Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a wiring module. [Background technology]
[0002] A wiring module that is attached to a plurality of energy storage elements is disclosed in JP 2015-156329 A. This wiring module is provided with a voltage monitoring line that is made of flexible connection wiring such as an FFC (flexible flat cable) or an FPC (flexible printed circuit board) on the electrode posts of the energy storage elements. A connector is connected to one end of the voltage monitoring line. This connector is connected to an equipment-side connector provided in a voltage monitoring unit. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2015-156329 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] The operation of fitting the connection connector and the device-side connector is performed, for example, as follows: The energy storage element with the wiring module attached is fixed in a predetermined position, and the device-side connector is fixed in a predetermined position. The connection connector is brought close to the device-side connector, and is then pushed into the device-side connector. This causes the connection connector and the device-side connector to fit together.
[0005] When performing the above operation, it is necessary to provide the voltage monitoring line with a surplus length that corresponds to the length required to bring the connecting connector close to the device connector and to fit it thereto, and a surplus length that corresponds to the length required to push the connecting connector into the device connector. This surplus length is required to move in accordance with the connecting connector when the connecting connector and the device connector are mated.
[0006] However, if the excess length portion is always freely movable, the connecting connector may move due to vibrations, etc., which may cause stress to be applied to the excess length portion. For example, vibrations occurring when the wiring module is transported before the connecting connector and the device-side connector are mated, or vibrations of the vehicle after the connecting connector and the device-side connector are mated and the wiring module is mounted on the vehicle, may cause the connecting connector to move, which may cause stress to be applied to the excess length portion.
[0007] In addition, there may be cases where an external artificial force is directly applied to the excess length. For example, when mating the connector with the device-side connector, if the connector is accidentally pulled out more than necessary, stress may be applied to the excess length. [Means for solving the problem]
[0008] The wiring module of the present disclosure is a wiring module attached to a plurality of energy storage elements having electrode terminals, the wiring module comprising: a flexible substrate electrically connected to the electrode terminals, a connector connected to the flexible substrate, and a case holding the flexible substrate and the connector, the case comprising: a case body fixed to the plurality of energy storage elements, a connector holding portion holding the connector, and a connecting portion which is expandable and contractible and connects the connector holding portion to the case body so that it can be moved freely, the flexible substrate comprising: a substrate body fixed to the case body, and an excess portion extending from the substrate body and having an end to which the connector is connected, the excess portion being capable of following the expansion and contraction of the connecting portion, the excess portion being always longer than the connecting portion, and the excess portion being in a sagging state even when the connecting portion is fully extended. Effect of the Invention
[0009] According to the present disclosure, it is possible to provide a wiring module that can suppress stress from being applied to a flexible substrate connected to a connector. [Brief description of the drawings]

The present disclosure is not limited to these examples, but is defined by the claims, and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope of the claims.
[0023] <Embodiment 1> A first embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to Fig. 1 to Fig. 10. A power storage module 10 including a wiring module 20 of this embodiment is mounted on a vehicle as a power source for driving the vehicle, such as an electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle. In the following description, the direction indicated by the arrow Z is the upward direction, the direction indicated by the arrow X is the forward direction, and the direction indicated by the arrow Y is the leftward direction. Note that, for multiple identical members, only some of the members may be labeled with reference numerals, and the reference numerals of the other members may be omitted.
[0024] [Energy storage element] As shown in FIG. 1, in an energy storage module 10, a plurality of energy storage elements 11 are arranged in the front-rear direction (rear portions of the plurality of energy storage elements 11 are not shown). The energy storage elements 11 have a rectangular shape in a plan view. An energy storage element (not shown) is housed inside the energy storage elements 11. The energy storage elements 11 are not particularly limited and may be secondary batteries or capacitors. The energy storage elements 11 in this embodiment are secondary batteries.
[0025] [Electrode terminal] As shown in Fig. 1, electrode terminals 12 are formed on both the left and right ends of the upper surface of the energy storage element 11. One of the electrode terminals 12 is a positive electrode, and the other is a negative electrode. In the multiple energy storage elements 11, the electrode terminals 12 are arranged in two rows in the front-rear direction, and the electrode terminals 12 in the two rows are spaced apart in the left-right direction. A connection bus bar 13 (an example of a bus bar) is electrically connected to the electrode terminals 12 in the right-hand row. A connection bus bar 13 or an output bus bar 14 (an example of a bus bar) is electrically connected to the electrode terminals 12 in the left-hand row.
[0026] [Connection busbar, output busbar] The connection busbar 13 and the output busbar 14 are formed by pressing a metal plate into a predetermined shape. Any metal can be selected as the metal constituting the metal plate, such as copper, a copper alloy, aluminum, an aluminum alloy, etc. A plating layer (not shown) may be formed on the surface of the connection busbar 13 and the output busbar 14. Any metal can be selected as the metal constituting the plating layer, such as tin, nickel, solder, etc.
