Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a release wire used in a remote-controlled drain plug device that opens and closes the drain outlet of a tank body by operating an operating unit provided at a position separated from the drain outlet. [Background technology]

[0002] Conventionally, a widely known method for treating wastewater generated inside a tank body such as a bathtub or wash basin is to provide a drain outlet on the bottom of the tank body and discharge the wastewater from this drain outlet through piping members into the sewer system. There is also a method in which a drain plug is placed to cover the drain outlet to store water inside the tank body and the drain plug is raised and separated from the drain outlet to open the drain outlet, but a remote-controlled drain plug device is also known in which the opening and closing of the drain outlet by raising and lowering the drain plug is performed by operating an operating unit provided at a position separated from the drain plug and the drain outlet, for example, on the edge of the tank body or above the side of the tank body. A widely known remote-controlled drain plug device is described in Patent Document 1, which consists of a drain outlet provided on the bottom of the tank body, a drain plug positioned above the drain outlet, and an operating unit located away from the drain plug, and which opens and closes the drain outlet remotely by operating the operating unit. In more detail, the remote-controlled drain plug device described in Patent Document 1 is composed of a drain main body having a cylindrical shape and a drain outlet at its upper edge, a plug member consisting of a disk-shaped drain plug for opening and closing the drain outlet and a shaft portion hanging down from the center of the drain plug, a piping section consisting of a tube bent into an L-shape connected to the lower end of the drain main body, a mechanism section having a push-up shaft attached to the piping section at a position directly below the drain outlet during installation, an operation section having a knob portion for performing a pushing operation, and a release wire consisting of a cylindrical outer tube and an inner wire that advances and retreats within the outer tube. The mechanism section is configured so that one end of the inner wire of the release wire abuts against the lower end of the push-up shaft when installation is completed, and is configured so that each time the inner wire is pushed, the push-up shaft is alternately fixed in a raised state and released and the push-up shaft is lowered. The washbasin, which serves as the tank body in which these remote-controlled drain plug devices are installed, is open at the top and has a mounting hole on the bottom for attaching the drain outlet body, and an operating unit mounting hole near the upper edge of the opening for attaching the operating unit.

[0003] The remote-controlled drain plug device consisting of the above-mentioned components is installed in a washbasin, which is a tank body, as follows. First, the drain body is attached to the mounting hole of the washbasin, and the operating part is attached to the mounting hole of the operating part. Next, the mechanism and one end of the release wire are connected to the piping section, and the upstream end is connected to the bottom end of the drain main body and the downstream end is connected to a drainage piping leading to the sewer side. The other end of the release wire is connected to the operating unit. With this connection, every time the knob of the operating unit is pressed, the pressing operation is transmitted to the mechanism via the inner wire of the release wire, and the mechanism can alternately lock the push-up shaft in a raised state and then release the lock and lower the push-up shaft. Furthermore, a plug member is placed from the drain outlet into the drain outlet body, completing the installation of the remote-controlled drain plug device. In this conventional example, the drainage flow path through which hot and cold water is discharged from the tank body extends from the drain outlet to the drainage piping connected to the sewer side, and the piping section includes not only the piping section described above, but also the drain outlet, overflow-related parts, the piping section, and the drainage piping connected to the sewer side.

[0004] When using the remote-controlled drain plug device configured as above, first lower the valve body so that the drain plug closes the drain outlet. At this time, the push-up shaft has been released from its fixed position and lowered, and is now spaced from the lower end of the shaft of the valve body. When the knob of the operating unit is pressed from this state, the pushing operation is transmitted to the push-up shaft of the mechanism unit via the inner wire, causing the push-up shaft to rise and the mechanism unit to fix the push-up shaft in the raised position. The upper end of the push-up shaft pushes up the lower end of the shaft unit and raises the entire plug member, causing the drain plug to rise and move away from the drain outlet, and the drain outlet is fixed in an open position. If there is hot or cold water in the tub, the hot or cold water is discharged as drainage from the drain outlet, through the inside of the drain outlet body and inside the piping unit, and into the piping on the sewer side. When the knob member of the operating unit is pressed again, the pressing operation is transmitted again to the push-up shaft via the inner wire, the lifted state of the push-up shaft is released, and the push-up shaft descends due to its own weight, etc. Along with this, the plug member also loses support and descends, moving to a position where the drain plug abuts against the drain outlet and blocks the outlet. Thereafter, by pressing the knob of the operating unit, the drain outlet can be opened and closed remotely at a position away from the drain plug. