Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a cover structure. [Background technology]
[0002] A lamp cover that covers the periphery of a headlamp unit is attached to a saddle-type vehicle (see, for example, Patent Document 1). An attachment portion protrudes from the inner surface of the lamp cover described in Patent Document 1, and a bracket is attached to an attachment hole of this attachment portion via a bolt. A base plate is provided on the rear surface of the headlamp unit, and a bracket is attached to an attachment hole of the base plate via a bolt. By connecting the rear surface of the lamp cover and the inner surface of the headlamp via the bracket, the bolts are prevented from being exposed to the outside, improving the appearance. [0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2007-42605 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] In some cases, the width of the lamp cover is narrowed to give a bold impression, but the wind blows against the occupants more strongly as it passes by the sides of the lamp cover. On the other hand, if the width of the lamp cover is widened, the bold impression is not obtained and the appearance is deteriorated.
[0005] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above points, and has an object to provide a cover structure that can reduce the impact of wind on occupants while traveling, without compromising the appearance. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] A cover structure according to one aspect of the present invention is a cover structure for a front portion of a vehicle for a saddle-type vehicle provided with a headlamp unit, the cover structure comprising: a lamp cover attached to a periphery of the headlamp unit; and a side cover disposed rearward and outwardly of the lamp cover in the left-right direction, the outer surface of the lamp cover being inclined outwardly in the left-right direction toward the outer surface of the side cover. A first guide surface that guides the traveling wind rearward is formed at the middle of the height direction of the outer surface of the lamp cover, and a second guide surface that guides the traveling wind obliquely upward toward the rear is formed on the lower side of the outer surface of the lamp cover. An inclined surface is formed on the outer surface of the side cover that inclines outward in the left-right direction from the front to the rear and inward in the left-right direction from the top to the bottom, and the traveling wind flowing along the first guide surface joins with the traveling wind flowing along the second guide surface, and the traveling wind is guided from the first guide surface to the side cover. This solves the above problem. Effect of the Invention
[0007] According to a cover structure of one aspect of the present invention, a side cover is disposed rearward and outward in the left-right direction from the lamp cover, and the outer surface of the lamp cover is inclined toward the outer surface of the side cover. The traveling wind from the front is guided from the outer surface of the lamp cover to the outer surface of the side cover, and the traveling wind is diffused outward in the left-right direction by the outer surface of the side cover in front of the occupant. Since the flow of the traveling wind is directed outward in the left-right direction not only by the outer surface of the lamp cover but also by the outer surface of the lamp cover and the outer surface of the side cover, there is no need to make the lamp cover large in left-right width for wind protection. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the impact of the traveling wind on the occupant without impairing the appearance. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0009] A cover structure according to one aspect of the present invention is provided at the front of a saddle-type vehicle equipped with a vehicle headlamp unit. In the cover structure, a lamp cover is attached around the headlamp unit, and a side cover is disposed behind the lamp cover and on the outside in the left-right direction. The outer surface of the lamp cover is inclined outward in the left-right direction toward the outer surface of the side cover, and the traveling wind from the front is guided from the outer surface of the lamp cover to the outer surface of the side cover, and the traveling wind is diffused outward in the left-right direction by the outer surface of the side cover in front of the occupant. Since the flow of the traveling wind is directed outward in the left-right direction not only by the outer surface of the lamp cover but also by the outer surface of the lamp cover and the outer surface of the side cover, it is not necessary to form the lamp cover with a large left-right width for wind protection. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the impact of the traveling wind on the occupant without impairing the appearance. EXAMPLES
[0010] A saddle-type vehicle to which the cover structure of this embodiment is applied will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the front part of the saddle-type vehicle of this embodiment. In the following drawings, the arrow FR indicates the front of the vehicle, the arrow RE indicates the rear of the vehicle, the arrow L indicates the left side of the vehicle, and the arrow R indicates the right side of the vehicle.
