[Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent No. 5501257 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] In the structure of Patent Document 1, the temperature of the coolant downstream of the cooling flow path is higher than that of the coolant upstream of the cooling flow path, so there is a possibility that the power module arranged downstream of the cooling flow path cannot be sufficiently cooled. In other words, a temperature deviation of the coolant occurs between the upstream and downstream of the cooling flow path, making it difficult to uniformly cool multiple power modules.
[0005] The present disclosure has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned circumstances, and has an object to provide a rotating electric unit that can uniformly cool a plurality of power modules and improve cooling performance. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] A rotating electric machine unit according to the present disclosure includes a rotating electric machine having a stator and a rotor rotating about an axis relative to the stator, a power conversion device arranged alongside the rotating electric machine in an axial direction along the axis of the rotor and having a capacitor unit and a plurality of power modules, and a first cooling section in which a first cooling flow path through which a refrigerant flows is formed and which cools the power conversion device, the first cooling flow path having an inlet flow path through which the refrigerant is supplied, and a first cooling path branching off from the inlet flow path and formed at a position overlapping a first group of power modules among the plurality of power modules when viewed from the axial direction. the first cooling section includes a first flow path branching from the inlet flow path and formed at a position overlapping a second group of power modules different from the first group among the plurality of power modules when viewed in the axial direction; a third flow path branching from the inlet flow path and formed at a position overlapping the capacitor unit when viewed in the axial direction; and an outlet flow path where the refrigerant from the first flow path, the second flow path, and the third flow path join together and where the refrigerant is discharged from the first cooling section, and the outlet flow path is connected to a second cooling flow path formed inside a second cooling section that cools the rotating electric machine. [0009] Embodiment 1 Hereinafter, a rotating electrical machine unit 1 according to a first embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 is a circuit diagram of the rotating electric machine unit 1. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the rotating electric machine unit 1. As shown in Fig. 2, the rotating electric machine unit 1 includes a rotating electric machine 2, a power conversion device 3, and a cooler 4 (first cooling section). The rotating electric machine 2, the power conversion device 3, and the cooler 4 are integrated together. This allows the rotating electric machine unit 1 to be made more compact. In this specification, the direction along the axis of the rotor 22 of the rotating electric machine 2 is referred to as the "axial direction." Moreover, the direction intersecting the axis of the rotor 22 when viewed from the axial direction is referred to as the "radial direction," and the direction going around the axis of the rotor 22 is referred to as the "circumferential direction."
[0010] First, a circuit configuration (electrical configuration) of a rotating electric machine unit 1 will be described with reference to Fig. 1. In this embodiment, a rotating electric machine unit of a six-phase drive type will be described as an example of the rotating electric machine unit 1. The rotating electric machine unit 1 is mounted on, for example, a vehicle.
[0011] The rotating electric machine 2 includes six coils 25U1, 25V1, 25W1, 25U2, 25V2, and 25W2 corresponding to six phases (U1 phase, V1 phase, W1 phase, U2 phase, V2 phase, and W2 phase). Note that in this specification, the coils 25U1, 25V1, 25W1, 25U2, 25V2, and 25W2 are also simply referred to as coils 25.
[0012] The power conversion device 3 includes a capacitor unit 34 and six power modules 35U1, 35V1, 35W1, 35U2, 35V2, and 35W2 corresponding to six phases (U1 phase, V1 phase, W1 phase, U2 phase, V2 phase, and W2 phase). Note that in this specification, the power modules 35U1, 35V1, 35W1, 35U2, 35V2, and 35W2 are also simply referred to as power modules 35.
[0013] DC power is input to the power conversion device 3 from a DC power source E such as a battery. The power conversion device 3 converts the DC power output from the DC power source E into AC power and supplies it to the rotating electric machine 2.
[0014] The capacitor unit 34 is connected between the positive terminal and the negative terminal of the DC power supply E. The capacitor unit 34 has a plurality of capacitor elements 34a connected in parallel. The capacitor unit 34 may have only one capacitor element 34a. The capacitor unit 34 is a smoothing capacitor that stabilizes the voltage so that it does not fluctuate greatly in response to power fluctuations of the DC power supply E or power fluctuations on the power module 35 side.
