[0007] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings. However, the embodiment described below is merely one of various embodiments of the present disclosure. The following embodiment can be modified in various ways depending on the design, etc., as long as the object of the present disclosure can be achieved.

[0008] (1) Overview Fig. 1 is an external perspective view of a reactor 1 in a first embodiment. Fig. 2A, Fig. 2B, Fig. 2C, and Fig. 2D are a plan view, a front view, a side view, and a rear view, respectively, of the reactor 1. The reactor 1 is a two-phase magnetically coupled reactor, and has a magnetic coupling function for magnetically coupling a coil 21 and a coil 22, and an inductor function for storing or releasing the magnetic energy of each of the coils 21 and 22.

[0009] The reactor 1 includes coils 21 and 22 and a core 3. The core 3 includes core legs 301 and 302. The coil 21 is wound around the core 3 about a central axis O1 extending in the direction D1. The coil 22 is wound around the core 3 about a central axis O2 extending in the direction D1. The central axis O1 of the coil 21 is parallel to the central axis O2 of the coil 22. The coils 21 and 22 are arranged in a direction D2 perpendicular to the central axis O1 of the coil 21, i.e., the direction D1. The coil 21 includes a winding portion 210 wound around the core leg 301 and two terminal portions 211 and 212 drawn out from the winding portion 210. The winding portion 210 has both ends 211A and 212A, and is wound around the core leg 301 from one end 211A to the other end 212A of the both ends 211A and 212A. The terminal portions 211 and 212 are respectively drawn out from both ends 211A and 212A of the winding portion 210. The coil 22 includes a winding portion 220 wound around a core leg 302, and two terminal portions 221 and 222 drawn out from the winding portion 220. The winding portion 220 has both ends 221A and 222A, and is wound around the core leg 302 from one end 221A to the other end 222A of the both ends 221A and 222A. The terminal portions 221 and 222 are respectively drawn out from both ends 221A and 222A of the winding portion 220. The coil 22 has the same shape and dimensions as the coil 21. The coils 21 and 22 constitute the coil portion 2. FIG. 2A shows an outline of the reactor 1 as viewed from a direction D1. Fig. 2B shows an outline of the reactor 1 as viewed from a direction D3 perpendicular to directions D1 and D2. Fig. 2C shows an outline of the reactor 1 as viewed from direction D2. Fig. 2D shows an outline of the reactor 1 as viewed from direction D3.

[0010] In this embodiment, the coils 21 and 22 have the same shape and the same dimensions, so there is no need to prepare two different types of coils as the coils 21 and 22, which makes it easy to manufacture the reactor 1. Furthermore, in this embodiment, the coil section 2, which is a combination of the coils 21 and 22, both ends One terminal portion 211 of the coil 21 and one terminal portion 221 of the coil 22 can be located on one side of the coil 21. both endsAnother terminal portion 212 of the coil 21 and another terminal portion 222 of the coil 22 can be positioned on the other side of the coil 21. Therefore, the reactor 1 according to this embodiment can be easily connected to an external circuit. In particular, when the reactor 1 is mounted on a wiring board or the like to connect the terminal portion 211 of the coil 21 and the terminal portion 221 of the coil 22 to a circuit and connect the terminal portion 212 of the coil 21 and the terminal portion 222 of the coil 22 to another circuit, it is possible to simplify the layout of the wiring on the wiring board or the like. Therefore, it is possible to miniaturize the device including the reactor 1. Furthermore, in this embodiment, since the coil 21 and the coil 22 have the same shape in the reactor 1, it is possible to make it difficult for a variation to occur between the current (current waveform) flowing through the coil 21 and the current (current waveform) flowing through the coil 22.

[0011] In the composite transformer disclosed in Patent Document 1, the positions of the terminals drawn from the multiple coils can make connections to external circuits complicated, resulting in a complex circuit configuration.