[0011] As shown in Fig. 1, the saddle-type vehicle 1 is configured by mounting various parts such as an engine 16 and an electrical system on a twin-spar body frame 10 formed by aluminum casting. The body frame 10 has a pair of main frames 12 that branch off to the left and right from a head pipe 11 and extend rearward, and a pair of down frames 13 that branch off to the left and right from the head pipe 11 and extend downward. A rear portion of the engine 16 is supported by the pair of main frames 12, and a front portion of the engine 16 is supported by the pair of down frames 13. Supporting the engine 16 on the body frame 10 ensures the rigidity of the entire vehicle.
[0012] The front portion of the main frame 12 forms a tank rail, and a fuel tank 17 is disposed on the tank rail. The rear portion of the main frame 12 forms a body frame, and a seat rail 14 and a back stay 15 extend rearward from the upper portion of the body frame. A rider seat 18 is disposed on the seat rail 14. A pair of front forks 21 are supported on the head pipe 11 via a steering shaft (not shown) so as to be steerable. A front wheel 22 is rotatably supported on the lower portion of the front fork 21, and the upper portion of the front wheel 22 is covered by a front fender 23.
[0013] A radiator 24 is disposed below the head pipe 11 and in front of the cylinder head of the engine 16. The radiator 24 is provided with a radiator core having a large number of thin tubes or heat dissipation fins. Heat is exchanged between the refrigerant flowing through the radiator core and the running wind blown against the radiator core. A headlamp unit 25 is also provided at the front of the saddle-type vehicle 1. A lamp cover 70 is attached around the headlamp unit 25, and a pair of body covers (side covers) 30 are attached behind the lamp cover 70 to cover the radiator 24 from the left and right sides.
[0014] Incidentally, if the lamp cover 70 has a narrow lateral width, the front of the vehicle will have a bold appearance, but the traveling wind will easily flow from the side of the lamp cover 70 toward the occupant. For this reason, a cover structure is required that can reduce the blowing of the traveling wind against the occupant while suppressing an increase in the lateral width of the lamp cover 70. The cover structure of this embodiment diffuses the flow of the traveling wind outward in the lateral direction by the outer surface of the lamp cover 70, which has a narrow lateral width, and the outer surface of the body cover 30 arranged on the lateral outer side of the lamp cover 70, thereby reducing the blowing of the traveling wind against the occupant without impairing the appearance.
[0015] The detailed configuration of the cover structure will be described below with reference to Fig. 2 to Fig. 4. Fig. 2 is a left side view of the front part of the vehicle of this embodiment. Fig. 3 is a left side view of the front part of the vehicle of this embodiment with a part of the body cover removed. Fig. 4 is a front view of the front part of the vehicle of this embodiment.
[0016] 2 to 4, the body cover 30 is disposed behind and outside the lamp cover 70 in the left-right direction, and together with the lamp cover 70, forms the exterior of the front part of the vehicle of the saddle-ride type vehicle 1. The body cover 30 has a base body cover 31 fixed to the front part of the vehicle frame 10, an upper body cover 61 and an outer body cover 51 on the outside of the base body cover 31, and an inner body cover 66 on the inside of the base body cover 31. The outer body cover 51 is disposed from the middle to the lower part of the outer surface of the base body cover 31, and the upper body cover 61 is disposed on the upper part of the outer surface of the base body cover 31.
[0017] The base body cover 31 laterally covers the body frame 10 (main frame 12) above the front wheels 22 and laterally covers the radiator 24 behind the front wheels 22. The base body cover 31 has an upper half 32 with a narrow left-right width and a lower half 33 with a wide left-right width. The lower side of the outer surface of the base body cover 31 protrudes outward in the left-right direction further down than the upper side, i.e., the outer surface of the lower half 33 protrudes outward in the left-right direction further than the outer surface of the upper half 32, forming a step surface 34 (see FIG. 4 in particular). The step surface 34 extends obliquely upward from the front edge of the base body cover 31 toward the rear, and the base body cover 31 is divided into the upper half 32 and the lower half 33 at the step surface 34.
