Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a powder granulated product, and to a cosmetic preparation and a cleansing preparation containing said powder granulated product. [Background technology]

[0002] By incorporating the powder granules into cosmetics or cleansing agents, it is possible to impart a distinctive appearance and a scrubbing effect, and it is also possible to incorporate various foam quality improvers or drugs, which are difficult to incorporate directly into cosmetics or cleansing agents, via the powder granules. However, when powdered granules are blended into cosmetics or cleansing agents, the specific gravities of the cosmetics or cleansing agents differ from those of the powdered granules, so that the powdered granules tend to float or sink in the cosmetics or cleansing agents during preparation, making it difficult to blend the powdered granules stably.

[0003] Therefore, the applicant of the present application has conducted extensive research and has previously proposed a powder granulation product containing (A) 25-75% by mass of silicone powder having a specific gravity of 0.8-1.0, (B) 20-70% by mass of cellulose powder, and (C) 1-5% by mass of ethyl cellulose (see Patent Document 1). The proposed powder granulation product has the excellent characteristics of being less irritating to the skin and being easy to adjust so that the specific gravity of the powder granulation product is equivalent to that of liquid components of cleansing agents, or liquid, emulsion, gel, or cream preparations, or soap liquid before cooling and solidifying of soap produced by a framing method. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0004] [Patent Document 1] Patent No. 6074492 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0005] However, the silicone powder contained in the powder granule described in Patent Document 1 is not biodegradable and remains in the environment, which may limit its use. Furthermore, Patent Document 1 does not mention the inclusion of a usability improver such as highly polymerized polyethylene glycol to improve the usability of hair treatment liquids and the like.

[0006] By blending a usability improver such as highly polymerized polyethylene glycol into a hair treatment liquid, it is possible to improve usability such as smoothness of hair when runny fingers through the hair and manageability of hair. However, blending a high concentration of a usability improver such as highly polymerized polyethylene glycol into a hair treatment liquid causes thickening and stringiness, and therefore the usability improver cannot be blended in high concentration, resulting in a problem that a sufficient usability improvement effect cannot be obtained.

[0007] The present invention aims to solve the above-mentioned problems in the prior art and to achieve the following objects: That is, the present invention aims to provide a powder granulated product which is excellent in granulation properties, in-kettle stability during production, and storage stability, and which allows a usability improver to be blended in a high concentration in a cosmetic or cleansing agent, and a cosmetic and cleansing agent whose usability has been improved by blending said powder granulated product. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0014] (Powder granules) The powder granulated product of the present invention contains (A) a powder component, (B) a usability improver, and (C) a binder, and preferably contains (D) an inorganic powder, and further contains other components as necessary.

[0015] In the present invention, the use of a powder granulated product containing a usability improver provides the following particularly remarkable effects. (1) When a cosmetic or cleansing agent containing the powder granules is stored, the usability improver can be stably maintained in the powder granules for a long period of time. On the other hand, when the cosmetic or cleansing agent is used (when washing hair), the powder granules disintegrate, allowing the usability improver to act and provide usability improving effects such as ease of running fingers through hair, combing, and manageability of hair. (2) The powder granules containing the usability improver are stable and do not disintegrate during the production of cosmetics or cleansing agents, so thickening or stringiness does not occur in the production vessel, improving productivity. (3) By blending a powdered granule containing a high concentration of a usability enhancer into a cosmetic or cleansing agent, thickening or stringiness does not occur as occurs when a high concentration of a usability enhancer is blended directly into the cosmetic or cleansing agent. This allows the cosmetic or cleansing agent to be blended with a high concentration of the usability enhancer, thereby improving usability.

[0016] <(A) Powder components> As the powder component (A), at least one of (A-1) an amino acid derivative and (A-2) a wax having a melting point of 100° C. or higher is used.

[0017] When an amino acid derivative (A-1) is used as the powder component (A), the amino acid derivative (A-1) may be used alone, or the amino acid derivative (A-1) may be used in combination with a wax (A-2) having a melting point of 100°C or higher. When (A-2) a wax having a melting point of 100°C or higher is used as the (A) powder component, (A-2) a wax having a melting point of 100°C or higher may be used alone, or (A-1) an amino acid derivative and (A-2) a wax having a melting point of 100°C or higher may be used in combination. When (A-2) a wax having a melting point of 100° C. or higher is used alone as the powder component (A), it is preferred that it further contains (D) an inorganic powder.