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0005] [Patent Document 1] Patent Publication No. 2001-152505 DISCLOSURE OF THEINVENTION [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0006] In the remote-controlled drain plug device described in Patent Document 1, the piping section is the section into which wastewater from the drain outlet flows in. The push-up shaft linked to the release wire is configured to penetrate the inside and outside of this piping section, with one end positioned inside the piping section and push up the plug member, but it is a problem if the wastewater in the piping section flows out of the piping section from the section through which the release wire or mechanism is inserted. For this reason, in the remote-controlled drain plug device described in Patent Document 1, a bellows-shaped packing made of an elastic material that expands and contracts in accordance with the rise and fall of the push-up shaft is placed on the push-up shaft, and this packing prevents the drainage water within the pipe from flowing out of the pipe while moving into the pipe. However, in the remote-controlled drain plug device configured as above, the bellows-shaped packing arranged in the mechanism portion has elasticity, and therefore the operation of the mechanism portion is affected by the elasticity of this packing. Specifically, in order to close the drain, the drain plug needs to be lowered completely so that it abuts against the periphery of the drain, but even when the push-up shaft is released, the bellows-shaped packing does not lower completely due to its elasticity, and the shaft part becomes supported by the bellows-shaped packing, so the drain plug does not lower completely and appears to float slightly above the drain, making it impossible to close the drain completely. There are several other methods for a remote-controlled drain plug device to open and close a drain, such as omitting the fixing mechanism for the support shaft from the mechanism, connecting the inner wire of the release wire to a member of the mechanism that pushes up the plug member, such as a push-up shaft, and linking the pushing and pulling of the knob to the opening and closing of the drain, but if a packing that ensures watertightness is placed in the operating part of the mechanism that pushes up the drain plug, the operation must be performed against the friction caused by the watertight connection of the packing, which causes an impairment to the operation of the mechanism, and causes problems with opening and closing the drain, just as with the remote-controlled drain plug device described in Patent Document 1. In addition, there is a problem that the friction of the packing increases the force required to open and close the drain, and the friction can cause damage to the release wire, i.e., buckling. The present invention has been invented in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and provides a release wire for use in a remote-controlled drain plug device that prevents the operation of the mechanism from being impeded, while preventing drainage water in the piping from entering the outer tube, and prevents breakdown of the release wire. [0013] A first embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In the following description of each embodiment, the movement of the inner wire 5b of the release wire 5 toward the drain outlet 1a will be described as "forward" and the movement toward the operating part S will be described as "rearward." In addition, "up" and "down" in the description of this embodiment will be described based on the illustration in FIG. 1. The release wire of the first embodiment of the present invention shown in Figures 1 to 5 is used in a remote-controlled drain plug device adopted for the wash basin B of a wash basin W as a tank body. The wash basin W and the remote-controlled drain plug device are composed of components such as a drain main body 1, a piping section 6, a mechanism section 7, an operating section S, a plug member 2, a release wire 5 of the present invention, an overflow piping 9, a plate nut member N, and a trap piping T, which are described below. The washbasin W is a box-shaped body with an opening at the top, and is composed of a washbasin B having a mounting hole H1 on its bottom for mounting the drain main body 1 and an operation unit mounting hole H2 on the upper periphery for mounting the operation unit S, and a cabinet C on which the washbasin B is placed. An overflow drain O is provided on the side of the washbasin B near the upper edge. The drain body 1 is a member having a substantially cylindrical shape, with the drain 1a at the opening at the top end and a drainage flow path in the interior of the cylinder continuing from the drain 1a. The upper end part has a flange 1b protruding in the lateral direction on the outer periphery, a horizontal hole 1c penetrating the drain body 1 from inside to outside on the lower side of the flange 1b, and a male thread on the outer side below that. The piping section 6 is a piping component of a T-shaped joint pipe connected to the drain outlet main body 1, and is composed of a straight pipe section 6a equipped with a nut member at the upper end, and an insertion section 6b, which is a branch pipe section provided on the side of the straight pipe section 6a for connecting and arranging the release wire 5 and mechanism section 7 described later. The mechanism 7 is connected to the inner wire 5b of the release wire 5, which will be described later, and is composed of a columnar part 7a that moves back and forth along the insertion part 6b within the insertion part 6b, and a push-up part 7b that is attached to the columnar part 7a so that it can rotate up and down. The mechanism 7 may be coated with grease or the like to make the movement of the mechanism 7 smooth within the insertion part 6b, but is not provided with packing or the like to watertightly separate the drainage flow path from the end side of the insertion part 6b. As shown in Figures 2, 3, etc., the mechanism unit 7 is arranged within the insertion portion 6b of the piping section 6, and is configured so that when it advances toward the straight pipe section 6a side (the drain outlet 1a side), the tip of the push-up portion 7b rotates and descends, and when it retreats toward the end side of the insertion portion 6b (the operating section S side), the tip of the push-up portion 7b rotates and rises. The operating section S is composed of an approximately cylindrical operating section main body 3 and a knob section 4 equipped with a shaft section 4a that is pushed and pulled up and down inside the operating section main body 3. An elastic protrusion 3a is provided on the inner periphery of the operating section main body 3. In addition, the shaft section 4a of the knob section 4 has groove sections 4b that engage with the elastic protrusions 3a formed in two places, top and bottom, along the periphery. Furthermore, the end of the release wire 5 on the side of the operating section S is watertightly or airtightly connected to the lower end of the operating section main body 3. Furthermore, a gap is formed between the shaft portion 4a and the inner surface of the operating section main body 3 to allow ventilation to the extent that it does not impede the operation of the remote controlled drain plug device, and the air inside the outer tube 5a passes through the gap between the shaft portion 4a and the operating