[0018] The front edge of the step surface 34 is located above the upper end of the front wheel 22. The step surface 34 is partially cut out at a middle position in the extending direction to form a vertical groove 35. The vertical groove 35 extends toward an opening 36 of the lower half 33, which will be described later. The step surface 34 is divided into a front half and a rear half with the vertical groove 35 in between, and a long hole 37 is formed along the step surface 34 above the front half of the step surface 34, and a protrusion 38 is formed along the step surface 34 above the rear half of the step surface 34. A plate-shaped portion 52 of an outer body cover 51, which will be described later, is attached to the long hole 37, and the upper surface of the protrusion 38 is formed to be continuous with the upper surface of the plate-shaped portion 52.
[0019] An opening 36 that is triangular in side view is formed in the lower half 33 of the base body cover 31 below the step surface 34. The opening 36 connects the inside and outside of the base body cover 31 to the side of the radiator 24 and in front of the main frame 12. The traveling wind is guided to the opening 36 through the vertical groove 35 and taken into the inside of the base body cover 31. The front edge of the opening 36 is located laterally inside the rear edge, and a wall surface (not shown) with a large left-right width is formed at the rear edge of the opening 36. The traveling wind from the front hits the wall surface at the rear edge of the opening 36, so that the traveling wind is taken into the inside of the base body cover 31 from the opening 36.
[0020] In front view, the lower front surface 41 is formed by extending above the lower side of the step surface 34 of the base body cover 31, i.e., the front surface of the lower half 33, outward in the left-right direction more than the front surface of the upper half 32. The lower front surface 41 is formed by a front portion facing forward and a slope portion facing diagonally forward. The lower front surface 41 is recessed below the step surface 34, and the lower front surface 41 protrudes forward from the recess 42 toward the front edge of the step surface 34 (see FIG. 3 in particular). Because the slope from the lower front surface 41 toward the step surface 34 is steep, even if the muddy water received on the lower front surface 41 is blown by wind from traveling, the muddy water is unlikely to climb over the front edge of the step surface 34.
[0021] In addition, the lower outer surface 43 of the base body cover 31 below the step surface 34 protrudes outward in the left-right direction toward the side edge of the step surface 34 (see FIG. 4 in particular). Even if the wind during running blows onto muddy water adhering to the lower outer surface 43, the muddy water is less likely to climb over the side edge of the step surface 34. In the front portion of the base body cover 31, the front edge and side edge of the step surface 34 protrude outward, making it less likely for muddy water to flow above the step surface 34, thereby preventing the muddy water from adhering to the occupant. In a side view, the lower half 33 of the base body cover 31 partially overlaps the rear of the front wheel 22. A shielding plate 44 (see FIG. 8) protrudes from the inner surface of the lower half 33 toward the main frame 12.
[0022] Above the long holes 37 and the protruding portions 38 of the base body cover 31, the outer surface of the upper half 32 bulges outward in the left-right direction to form a bulge 45. The bulge 45 extends obliquely upward from the front edge of the base body cover 31 toward the rear, and a plurality of openings are formed in the bulge 45. At the upper edge of the upper half 32, the outer surface of the upper half 32 is recessed inward in the left-right direction to form a horizontal groove 46 along the bulge 45. An upper body cover 61 is attached to the outer surface of the bulge 45. The upper body cover 61 diffuses the traveling wind outward in the left-right direction behind the lamp cover 70.
[0023] The upper body cover 61 extends obliquely upward and rearward from the front edge of the base body cover 31. The upper end of the upper body cover 61 is located above the upper end of an outer lamp cover 73, which will be described later, and the lower end of the upper body cover 61 is located below the lower end of the outer lamp cover 73. An inclined surface 62 is formed on the outer side of the upper body cover 61, which is inclined outward in the left-right direction from the front to the rear and inward in the left-right direction from the top to the bottom (see FIG. 4 in particular). The wind flows diagonally downward and rearward along the inclined surface 62, making it difficult for the wind to flow toward the occupant.
[0024] The outer body cover 51 is attached to the outside of the base body cover 31 below the upper body cover 61. The outer body cover 51 is formed with a eaves-shaped plate-like portion 52 that covers the step surface 34 of the base body cover 31 from above, and a rear cover portion 54 that is connected to the rear of the plate-like portion 52 via a connecting portion 53. The plate-like portion 52 is attached to the long hole 37 of the base body cover 31, and extends in the front-rear direction above the step surface 34. The front edge of the plate-like portion 52 is located forward of the front edge of the step surface 34, and muddy water splashed up onto the front wheel 22 is received over a wide area by the eaves-shaped plate-like portion 52.