[0018] -(A-1) Amino acid derivative- The (A-1) amino acid derivative is a compound obtained by dehydration condensation of a higher fatty acid and an amino acid, and examples thereof include lauroyl lysine, caproyl lysine, etc. Among these, lauroyl lysine is particularly preferred from the viewpoint of granulation properties. Lauroyl lysine is an amide of lauric acid and lysine, represented by the following structural formula:

[0019] [ka]

[0020] Lauroyl lysine is a layered powder having a structure in which thin hexagonal plate-like crystals are layered, and the average particle size of lauroyl lysine is preferably 30 μm or less, and more preferably 20 to 30 μm. Commercially available lauroyl lysine products include, for example, Amihope (registered trademark) LL (manufactured by Ajinomoto Co., Inc.).

[0021] -(A-2) Wax with a melting point of 100°C or higher that is a powder component- The wax (A-2) having a melting point of 100° C. or higher is not particularly limited as long as it has a melting point of 100° C. or higher, but is preferably a synthetic wax. Examples of synthetic waxes include hydrocarbon waxes (eg, paraffin wax, microcrystalline wax, etc.). The average particle size of the synthetic wax is preferably from 1 to 30 μm, and more preferably from 10 to 30 μm.

[0022] <(B) Usability improver> When the (B) usability improver is incorporated into a hair care product such as a hair treatment, it can improve usability such as ease of running fingers through hair, ease of combing, and manageability of hair. Also, when incorporated into a soap composition, it can improve usability such as foam quality (foam durability, foam elasticity, etc.). (B) Examples of the usability improver include polyethylene glycol, cationic guar gum, cationic cellulose, etc. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more. Among these, highly polymerized polyethylene glycol is particularly preferred because of its high usability improvement effect.

[0023] Cationic guar gum is a cationic polymer obtained by adding cationic groups to guar gum. Examples of cationic guar gum include guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride and hydroxypropyl guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride.

[0024] Examples of cationic cellulose include polyquaternium-4 (hydroxyethylcellulose dimethyldiallylammonium chloride), polyquaternium-10 (O-[2-hydroxy-3-(trimethylammonio)propyl]hydroxyethylcellulose chloride), and hydroxyethylcellulose dimethyldiallylammonium chloride copolymer.

[0025] The average degree of polymerization of the polyethylene oxide constituting the highly polymerized polyethylene glycol is preferably at least 5,000, more preferably at least 10,000, and even more preferably at least 30,000. The average degree of polymerization of the polyethylene oxide is preferably at most 200,000, and more preferably at most 100,000. The weight average molecular weight of the highly polymerized polyethylene glycol is, for example, preferably 80,000 or more and 7,000,000 or less, and more preferably 100,000 or more and 5,000,000 or less.

[0026] Examples of highly polymerized polyethylene glycols include PEG-45M (average degree of polymerization 45,000, weight average molecular weight about 2,000,000), PEG-65M (average degree of polymerization 65,000, weight average molecular weight about 2,900,000), PEG-90M (average degree of polymerization 90,000, weight average molecular weight about 4,000,000), PEG-115M (average degree of polymerization 115,000, weight average molecular weight about 5,000,000), and PEG-160M (average degree of polymerization 160,000, weight average molecular weight about 7,000,000). These may be used alone or in combination of two or more.

[0027] The content of the (B) usability improver is preferably 5 to 25% by mass, more preferably 5 to 20% by mass, and even more preferably 10 to 20% by mass, based on the total amount of the powder granules. If the content of the usability improver is less than 5% by mass, the usability improvement effect may not be obtained even if the powder granules are blended into a cosmetic or cleansing agent. On the other hand, if the content of the usability improver exceeds 25% by mass, the usability improvement effect may not be obtained, and the stability in the kettle during production and the appearance during blending may be deteriorated.