[0015] Each power module 35 is connected between the positive terminal and the negative terminal of the DC power source E. Each power module 35 includes an upper arm switching element SW1 and a diode D1, and a lower arm switching element SW2 and a diode D2. The switching elements SW1 and SW2 are, for example, IGBTs (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors). The switching elements SW1 and SW2 are connected in series. A connection point between the switching elements SW1 and SW2 is connected to the coil 25 of the corresponding phase. The diode D1 is connected in parallel to the switching element SW1 in the reverse direction. The diode D2 is connected in parallel to the switching element SW2 in the reverse direction.
[0016] Next, the structure of the rotating electrical machine unit 1 will be described. The power converter 3 has a case 31 and a terminal block 32 having a cover 32c. FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the rotating electric machine unit 1, showing a state in which the cover 32c of the terminal block 32 is removed. FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the rotating electric machine unit 1, showing a state in which the case 31 and the terminal block 32 are removed. FIG. 5 is a plan view of the rotating electric machine unit 1, showing a state in which the case 31 and the terminal block 32 are removed. FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA in FIG. 5. FIG. 7 is a perspective view of the rotating electric machine unit 1, showing a state in which the case 31, the terminal block 32, and the control board 36 are removed. FIG. 8 is a plan view of the rotating electric machine unit 1, showing a state in which the case 31, the terminal block 32, and the control board 36 are removed. FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view taken along line BB in FIG. 8. FIG. 10 is a cross-sectional view taken along line CC in FIG. 8.
[0017] <Power conversion device> As shown in Figures 2, 4, 7, etc., the power conversion device 3 includes a case 31, a terminal block 32, a signal connector 33, a capacitor unit 34, a control board 36, a plurality of power modules 35 (in this embodiment, six power modules 35U1, 35V1, 35W1, 35U2, 35V2, 35W2), a plurality of bus bars 37 (six in this embodiment), and a plurality of current sensors 38 (six in this embodiment).
[0018] The case 31 covers electronic components such as the capacitor unit 34, the power module 35, and the control board 36 from above. This ensures insulation between these electronic components and components mounted around the rotating electrical machine unit 1, and prevents foreign matter from entering the rotating electrical machine unit 1 from the outside.
[0019] 2 and 3, the terminal block 32 is provided on the upper surface of the case 31. The terminal block 32 connects the DC power supply E and the capacitor unit 34. The terminal block 32 has a positive electrode side connection terminal 32a, a negative electrode side connection terminal 32b, and a cover 32c.
[0020] The positive connection terminal 32a is connected to a positive terminal of the DC power supply E and a positive conductor 342 of the capacitor unit 34, which will be described later. The negative connection terminal 32b is connected to a negative terminal of the DC power supply E and a negative conductor 343 of the capacitor unit 34, which will be described later. The cover 32c covers the positive connection terminal 32a and the negative connection terminal 32b from above, and prevents foreign matter from entering the inside of the power conversion device 3.
[0021] The signal connector 33 is provided on a side surface of the case 31. As shown in Fig. 4, the signal connector 33 is connected to the control board 36 via a signal connector harness 33a. The signal connector 33 is used to transmit and receive various signals between the power conversion device 3 and an external control device mounted on a vehicle or the like. When viewed from the axial direction, the side where the signal connector 33 is arranged with respect to the axis of the rotor 22 is referred to as the front side, and the opposite side is referred to as the rear side. The terminal block 32 and the signal connector 33 are arranged on the front side of the rotating electrical machine unit 1.
[0022] Fig. 11 is a perspective view of the capacitor unit 34. As shown in Fig. 11, the capacitor unit 34 has a main body 341, a positive conductor 342, and a negative conductor 343. As shown in Fig. 5, the capacitor unit 34 is disposed in the center of the power conversion device 3. The capacitor unit 34 is fixed to a first plate 41 of the cooler 4, which will be described later.