[0025] The plate-shaped portion 52 is inclined downward from the outer surface of the base body cover 31 toward the outside in the left-right direction, and a return portion 55 bent downward is formed on the outer side edge of the plate-shaped portion 52 in the left-right direction. A gap is provided between the inner surface of the return portion 55 and the outer side edge of the step surface 34 in the left-right direction, and the return portion 55 extends below the side edge of the step surface 34 (see FIG. 4 in particular). Muddy water received by the plate-shaped portion 52 easily flows down from the return portion 55 to below the step surface 34, and muddy water is less likely to flow above the plate-shaped portion 52, so that adhesion of muddy water to the occupant is suppressed. Although the return portion 55 is formed in the front half of the plate-shaped portion 52, the return portion 55 may be formed over the entire plate-shaped portion 52 along the longitudinal direction.
[0026] A passage for the traveling wind is formed by the step surface 34 and the eaves-shaped plate-like portion 52. An inlet for the traveling wind is formed by the front edge of the step surface 34 and the front edge of the plate-like portion 52, and the traveling wind from the front enters the inlet for the traveling wind. As described above, a gap is formed between the inner surface of the return portion 55 and the step surface 34, and the traveling wind also enters the gap. The traveling wind is rectified inside the plate-like portion 52, and the traveling resistance caused by the traveling wind is reduced. In this way, the step surface 34 and the plate-like portion 52 not only receive the muddy water splashed up from the front wheel 22, but also form a passage for the traveling wind in the body cover 30 that can reduce the traveling resistance.
[0027] The rear of the plate-shaped portion 52 is located above the vertical groove 35, and a connecting portion 53 is provided at the rear of the plate-shaped portion 52. The inner wall surface (not shown) of the connecting portion 53 guides the traveling wind passing inside the plate-shaped portion 52 to the vertical groove 35. A rear cover portion 54 is provided at the bottom of the connecting portion 53. The rear cover portion 54 extends in the front-rear and up-down directions to cover the outside of the base body cover 31. As a result of a portion of the rear cover portion 54 overlapping the vertical groove 35 and the opening 36 in a side view, the traveling wind is guided from the vertical groove 35 to the opening 36, and the traveling wind is efficiently taken into the inside of the base body cover 31.
[0028] The inner body cover 66 is attached to the inside of the base body cover 31 along the front edge of the base body cover 31. The lower part of the inner body cover 66 is formed along the lower front surface 41 of the base body cover 31. The lower part of the inner body cover 66 forms a slope facing diagonally forward, and receives water droplets from the front together with the lower front surface 41 of the base body cover 31. The base body cover 31, the inner body cover 66, the outer body cover 51, and the upper body cover 61 are fixed to one another mainly by latches.
[0029] The lamp cover 70 has a base lamp cover 71 that covers the periphery of the headlamp unit 25, and an outer lamp cover 73 attached to the outer surface of the base lamp cover 71. The base lamp cover 71 exposes the two upper and lower light emitters of the headlamp unit 25 from the front. The outer surface of the base lamp cover 71 is inclined outward in the left-right direction toward the rear, and the outer lamp cover 73 is attached to a protrusion 72 that protrudes from the outer surface of the base lamp cover 71. For this reason, a gap is formed between the outer surface of the base lamp cover 71 and the inner surface of the outer lamp cover 73.
[0030] The outer lamp cover 73 is formed in a substantially parallelogram shape in a side view. The front and rear edges of the outer lamp cover 73 are inclined backward from the lower edge to the upper edge, and the upper and lower edges of the outer lamp cover 73 are inclined upward from the front edge to the rear edge. A first guide surface 74 is formed in the middle of the height direction of the outer surface of the outer lamp cover 73. The first guide surface 74 extends substantially horizontally from the front edge to the rear edge, and is inclined outward in the left-right direction from the front edge to the rear edge. The traveling wind flows along the first guide surface 74, and the traveling wind is guided backward by the first guide surface 74.