section main body 3 and is configured to be released to the atmosphere from the upper end of the operating section main body 3. The plug member 2 is composed of a disk-shaped drain plug 2a that blocks the drain outlet 1a, a shaft portion 2b that hangs down from the lower center of the drain plug 2a, and a guide portion 2c that is provided on the shaft portion 2b so that the shaft portion 4a can move freely up and down and that prevents the drain plug 2a from tilting. The release wire 5 is composed of an outer tube 5a having a cylindrical shape and rigidity in the axial direction and flexibility in the lateral direction, an inner wire 5b made of a twisted metal wire having rigidity in the axial direction and flexibility in the lateral direction, which moves back and forth within the outer tube 5a, and a blocking member 5c which is inserted into the outer tube 5a and blocks the end of the insertion portion 6b. The end of the inner wire 5b on the drain port 1a side is exposed to the drainage passing through the piping 6. If the end of the inner wire 5b on the drain port 1a side is exposed even partially within the piping 6, it will be exposed to the drainage. In addition, the end of the outer tube 5a on the drain outlet 1a side has a flange portion that protrudes toward the outer circumference of the cylindrical shape, and is equipped with a packing for the penetration portion PK on the side of the flange portion to ensure watertightness at the portion where the release wire 5 penetrates the piping portion 6. This packing for the penetration portion PK connects the outer tube 5a to the inner surface of the insertion portion 6b in a watertight manner, and fixes the end of the outer tube 5a to the piping portion 6 by clamping the flange portion of the outer tube 5a between the end of the insertion portion 6b and the blocking member 5c. In addition, a cap body 5d made of an elastic material such as rubber is provided on each of the operation unit S side and the drain outlet 1a side of the inner wire 5b at a position exposed from the outer tube 5a as a cap mechanism for closing the opening of the end of the outer tube 5a. The cap body 5d on the drain outlet 1a side has an inclined surface on the contact surface, which enhances watertightness when it contacts the end of the outer tube 5a. In this embodiment, the cap body 5d is made of an elastic material, but the material is not particularly important. For example, it may be made of a hard resin material or a metal material, or it may be made of a hard resin material or a metal material with a packing as a watertight member. The cap body 5d will be described in detail with reference to Figure 5. Figure 5 is a reference diagram showing the operation of the release wire 5 when the remote-controlled drain plug device is in operation, with the end facing horizontally on the left being the end on the drain outlet 1a side and the end facing vertically on the right being the end on the operating unit S side. As shown in Figure 5, the cap body 5d is fixed to the inner wire 5b outside the end of the outer tube 5a, and when the inner wire 5b advances to its limit toward the drain outlet 1a, as shown in Figure 5(a), the cap body 5d on the operating section S side abuts against the periphery of the opening at the end of the outer tube 5a, thereby closing the opening at the end of the outer tube 5a on the operating section S side. In addition, when the inner wire 5b is retracted to its limit toward the operating section S, the cap body 5d on the drain outlet 1a side abuts against the peripheral edge of the opening at the end of the outer tube 5a, as shown in Figure 5(c), thereby blocking the opening at the end of the outer tube 5a on the drain outlet 1a side. 5(a) or 5(c) when the remote-controlled drain plug device is in use, the end of the outer tube 5a is blocked by the cap body 5d, so that no ventilation occurs through the outer tube 5a and the drainage water in the flow path of the piping section 6 does not flow into the inside of the operating section S through the outer tube 5a. Furthermore, when the drain port 1a is open (when the drain plug 2a is opened), the drainage water as a fluid flowing down the piping section 6 does not enter the outer tube 5a, so the inner wire 5b and outer tube 5a of the release wire 5 are not contaminated by detergent or debris in the drainage water, and breakdown of the release wire 5 can be effectively prevented. In contrast, as shown in Fig. 5(b), when the inner wire 5b is moving from the operation unit S side to the drain outlet 1a side, or conversely, when the inner wire 5b is moving from the drain outlet 1a side to the operation unit S side, both ends of the outer tube 5a are open, so ventilation is possible through the outer tube 5a. On the other hand, in this state, there is a possibility that the drainage water in the flow path of the piping section 6 will flow into the inside of the operation unit S through the outer tube 5a, but in normal use, the state shown in Fig. 5(b) is reached only when the drain outlet 1a is transitioning from an open state to a closed state, or conversely, from a closed state to an open state, and the operation does not end and stop in the state shown in Fig. 5(b). The overflow piping 9 comprises a flexible hose pipe 9a having an elbow pipe 9b connected to the overflow drain O at one end, and an adapter part 9c arranged to cover the periphery of the side hole part 1c of the drain main body 1 at the other end. When installation is completed, hot and cold water flowing into the overflow drain O passes through the elbow pipe 9b, the hose pipe 9a, and the adapter part 9c, and flows into the inside of the drain main body 1 through the side hole part 1c of the drain main body 1. Other components include a plate nut member N with a female thread that screws into the male thread of the drain outlet body 1, and a trap pipe T that connects the lower end of the piping section 6 to the underfloor piping and forms a water sealing section by bending the pipe body into an S shape.

