the frame portion 13a of the rear-side partition member 13 is fitted. The floor-side rail 30 can be easily fixed to the floor 3a of the intensive care unit 3 using anchors.
[0033] A supply unit 1 configured in this manner can be assembled and installed in an intensive care room 3, for example, by the simple process of fixing the floor side rail 30 to the floor 3a and the ceiling side rail 20 to the ceiling 3b, sequentially slidingly engaging the corresponding partition members 11-13 with the left side rail portion 32, right side rail portion 33, and rear side rail portion 34 of the floor side rail 30 and the left side rail portion 22, right side rail portion 23, and rear side rail portion 24 of the ceiling side rail 20, and then connecting these partition members 11-13 to each other using the front side connecting member 15, left side connecting member 16, and right side connecting member 17.
[0034] A supply port is provided on the outer surface of the unit body 10. A plurality of supply ports may be provided on the outer surface of the unit body 10. In this case, a plurality of supply ports of the same type may be provided on the outer surface of the unit body 10, or one or a plurality of supply ports of different types may be provided on the outer surface of the unit body 10.
[0035] 2 and 6, in this embodiment, the plate-like portion 11b of the left partition member 11 constituting the unit body 10 is provided with, as supply ports, three medical gas connection ports 40 spaced apart in the vertical direction, a LAN connector 41 disposed below the medical gas connection port 40, a TV terminal 42 disposed below the LAN connector 41, and two electric outlets 43 disposed above the medical gas connection port 40 and spaced apart in the vertical direction. Each of these supply ports is fitted into an opening provided in the plate-like portion 11b and is exposed to the outer surface of the plate-like portion 11b as well as to the internal space 14.
[0036] 3 and 7, the plate-like portion 12b of the right-side partition member 12 constituting the unit body 10 is provided with the following supply ports: three medical gas connection ports 40 spaced apart in the vertical direction, three electric outlets 43 spaced apart in the vertical direction below the medical gas connection ports 40, an earth terminal 44 located below the electric outlets 43, and two electric outlets 43 spaced apart in the vertical direction above the medical gas connection ports 40. These supply ports are fitted into openings provided in the plate-like portion 12b and are exposed to the outer surface of the plate-like portion 12b as well as to the internal space 14.
[0037] 4 and 8, in this embodiment, six electric outlets 43 are arranged in two rows of three at intervals in the vertical direction as supply ports on the plate-like portion 13b of the partition member 13 on the rear side constituting the unit body 10. Each of these supply ports is fitted into an opening hole provided in the plate-like portion 13b and is exposed to the outer surface of the plate-like portion 13b as well as to the internal space 14.
[0038] Each medical gas connection port 40, on the side exposed to the internal space 14, is connected to medical gas supply piping 40a as a supply line that passes from the ceiling 3b through the internal space 14, and medical gas is supplied from a gas supply tank filled with medical gas through the medical gas supply piping 40a. The medical gas supplied to the medical gas connection port 40 may be, for example, oxygen, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, etc., but may also be other gases. The medical gas connection port 40 may be configured with a connection valve that opens when a hose or the like is connected.
[0039] The LAN connector 41 is connected on the side exposed to the internal space 14 to a LAN cable 41a as a supply line passing from the ceiling 3b through the internal space 14, and is connected to a LAN (local area network) through the LAN cable 41a. Therefore, by connecting a device such as a personal computer to the LAN connector 41, the device can be connected to the LAN.
[0040] The side of the TV terminal 42 exposed to the internal space 14 is connected to a TV antenna line 42a serving as a supply line that runs from the ceiling 3b to the internal space 14. Therefore, by connecting the monitor 7 to the TV terminal 42, it is possible to watch television on the monitor 7.
[0041] Each electrical outlet 43 is connected on the side exposed to the internal space 14 to electrical wiring 43a as a supply line that passes from the ceiling 3b to the internal space 14. The electrical wiring 43a is connected to a commercial power source through the ceiling. Therefore, by connecting devices such as the artificial ventilator 4, the dialysis monitoring device 5, the syringe pump 6, and the monitor 7 to the electrical outlet 43, power can be supplied to the devices.
[0042] The side of the earth terminal 44 exposed to the internal space 14 is grounded by an earth wire 44a that passes from the ceiling 3b through the internal space 14.
[0043] In this way, the supply unit 1 of this embodiment is configured with a plurality of various supply ports 40-44 provided on the outer surface of the unit body 10, so that it can adequately supply electricity, medical gas, and the like to a plurality of devices used in the intensive care unit 3. Furthermore, the supply lines 40a-44a that supply electricity, gas, and the like to each of the supply ports 40-44 are stored in the internal space 14 of the unit body 10, so even if the unit body 10 is configured with a large number of supply ports 40-44, the supply lines 40a-44a connected to these supply ports 40-44 do not get in the way.