[0027] As shown in Fig. 1, the connection bus bar 13 is connected to the electrode terminals 12 in a state in which it straddles the electrode terminals 12 adjacent to each other in the front-rear direction. The output bus bar 14 is connected to one electrode terminal 12 and outputs power to an external device. In this embodiment, there are two output bus bars 14, which are connected to the electrode terminals 12 arranged on the left side of the foremost and rearmost energy storage elements 11 (only the foremost output bus bar 14 is shown in Fig. 1). The output bus bars 14 and the connection bus bars 13 can be electrically connected to the electrode terminals 12 by a known method such as soldering, welding, or bolting.
[0028] 1, the connection bus bar 13 is electrically connected to the flexible substrate 21 of the wiring module 20. In this embodiment, the connection bus bar 13 is connected to the flexible substrate 21 via a small metal piece 15 such as nickel. The connection bus bar 13 and the small metal piece 15 are connected by welding, and the flexible substrate 21 and the small metal piece 15 are connected by soldering. Although not shown, the output bus bar 14 is also connected to the flexible substrate 21 in a similar manner.
[0029] [Wiring module] 1, a wiring module 20 is placed on the upper surface of the multiple energy storage elements 11. The wiring module 20 according to this embodiment includes a flexible substrate 21, a connector 26 to which the flexible substrate 21 is connected, and a case 30 that holds the flexible substrate 21 and the connector 26. The energy storage module 10 includes a wiring module 20 (see FIG. 1) that is connected to electrode terminals 12 arranged on the right side of the multiple energy storage elements 11, and a wiring module (not shown) that is connected to electrode terminals 12 arranged on the left side of the multiple energy storage elements 11, but since both have the same configuration, only the former will be described in detail in this specification.
[0030] [Flexible board] As shown in Fig. 1, the flexible substrate 21 is generally in the form of a long and narrow strip in the front-rear direction. The flexible substrate 21 is configured by forming a plurality of voltage detection lines (not shown) on the surface of a flexible insulating sheet by a printed wiring technology. The flexible substrate 21 of this embodiment is a flexible printed circuit board. As shown in Fig. 7, the flexible substrate 21 includes a substrate body 22 fixed to a case body 31, and an excess portion 25 provided continuous to the substrate body 22.
[0031] [Board body] As shown in Fig. 6, the substrate body 22 is provided with a through hole 23, through which the support portion 34B of the case body 31 is inserted. This positions and fixes the flexible substrate 21 relative to the case body 31. As shown in Fig. 2, the substrate body 22 has a substrate-side connection portion 24 that protrudes to the right. The substrate-side connection portion 24 is a portion that is connected to the small metal piece 15, and one end of a voltage detection wire (not shown) is disposed thereon.
[0032] [Extra length, connector] 7, the excess length 25 is disposed in front of the case body 31 and is not fixed to the case body 31. In other words, the excess length 25 is movable relative to the case body 31. A connector 26 for a flexible printed circuit board is connected to the front end of the excess length 25. A terminal (not shown) is housed inside the connector 26. This terminal is electrically connected to the other end (not shown) of the voltage detection line of the flexible circuit board 21.
[0033] 10, connector 26 is adapted to be connected to device-side connector 27 provided on an external ECU (Electronic Control Unit) or the like. The ECU is equipped with a microcomputer, elements, and the like, and has a well-known configuration having functions for detecting the voltage, current, temperature, and the like of each storage element 11, controlling the charging and discharging of each storage element 11, and the like.
[0034] [case] The case 30 is made of insulating synthetic resin and has a plate shape. As shown in Fig. 2, the case 30 includes a case body 31 fixed to the plurality of energy storage elements 11, a connector holding portion 41 that holds the connector 26, and a connecting portion 39 that connects the case body 31 and the connector holding portion 41.
[0035] [Case body] As shown in FIG. 2, a busbar arrangement section 32 having a frame shape with a partially bottomed out portion is provided on the right side of the case body 31. The connection busbar 13 is arranged in the busbar arrangement section 32. A board holding section 33 for holding the board body 22 of the flexible board 21 is provided on the left side of the case body 31. As shown in FIG. 1, a member including the busbar arrangement section 32 and the board holding section 33 having substantially the same dimension in the front-rear direction as the busbar arrangement section 32 is defined as a unit 37. Although not shown in its entirety, the case 30 is configured by connecting a plurality of units 37 arranged in the front-rear direction to each other by link sections 38. By providing the link sections 38, it is possible to absorb the assembly tolerance of the connection busbar 13 to the electrode terminal 12.