[0012] In this disclosure, "the same shape" does not require strict identity, but only needs to be the same shape to be considered the same in the field of coils. For example, "the coils 21 and 22 have the same shape" includes coils that have a shape whose outlines are approximately the same when superimposed on each other, coils that are obtained by the same manufacturing device but made in different manufacturing lots, coils that are made from materials containing different components to have the same shape, and coils that have different cross-sectional shapes of the conductive wires that form the coils 21 and 22. Similarly, "the same dimensions" does not require strict identity, but only needs to be the same size to be considered the same in the field of coils. For example, "the coils 21 and 22 have the same dimensions" includes coils that have a shape whose outlines are approximately the same when superimposed on each other, coils that are obtained by the same manufacturing device but made in different manufacturing lots, coils that are made from materials containing different components to have the same dimensions, and coils that have different cross-sectional dimensions of the conductive wires that form the coils 21 and 22.

[0013] The reactor 1 of the present embodiment is used in power supply circuits provided in, for example, automobiles, residential or non-residential power conditioners, electronic devices, and the like.

[0014] (2) Configuration of Reactor 1 (2-1) First embodiment A detailed configuration of the reactor 1 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure will be described below. Fig. 3A is a cross-sectional view of the reactor 1 taken along line IIIA-IIIA shown in Figs. 2A to 2D. Fig. 3B is a cross-sectional view of the reactor 1 taken along line IIIB-IIIB shown in Figs. 2A to 2D. Fig. 3C is a cross-sectional view of the reactor 1 taken along line IIIC-IIIC shown in Figs. 2A to 2D.

[0015] In the reactor 1, the core 3 magnetically couples the coils 21 and 22 to each other. The core 3 stores or releases magnetic energy generated by a current flowing through one or both of the coils 21 and 22.

[0016] The core 3 has core legs 301, 302, and 303 and connecting portions 304 and 305. As shown in Fig. 1, in this embodiment, the core legs 301, 302, and 303 are integrally formed in the core 3. The core legs 301, 302, and 303 extend in a direction D1. The core legs 301 and 302 are aligned in a direction D2. The combination of the core legs 301 and 302 and the core leg 303 are aligned in a direction D3.

[0017] The connecting portions 304 and 305 are arranged at intervals from each other in the direction D1. One end of each of the core legs 301, 302, and 303 in the direction D1 is connected to the connecting portion 304. The other end of each of the core legs 301, 302, and 303 in the direction D1 is connected to the connecting portion 305. That is, the core legs 301, 302, and 303 are connected by the connecting portions 304 and 305.

[0018] Core leg 301 is disposed inside coil 21. That is, coil 21 is wound around core leg 301. Core leg 302 is disposed inside coil 22. That is, coil 22 is wound around core leg 302. Core leg 303 is disposed outside coils 21 and 22. That is, neither coil 21 nor coil 22 is wound around core leg 303.

[0019] In the core 3 shown in Fig. 3A, the cross section of the core legs 301, 302 in a plane PL perpendicular to the direction D1 has a substantially rectangular shape. Note that this cross section is not limited to this, and may have other shapes, such as a rectangular shape, a rectangular shape with at least a partially rounded periphery, or a circular shape. Also, the connecting parts 304, 305 have a rectangular shape when viewed from the direction D1 as shown in Fig. 2A, and have a flat plate shape with four rounded corners of the rectangle, but are not limited to this.

[0020] In this embodiment, the core 3 is integrally formed. Here, "integrally" does not necessarily mean an integrally molded configuration, but includes a configuration in which a plurality of parts are joined with an adhesive or the like. The core 3 is preferably formed of a metallic magnetic material. Specifically, the core 3 is formed of a powder core (dust core) made of an alloy such as iron-silicon-aluminum (Fe-Si-Al), iron-nickel (Fe-Ni), or iron-silicon (Fe-Si).

[0021] As already described, in this embodiment, the coils 21 and 22 have the same shape. The coil 21 is made of a conductive wire having a rectangular cross section wound around the core leg 301 (center axis O1) that extends along the central axis O1 extending in the direction D1. The coil 22 is made of a conductive wire having a rectangular cross section wound around the core leg 302 (center axis O2) that extends along the central axis O2 extending in the direction D1. The coils 21 and 22 have a rectangular shape with the direction D3 as the longitudinal direction, that is, the long sides extending in the direction D3, as viewed from the direction of the central axes O1 and O2, i.e., the direction D1. The four corners of the rectangle are rounded. The number of turns of the coil 21 is the same as the number of turns of the coil 22. The number of turns of the coils 21 and 22 can be appropriately changed according to the design, etc. The number of turns of the coil 21 may be different from the number of turns of the coil 22. However, from the viewpoints of suppressing variation in the waveform of the current in the reactor 1, controlling the current flowing through the reactor 1, and improving ease of mounting of the reactor 1, it is preferable that the number of turns of the coils 21 and 22 be the same. The coils 21 and 22 are not limited to conductive wires having a rectangular cross section, and may be formed from conductive wires having a circular cross section.