[0031] A valley-shaped bent portion 75 is formed along the lower edge of the outer lamp cover 73 on the lower side of the outer surface of the outer lamp cover 73. The valley of the valley-shaped bent portion 75 extends parallel to the lower edge of the outer lamp cover 73, and a second guide surface 76 is formed below the valley of the valley-shaped bent portion 75. The second guide surface 76 extends obliquely upward from the front edge to the rear edge. The second guide surface 76 also inclines outward in the left-right direction from the valley toward the lower edge, and also inclines outward in the left-right direction from the front edge to the rear edge. The running wind flows along the second guide surface 76, so that the second guide surface 76 guides the running wind obliquely upward toward the rear.
[0032] A mountain-shaped bent portion 77 is formed on the upper side of the outer surface of the outer lamp cover 73 along the upper edge of the outer lamp cover 73. The ridgeline of the mountain-shaped bent portion 77 extends parallel to the upper edge of the outer lamp cover 73, and a third guide surface 78 is formed below the ridgeline of the mountain-shaped bent portion 77. The third guide surface 78 is formed in a substantially triangular shape in a side view, and is inclined inward in the left-right direction downward from the ridgeline, and is inclined outward in the left-right direction from the front edge to the rear edge. The running wind flows along the third guide surface 78, and the third guide surface 78 guides the running wind backward while suppressing the upward diffusion of the running wind.
[0033] In this way, the first to third guide surfaces 74, 76, 78 of the outer lamp cover 73 are inclined outward in the left-right direction toward the rear. Since the upper body cover 61 is disposed behind and outward in the left-right direction of the outer lamp cover 73, the traveling wind is guided from the outer lamp cover 73 to the upper body cover 61. The front forks 21 are positioned behind the outer lamp cover 73, and the traveling wind passes by the sides of the front forks 21 and is guided to the upper body cover 61. The upper body cover 61 diffuses the traveling wind outward in the left-right direction, reducing the impact of the traveling wind on the occupant.
[0034] Also, in the outer lamp cover 73, the traveling wind flowing along the first guide surface 74 merges with the traveling wind flowing along the second guide surface 76, diffusing the traveling wind and reducing the impact of the traveling wind on the occupant. Also, the third guide surface 78 makes it difficult for the traveling wind to diffuse upward, suppressing the flow of the traveling wind from the lamp cover 70 toward the occupant. The flow of the traveling wind will be described in detail later. Also, a meter panel 27 is provided on the upper part of the lamp cover 70, and a meter 28 is attached to the back of the meter panel 27. A turn signal lamp 29 is provided on the side of the meter panel 27.
[0035] The mounting structure of the upper body cover will be described with reference to Figures 5 and 6. Figure 5 is a cross-sectional view of the body cover taken along line AA in Figure 2. Figure 6 is a perspective view showing the mounting portion of the upper body cover of this embodiment.
[0036] As shown in Figures 5 and 6, the upper body cover 61 is formed with a plurality of hooking claws 63. The hooking claws 63 have a base end 64 protruding from the inner surface of the upper body cover 61 and a hook portion 65 extending rearward from the tip of the base end 64. The distance between the hook portion 65 and the inner surface of the upper body cover 61 increases from the base end of the hook portion 65 toward the tip. The base body cover 31 is formed with a plurality of hooking holes 47 and a plurality of bulging portions 45 corresponding to the plurality of hooking claws 63. The bulging portion 45 is formed with a support surface 49 on which the hook portion 65 is hooked, and the distance between the support surface 49 and the inner surface of the base body cover 31 increases from the front to the rear of the support surface 49.
[0037] The hook claws 63 of the upper body cover 61 enter the hook holes 47 of the base body cover 31, and the hook portions 65 of the hook claws 63 are supported by the support surfaces 49 of the bulging portions 45, so that the upper body cover 61 is hooked to the base body cover 31. At this time, since the hook portions 65 and the support surfaces 49 are inclined inwardly in the left-right direction toward the rear, the support surfaces 49 can easily enter inside the hook portions 65, and wobbling is reduced when the hook portions 65 enter inside the hook portions 65. It is preferable that the distance between the hook portions 65 and the inner surface of the upper body cover 61 is equal to or smaller than the distance between the support surface 49 and the inner surface of the base body cover 31.