[0028] <(C) Binder> (C) Examples of the binder include ethyl cellulose, vinyl acetate resin, gum arabic, xanthan gum, carrageenan, etc. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more. [0029] The content of the binder is preferably 1 to 10% by mass, more preferably 1 to 5% by mass, based on the total amount of the powder granulated product. If the content of the binder is less than 1% by mass, the binding effect is weak, and the storage stability of the powder granulated product may be impaired (it may become easily disintegrated). On the other hand, if the content of the binder is more than 10% by mass, the binding effect may be too strong, and the granulation property may be reduced.

[0030] <(D) Inorganic powder> (D) Examples of inorganic powders include talc, sericite, mica, titanium mica, titanium oxide, kaolin, and silicates. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more. Among these, talc is preferred because it provides a good feel when the powder granule is held in the hand.

[0031] The average particle size of the inorganic powder is preferably from 1 to 30 μm, and more preferably from 1 to 10 μm. The content of the inorganic powder is preferably 5 to 20% by mass, more preferably 10 to 20% by mass, based on the total amount of the powder granules. If the content of the inorganic powder is less than 5% by mass, the specific gravity of the powder granules is small, and the powder granules may float when blended in a cosmetic or cleansing agent. On the other hand, if the content of the inorganic powder is more than 20% by mass, the powder granules may dissolve or aggregate in the cosmetic or cleansing agent, or may rise or sink significantly when blended in the cosmetic or cleansing agent.

[0032] When (A-1) an amino acid derivative is used alone as (A) the powder component, it is preferable that the powder component contains 70 to 90 mass % of (A-1) an amino acid derivative, 5 to 25 mass % of (B) a usability improver, and 1 to 10 mass % of (C) a binder. If the content of the (A-1) amino acid derivative is less than 70% by mass, the powder granules may dissolve or aggregate, or float or settle slightly in the cosmetic or cleansing agent when blended with the cosmetic or cleansing agent. On the other hand, if the content of the (A-1) amino acid derivative is more than 90% by mass and the content of the (B) usability improver is less than 5% by mass, the usability improvement effect may not be obtained even if the powder granules are blended with the cosmetic or cleansing agent. Also, if the content of the (A-1) amino acid derivative is more than 90% by mass and the content of the (C) binder is less than 1% by mass, the binding effect is weakened, and the stability of the powder granules may be impaired (they may become easily disintegrated).

[0033] When (A-1) an amino acid derivative and (A-2) a wax having a melting point of 100°C or higher are used in combination as the (A) powder component, the powder preferably contains 60 to 80 mass% of (A-1) an amino acid derivative, 1 to 10 mass% of (A-2) a wax having a melting point of 100°C or higher, 5 to 25 mass% of (B) a usability improver, and 1 to 10 mass% of (C) a binder. If the content of the (A-1) amino acid derivative is less than 60% by mass, the powder granules may dissolve or aggregate, or float or settle slightly in the cosmetic or cleansing agent when blended with the cosmetic or cleansing agent. On the other hand, if the content of the (A-1) amino acid derivative is more than 80% by mass and the content of the (B) usability improver is less than 5% by mass, the usability improvement effect may not be obtained even if the powder granules are blended with the cosmetic or cleansing agent. Also, if the content of the (A-1) amino acid derivative is more than 80% by mass and the content of the (C) binder is less than 1% by mass, the binding effect is weakened, and the stability of the powder granules may be impaired (they may become easily disintegrated). Furthermore, if the content of (A-2) wax having a melting point of 100°C or higher exceeds 10% by mass, when the powder granules are blended with a cosmetic or cleansing agent, the powder granules may dissolve or aggregate, or float or sink slightly in the cosmetic or cleansing agent.