[0022] In this embodiment, both ends 211A, 212A of the winding portion 210 of the coil 21 are aligned in the direction D1 of the central axis O1. The both ends 211A, 212A of the winding portion 210 are located on the opposite side to the coil 22 with respect to the central axis O1 and face the core leg portion 303.

[0023] In this embodiment, both ends 221A, 222A of the winding portion 220 of the coil 22 are aligned in the direction D1 of the central axis O2. The both ends 221A, 222A of the winding portion 220 are located on the opposite side of the central axis O2 from the coil 21 and face the core leg portion 303.

[0024] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the coil unit 2 composed of the coils 21 and 22 has a two-fold rotational symmetry relationship about the central axis O1 of the coil 21 between the coils 21 and 22, i.e., the axis O3 perpendicular to the direction D1. The axis O3 is perpendicular to the directions D1 and D2 and parallel to the direction D3. Note that the axis O3 preferably passes through the midpoint of a line segment that connects the central axes O1 and O2 and extends in the direction D2, but is not limited to this.

[0025] 1 to 3C, terminal portion 211 of coil 21 extends from end 211A of winding portion 210 in direction D2 and is bent and drawn out in direction D3. Terminal portion 212 is drawn out in a substantially linear manner in direction D3 from end 221A of winding portion 210 opposite end 211A. Terminal portion 221 of coil 22 is drawn out in a substantially linear manner in direction D3 from end 221A of winding portion 220. Terminal portion 222 extends from end 222A of winding portion 220 opposite end 221A of winding portion 220 in direction D2 and is bent and drawn out in direction D3.

[0026] Therefore, the terminal portion 211 of the coil 21 rotated half a turn around the axis O3 coincides with the terminal portion 222 of the coil 22. Also, the terminal portion 212 of the coil 21 rotated half a turn around the axis O3 coincides with the terminal portion 221 of the coil 22.

[0027] As a result, terminal portion 211 of coil 21 and terminal portion 221 of coil 22 face each other on the outside of core leg 303 of core 3, sandwiching core leg 303 therebetween, and are aligned in direction D3. Also, terminal portion 212 of coil 21 and terminal portion 222 of coil 22 face each other on the outside of core leg 303 of core 3, sandwiching core leg 303 therebetween, and are aligned in direction D3. For example, as shown in Fig. 2D, in reactor 1, two terminal portions 211, 212 of coil 21 and two terminal portions 221, 222 of coil 22 are all disposed on the same side of core 3 on the outside of core leg 303.

[0028] 3D is a circuit diagram of a power supply circuit 100 including a reactor 1. In the power supply circuit 100, terminal portion 211 of coil 21 and terminal portion 221 of coil 22 of reactor 1 are connected to the same external circuit 101, and terminal portion 212 and terminal portion 222 are connected to the same external circuit 102. Specifically, terminal portion 211 of coil 21 of reactor 1 is connected to input terminal T11 which is a terminal connected to external circuit 101, and terminal portion 221 of coil 22 is connected to input terminal T12 which is a terminal connected to external circuit 101. In addition, terminal portion 211 of coil 21 of reactor 1 is connected to input terminal T12 which is a terminal connected to external circuit 101. 212 is connected to an output terminal T21 which is a terminal connected to the external circuit 102, and a terminal portion 222 of the coil 22 is connected to an output terminal T22 which is a terminal connected to the external circuit 102.

[0029] 3E is a side view of power supply circuit 100. Power supply circuit 100 further includes circuit board 103 on which reactor 1 and external circuits 101 and 102 are mounted. Terminal portions 211, 212, 221, and 222 of reactor 1 are connected to circuit board 103 with bonding material 104 such as solder. Since terminal portions 211, 212, 221, and 222 are drawn out from core 3 to circuit board 103 in the same direction at short distances, terminal portions 2111, 212, 221, and 222 can be connected to circuit board 3 electrically uniformly and easily. In reactor 1, terminal portion 211 of coil 21 connected to one external circuit 101 and terminal portion 221 of coil 22 face in the same direction on the same side of reactor 1, and terminal portion 212 of coil 21 connected to one external circuit 102 and terminal portion 222 of coil 22 face in the same direction on the same side of reactor 1, making it easy to connect reactor 1 to external circuits 101, 102.