[0023] The main body 341 has a cylindrical shape. The main body 341 includes a plurality of capacitor elements 34a (see FIG. 1). A harness fixing portion 341a is formed on an outer circumferential surface of the main body 341. A through hole extending in the axial direction is formed in the harness fixing portion 341a, and a resolver harness 27c of the rotating electric machine 2 described later is inserted into this through hole. A plurality of mounting portions 341b for mounting the capacitor unit 34 to the first plate 41 are formed on the lower portion of the main body 341. The mounting portions 341b are protrusions that protrude radially outward from the outer circumferential surface of the main body 341. A bolt hole 341c is formed in the mounting portion 341b, through which a bolt 41f2 (see FIGS. 7 and 8) is inserted.
[0024] The positive conductor 342 and the negative conductor 343 are plate-shaped members. The positive conductor 342 is connected to a positive connection terminal 32a of the terminal block 32 and a positive terminal 35b of a power module 35 described later. The negative conductor 343 is connected to a negative connection terminal 32b of the terminal block 32 and a negative terminal 35c of a power module 35 described later.
[0025] For example, oxygen-free copper is used as the material of the positive electrode conductor 342 and the negative electrode conductor 343. In order to reduce the cost of materials and improve availability, tough pitch copper may be used as the material of the positive electrode conductor 342 and the negative electrode conductor 343. The plate thickness of the positive electrode conductor 342 and the negative electrode conductor 343 is, for example, 0.5 to 2.5 mm.
[0026] The positive conductor 342 has a positive first end 342a connected to the positive connection terminal 32a of the terminal block 32 and a positive second end 342b connected to the positive terminal 35b of the power module 35.
[0027] The positive electrode first end 342a is drawn out from the lower end of the main body 341 and extends in the axial direction toward the positive electrode side connection terminal 32a of the terminal block 32. The tip of the positive electrode first end 342a is bent to contact the positive electrode side connection terminal 32a from above. A bolt hole 342c through which a bolt 344 (see FIG. 3) is inserted is formed at the tip of the positive electrode first end 342a. The tip of the positive electrode first end 342a is fixed to the positive electrode side connection terminal 32a by the bolt 344.
[0028] The positive electrode side second end portions 342b are provided corresponding to the power modules 35 of each phase. That is, six positive electrode side second end portions 342b are provided. The positive electrode side second end portions 342b are drawn out from the lower end of the main body portion 341 and extend toward the positive electrode terminals 35b of the power modules 35. The six positive electrode side second end portions 342b are disposed at equal intervals (60° intervals) in the circumferential direction. The six positive electrode side second end portions 342b have the same shape.
[0029] The negative conductor 343 has a negative first end 343a connected to the negative connection terminal 32b of the terminal block 32 and a negative second end 343b connected to the negative terminal 35c of the power module 35.
[0030] The negative electrode first end 343a is drawn out from the lower end of the main body 341 and extends in the axial direction toward the negative electrode side connection terminal 32b of the terminal block 32. The tip of the negative electrode first end 343a is bent to contact the negative electrode side connection terminal 32b from above. A bolt hole 343c through which a bolt 344 (see FIG. 3) is inserted is formed at the tip of the negative electrode first end 343a. The tip of the negative electrode first end 343a is fixed to the negative electrode side connection terminal 32b by the bolt 344.
[0031] The negative electrode side second end portions 343b are provided corresponding to the power modules 35 of each phase. That is, six negative electrode side second end portions 343b are provided. The negative electrode side second end portions 343b are drawn out from the lower end of the main body portion 341 and extend toward the negative electrode terminals 35c of the power modules 35. The six negative electrode side second end portions 343b are disposed at equal intervals (60° intervals) in the circumferential direction. The six negative electrode side second end portions 343b have the same shape.