[0044] As long as at least one of the medical gas connection port 40, LAN connector 41, TV terminal 42, electrical outlet 43 and earth terminal 44 is provided, the locations and numbers of each can be appropriately changed.
[0045] As described above, in the supply unit 1 of the present embodiment, the unit body 10 arranged on the floor 3a of the hospital 2, which is a building, is formed into a columnar shape having an internal space 14 by combining a plurality of partition members 11-13, and is configured to have supply ports such as a medical gas connection port 40, a LAN connector 41, a TV terminal 42, an electric outlet 43, and a ground terminal 44 on the outer surface, and the upper end of the unit body 10 is supported on the ceiling 3b by a ceiling side rail 20 fixed to the underside of the ceiling 3b, so that the unit body 10 can be supported on the ceiling 3b with a simple configuration combining a plurality of partition members 11-13 and a simple configuration using the ceiling side rail 20. Therefore, when installing the unit body 10, it is not necessary to provide a stand on the beam of the building inside the ceiling 3b, and the supply unit 1 can be installed in the room of the building in a short period of time at low cost.
[0046] Furthermore, in the supply unit 1 of this embodiment, the unit body 10 is configured to include at least one of the electrical outlet 43, the medical gas connection port 40, and the LAN connector 41 as a supply port, making the supply unit 1 suitable for installation in a treatment room of a hospital 2, such as an intensive care unit (ICU) 3, a high care unit (HCU), or a stroke care unit (SCU). As a result, the supply unit 1 of this embodiment can be installed in a treatment room in a short period of time and at low cost, while having the same supply capacity as conventional supply units manufactured by medical device manufacturers.
[0047] Furthermore, in the supply unit 1 of this embodiment, the unit body 10 is made to be approximately triangular prism-shaped by combining three partition members 11 to 13, so that there is sufficient space on the outer surface of the unit body 10 to provide multiple supply ports such as a medical gas connection port 40, a LAN connector 41, a TV terminal 42, an electrical outlet 43, and an earth terminal 44, while the cross-sectional area perpendicular to the up-down direction of the unit body 10 is reduced, thereby improving the layout flexibility of the supply unit 1 within the interior of a building.
[0048] In particular, the substantially triangular prism-shaped supply unit 1 of this embodiment is preferably placed near the longitudinal end (bedside) of a bed 8 in an intensive care unit 3, with the partition member 13 on the back side perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the bed 8, as shown in Fig. 1. With this placement, the supply unit 1 is placed near the bed 8 to facilitate connection of the supply port to devices placed around the bed 8, while the left partition member 11 is inclined relative to the bed 8 to create space between the supply unit 1 and the bed 8, facilitating the work of medical staff and the handling of electrical cords and hoses connected to the electrical outlet 43 and medical gas connection port 40, which are the supply ports.
[0049] Furthermore, in the supply unit 1 of this embodiment, the partition members 11-13 are equipped with a pair of frame portions 11a, 12a, 13a that extend in the vertical direction and are arranged parallel to each other with a gap between them, and plate-shaped portions 11b, 12b, 13b that connect the pair of frame portions 11a, 12a, 13a. Therefore, the partition members 11-13 can be of simple construction like steel partitions used as building materials, and the supply unit 1 can be installed indoors in a building in a shorter period of time and at lower cost.
[0050] Furthermore, in the supply unit 1 of this embodiment, a floor side rail 30 is fixed to the upper surface of the floor 3a of the building, and the lower end of the unit main body 10 is engaged by the floor side rail 30, so that the unit main body 10 can be easily fixed to the floor 3a of the building, and the supply unit 1 can be installed indoors in an even shorter period of time and at even lower cost.
[0051] The unit body 10 can be configured to include a mounting rail 50 on which an auxiliary member can be mounted so that its position can be adjusted in the vertical direction.
[0052] In this embodiment, as shown in Figures 2, 3 and 4, mounting rails 50 are fixed to the left side surface 16a of the left connecting member 16 of the unit body 10 and to the right side surface 17a of the right connecting member 17, respectively, and a monitor 7 is attached as an auxiliary member to the mounting rail 50 fixed to the right side surface 17a of the right connecting member 17. The monitor 7 is supported by an arm member 52 connected to a slider 51 that is movable up and down along the mounting rail 50, and the slider 51 moves up and down along the mounting rail 50, allowing the position to be adjusted up and down. The slider 51 is configured to be fixed to a desired up and down position on the mounting rail 50 by a means. In this embodiment, the mounting rails 50 are attached to the left connecting member 16 and the right connecting member 17, rather than to the plate-like portions 11b-13b of the partition members 11-13. This makes it possible to use standard partition members 11-13 with thin plate-like portions 11b-13b, thereby reducing the cost of the supply unit 1.