[0034] When (A-2) a wax having a melting point of 100°C or higher is used alone as (A) the powder component, it is preferable that (D) an inorganic powder is further contained, and the composition contains 65 to 85 mass % of (A-2) a wax having a melting point of 100°C or higher, 5 to 25 mass % of (B) a usability improver, 1 to 10 mass % of (C) a binder, and 5 to 20 mass % of (D) the inorganic powder. If the content of (A-2) wax having a melting point of 100°C or higher is less than 65% by mass, the powder granules may dissolve or aggregate, or rise or sink significantly, in the cosmetic or cleansing agent when blended with the cosmetic or cleansing agent. On the other hand, if the content of (A-2) wax having a melting point of 100°C or higher exceeds 85% by mass and the content of (B) usability improver is less than 5% by mass, the usability improvement effect may not be obtained even if the powder granules are blended with the cosmetic or cleansing agent. Also, if the content of (A-2) wax having a melting point of 100°C or higher exceeds 85% by mass and the content of (C) binder is less than 1% by mass, the binding effect is weakened, and the stability of the powder granules may be impaired (they may become easily disintegrated). Furthermore, if the content of (A-2) wax having a melting point of 100°C or higher exceeds 85% by mass and the content of (D) inorganic powder is less than 5% by mass, the specific gravity of the powder granules will be small, and the powder granules may float when blended into a cosmetic or cleanser.

[0062] The results in Table 5 show that a powder granulation material containing (A) 70 to 90 mass % of an amino acid derivative as a powder component, (B) 5 to 25 mass % of a usability improver, and (C) 1 to 10 mass % of a binder has good granulation properties, and the evaluation results of a soap composition and a hair treatment liquid containing the powder granulation material were all good. Therefore, it was found that the content of highly polymerized polyethylene glycol (PEG-90M) as a usability improver is preferably 5 to 25 mass % based on the total amount of the powder granulated product.

[0063] (Test Examples 3-1 to 3-7) (B) As a usability improver, six types shown in Table 3 above were used, and powder granules were prepared using the components (A) to (D) or the components (A), (C) and (D) shown in Table 6 in the same manner as in Test Examples 1-1 to 1-7, and the granulation properties were evaluated. The hair treatment liquid containing the obtained powder granules was evaluated for stability in the kettle during production, appearance during blending, ease of running hair through the fingers, and hair manageability. The results are shown in Table 6.

[0064] [Table 6]

[0065] From the results in Table 6, Test Example 3-2, which used guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride as a usability improver, and Test Example 3-3, which used polyquaternium-10 as a usability improver, both showed good hair combing. Test Example 3-6, which used highly polymerized polyethylene glycol (PEG-90M) as a usability improver, showed good hair combing and manageability. Therefore, it was found that guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, polyquaternium-10, and highly polymerized polyethylene glycol (PEG-90M) are suitable usability improvers, with highly polymerized polyethylene glycol (PEG-90M) being particularly suitable.

[0066] (Test Examples 3-1, 3-6, and 4-1 to 4-6) Highly polymerized polyethylene glycol was used as a usability improver, and powder granules were prepared in the same manner as in Test Examples 1-1 to 1-7 according to the composition shown in Table 7, and the granulation properties were evaluated. The results are shown in Table 7. The soap compositions containing the obtained powder granules were evaluated for stability in the kettle during production, appearance during blending, and foam quality. The results are shown in Table 7. The hair treatment liquid containing the obtained powder granules was evaluated for stability in the kettle during production, appearance during blending, ease of running hair through the fingers, and hair manageability. The results are shown in Table 7.

[0067] [Table 7]

[0068] The results in Table 7 show that the powder granulation material containing (A) 65 to 85 mass% of the powder component hydrocarbon wax, (B) 5 to 25 mass% of the usability improver, (C) 5 mass% of the binder, and (D) 5 mass% of talc has good granulation properties, and the evaluation results of the soap composition and hair treatment liquid containing the powder granulation material were all good. Therefore, it was found that the content of highly polymerized polyethylene glycol (PEG-90M) as a usability improver is preferably 5 to 25 mass % based on the total amount of the powder granulated product.

[0069] (Test Examples 1-1, and 5-1 to 5-7) Highly polymerized polyethylene glycol was used as a usability improver, and powder granules were prepared in the same manner as in Test Examples 1-1 to 1-7 according to the composition shown in Table 8, and the granulation properties were evaluated. The results are shown in Table 8. The soap compositions containing the obtained powder granules were evaluated for stability in the kettle during production, appearance during blending, and foam quality. The results are shown in Table 8. The hair treatment liquid containing the obtained powder granules was evaluated for stability in the kettle during production, appearance during blending, ease of running hair through the fingers, and manageability of hair. The results are shown in Table 8.