[0030] The core 3 has a coupling magnetic path that magnetically couples the coils 21 and 22 to each other. This coupling magnetic path is composed of the core legs 301 and 302 and the connecting parts 304 and 305. The core 3 also has a non-coupling magnetic path through which the magnetic flux generated by the coil 21 passes. This non-coupling magnetic path is composed of the core legs 301 and 303 and the connecting parts 304 and 305. The core 3 also has a non-coupling magnetic path through which the magnetic flux generated by the coil 22 passes (see FIGS. 3B and 3C). This non-coupling magnetic path is composed of the core legs 302 and 303 and the connecting parts 304 and 305. For example, in the core 3, a magnetic flux Y11 is generated by a current flowing through the coil 21, as shown in FIGS. 3B and 3C. Note that the magnetic flux Y11 is merely a conceptually illustrated magnetic flux, and the magnetic flux passing through the non-coupling magnetic path is not limited to this.

[0031] Here, the direction of the DC magnetic flux generated by the coils 21 and 22 is determined by the winding direction of the coils 21 and 22 and the direction of the DC current flowing through the coils 21 and 22. The DC magnetic flux here refers to the magnetic flux generated by the DC current flowing through the coils 21 and 22. One terminal portion 211, 221 of the coils 21 and 22 is electrically connected to the connection portions T11 and T12, which are the high-potential side input terminals of the external circuit 101, respectively. In addition, the other terminal portions 212, 222 of the coils 21 and 22 are electrically connected to the connection portions T21 and T22, which are the low-potential side input terminals of the external circuit 102, respectively (see FIG. 3D). Therefore, in the coupled magnetic path, the direction of the DC magnetic flux generated by the coil 21 when the coil 21 is energized and the direction of the DC magnetic flux generated by the coil 22 when the coil 22 is energized are opposite to each other. Therefore, in the coupled magnetic path formed by core 3, the DC magnetic flux generated by coil 21 and the DC magnetic flux generated by coil 22 are in opposite directions and cancel each other out.

[0032] In this way, the coils 21 and 22 are magnetically coupled to each other by the coupling magnetic path formed by the core 3. In other words, the core 3 magnetically couples the coils 21 and 22 to each other. That is, the core 3 realizes a magnetic coupling function that magnetically couples the coils 21 and 22 to each other. And the core 3 stores, for example, the magnetic flux generated by the coil 21 that passes through a non-coupling magnetic path as magnetic energy. That is, the core 3 realizes an inductor function that stores or releases the magnetic energy generated by the coil 21.

[0033] Although the above description has been given of the case where a current flows through the coil 21, similarly, when a current flows through the coil 22, the core 3 stores, as magnetic energy, the magnetic flux that passes through the uncoupled magnetic path out of the magnetic flux generated by the coil 22. In other words, the core leg 302 realizes an inductor function that stores or releases the magnetic energy generated by the coil 22.

[0034] (2-2) Second embodiment FIG. 4 is an external perspective view of a reactor 1A according to a second embodiment. FIGS. 5A, 5B, and 5C are a plan view, a front view, and a side view of the reactor 1A, respectively. FIG. 6A is a cross-sectional view of the reactor 1A shown in FIGS. 5A to 5C taken along line VIA-VIA. FIG. 6B is a cross-sectional view of the reactor 1A shown in FIGS. 5A to 5C taken along line VIB-VIB. FIG. 6C is a cross-sectional view of the reactor 1A shown in FIGS. 5A to 5C taken along line VIC-VIC. Hereinafter, components similar to those of the reactor 1 in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and description thereof will be omitted as appropriate.

[0035] The reactor 1A of this embodiment also includes coils 21 and 22 and a core 3. The coils 21 and 22 configure a coil portion 2.

[0036] The coils 21 and 22 of the coil unit 2 are wound around central axes O1 and O2, respectively, that extend in a direction D1. The coils 21 and 22 are aligned in a direction D2 that is perpendicular to the direction D1. A direction D3 is perpendicular to the directions D1 and D2.