[0032] 7 and 8, the six power modules 35 are arranged to surround the capacitor unit 34. The six power modules 35 are arranged at equal intervals (60° intervals) in the circumferential direction. The power modules 35U1, 35V1, 35W1, 35U2, 35V2, and 35W2 are arranged in this order in the circumferential direction. Therefore, the power modules 35 of the same phase (for example, the power modules 35U1 and 35U2 of the U1 phase and the U2 phase) are arranged to face each other in the radial direction with the capacitor unit 34 in between.
[0033] Each power module 35 has a main body 35a, a positive terminal 35b, a negative terminal 35c, an output terminal 35d, an upper arm signal terminal 35e, and a lower arm signal terminal 35f.
[0034] The main body 35a has a generally rectangular shape when viewed in the axial direction. The main body 35a includes an upper arm switching element SW1 and a diode D1, and a lower arm switching element SW2 and a diode D2.
[0035] The positive electrode terminal 35b, the negative electrode terminal 35c, the output terminal 35d, the upper arm side signal terminal 35e, and the lower arm side signal terminal 35f are each a plate-shaped member. The material of the positive electrode terminal 35b, the negative electrode terminal 35c, the output terminal 35d, the upper arm side signal terminal 35e, and the lower arm side signal terminal 35f is, for example, oxygen-free copper. In order to reduce the cost of materials and improve availability, tough pitch copper may be used as the material of the positive electrode terminal 35b, the negative electrode terminal 35c, the output terminal 35d, the upper arm side signal terminal 35e, and the lower arm side signal terminal 35f. The plate thickness of the positive electrode terminal 35b, the negative electrode terminal 35c, the output terminal 35d, the upper arm side signal terminal 35e, and the lower arm side signal terminal 35f is, for example, 0.5 to 1.5 mm.
[0036] The positive terminal 35b is disposed so as to face the positive electrode second end 342b of the positive electrode conductor 342. The positive terminal 35b is directly connected to the positive electrode second end 342b. Here, the direct connection means that the positive terminal 35b and the positive electrode second end 342b are connected in contact with each other without using a wire or the like. The connection between the positive terminal 35b and the positive electrode second end 342b is made by, for example, resistance welding, ultrasonic bonding, TIG welding, or laser welding. As shown in FIG. 8, the first connection part C1 between the positive electrode second end 342b and the positive terminal 35b is located between the main body part 341 of the capacitor unit 34 and the main body part 35a of the power module 35 as viewed in the axial direction.
[0037] The negative terminal 35c is disposed so as to face the negative second end 343b of the negative conductor 343. The negative terminal 35c is directly connected to the negative second end 343b. Here, being directly connected means that the negative terminal 35c and the negative second end 343b are connected in contact with each other without using a wire or the like. For example, resistance welding, ultrasonic bonding, TIG welding, or laser welding is used for connecting the negative terminal 35c and the negative second end 343b. As shown in FIG. 8, the second connection part C2 between the negative second end 343b and the negative terminal 35c is located between the main body part 341 of the capacitor unit 34 and the main body part 35a of the power module 35 as viewed from the axial direction.
[0038] In this embodiment, the capacitor unit 34 and the power module 35 are provided so that the length of the path from the positive conductor 342 of the capacitor unit 34 to the negative conductor 343 of the capacitor unit 34 via the positive terminal 35b and the negative terminal 35c of the power module 35 is approximately the same in all the power modules 35. That is, the length of the connection path between the capacitor unit 34 and the power module 35 is approximately the same in all the power modules 35. Here, the fact that the length of the path is approximately the same means that the difference in the path length between the power modules 35 is within a range of ±5% with respect to the total length of the path from the positive conductor 342 to the negative conductor 343 via the positive terminal 35b and the negative terminal 35c. This makes it possible to equalize the surge voltages generated in the respective power modules 35. Therefore, it becomes possible to input a large amount of current to the power module 35, and to increase the output of the rotating electrical machine unit 1. In the present disclosure, it is sufficient that the lengths of the connection paths between the capacitor units 34 and the power modules 35 are approximately the same for at least two power modules 35. Even in this case, the surge voltages generated in these two power modules 35 can be equalized. Therefore, it becomes possible to input a large amount of current to the power module 35, and the output of the rotating electrical machine unit 1 can be increased.