[0014] The remote-controlled drain plug device and drain piping using the release wire 5 configured as described above are installed in the wash basin B of the washstand W as follows. In addition, even if not specified, watertight connections are made at the connection points of each member by appropriate methods such as packing or adhesive as necessary. On the other hand, in this embodiment, the moving part of the mechanism unit 7 that operates in the opening and closing operation of the remote-controlled drain plug device does not have packing for constantly making watertight connections between members. The cap body 5d closes the opening at the end of the release wire 5 as the inner wire 5b advances and retreats, and is not a packing that always abuts against a member to make it watertight, but a type of drain plug that opens and closes the opening by operation. First, the drain outlet body 1 is inserted into the mounting hole H1 of the washbasin B. Next, the adapter part 9c of the overflow piping 9 is inserted from below the drain main body 1, and then the plate nut member N is screwed in so that the periphery of the mounting hole H1 of the washbasin B and the adapter part 9c are clamped between the flange part 1b and the upper surface of the plate nut member N, thereby attaching the drain main body 1 and the adapter part 9c to the washbasin B. Next, after connecting the cylindrical portion of the mechanism 7 to the end of the inner wire 5b on the drain port 1a side, the mechanism 7 and the end of the outer tube 5a are inserted into the insertion portion 6b of the piping portion 6, and the end of the insertion portion 6b is blocked with the blocking member 5c, and the end of the outer tube 5a is fixed to the end of the insertion portion 6b. At this time, as described above, the outer surface of the flange portion of the outer tube 5a abuts against the inner surface of the insertion portion 6b via the penetration portion packing PK, so that the outer tube 5a is connected to the insertion portion 6b in a watertight manner. Next, the upstream end of the piping section 6 is connected to the lower end of the drain main body 1, and further, the downstream end of the piping section 6 is connected to the trap piping T. In addition, the downstream end of the trap piping T is connected to the underfloor piping that leads to the sewer side. Next, the elbow pipe 9b of the overflow piping 9 is connected to the overflow drain outlet O. Next, the operation unit body 3 is connected to the operation unit mounting hole H2. At this time, the upper end of the operation unit body 3 is disposed at a position slightly higher than the upper edge of the washbasin B as shown in FIG. Next, the lower end of the shaft portion 4a of the knob portion 4 inside the operating unit main body 3 is connected to the operating unit S side end of the inner wire 5b, and then the operating unit S side end of the outer tube 5a is watertightly connected to the lower end of the operating unit main body 3. The end of the outer tube 5a on the side of the operating part S is airtightly and watertightly connected to the lower end of the operating part body 3, so the air in the outer tube 5a is released to the atmosphere not at the end of the outer tube 5a but at the upper end of the operating part body 3 connected to the end of the outer tube 5a. As is clear from FIG. 1, the position where the outer tube 5a is released to the atmosphere is higher than the overflow drain outlet O and the upper edge of the washbasin B, which is the tank body. Furthermore, the plug member 2 is placed inside the drain main body 1 from the drain 1a, completing the installation of the remote-controlled drain plug device. In this embodiment, the drainage flow path for discharging hot and cold water from the tank body is from the drain outlet 1a to the drainage piping connected to the sewer side, and the piping section includes not only the above-mentioned T-shaped joint pipe 6, but also the drain outlet 1a, adapter section 9c, piping section 6 including insertion section 6b, and trap piping T connected to the sewer side. Therefore, the outer tube 5a may be connected watertight to any part of the piping section. In addition, the outer tube 5a penetrates the inside and outside of the piping section 6, but the penetration point is watertightly connected by the insertion portion 6b at the end of the outer tube 5a and a portion equipped with a packing PK for the penetration portion on the outer periphery of the flange portion, and this watertightly connected portion is not a part that moves when the drain outlet 1a is opened or closed, so opening and closing the drain outlet 1a does not cause water leakage outside the piping section 6, nor does it cause any problems with the opening and closing operation of the drain outlet 1a.

[0015] A method of using the remote-controlled drain plug device using the release wire 5 of the above embodiment will be described below. When using the remote-controlled drain plug device configured as above, first, as shown in FIG. 2, the valve body is lowered so that the drain plug 2a closes the drain port 1a. At this time, the knob portion 4 is lowered, and the elastic protrusion 3a is engaged with the groove portion 4b above the shaft portion 4a. The inner wire 5b connected to the knob portion 4 advances toward the drain port 1a, and the mechanism portion 7 advances toward the drain port 1a of the piping portion 6 along with the inner wire 5b, and the tip of the push-up portion 7b descends and is located at a position separated downward from the lower end of the shaft portion 2b. In addition, as the inner wire 5b advances, the cap member on the operation portion S side abuts against the end of the outer tube 5a on the operation portion S side as shown in FIG. 5(a) and closes the opening at the end of the outer tube 5a, so that drainage and ventilation from the piping portion 6 do not reach the operation portion main body 3 through the outer tube 5a. In addition, when hot water is poured into washbasin B with drain outlet 1a closed, the hot water accumulates in washbasin B, and when the level of the accumulated hot water reaches the bottom end of overflow drain outlet O, the hot water in washbasin B is discharged from overflow drain outlet O as wastewater. In other words, the height position of overflow drain outlet O is the height position of the overflow surface in washbasin B in this embodiment. The wastewater discharged from overflow drain outlet O passes through elbow pipe 9b, hose pipe 9a, adapter part 9c, horizontal hole part 1c of drain outlet main body 1, and is discharged from inside drain outlet main body 1 through piping part 6 and trap piping T to the sewer side, so that in this washbasin B, wastewater will not accumulate at a position higher than overflow drain outlet O as long as it is used normally. When the knob portion 4 of the operating unit S is pulled up from this state, the groove portion of the shaft portion 4a of the knob portion 4 and the elastic protrusion 3a of the operating unit main body 3 are disengaged, and the inner wire 5b connected to the shaft portion 4a of the knob portion 4 retracts toward the operating unit S along with the shaft portion 4a. At this time, the inner wire 5b moves through the state shown in FIG. 5(b) to the state shown in FIG. 5(c). When the inner wire 5b is in the state shown in Fig. 5(b), both ends of the