[0037] The core 3 has core legs 301, 302, and 303 and connecting portions 304 and 305. As shown in Fig. 4, in this embodiment, the core legs 301, 302, and 303 are integrally formed in the core 3. The core legs 301, 302, and 303 extend in a direction D1. The core legs 301 and 302 are aligned in a direction D2. The combination of the core legs 301 and 302 and the core leg 303 are aligned in a direction D3.

[0038] Each of the connection portions 304, 305 has an octagonal shape when viewed from direction D1, having two long sides extending in direction D3 and facing each other, two short sides shorter than the long sides extending in direction D2 and facing each other, and four oblique sides connecting the long sides and the short sides (see Figure 5A).

[0039] The connecting portions 304 and 305 are arranged at intervals in the direction D1. One end of each of the core legs 301, 302, and 303 in the direction D1 is connected to the connecting portion 304. The other end of each of the core legs 301, 302, and 303 in the direction D1 is connected to the connecting portion 305. In other words, the core legs 301, 302, and 303 are connected to each other by the connecting portions 304 and 305.

[0040] Both ends of core leg 301 are connected to one long side of connection part 304 and to a long side of connection part 305 facing this long side in direction D1. Both ends of core leg 302 are connected to a long side of connection part 304 different from the long side connected to core leg 301 and to a long side of connection part 305 facing this long side in direction D1 different from the long side connected to core leg 301. Both ends of core leg 303 are connected to one short side of connection part 304 and to a short side of connection part 305 facing it. Between each oblique side of connection part 304 and the oblique side of connection part 305 facing it in direction D1, there is an opening that leads to the space between connection part 304 and connection part 305.

[0041] Core leg 301 is disposed inside coil 21. Core leg 302 is disposed inside coil 22. Core leg 303 is disposed outside coils 21 and 22. In other words, core leg 303 is not disposed inside either coil 21 or 22.

[0042] 6A, each of the core legs 301 and 302 has a cross section perpendicular to the direction D1, which has a rectangular shape that is long in the direction D3 and has at least a part of its periphery that is rounded. Note that this cross section is not limited to this, and may have other shapes, such as a rectangular shape or a circular shape.

[0043] 5A and 6A, in the core 3 according to the present embodiment, an outline 301L of a surface 301S of the core leg 301 facing the core leg 303, which appears in a cross section perpendicular to the central axis O1 of the coil 21, forms a curved line protruding toward the core leg 303. An outline 302L of a surface 302S of the core leg 302 facing the core leg 303, which appears in a cross section perpendicular to the central axis O2 of the coil 22, forms a curved line protruding toward the core leg 303. An outline 303L1 of a surface 303S1 of the core leg 303 facing the core leg 301, which appears in a cross section perpendicular to the central axis O1 of the coil 21, forms a curved line recessed toward the opposite side to the core leg 301. Further, a contour 303L2 of a surface 303S2 of core leg 303 facing core leg 302, which appears in a cross section perpendicular to central axis O2 of coil 22, forms a curved line recessed toward the opposite side to core leg 302.

[0044] That is, core leg 301 has a surface 301S facing core leg 303. An outline 301L of surface 301S of core leg 301 included in a cross section of core leg 301 on plane PL perpendicular to direction D1 is a curve bulging toward core leg 303. Core leg 302 has a surface 302S facing core leg 303. An outline 302L of surface 302S of core leg 302 included in a cross section of core leg 302 on plane PL is a curve bulging toward core leg 303. Core leg 303 has a surface 303S1 and a surface 303S2 facing surface 301S of core leg 301 and surface 302S of core leg 302, respectively. An outline 303L1 of a surface 303S1 of core leg 303 included in the cross section of core leg 303 on plane PL is a curve concave toward the opposite side to core leg 301. An outline 303L2 of a surface 303S2 of core leg 303 included in the cross section of core leg 303 is a curve concave toward the opposite side to core leg 302.

[0045] With the above configuration, the reactor of this embodiment 1A In this case, it is possible to reduce the number of places where magnetic flux locally concentrates on the core legs 301, 302, and 303. 1A The reactor can be easily connected to an external circuit and can ensure the effect of canceling magnetic flux. 1A When connected to an external circuit, the current can be easily controlled.