[0039] Furthermore, the wiring resistance of the connection path from the positive conductor 342 to the coil terminal 25a and from the negative conductor 343 to the coil terminal 25a is uniform in all of the power modules 35. This makes it possible to prevent bias in the current flowing through the power modules 35 from occurring among the multiple power modules 35.
[0040] Moreover, the capacitor unit 34 and the power module 35 are connected via the shortest path. This reduces the inductance of the connection path between the capacitor unit 34 and the power module 35, and suppresses surge voltages occurring in the power module 35. This makes it possible to input a larger current to the power module 35, enabling the rotating electrical machine unit 1 to achieve even higher output.
[0041] The output terminal 35d is connected to the coil terminal 25a of the coil 25 via the bus bar 37. The upper arm side signal terminal 35e is connected to the upper arm side switching element SW1 and diode D1. The lower arm side signal terminal 35f is connected to the lower arm side switching element SW2 and diode D2. The upper arm side signal terminal 35e and the lower arm side signal terminal 35f are connected to the control board 36. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the upper arm side signal terminal 35e and the lower arm side signal terminal 35f are directly attached to the control board 36.
[0042] Each bus bar 37 connects the power module 35 and the coil 25 of the corresponding phase. Fig. 12 is a perspective view of the bus bar 37. As shown in Fig. 12, the bus bar 37 is a substantially L-shaped plate member. The bus bar 37 has a first plate portion 371 and a second plate portion 372. For example, oxygen-free copper is used as the material of bus bar 37. Tough pitch copper may be used as the material of bus bar 37 in order to reduce the cost of materials and improve availability, etc. The plate thickness of bus bar 37 is, for example, 0.5 to 2.5 mm.
[0043] 8, the bus bar 37 is disposed between the power modules 35 adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction. The first plate portion 371 extends in the circumferential direction with the bus bar 37 fixed to the first plate 41. The second plate portion 372 extends in the radial direction with the bus bar 37 fixed to the first plate 41.
[0044] A first terminal 371a to be connected to the output terminal 35d is formed at an end of the first plate portion 371. The first terminal 371a is disposed so as to face the output terminal 35d. The first terminal 371a is directly connected to the output terminal 35d. Note that being directly connected means that the first terminal 371a and the output terminal 35d are connected in contact with each other without using a wire or the like. The first terminal 371a and the output terminal 35d are connected by, for example, resistance welding, ultrasonic bonding, TIG welding, or laser welding. As shown in FIG. 8, the third connection portion C3 between the first terminal 371a and the output terminal 35d is located radially outward from the main body portion 35a of the power module 35 as viewed from the axial direction.
[0045] A second terminal 372a is formed at an end of the second plate portion 372 to be connected to the coil terminal 25a. The second terminal 372a is arranged to face the coil terminal 25a. The second terminal 372a is directly connected to the coil terminal 25a. The direct connection means that the second terminal 372a and the coil terminal 25a are connected in contact with each other without using a wire or the like. The second terminal 372a and the coil terminal 25a are connected by, for example, resistance welding, ultrasonic bonding, TIG welding, or laser welding. As shown in FIG. 8, the fourth connection portion C4 between the second terminal 372a and the coil terminal 25a is located radially inward of the main body portion 35a of the power module 35 when viewed from the axial direction.
[0046] The second plate portion 372 has an attachment portion 373 to which the current sensor 38 is attached. The attachment portion 373 is provided so as to protrude axially toward the control board 36 further than the second terminal 372a.
[0047] Each bus bar 37 is provided with a current sensor 38. The current sensor 38 detects the current flowing through the bus bar 37. The current sensor 38 has a signal terminal 38a connected to the control board 36. As shown in FIG. 4, the signal terminal 38a is directly attached to the control board 36. This improves noise resistance and improves the accuracy with which the current sensor 38 can detect the current value of the bus bar 37.