outer tube 5a are not closed by the cap body 5d. Therefore, the air that was in the insertion portion 6b between the cylindrical portion 7a of the mechanism portion 7 and the end of the outer tube 5a passes through the inside of the outer tube 5a from the end of the outer tube 5a, passes through the end of the outer tube 5a on the operation portion S side, and is exhausted from the upper edge of the operation portion main body 3. When the knob portion 4 is completely pulled up, the inner wire 5b is in the state shown in Fig. 5(c), and the end of the outer tube 5a on the drain port 1a side is blocked by the cap body 5d, but at this point the operation for opening the mechanism portion 7 is completed, and there is no need to exhaust the air between the cylindrical portion 7a and the end of the outer tube 5a, so the blocking by the cap body 5d does not cause any malfunction in the operation of the remote-controlled drain plug device. Also, the side cap body 5d of the drain port 1a forms an inclined surface on the contact surface with the end of the outer tube 5a, so that the adhesion and watertightness with the end of the outer tube 5a are improved, and the drainage water in the piping portion 6 does not enter the outer tube 5a, and there is no risk of the release wire breaking down. When the knob 4 has completed rising, the groove under the shaft 4a is engaged with the elastic projection 3a, and the shaft 4a will not fall unless the knob 4 is operated. At this time, the mechanism 7 retracts to the operating unit S side, and the tip of the push-up portion 7b rises to push up the lower end of the shaft 2b, which causes the entire plug member 2 to rise, so that the drain plug 2a moves away from the drain 1a and rises, opening the drain 1a, as shown in FIG. 3. If hot or cold water is present in the washbasin B, the hot or cold water is discharged from the drain 1a through the inside of the drain body 1, the piping 6, and the trap piping T to the sewer side. At this time, part of the drain flows out from the straight pipe portion 6a of the piping 6 to the insertion portion 6b side, but it does not overflow from the operating unit S side through the outer tube 5a for the following reason. 1. The cap body 5d on the drain outlet 1a side blocks the opening at the end of the outer tube 5a on the drain outlet 1a side, so that wastewater does not flow into the outer tube 5a and therefore does not overflow from the operating section S side. 2. As shown in Figure 1, the upper end of the operating unit main body 3, which is the atmospherically open portion of the operating unit S side of the outer tube 5a, is located above the overflow drain outlet O, which is the overflow surface of the washbasin B, which is the basin body. Even if the cap body 5d does not completely block the end of the outer tube 5a and some of the wastewater flows into the outer tube 5a, the wastewater in the release wire 5 only reaches the height of the overflow drain outlet O, which is the height of the overflow surface of the washbasin B, so the wastewater will not overflow from the operating unit S side, which is open to the atmosphere at the upper end of the operating unit main body 3, which is higher than that. In addition, the side cap body 5d of the drain outlet 1a has an inclined surface on the contact surface with the end of the outer tube 5a, which improves adhesion and watertightness with the end of the outer tube 5a, preventing drainage water passing through the piping section 6 from entering the outer tube 5a and preventing failure of the release wire. From this state, when the knob portion 4 of the operating unit S is pushed and the knob portion 4 is lowered, the groove portion of the shaft portion 4a of the knob portion 4 is disengaged from the elastic protrusion 3a of the operating unit main body 3, and the inner wire 5b connected to the shaft portion 4a of the knob portion 4 advances toward the drain outlet 1a along with the shaft portion 4a, and the release wire 5 moves from the state in Figure 5(c) to the state in Figure 5(b) and then back to the state in Figure 5(a). In order for the mechanism 7 to move smoothly toward the drain outlet 1a in accordance with the movement of the inner wire 5b, air needs to be drawn into the space within the insertion portion 6b from the cylindrical portion 7a of the mechanism 7 to the end of the outer tube 5a in accordance with the movement of the insertion portion 6b. However, as mentioned above, when the inner wire 5b is in the state shown in Figure 5(b), both ends of the outer tube 5a are not blocked by the cap body 5d, so air is drawn from the upper end of the operating unit main body 3, which is the atmospheric open point on the operating unit S side of the outer tube 5a, through the inside of the outer tube 5a, into the space from the cylindrical portion 7a of the mechanism 7 to the end of the outer tube 5a, allowing the mechanism 7 to operate without hindrance. When the inner wire 5b has completed its forward movement and is in the state shown in Figure 5(a), the end of the outer tube 5a is blocked by the cap body 5d. However, at this point the operation for closing the mechanism part 7 has been completed and there is no need to vent the air between the cylindrical part 7a and the end of the outer tube 5a, so the blockage by the cap body 5d does not cause any malfunction in the operation of the remote-controlled drain plug device. When the knob 4 has finished descending, the groove above the shaft 4a engages with the elastic projection 3a, and the shaft 4a will not rise unless the knob 4 is operated. At this time, the mechanism 7 advances toward the drain outlet 1a, the tip of the push-up portion 7b descends, support for the lower end of the shaft 2b is lost, and the entire plug member 2 descends, causing the drain plug 2a to come into contact with the drain outlet 1a, closing the drain outlet 1a and returning to the state shown in Fig. 2. When the drain plug 2a is closed, no wastewater passes through the piping 6, or passes through only when the tank body overflows. However, because the amount of wastewater is extremely small compared to when the drain plug 2a is open, wastewater will not enter the outer tube 5a even if the end of the outer tube 5a is released. Thereafter, by pushing or pulling up the knob portion 4 of the operating portion S, the drain outlet 1a can be opened or closed by remote control at a position separated from the drain plug 2a. As is clear from the above description, the remote-controlled drain plug device of this embodiment is a remote-controlled drain plug device that opens and closes the drain plug 2a to the drain outlet 1a by moving the mechanism part 7 back and forth within the insertion part 6b.