[0046] Furthermore, the contour 301L of the surface 301S of the core leg 301 may have an arc shape. The contour 303L1 of the surface 303S1 of the core leg 303 may have an arc shape concentric with the arc shape of the contour 301L of the surface 301S of the core leg 301. The contour 302L of the surface 302S of the core leg 302 may have an arc shape. The contour 303L2 of the surface 303S2 of the core leg 303 may have an arc shape concentric with the arc shape of the contour 302L of the surface 302S of the core leg 302. With this configuration, the above-mentioned effects can be obtained more reliably.

[0047] In addition, the shapes of the contours 301L, 302L, 303L1, 303L2 of the faces 301S, 302S, 303S1, 303S2 of the core legs 301, 302, 303 in the core 3 are not limited to these.

[0048] The core 3 is integrally formed, for example, as shown in Fig. 4. The term "integral" as used here is not limited to an integrally molded configuration, but includes a configuration in which multiple parts are bonded with an adhesive or the like. The material forming the core 3 may be the same as that in the first embodiment. The core 3 may have the same structure as that in the first embodiment described above.

[0049] In this embodiment, coil 21 is also made of a conductive wire having a rectangular cross section wound around core leg 301. Coil 22 is also made of a conductive wire having a rectangular cross section wound around core leg 302.

[0050] The direction of the central axis O1 of the coil 21 and the direction of the central axis O2 of the coil 22 are both direction D1. The coils 21 and 22 are aligned in a direction D2 perpendicular to the direction D1 of the central axis O1 of the coil 21. As shown in Figures 4 to 6C, the direction D2 is perpendicular to the direction D3.

[0051] In this embodiment, terminal portions 211 and 212 of coil 21 are drawn out in mutually opposite directions parallel to direction D3 from ends 211A and 212A of winding portion 210. Terminal portions 221 and 222 of coil 22 are drawn out in mutually opposite directions parallel to direction D3 from ends 221A and 222A of winding portion 210 (see FIGS. 4 to 6C). That is, in this embodiment, a reactor 1A In the figure, terminal portions 211 and 212 of the coil 21 are drawn out from both ends 211A and 212A of the winding portion 210 in a direction D3 perpendicular to both the direction D1 of the central axis O1 of the coil 21 and the direction D2 in which the coils 21 and 22 are arranged when viewed from the direction D1. Also, the terminal portions 221 and 222 of the coil 22 are drawn out from the winding portion 220 of the coil 22 at both ends in a direction perpendicular to both the direction of the central axis O2 of the coil 22 and the direction in which the coils 21 and 22 are arranged.

[0052] In the reactor 1A of this embodiment, the coils 21 and 22 have the same shape. In particular, in this embodiment, the coil 21 and the coil 22 are translationally symmetrical in a translation operation in a direction parallel to the direction D2 in which the coils 21 and 22 are arranged. Specifically, as shown in Figs. 4 to 6C, the terminals 211 and 212 of the coil 21 are both bent and drawn out, and the terminals 211 and 212 are on opposite sides to each other about the central axis O1 in the direction D3, and are also on opposite sides to each other about the axis of the direction D2 perpendicular to the central axis O1 in the direction D1. In addition, the terminals 221 and 222 of the coil 22 are both bent and drawn out, and the terminals 221 and 222 are on opposite sides to each other about the central axis O2 in the direction D3, and are also on opposite sides to each other about the axis of the direction D2 perpendicular to the central axis O2 in the direction D1.

[0053] That is, terminal portion 211 of coil 21 that has been subjected to a translation operation in a direction parallel to direction D2 coincides with terminal portion 221 of coil 22. Moreover, terminal portion 212 of coil 21 that has been subjected to a translation operation in a direction parallel to direction D2 coincides with terminal portion 222 of coil 22.

[0054] In this manner, the reactor of this embodiment 1A In this case, terminal portion 211 of coil 21 and terminal portion 221 of coil 22 can be arranged to face the same side from core 3. Furthermore, terminal portion 212 of coil 21 and terminal portion 222 of coil 22 can be arranged on the opposite side to terminal portions 211 and 221 to face the same direction from core 3.