[0048] 7 and 8, the bus bar 37 and the current sensor 38 are covered with a resin member 39. For example, polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) is used as the material of the resin member 39. The signal terminal 38a is exposed from the resin member 39. The resin member 39 is fixed to the first plate 41 by the bolts 41f3 and the support posts 41e. This fixes the bus bar 37 and the current sensor 38 to the first plate 41. As shown in Fig. 7, the resin member 39 is formed with bolt holes 39a through which the bolts 41f3 are inserted and through holes 39b through which the support posts 41e are inserted.
[0049] The control board 36 has a disk shape with an opening in the center. The capacitor unit 34 is disposed in the opening of the control board 36. As shown in Fig. 6, the control board 36 is fixed to the first plate 41 by a bolt 41f1 and a support 41e. The control board 36 has a bolt hole 36a through which the bolt 41f1 is inserted.
[0050] An upper arm signal terminal 35e, a lower arm signal terminal 35f, and a signal terminal 38a are directly connected to the control board 36. A signal connector 33 is connected to the control board 36 via a signal connector harness 33a. A resolver 27 of the rotating electric machine 2, which will be described later, is connected to the control board 36 via a resolver harness 27c. The control board 36 controls the power module 35 based on a control command input from an external control device mounted on a vehicle or the like.
[0051] <Rotary Electric Machines> The rotating electric machine 2 will be described with reference to Fig. 9, Fig. 13, etc. Fig. 13 is a perspective view of the rotating electric machine 2. As shown in FIG. 9, the rotating electric machine 2 includes a stator 21, a rotor 22, a shaft 23, a housing 24, a plurality of coils 25 (in this embodiment, six coils 25U1, 25V1, 25W1, 25U2, 25V2, 25W2), first and second bearings 26a, 26b, and a resolver 27.
[0052] The stator 21 is annular and is provided so as to surround the outer periphery of the rotor 22. The stator 21 is fixed to a housing 24.
[0053] The rotor 22 is provided inside the stator 21. The rotor 22 is rotatable relative to the stator 21 about its axis.
[0054] A shaft 23 is disposed at the center of the rotor 22. One axial end of the shaft 23 (the lower side of the paper in FIG. 9) is an output end that transmits the rotation of the rotor 22 to a vehicle or the like.
[0055] The coil 25 is wound around the stator 21. The coil 25 is, for example, distributed wound around the stator 21. For example, a rectangular wire having a rectangular cross section with one side of 0.5 to 6.0 mm is used as the coil 25. The coil terminals 25a of the coils 25 of each phase are connected to the power module 35 of the corresponding phase via a bus bar 37. As shown in FIG. 13, the six coil terminals 25a are arranged at equal intervals (60° intervals) in the circumferential direction. The coil terminals 25a extend linearly in the axial direction toward the bus bar 37 and are directly connected to the bus bar 37. This allows the coil terminals 25a to be connected to the bus bar 37 via the shortest path, and the amount of rectangular wire used for the coils 25 can be reduced. In addition, since a forming process for the coil terminals 25a is not required, the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
[0056] The resolver 27 detects the rotation angle of the shaft 23. The resolver 27 includes a resolver stator 27a and a resolver rotor 27b. The resolver stator 27a is fixed to the housing 24. The resolver rotor 27b is attached to the upper end portion (the end portion on the non-output side) of the shaft 23.
[0057] The resolver 27 is connected to the control board 36 via a resolver harness 27c. The resolver harness 27c is drawn out from the resolver stator 27a and extends toward the control board 36. The resolver harness 27c extends so as to avoid the portion where the power module 35 is disposed. This makes it possible to prevent noise caused by the power module 35 from being transmitted to the resolver harness 27c, and improves the detection accuracy of the rotation angle of the shaft 23.
[0058] The housing 24 accommodates the stator 21, the rotor 22, and the shaft 23. The housing 24 includes a lid portion 241 (partition member), an inner cylinder portion 242, an outer cylinder portion 243, and a bottom portion 244.