[0016] Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The release wire 5 of the second embodiment of the present invention shown in Figures 6 to 10 is used in a remote-controlled drain plug device that is adopted for the wash basin B of the wash basin W as a tank body. The wash basin W and the remote-controlled drain plug device are composed of components such as a drain main body 1, a piping section 6, a support member 8 equipped with a mechanism section 7, an operating section S, a plug member 2, a release wire 5, an overflow piping 9, a plate nut member N, and a trap piping T, which are described below. Of these, the explanations for the washbasin W, drain main body 1, plug member 2, overflow piping 9, and plate nut member N are omitted as they are the same as those for the same members in the first embodiment, and only the piping section 6, support member 8 equipped with a mechanism section 7, operating section S, and release wire 5 of the present invention will be explained below. The piping section 6 is a piping member of a T-shaped joint pipe connected to the drain main body 1, and is composed of a straight pipe section 6a equipped with a nut member at the upper end, and an insertion section 6b, which is a branch pipe section provided on the side of the straight pipe section 6a for inserting a release wire 5 described later. The inner surface of the upper end of the straight pipe section 6a is configured so that a support member 8 described later can be fitted into it. The support member 8 is a member that is arranged on the upper inner circumference of the straight pipe section 6a of the piping section 6, and is composed of a mechanical section 7 consisting of a mechanical section main body 7c and a push-up shaft 7d, and a ring portion 8a and an arm portion for positioning and fixing the mechanical section 7 within the piping section 6. The mechanism body 7c is a cylindrical part, and houses a columnar push-up shaft 7d inside so that it can move up and down, and the end of the outer tube 5a is connected to its lower end. However, the connection between the mechanism body 7c and the end of the outer tube 5a is only such that it will not come loose due to the operation of the remote-controlled drain plug device. Therefore, drainage and ventilation can pass inside and outside through the joint between the outer tube 5a and the mechanism body 7c, or from inside the mechanism body 7c to inside the outer tube 5a. In addition, if drainage and ventilation are necessary for the operation of the remote-controlled drain plug device, unevenness may be provided at the end of the outer tube 5a or the abutting point of the mechanism body 7c to intentionally allow ventilation and water to pass through. The push-up shaft 7d is a roughly cylindrical member that is housed and arranged inside the mechanism main body 7c, and is equipped with a mechanism that utilizes gears or the like between it and the inside of the mechanism main body 7c. Each time a push-up operation is performed at its lower end, it is configured to alternately lock itself in an upward protruding state, release the lock, and then descend under its own weight. The combination of the mechanism body 7c and the push-up shaft 7d constitutes the mechanism 7 which pushes up the plug member 2 to open the drain outlet 1a. The ring portion 8a is a circular ring body, and is configured to fit onto the inner peripheral surface of the upper end of the straight pipe portion 6a of the piping portion 6 when installation is completed. The arm portion (not shown) is a rib piece that connects the ring portion 8a and the mechanism main body 7c, and supports the mechanism main body 7c in the center of the ring portion 8a so that wastewater can pass between the mechanism main body 7c and the ring portion 8a. The operation unit S is composed of an approximately cylindrical operation unit main body 3 and a knob portion 4 having an axis portion 4a which is operated by pushing up and down inside the operation unit main body 3. In this embodiment, the axis portion 4a is fixed to an end of an inner wire 5b which will be described later, and after the axis portion 4a is inserted into the operation unit main body 3, a knob for gripping is fixed to the upper end of the axis portion 4a to form the knob portion 4. The end of the release wire 5 on the side of the operating section S is connected so as to be sealed to the lower end of the operating section main body 3. A gap is formed between the shaft portion 4a and the inner surface of the operating section main body 3 to allow ventilation to the extent that operation of the remote controlled drain plug device is not hindered, and the air inside the outer tube 5a passes through the gap between the shaft portion 4a and the operating section main body 3 and is configured to be released to the atmosphere from the upper end of the operating section main body 3. The release wire 5 is made up of an outer tube 5a having a cylindrical shape and rigidity in the axial direction and flexibility in the lateral direction, an inner wire 5b made of a twisted metal wire having rigidity in the axial direction and flexibility in the lateral direction, which advances and retreats within the outer tube 5a, a blocking member 5c which blocks the end of the insertion part 6b provided while inserted into the outer tube 5a, and a return spring (not shown) which causes the inner wire 5b to retreat toward the operating part S with respect to the outer tube 5a. The blocking member 5c is equipped with a penetration part packing PK for ensuring watertightness of the end of the insertion part 6b and the penetration part of the outer tube 5a, and this penetration part packing PK connects the outer tube 5a to the inner peripheral surface of the insertion part 6b in a watertight manner. The end of the insertion part 6b and the penetration part of the outer tube 5a are not parts which operate in the opening and closing operation of the remote-controlled drain plug device, so even if these parts are connected watertight and airtight, no malfunction or the like will occur in the operation of the remote-controlled drain plug device. The end of the inner wire 5b on the drain port 1a side is exposed to the drainage water passing through the piping section 6. At this time, if the end of the inner wire 5b on the drain port 1a side is even partially exposed within the piping section 6, it will be exposed to the drainage water. A step 5e is formed on the inner surface of the end of the outer tube 5a on the drain outlet 1a side, a rod shaft 5f made of a hard rod-shaped body is provided at the end of the inner wire 5b on the drain outlet 1a side, and a cap body 5d made of an elastic body is provided at the end of the rod shaft 5f on the operating section S side as a cap mechanism for closing the opening of the end of the outer tube 5a. In this embodiment, the cap body 5d is made of an elastic body, but the material is not particularly limited. For example, it may be made of a hard resin material or metal material, or it may be made of a hard resin material or metal material with a packing as a watertight member. The cap body 5d will be described in detail with reference to Figure 10. Figure 10 is a reference diagram showing the operation of the release wire 5 when the remote-controlled drain plug device is in operation, with the end having the rod portion on the left being the end on the drain outlet 1a side and the end having the knob portion 4 on the right being the end on the operating section S side. The cap body 5d is disposed at the end of the rod shaft 5f on the side of the operating section S, as shown in Fig. 10. When the inner wire 5b is retracted to the limit towards the operating section S, the rear end of the rod shaft 5f, i.e., the cap body 5d on the drain outlet 1a side, comes into contact with the periphery of the opening of the step portion 5e inside the outer tube 5a, as shown in Fig. 10(a), and is configured to close the opening of the end of the outer tube 5a on the side of the drain outlet 1a. 10(a), when the remote-controlled drain plug device is in use, the end of the outer tube 5a is blocked by the cap body 5d, so that no ventilation occurs through the outer tube 5a and the drainage water in the flow path of the piping section 6 does not flow into the inside of the operating section S through the outer tube 5a. In contrast, when the inner wire 5b is moving forward toward the drain outlet 1a as shown in Figure 10(c), or when the inner wire 5b is moving from the operating unit S side toward the drain outlet 1a as shown in Figure 10(b), or conversely, when the inner wire 5b is moving from the drain outlet 1a side to the operating unit S side, even if a part of the rod shaft 5f is positioned within the outer tube 5a, both ends of the outer tube 5a are open, so air can be ventilated through the outer tube 5a. On the other hand, if the state is as shown in Figure 10(b) or Figure 10(c), there is a possibility that the drainage water in the flow path of the piping section will flow into the inside of the operating section S through the outer tube 5a. However, since the inner wire 5b is constantly biased to retract toward the operating section S by the action of the return spring, the state will be almost as shown in Figure 10(a) except for a short time for the opening and closing operation of the drain outlet 1a.