[0038] The rear side of the upper body cover 61 is formed with a screw-fastening structure or a clip-fastening structure, and the rest of the upper body cover 61 is formed with the above-mentioned hook-fastening structure. Since the hook-fastening claws 63 are formed in a hook shape, the left and right width of the upper body cover 61 required for the hook-fastening structure is smaller than that for the screw-fastening structure or the clip-fastening structure. Since the left and right width of the front end side of the upper body cover 61 is narrow, the wind during running flows smoothly toward the rear of the upper body cover 61. The upper body cover 61 and the inner body cover 66 are also attached with a similar hook-fastening structure.
[0039] The flow of wind as the vehicle moves will be described with reference to Fig. 7 and Fig. 8. Fig. 7 is an enlarged view of the left side of the front part of the vehicle in this embodiment. Fig. 8 is a cross-sectional view of the front part of the vehicle in Fig. 7 cut along line BB.
[0040] 7, an outer lamp cover 73 is attached to the outer surface of a base lamp cover 71, and an upper body cover 61 is attached to the outer surface of a base body cover 31 behind the outer lamp cover 73. The lower end of the upper body cover 61 is located below a valley-shaped bent portion 75 on the lower side of the outer lamp cover 73, and the upper end of the upper body cover 61 is located above a mountain-shaped bent portion 77 on the upper side of the outer lamp cover 73. In this way, the upper body cover 61 is formed larger in the vertical direction than the outer lamp cover 73 behind the outer lamp cover 73.
[0041] The first guide surface 74 of the outer lamp cover 73 extends substantially horizontally, and the second guide surface 76 of the valley-shaped bent portion 75 extends obliquely upward from the front edge to the rear edge. The front edge of the second guide surface 76 is located forward and on the inside in the left-right direction (see FIG. 4) of the first guide surface 74, so that the traveling wind can easily flow along the second guide surface 76. The traveling wind indicated by the arrow F1 is guided rearward by the first guide surface 74, and the traveling wind indicated by the arrow F2 is guided obliquely rearward by the second guide surface 76. The traveling wind indicated by the arrow F2 joins the traveling wind indicated by the arrow F1 from below, so that the traveling wind is diffused in front of the upper body cover 61.
[0042] Additionally, the third guide surface 78 of the mountain-shaped bent portion 77 is inclined outward in the left-right direction upward from the first guide surface 74. The third guide surface 78 makes it difficult for the traveling wind indicated by the arrow F1 to diffuse upward, and the flow of the traveling wind from the outer surface of the outer lamp cover 73 toward the occupant is suppressed. This makes it easier for the traveling wind to flow from the first guide surface 74 of the outer lamp cover 73 toward the outer surface of the upper body cover 61. The front forks 21 are located behind the first guide surface 74, and the outer peripheral surfaces of the front forks 21 also function as a guide surface that guides the traveling wind rearward.
[0043] As shown in Fig. 8, the front fork 21 is disposed behind the outer lamp cover 73 and inside the upper body cover 61 in the left-right direction. An outer half (the left half in the figure) of the outer peripheral surface of the front fork 21 protrudes outward in the left-right direction beyond the outer lamp cover 73. An extension line L1 extending rearward from the first guide surface 74 passes through the front end of the front fork 21 or outside the front end in the left-right direction. When the wind strikes the outer side of the outer peripheral surface of the front fork 21 from the first guide surface 74, the wind easily flows from the outer lamp cover 73 toward the outer surface of the upper body cover 61 as shown by the arrow F3.