[0055] Therefore, when connecting the reactor 1A instead of the reactor 1 to the external circuits 101 and 102 of the power supply circuit 100 shown in FIG. 3D, the terminal portion 211 of the coil 21 and the coil 22 The terminal portion 221 of the coil 21 and the terminal portion 222 of the coil 22 can be wired on the same side to be connected to an external circuit 101. Furthermore, the terminal portion 212 of the coil 21 and the terminal portion 222 of the coil 22 can be wired on the same side to be connected to another external circuit 102.

[0056] Reactor 1ATo connect to an external circuit, a reactor is required as shown in Figure 3D. 1A In the reactor, terminal portion 211 of coil 21 and terminal portion 221 of coil 22 are connected to the same external circuit (external circuit 101 in FIG. 3D), and terminal portion 212 and terminal portion 222 are connected to the same external circuit (external circuit 102 in FIG. 3D). 1A One terminal 211 of the coil 21 in the reactor 101 is connected to a connection T11 of the external circuit 101, and one terminal 221 of the coil 22 in the reactor 101 is connected to a connection T12 of the external circuit 101. 1A The other terminal 212 of the coil 21 in the reactor is connected to the connection portion T21 of the external circuit 102, and the other terminal 222 of the coil 22 is connected to the connection portion T22 of the external circuit 102. 1A Since the terminals of the coils 21 and 22 connected to the external circuits 101 and 102 face in the same direction, the coils 21 and 22 can be easily connected to the external circuits 101 and 102.

[0057] In particular, in this embodiment, the connection parts 304 and 305 of the core 3 have four oblique sides, so that the terminal parts 211, 212, 221, and 222 of the coils 21 and 22 are arranged outside the openings in the core leg part 303. In other words, in this embodiment, the terminal parts of the coils 21 and 22 are arranged at positions outside the core 3. As a result, in the reactor 1A of this embodiment, even if the coils 21 and 22 have the same shape, each terminal part is arranged outside the core 3, so that when the reactor 1A is mounted on a wiring board or the like and connected to the external circuits 101 and 102, it is possible to further simplify the wiring on the wiring board or the like. Therefore, it is possible to miniaturize the device including the reactor 1A. The shape of the core 3 is not limited to the shape described above, and may be any shape that allows the terminal parts of the coils 21 and 22 to be arranged facing the outside of the core 3.

[0058] (2-3) Modifications Modifications of the first and second embodiments will be listed below. The modifications described below can be applied in appropriate combination with the above embodiments.

[0059] In the above-described reactors 1 and 1A, the core legs 301, 302, and 303 are integrally formed in the core 3, but each may be separate. For example, in the above-described example, the core legs 301 and 303 are configured to serve both a coupled magnetic path and a non-coupled magnetic path, but they may be separately formed into a core leg forming a coupled magnetic path and a core leg forming a non-coupled magnetic path. Similarly, the core legs 302 and 303 are configured to serve both a coupled magnetic path and a non-coupled magnetic path, but they may be separately formed into a core leg forming a coupled magnetic path and a core leg forming a non-coupled magnetic path. In this case, the two core legs forming the core leg 301 (core leg 302) may be joined together with an adhesive or the like. Also, the core legs 301, 302, and 303 of the core 3 may be made of different materials. For example, when designing reactor 1, the coupling coefficient may be adjusted by making the magnetic permeability of the material constituting core leg 303 different from that of the material constituting core legs 301 and 302.

[0060] Although the reactors 1 and 1A of the above-described embodiment include the core legs 301 and 302 as an uncoupled magnetic path for realizing an inductor function, only one of the core legs 301 and 302 may be provided.

[0061] Furthermore, the connecting portions 304 and 305 do not have to have the same shape. For example, the connecting portion 304 may have a rectangular shape, and the connecting portion 305 may have another shape, such as a polygonal shape other than a rectangle.

[0062] Furthermore, reactors 1, 1A may further include a bobbin around which coils 21, 22 are wound. Core legs 301, 302 pass through the bobbin.

[0063] In the reactors 1 and 1A, the coils 21 and 22 and the core 3 may be sealed together with a sealing member such as resin. This makes it possible to suppress the winding deviation of the coils 21 and 22.

[0064] Furthermore, the core legs 301, 302, and 303 do not necessarily have to be continuously connected as a whole. For example, the core legs 301, 302, and 303 may be partially continuously connected. [Explanation of symbols]