[0017] The remote-controlled drain plug device and drain piping using the release wire 5 configured as described above are installed in the wash basin B of the washstand W as follows. Next, the end of the inner wire 5b on the drain port 1a side is passed through the insertion portion 6b and pulled up from the upper end of the straight pipe portion 6a. Next, the release wire 5 is connected to the lower end of the mechanism body 7c of the support member 8. As a result, the end of the outer tube 5a is connected and fixed to the lower end of the mechanism body 7c, and the rod portion of the end of the inner wire 5b is disposed below the push-up shaft 7d. Next, the ring portion 8a of the support member 8 is fitted onto the upper end inner surface of the straight pipe portion 6a of the piping portion 6, and the support member 8 is positioned and fixed to the piping portion 6, and the end of the insertion portion 6b is blocked with the blocking member 5c. At this time, as described above, the end of the insertion portion 6b and the portion of the blocking member 5c that penetrates the outer tube 5a are connected watertight and airtight by the packing PK for the penetration portion. Next, the shaft portion 4a of the knob portion 4 is inserted into the operation portion main body 3 from below, and the end portion of the outer tube 5a on the operation portion S side is watertightly connected to the lower end of the operation portion main body 3. In addition, the knob of the knob portion 4 is fixed to the upper end of the shaft portion 4a of the knob portion 4. 6, the position of the outer tube 5a that is released to the atmosphere is higher than the overflow drain outlet O and the upper edge of the washbasin B, which is the tank body. Also, the inner wire 5b retracts toward the operating portion S due to the action of the return spring, and the end of the inner wire 5b on the operating portion S side abuts against the lower end of the shaft of the knob portion 4, pushing the knob portion 4 upward. In addition, the outer tube 5a penetrates the inside and outside of the piping section 6, but the penetration points are the penetration portion of the blocking member 5c of the release wire 5 and the end of the insertion portion 6b, and are watertight sealed by the packing PK for the penetration portion.Furthermore, this watertight connected portion is not a part that moves when the drain outlet 1a is opened and closed, so that opening and closing of the drain outlet 1a does not cause water leakage outside the piping section 6, and no problems occur with the opening and closing operation of the drain outlet 1a.

[0018] A method of using the remote-controlled drain plug device using the release wire of the above embodiment will be described below. When using the remote-controlled drain plug device configured as above, first, as shown in Figure 7, the valve body is lowered so that the drain plug 2a closes the drain outlet 1a. At this time, the push-up shaft 7d of the mechanism 7 is in a lowered state, and the inner wire 5b is retracted toward the operating section S due to the action of the return spring, pushing the knob section 4 upward. Also, because the inner wire 5b is retracted, the cap member on the drain outlet 1a side abuts against the step 5e of the outer tube 5a as shown in Figure 10(a) to close the opening at the end of the outer tube 5a, so that drainage and ventilation from the piping section do not reach the operating section main body 3 via the outer tube 5a. When the knob portion 4 of the operating unit S is pushed from this state, the shaft portion 4a of the knob portion 4 descends, causing the inner wire 5b to move forward toward the drain outlet 1a, and the rod portion at the end of the inner wire 5b on the drain outlet 1a side pushes up the lower end of the push-up shaft 7d of the mechanism portion 7, raising the push-up shaft 7d. At this time, the inner wire 5b moves through the state shown in FIG. 10(b) to the state shown in FIG. 10(c). When the inner wire 5b is in the state shown in Fig. 10(b) or 10(c), the drain port 1a side end of the outer tube 5a is not blocked by the cap body 5d. Therefore, air passes through the inside of the outer tube 5a from the operation unit S side end of the outer tube 5a into the gap space generated in the mechanism body 7c by the lifting of the push-up shaft 7d of the mechanism 7, and is supplied into the mechanism body 7c. In addition, if the connection between the outer tube 5a and the mechanism body 7c is not sealed, air and drainage water are supplied to the gap space from this joint and fill the gap space inside the mechanism body 7c, so there is no problem with the lifting of the push-up shaft 7d. By pushing up the rod portion at the end of the inner wire 5b onto the lower end of the push-up shaft 7d, the push-up shaft 7d is fixed in an upward protruding state, and the shaft portion 2b that was above the push-up shaft 7d is pushed up by the push-up shaft 7d, causing the entire plug member 2 to rise upward. In addition, because the mechanism portion 7 fixes the push-up shaft 7d in a pushed-up state, even if the user finishes operating the knob portion 4 and releases it, the push-up shaft 7d remains fixed in the raised position. When the user finishes pushing the knob 4 and releases it, the return spring causes the inner wire 5b to return from the state shown in FIG. 10(c) to the state shown in FIG. 10(b) and then to the state shown in FIG. 10(a). The end of the outer tube 5a on the drain outlet 1a side, i.e., the opening of the step portion 5e, is blocked by the cap body 5d, but at this point the operation of the mechanism part 7 to open the drain outlet 1a has been completed and there is no need to draw air into the mechanism part 7, so the blockage by the cap body 5d does not cause any malfunction in the operation of the remotely operated drain plug device. As described above, the tip of the push-up shaft 7d of the mechanism 7 pushes up the lower end of the shaft 2b, and as the shaft 2b is pushed up, the entire plug member 2 rises, causing the drain plug 2a to rise and separate from the drain 1a, opening the drain 1a as shown in Figure 8. If hot or cold water is present in the washbasin B, the hot or cold water is discharged from the drain 1a through the inside of the drain main body 1, the piping 6, and the trap piping T to the sewer side. At this time, some of the drainage water flows into the outer tube 5a, the end of which is located at the straight pipe section 6a of the piping 6, but it does not overflow from the operating unit S side through the outer tube 5a for the following reasons. 