[0053] The mounting rail 50 is not limited to being provided on the left side surface 16a of the left connecting member 16 and the right side surface 17a of the right connecting member 17, but may be provided on other portions of the unit body 10, such as the plate-like portions 11b-13b of the partition members 11-13. In addition, the auxiliary member attached to the mounting rail 50 is not limited to the monitor 7, but may be other members, such as a table for placing equipment, a storage case, etc.
[0054] In this way, in the supply unit 1 of this embodiment, the unit body 10 is configured with an attachment rail 50 to which auxiliary members can be attached so that their position can be adjusted in the vertical direction, making it possible to provide various auxiliary members to the supply unit 1, thereby increasing the convenience of the supply unit 1.
[0055] As shown in FIG. 5, the partition members 11 and 12 can be configured to include a reinforcing member 60 between a pair of frame portions 11a and 12a. In particular, when the mounting rail 50 is provided on the plate-shaped portions 11b and 12b of the partition members 11 and 12, it is preferable to provide the reinforcing member 60 at the plate-shaped portions 11b and 12b to reinforce the plate-shaped portions 11b and 12b. The reinforcing member 60 can be configured to include a portion that is overlapped on the plate-shaped portions 11b and 12b and a rib-shaped portion (flange-shaped portion) that rises vertically from the portion by bending a steel plate material, for example. By providing the reinforcing member 60 between the pair of frame portions 11a and 12a, the rigidity of the partition members 11 and 12 can be increased, and even if an auxiliary member is attached to the mounting rail 50, the unit body 10 can be prevented from being deformed or the like.
[0056] The partition members 11 to 13 can be configured to include a lid 70 that can open the internal space 14 to the outside.
[0057] In this embodiment, as shown in Figs. 4 and 8, the lid 70 is configured as a separate lid 70a and lid 70b, respectively, at the vertical middle portion and upper portion of the plate-like portion 13b of the partition member 13 on the rear side. The lid 70a is fixed to the frame portion 13a of the partition member 13 on the rear side by four screws 71 provided at the four corners, and can be removed from the frame portion 13a of the partition member 13 on the rear side by loosening these screws 71. When the lid 70a is removed, the vertical middle portion of the partition member 13 on the rear side opens, and the internal space 14 of the unit body 10 is opened to the outside. Similarly, the lid 70b is fixed to the frame portion 13a of the partition member 13 on the rear side by four screws 71 provided at the four corners, and can be removed from the frame portion 13a of the partition member 13 on the rear side separately from the lid 70a by loosening these screws 71. When the lid body 70b is removed, the upper part of the partition member 13 on the rear side opens, and the internal space 14 of the unit body 10 is opened to the outside. Therefore, if a malfunction occurs in the connection part between the supply port and the supply line in the internal space 14, the malfunction can be corrected or repaired by inserting hands, tools, etc. into the internal space 14 from the opening created by removing the lid body 70a or 70b. In addition, the work of adding additional supply ports such as the medical gas connection port 40, LAN connector 41, TV terminal 42, electrical outlet 43, and earth terminal 44 can be performed by inserting hands, tools, parts, etc. into the internal space 14 from the opening created by removing the lid body 70a or 70b.
[0058] In this embodiment, the lid body 70 is configured to be divided into two lid bodies 70a and 70b, which makes it possible to provide a large opening in the partition member 13 on the rear side, while also allowing the lid bodies 70a and 70b to be securely fixed to the frame portion 13a without causing any rattling.
[0059] The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and it goes without saying that various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
[0060] For example, in the above embodiment, the unit body 10 is formed into a roughly triangular prism shape having an internal space 14 by combining three partition members 11 to 13, but this is not limited to the above. As long as a plurality of partition members are combined to form a prism shape having an internal space, the number of partition members, the cross-sectional shape of the unit body 10, etc. can be changed in various ways, for example, by combining two partition members so that their frame portions are butted against each other and overlapping each other to form an internal space 14 between their respective plate-shaped portions, or by combining four or more partition members into a polygonal shape.
[0061] In addition, in this embodiment, the supply unit 1 is installed in an intensive care unit 3 of a hospital 2, but this is not limited to this, and the supply unit 1 may be placed indoors in various buildings such as schools, office buildings, factories, etc. [Explanation of symbols]