[0070] [Table 8]

[0071] The results in Table 8 show that a powder granulation material containing 60 to 80 mass % of (A-1) amino acid derivative, 10 mass % of (A-2) hydrocarbon wax, 5 to 25 mass % of (B) usability improver, and 5 mass % of (C) ethyl cellulose has good granulation properties, and the evaluation results of soap compositions and hair treatment liquids containing the powder granulation material were all good. Therefore, it was found that the content of (B) highly polymerized polyethylene glycol (PEG-90M) as a usability improver is preferably 5 to 25 mass % based on the total amount of the powder granulated product.

[0072] (Prescription Examples 1-5) The hair treatment liquids of Formulation Examples 1 to 4, which contain the powder granulated products of Test Examples 2 to 4, are shown in Table 9 below. Formulation Example 5 is a hair treatment liquid containing highly polymerized polyethylene glycol (PEG-90M) instead of the powder granulated product. The viscosity of the obtained hair treatment liquid at the time of disintegration of the powder granules and the viscosity before and after storage were measured to evaluate the storage stability as described below. In addition, the hair treatment liquid after storage was evaluated for the ease of running fingers through the hair and the manageability of the hair in the same manner as described above. The results are shown in Table 9.

[0073] <Storage stability> 95 ml of the obtained hair treatment liquid was placed in a 100 ml sealed container with a lid and stored in a thermostatic bath at 50°C for 30 days. The viscosity at 25°C before and after storage was measured using a viscometer, and the rate of change in viscosity was calculated using the following formula 1, and the storage stability was evaluated according to the following criteria. [Formula 1] Viscosity change rate (%) = [(viscosity after storage - viscosity before storage) / (viscosity before storage)] x 100% [Evaluation Criteria] ○: Viscosity change rate is less than ±10% ×: Viscosity change rate is ±10% or more

[0074] <Viscosity of powder granules when they disintegrate> The hair treatment liquids of Formulation Examples 1 to 4 containing the powder granules were vigorously stirred at 75°C for 30 minutes or more, and after confirming that the granules had disintegrated (dissolved), the viscosity of the powder granules at the time of disintegration was measured.

[0075] -Hair treatment liquid-

[0076] [Table 9]

[0077] From the results in Table 9, it was found that in Formulation Examples 1 to 4, the viscosity of the powder granules at the time of disintegration rises sharply due to disintegration (dissolution) (a viscosity increase of approximately 4,000 to 10,000 mPa s, depending on the blend amount). In contrast, the viscosity change rate during storage stability at 50°C for 30 days was less than ±10% (a maximum viscosity increase of 1,140 to 1,200 mPa s), indicating that the powder granules of Formulation Examples 1 to 4 do not disintegrate (dissolve) in the hair treatment liquid and are stably maintained for long periods of time. From this, it was found that the powdered granules containing a high concentration of highly polymerizable polyethylene glycol can be stably maintained in the hair treatment liquid for a long period of time until the hair treatment liquid is used (when washing hair), and when the hair treatment liquid after storage is used (when washing hair), the powdered granules containing highly polymerizable polyethylene glycol disintegrate, and the released highly polymerizable polyethylene glycol acts to improve usability (ease of running fingers through hair and manageability of hair). It was also found that the blending amount of the powder granules is preferably 1.0 mass % or more.

[0078] (Formulation Examples 6-10) Table 10 below shows examples of soap compositions prepared by conventional methods. The resulting soap compositions were evaluated for foam quality, and the results are shown in Table 10.

[0079] -Soap composition-

[0080] [Table 10] The results in Table 10 show that by blending powder granules containing highly polymerizable polyethylene glycol in a soap composition, an effect of improving usability (improved foam quality) can be obtained. It was also found that the blending amount of the powder granules is preferably 1.0 mass % or more. [Industrial Applicability]