1. The cap body 5d on the drain outlet 1a side blocks the opening at the end of the outer tube 5a on the drain outlet 1a side, i.e., the opening on the periphery of the step portion 5e, so that drainage water does not flow into the inside of the outer tube 5a, and therefore drainage water does not overflow from the operating section S side. 2. As shown in Figure 6, the upper end of the operating unit main body 3, which is the atmospherically open portion of the operating unit S side of the outer tube 5a, is located above the overflow drain outlet O, which is the overflow surface of the washbasin B, which is the basin body. When the knob 4 of the operating unit S is pushed from this state, the inner wire 5b is advanced toward the drain outlet 1a so as to change from the state of FIG. 10(a) to the state of FIG. 10(b) via the state of FIG. 10(c), the rear end of the push-up shaft 7d is pushed up, and the fixation of the push-up shaft 7d is released. When the user releases the push on the knob 4 of the operating unit S, the inner wire 5b retracts toward the operating unit S due to the action of the return spring, and moves from the state of FIG. 10(c) to the state of FIG. 10(b) again to the state of FIG. 10(a). The released push-up shaft 7d descends, and support for the lower end of the shaft 2b is lost, causing the entire plug member 2 to descend, so that the drain plug 2a comes into contact with the drain outlet 1a, closing the drain outlet 1a, and returning to the state of FIG. 7. Furthermore, when the drain plug 2a is closed, no wastewater passes through the piping section 6, or the wastewater passes through only when the tank body overflows. However, since the amount of wastewater is extremely small compared to when the drain plug 2a is open, the wastewater will not enter the outer tube 5a even if the end of the outer tube 5a is open. In order for the push-up shaft 7d to smoothly descend within the mechanism body 7c, it is necessary for the air and wastewater from the mechanism body 7c to be discharged in accordance with the descent of the push-up shaft 7d, but as described above, when the inner wire 5b is in the state shown in Fig. 10(b) or 10(c), both ends of the outer tube 5a are not blocked by the cap body 5d, so that the air and wastewater from within the mechanism body 7c are discharged into the outer tube 5a through the inside of the outer tube 5a from the upper end of the operation unit body 3, which is the atmospheric opening part of the outer tube 5a on the operation unit S side, and the air of that volume is discharged from the end of the outer tube 5a, allowing the mechanism 7 to operate without hindrance. Also, if the connection between the outer tube 5a and the mechanism body 7c is not sealed, the air and wastewater are discharged from this joint into the piping, so there is no problem with the rise of the push-up shaft 7d. When the inner wire 5b has completed its operation and is in the state shown in Figure 10(a), the end of the outer tube 5a is blocked by the cap body 5d. At this point, the operation for closing the mechanism part 7 is completed, and the blocking by the cap body 5d does not cause any malfunction in the operation of the remotely operated drain plug device. Thereafter, by pressing the knob portion 4 of the operation portion S, the drain outlet 1a can be remotely opened and closed at a position separated from the drain plug 2a.

[0019] Although the embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and can be freely modified within the scope of the present invention. For example, in the above embodiment, the remote-controlled drain plug device in which the release wire is used is the wash basin B of the wash basin W, but the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and may be used in a remote-controlled drain plug device used in a bathtub, a sink, etc. Also, the remote-controlled drain plug device may be used in products other than drain plug devices. In the above embodiment, the closing mechanism is a cap mechanism, but the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and the closing mechanism may be configured with a watertight member as shown in Fig. 11, through which the inner wire 5b passes without being hindered from moving forward and backward. In this embodiment, as shown in Fig. 11(a), a plurality of slits are formed in the center of the watertight member, and the inner wire 5b passes through the slits freely to move forward and backward, thereby operating normally. Fig. 11(b) shows the inner wire 5b when it moves backward, and Fig. 11(c) shows the inner wire 5b when it moves forward. Also, as shown in Fig. 12, a possible blocking mechanism is one in which a hole with a diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the inner wire 5b is formed in the center of a bellows-shaped watertight member, and the inner wire 5b passes through and is fixed in place in the hole of the bellows-shaped watertight member so that the watertight member expands and contracts in accordance with the advancement and retreat of the inner wire 5b, allowing normal operation without the advancement and retreat of the inner wire 5b being hindered by the watertight member. Note that Fig. 12a) shows the case when the inner wire 5b retreats, and Fig. 12b) shows the case when the inner wire 5b advances. Although not shown, the end of the outer tube 5a may be permanently closed with a rubber bush or the like. The embodiment shown in these Figs. 11 and 12 is an embodiment showing a closing mechanism that constantly closes the end of the outer tube 5a. There are various types of remote-controlled drain plug devices, such as those in which the drain outlet 1a opens when the inner wire 5b advances and closes when it retracts, those in which the inner wire 5b opens when it retracts and opens when it advances, those in which the inner wire 5b advances only when the opening / closing operation is performed and retracts after the operation is completed, and those in which the inner wire 5b continues to maintain the advanced or retracted state. These can be changed or adjusted as appropriate to suit the opening and closing structure of the remote-controlled drain plug device, such as by changing the position and material of the cap body 5d, or by slightly expanding and contracting in the axial direction of the inner wire 5b according to the operation of the mechanism section 7.