[0036] As shown in FIG. 6, the substrate holder 33 includes a substrate placement portion 34 on which the substrate body 22 is placed, and a substrate cover portion 35 that covers the substrate body 22 from above. The substrate placement portion 34 is provided with a support portion 34B that protrudes upward for positioning the flexible substrate 21. The substrate placement portion 34 and the substrate cover portion 35 are connected by a hinge-shaped connection portion 36. The substrate cover portion 35 is provided with a locking protrusion 35A that is adapted to be locked with the locking receiving portion 34A of the substrate placement portion 34. That is, the substrate body 22 is accommodated between the substrate placement portion 34 and the substrate cover portion 35. By providing the substrate cover portion 35, the substrate body 22 is prevented from being exposed to the outside, and the substrate body 22 is less likely to be subjected to external force.
[0037] [Connection part] As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the front end unit 37 has two connecting parts 39 extending from the front end of the board cover part 35. As shown in Figs. 8 and 9, the connecting parts 39 are provided with a plurality of hinges 40. The hinges 40 are formed in a groove shape extending in the left-right direction (perpendicular to the paper surface) and are thin-walled and provided to be flexible. The connecting parts 39 are caterpillar-shaped and can expand and contract between a folded state (see Fig. 8) and an unfolded state (see Fig. 9). The connecting parts 39 extend in the front-rear direction in Fig. 9, but can also expand and contract in the up-down direction and diagonally upward direction. A connector holder 41 is provided at the end of the connecting parts 39 opposite to the end connected to the board cover part 35.
[0038] [Connector holding part] As shown in FIG. 4, the connector holding portion 41 holds the connector 26 so as to cover a part of the upper, lower, left and right outer surfaces of the connector 26. The connector holding portion 41 includes a coupling portion 42, a locking projection 43 and a locking receiving portion 44, similar to the board holding portion 33, and is adapted to be assembled to the connector 26 from above and below. As shown in FIG. 8, a rear abutment portion 45 that abuts against the connector 26 from the rear is provided on the upper wall of the connector holding portion 41, and a front abutment portion 46 that abuts against the connector 26 from the front is provided on the lower wall of the connector holding portion 41. The rear abutment portion 45 and the front abutment portion 46 abut against the connector 26, so that the connector 26 does not come off the connector holding portion 41 in the front-rear direction. The upper wall of the connector holding portion 41 is connected to the connecting portion 39 at the rear end.
[0039] 8 and 9, the connector holding part 41 is connected to the case main body 31 (board cover part 35) via an expandable connecting part 39, and is therefore movable in the front-rear and up-down directions relative to the case main body 31. The connector holding part 41 can also move in the left-right direction relative to the case main body 31, although the range of movement is smaller than in the front-rear and up-down directions. When the connecting part 39 expands and contracts to cause the connector holding part 41 (and the connector 26) to move, the excess length part 25 connected to the connector 26 can also move.
[0040] As shown in FIG. 8, an excess length accommodating section 54 is provided in front of the board mounting section 34 at the front end of the wiring module 20. The excess length accommodating section 54 accommodates the excess length 25 and prevents the excess length 25 from being exposed to the outside. The excess length accommodating section 54 has a shape recessed downward with respect to the board mounting section 34. This allows the excess length 25 to be folded and accommodated in the excess length accommodating section 54. In addition, by arranging the connector holding section 41 together with the excess length 25 in the excess length accommodating section 54 with the connecting section 39 in a contracted state, it is possible to prevent the connector 26 from protruding upward, and the wiring module 20 can be made low-profile.
[0041] FIG. 3 shows a state in which the connecting portion 39 is fully extended forward relative to the case body 31. In this state, the connector 26 cannot move forward any further. When the connecting portion 39 is fully extended, the excess portion 25 is in a slack state as shown in FIG. 9. That is, the excess portion 25 is set to be longer than the maximum dimension of the connecting portion 39 in the front-rear direction. Here, the maximum dimension of the connecting portion 39 in the front-rear direction refers to the dimension from the front end portion of the case body 31 to the rear end surface of the connector 26. Note that, in FIG. 9, the connecting portion 39 is in a state in which it is extended forward relative to the case body 31, but this is not limited thereto, and the excess portion 25 is in a slack state even if the connecting portion 39 is extended upward or backward, for example.
[0042] Therefore, even when the connecting portion 39 is fully stretched, no stress is applied to the excess length portion 25. For example, as shown in Fig. 10, even if the connector 26 is pulled and the connecting portion 39 is fully stretched when the connector 26 is mated with the device-side connector 27, the excess length portion 25 remains in a slack state, so that the excess length portion 25 is unlikely to be subjected to a load.