[0059] The lid portion 241 is a circular plate-like member. The lid portion 241 is fixed to the upper end of the inner cylinder portion 242. The lid portion 241 covers the stator 21 and the rotor 22 from above. The lid portion 241 is provided between the stator 21 and the cooler 4. As shown in Fig. 13, the lid portion 241 is formed with coil through holes 241a through which the coil terminals 25a are inserted. The six coil through holes 241a are arranged at equal intervals (at 60° intervals) in the circumferential direction.
[0060] The inner cylinder portion 242 has a cylindrical shape. The inner cylinder portion 242 covers the stator 21 from the radial outside. The stator 21 is fixed to the inner cylinder portion 242 by, for example, shrink fitting or press fitting. The outer cylinder portion 243 has a cylindrical shape. The outer cylinder portion 243 covers the inner cylinder portion 242 from the radial outside. The outer cylinder portion 243 is fixed to the inner cylinder portion 242 by, for example, shrink fitting or press fitting. The inner cylinder portion 242 and the outer cylinder portion 243 form a second cooling section 6 (see FIG. 9) that cools the rotating electrical machine 2. The second cooling section 6 will be described in detail later.
[0061] The bottom portion 244 is a circular plate-like member. The bottom portion 244 is fixed to a lower end of the outer cylinder portion 243. The bottom portion 244 covers the stator 21 and the rotor 22 from below. The bottom portion 244 is provided with an attachment portion 244a for attaching the rotating electric machine unit 1 to a vehicle.
[0062] A first bearing 26a is provided at an upper end (non-output end) of the shaft 23. The first bearing 26a is fixed to the cover portion 241. A second bearing 26b is provided at a lower end (output end) of the shaft 23. The second bearing 26b is fixed to the bottom portion 244. The first bearing 26a and the second bearing 26b support the shaft 23 rotatably.
[0063] <Cooler> The cooler 4 will be described with reference to Fig. 6, Fig. 9, Fig. 10, Fig. 14 to Fig. 16, etc. The cooler 4 is provided between the rotating electric machine 2 and the power conversion device 3. The cooler 4 has a first plate 41, a plurality of (six in this embodiment) second plates 42, and a base 43.
[0064] FIG. 14 is a perspective view of the second plate 42. As shown in FIG. 14, the second plate 42 is a substantially rectangular plate-like member. The second plate 42 is provided for each power module 35. As shown in FIG. 10, the power module 35 is attached to a first surface of the second plate 42. The power module 35 is fixed to the first surface of the second plate 42, for example, by soldering. A heat dissipation fin 42a (first heat dissipation fin) is provided on a second surface of the second plate 42. As shown in FIG. 7, the second plate 42 is fixed to the first plate 41 by a support 41e. As a result, the power module 35 is fixed to the first plate 41. A through hole 42b through which the support 41e is inserted is formed in the second plate 42.
[0065] FIG. 15 is a perspective view of the first plate 41. As shown in FIG. 15, the first plate 41 is a circular plate-like member. The first plate 41 is formed with a harness through hole 41a through which the resolver harness 27c is inserted. The first plate 41 is formed with a coil through hole 41b through which the coil terminal 25a is inserted. Six coil through holes 41b are arranged at equal intervals (60° intervals) in the circumferential direction. A plurality of openings 41c (six in this embodiment) are formed in the first plate 41. As shown in FIG. 10, with the second plate 42 fixed to the first plate 41, heat dissipation fins 42a are arranged inside the openings 41c. The six openings 41c are arranged at equal intervals (60° intervals) in the circumferential direction.
[0066] The first surface of the first plate 41 is provided with a first mounting hole 41d1 with a bottom to which a bolt 41f2 is attached. The first surface of the first plate 41 is provided with a second mounting hole 41d2 with a bottom to which a support 41e is attached. The first surface of the first plate 41 is provided with a third mounting hole 41d3 with a bottom to which a bolt 41f3 is attached. The second surface of the first plate 41 is fixed to the base 43.