[0044] 7, an inclined surface 62 is formed on the outer side of the upper body cover 61, which inclines outward in the left-right direction from the front to the rear and inward in the left-right direction from the top to the bottom. The lower end of the inclined surface 62 of the upper body cover 61 is at approximately the same height as the lower end of the second guide surface 76, and the upper end of the inclined surface 62 of the upper body cover 61 is at approximately the same height as the upper end of the third guide surface 78. Since the inclined surface 62 of the upper body cover 61 is formed wide in the vertical direction, traveling wind heading rearward from the outer side of the upper body cover 61 is easily received by the inclined surface 62 of the upper body cover 61.
[0045] When the traveling wind passes along the side of the front fork 21 and is guided to the slope 62 of the upper body cover 61, the slope 62 of the upper body cover 61 diffuses the traveling wind outward in the left-right direction. At this time, as shown by arrow F4, the inclination of the slope 62 of the upper body cover 61 makes it difficult for the traveling wind to diffuse upward, and the flow of the traveling wind from the upper body cover 61 toward the occupant is suppressed. The traveling wind is guided from the outer lamp cover 73 to the upper body cover 61, and the upper body cover 61 diffuses the traveling wind outward in the left-right direction, so that the impact of the traveling wind on the occupant is reduced even if the left-right width of the lamp cover 70 is narrowed.
[0046] In this way, the traveling winds indicated by the arrows F1 and F2 join together behind the outer lamp cover 73, whereby the traveling wind is diffused, and is further diffused outward in the left-right direction by the outer surface of the upper body cover 61. By diffusing the traveling wind in two stages, the impact of the traveling wind on the occupants is effectively reduced. In the outer lamp cover 73, the third guide surface 78 prevents the traveling wind from diffusing upward, and in the upper body cover 61, the slope 62 prevents the traveling wind from diffusing upward. This makes it difficult for the traveling wind to flow toward the occupants from the outer lamp cover 73 and the upper body cover 61, further reducing the impact of the traveling wind on the occupants.
[0047] As described above, according to this embodiment, the upper body cover 61 is disposed rearward and outward in the left-right direction from the outer lamp cover 73, and the outer side surface of the outer lamp cover 73 is inclined toward the outer side surface of the upper body cover 61. The traveling wind from the front is guided from the outer side surface of the outer lamp cover 73 to the outer side surface of the upper body cover 61, and the traveling wind is diffused outward in the left-right direction by the outer side surface of the upper body cover 61 in front of the occupant. Since the flow of the traveling wind is directed outward in the left-right direction not only by the outer side surface of the outer lamp cover 73 but also by the outer side surface of the outer lamp cover 73 and the outer side surface of the upper body cover 61, it is not necessary to form the lamp cover 70 with a large left-right width for wind protection. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the impact of the traveling wind on the occupant without impairing the appearance.
[0048] In this embodiment, the body cover is made up of a plurality of cover members, but the body cover may be made up of a single cover member.
[0049] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the lamp cover is made up of a plurality of cover members, but the lamp cover may be made up of a single cover member.
[0050] In this embodiment, the first to third guide surfaces are formed on the outer surface of the outer lamp cover, but the first to third guide surfaces do not have to be formed on the outer surface of the outer lamp cover. The outer surface of the outer lamp cover only needs to be inclined outward in the left-right direction toward the outer surface of the upper body cover.
[0051] In addition, in this embodiment, the second guide surface is inclined outward in the left-right direction from the valley of the outer lamp cover toward the lower edge when viewed from the front, but the second guide surface need only be formed to guide the traveling wind diagonally upward toward the rear.
[0052] In addition, in this embodiment, when viewed from the front, the third guide surface slopes downward and inward in the left-right direction from the ridge of the outer lamp cover, but the third guide surface need only be formed so as to guide the traveling wind rearward while suppressing its upward diffusion.
[0053] In addition, in this embodiment, the outer lamp cover is formed in a substantially parallelogram shape when viewed from the side, but the outer shape of the outer lamp cover is not particularly limited.
[0054] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the slope of the upper body cover slopes outward in the left-right direction from the front to the rear, and slopes inward in the left-right direction from the top to the bottom, but it is sufficient that the slope of the upper body cover slopes outward in the left-right direction at least from the front to the rear.
[0055] In addition, a saddle-type vehicle is not limited to all vehicles in which a rider sits astride a seat, but also includes small scooter-type vehicles in which a rider does not sit astride a seat.