[0043] [Engaged part, guide protrusion] As shown in Fig. 3, a sliding plate portion 47 extending rearward is provided on the rear side of the left-right central portion of the upper wall of the connector holding portion 41. A hole-shaped locked portion 48 penetrating in the up-down direction is provided on the rear side of the sliding plate portion 47. Guide protrusions 49 (an example of a guide portion) protruding from both side edges of the sliding plate portion 47 are provided on both left and right ends of the sliding plate portion 47 forward of the locked portion 48. As shown in Fig. 7, an operation portion 50 is provided at the rear end of the sliding plate portion 47 via a step.
[0044] [Latching part] As shown in FIG. 3, a slide plate accommodating section 51 for receiving the slide plate 47 is provided at the front end in the left-right center of the board cover section 35. As shown in FIG. 7, a locking section 52 protruding upward is provided at the center of the slide plate accommodating section 51. The rear end of the locking section 52 has a steep surface. The front part of the locking section 52 has a tapered surface that is located lower toward the front. When the slide plate section 47 is slid backward into the slide plate accommodating section 51, the locking section 52 is locked with the locked section 48. By locking the locking section 52 with the locked section 48, the connector holding section 41 (and thus the connector 26) can be fixed to the case body 31 with the connecting section 39 contracted. Hereinafter, the state in which the locking section 52 and the locked section 48 are locked in this way will be referred to as a locked state.
[0045] [Guide recess] As shown in Fig. 3, groove-shaped guide recesses 53 (an example of a guide portion) are provided at both left and right ends on the front side of the sliding plate portion accommodating portion 51. As shown in Fig. 5, in the locked state, the guide recesses 53 come into contact with the guide protrusions 49.
[0046] As shown in FIG. 7, the operating portion 50 of the sliding plate portion 47 is provided above the board cover portion 35 with a gap therebetween. Therefore, in the locked state, the locking portion 52 and the locked portion 48 are disengaged by moving the sliding plate portion 47 forward while pulling the operating portion 50 upward. As shown in FIG. 5, in the locked state, the guide protrusion 49 and the guide recess 53 are in sliding contact with each other, so that when the sliding plate portion 47 is slid forward, the direction in which the connector holding portion 41 can move relative to the case body 31 can be restricted to approximately the front-rear direction. Therefore, it is easy to disengage the locking portion 52 and the locked portion 48 and connect the connector 26 to the device-side connector 27 (see FIG. 10).
[0047] 3, in this embodiment, the connecting portion 39 and the sliding plate portion 47 are arranged above the excess length portion 25, and therefore it is possible to prevent the excess length portion 25 from being exposed to the outside. In addition, by arranging members such as the connecting portion 39, the locked portion 48, the locking portion 52, the guide protrusion 49, and the guide recess 53 above the flexible substrate 21, it is possible to reduce the size of the wiring module 20 in the left-right direction.
[0048] [Effects of the First Embodiment] According to this embodiment, the following actions and effects are obtained. The wiring module 20 in this embodiment is a wiring module 20 attached to a plurality of storage elements 11 having electrode terminals 12, and comprises a flexible substrate 21 electrically connected to the electrode terminals 12, a connector 26 connected to the flexible substrate 21, and a case 30 that holds the flexible substrate 21 and the connector 26. The flexible substrate 21 comprises a substrate main body 22 fixed to the case main body 31, and an excess portion 25 that extends from the substrate main body 22 and has an end to which the connector 26 is connected. The excess portion 25 is capable of following the expansion and contraction of the connecting portion 39, so that the excess portion 25 is always longer than the connecting portion 39, and even if the connecting portion 39 is fully stretched, the excess portion 25 is in a sagging state.
[0049] According to the above configuration, when the connecting portion 39 is fully stretched, the excess length portion 25 is in a slack state, so that the application of stress to the excess length portion 25 can be suppressed.
[0050] In this embodiment, the connecting portion 39 is configured to include a plurality of hinges 40 .
[0051] According to the above configuration, the connecting portion 39 can easily expand and contract smoothly.
[0052] In this embodiment, the connector holding portion 41 includes a locked portion 48 for locking the connector 26 to the case body 31 , and the case body 31 includes a locking portion 52 that locks with the locked portion 48 .
[0053] According to the above configuration, the connector 26 can be fixed to the case body 31 when the wiring module 20 is transported, etc.
[0054] In this embodiment, the case 30 includes a guide protrusion 49 and a guide recess 53 that regulate the direction in which the connector holding portion 41 can move as the connecting portion 39 expands and contracts.
[0055] According to the above configuration, the fitting operation of the connector 26 can be easily performed.
[0056] In this embodiment, the flexible substrate 21 and the electrode terminals 12 are electrically connected via a connection bus bar 13 or an output bus bar 14 .
[0057] According to the above configuration, electrical connection between flexible substrate 21 and electrode terminals 12 can be easily achieved.