[0056] As described above, the cover structure of this embodiment is a cover structure for the front part of the vehicle of the saddle-type vehicle (1) provided with the headlamp unit (25), and includes the lamp cover (70) attached around the headlamp unit, and the side cover (body cover 30) arranged behind and outside the lamp cover in the left-right direction, and the outer side surface of the lamp cover is inclined outward in the left-right direction toward the outer side surface of the side cover. According to this configuration, the side cover is arranged behind and outside the lamp cover in the left-right direction, and the outer side surface of the lamp cover is inclined toward the outer side surface of the side cover. The traveling wind from the front is guided from the outer side surface of the lamp cover to the outer side surface of the side cover, and the traveling wind is diffused outward in the left-right direction by the outer side surface of the side cover in front of the occupant. Since the flow of the traveling wind is directed outward in the left-right direction not only by the outer side surface of the lamp cover but also by the outer side surface of the lamp cover and the outer side surface of the side cover, it is not necessary to form the lamp cover with a large left-right width for wind protection. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the blow of the traveling wind on the occupant without impairing the appearance.
[0057] In the cover structure of this embodiment, a first guide surface (74) that guides the traveling wind rearward is formed at the middle of the height direction of the outer surface of the lamp cover, and a second guide surface (76) that guides the traveling wind obliquely upward toward the rear is formed on the lower side of the outer surface of the lamp cover. With this configuration, the traveling wind flowing rearward along the first guide surface merges with the traveling wind flowing obliquely upward along the second guide surface, thereby diffusing the traveling wind. When the traveling wind passes through the lamp cover, the side cover further diffuses the traveling wind, reducing the impact of the traveling wind on the occupants.
[0058] In the cover structure of this embodiment, the second guide surface extends from the front edge to the rear edge of the lamp cover, and the front edge of the second guide surface is located forward and inside the first guide surface in the left-right direction. With this configuration, the traveling wind can easily flow along the second guide surface, and the traveling wind flowing along the first guide surface is effectively diffused by the traveling wind flowing along the second guide surface.
[0059] In the cover structure of this embodiment, the front fork (21) is disposed behind the lamp cover and on the inside in the left-right direction of the side cover, and an extension line (L1) extending rearward from the first guide surface passes through the front end of the front fork or outside the front end in the left-right direction. With this configuration, the traveling wind hits the outside in the left-right direction of the outer peripheral surface of the front fork from the first guide surface, so that the traveling wind can easily flow from the lamp cover to the outer surface of the side cover.
[0060] In the cover structure of this embodiment, the outer surface of the side cover is formed with a slope (62) that slopes outward in the left-right direction from the front to the rear and slopes inward in the left-right direction from the top to the bottom. With this configuration, the slope of the side cover diffuses the traveling wind outward in the left-right direction. At this time, the inclination of the slope of the upper body cover makes it difficult for the traveling wind to diffuse upward, and the flow of the traveling wind from the outer surface of the upper body cover toward the occupant is suppressed.
[0061] In the cover structure of this embodiment, a third guide surface (78) is formed on the upper side of the outer surface of the lamp cover, which guides the traveling wind rearward while suppressing the upward diffusion of the traveling wind. With this configuration, the third guide surface makes it difficult for the traveling wind to diffuse upward, and the flow of the traveling wind from the outer surface of the lamp cover toward the occupant is suppressed. The traveling wind flows more easily from the outer surface of the lamp cover to the outer surfaces of the side covers, and the outer surfaces of the side covers diffuse the traveling wind outward in the left-right direction, reducing the impact of the traveling wind on the occupant.
[0062] Although the present embodiment has been described, other embodiments may be made by combining the above-described embodiments and modifications in whole or in part.
[0063] In addition, the technology of the present invention is not limited to the above examples, and may be modified, substituted, or altered in various ways without departing from the spirit of the technical idea. Furthermore, if the technical idea can be realized in a different way due to the progress of technology or a different technology derived therefrom, the invention may be implemented using that method. Therefore, the claims cover all embodiments that may be included within the scope of the technical idea. [Explanation of symbols]