[0067] When viewed from the axial direction, the first mounting hole 41d1 is provided at a position overlapping with a bolt hole 341c formed in the capacitor unit 34. The capacitor unit 34 is attached to the first plate 41 by inserting a bolt 41f2 into the bolt hole 341c and fastening it to the first mounting hole 41d1. In addition, as shown in FIG. 6, a heat dissipation member 44 is provided between the first plate 41 and the capacitor unit 34.
[0068] The second mounting hole 41d2 is provided at a position overlapping with the through hole 42b formed in the second plate 42 when viewed in the axial direction. The support post 41e attached to the second mounting hole 41d2 is inserted into the through hole 42b formed in the second plate 42. In this way, the second plate 42 is fixed to the first plate 41.
[0069] 6, the upper end of the support pillar 41e abuts against the control board 36. A bottomed mounting hole 41e1 into which a bolt 41f1 is attached is provided at the upper end of the support pillar 41e. The mounting hole 41e1 is provided at a position overlapping with a bolt hole 36a formed in the control board 36 when viewed from the axial direction. With the control board 36 abutting against the upper end of the support pillar 41e, the bolt 41f1 is inserted through the bolt hole 36a and fastened to the mounting hole 41e1, thereby fixing the control board 36 to the first plate 41.
[0070] The third mounting hole 41d3 is provided at a position overlapping with a bolt hole 39a formed in the resin member 39 when viewed from the axial direction. The resin member 39 is attached to the first plate 41 by inserting the bolt 41f3 into the bolt hole 39a and fastening it to the third mounting hole 41d3. The resin member 39 is also formed with a through hole 39b through which the support post 41e is inserted. By inserting the support post 41e into the through hole 39b, the resin member 39 is more reliably fixed to the first plate 41.
[0071] Fig. 16 is a perspective view of the base 43. As shown in Fig. 6, Fig. 9, Fig. 16, etc., the base 43 has a substantially cylindrical shape. The first plate 41 is fixed to a first surface (upper surface) of the base 43. The lid portion 241 of the housing 24 is fixed to a second surface (lower surface) of the base 43. As shown in Fig. 16, the base 43 is formed with a harness through hole 43a through which the resolver harness 27c is inserted. The base 43 is formed with a coil through hole 43b through which the coil terminal 25a is inserted. Six coil through holes 43b are formed at equal intervals (60° intervals) in the circumferential direction. In addition, as shown in Fig. 6, a hollow portion 43c in which the resolver 27 is disposed is formed in the lower part of the base 43.
[0072] Here, the cooler 4 is formed with a first cooling flow path through which a refrigerant flows. For example, water (cooling water) is used as the refrigerant. As shown in FIG. 16, the first cooling flow path has an inlet flow path 51, a first flow path 52, a second flow path 53, a third flow path 54, and an outlet flow path 55. A refrigerant is supplied to the inlet flow path 51. The first flow path 52, the second flow path 53, and the third flow path 54 branch off from the inlet flow path 51. The first flow path 52 is formed at a position overlapping half of the six power modules 35 (specifically, power modules 35U1, 35V1, and 35W1) when viewed from the axial direction. The first flow path 52 extends from the inlet flow path 51 to one side in the circumferential direction. The second flow path 53 is formed at a position overlapping the other half of the six power modules 35 (specifically, power modules 35U2, 35V2, and 35W2) when viewed from the axial direction. The second flow passage 53 extends from the inlet flow passage 51 to the other side in the circumferential direction. The third flow passage 54 is formed at a position overlapping with the condenser unit 34 when viewed from the axial direction. The outlet flow passage 55 is where the refrigerants from the first flow passage 52, the second flow passage 53, and the third flow passage 54 join together. The outlet flow passage 55 is connected to a second cooling flow passage formed inside the second cooling section 6.
[0073] The base 43 is provided with a coolant supply port 45, a groove 46, and a coolant discharge port 47.
[0074] The refrigerant supply port 45 is a hole that radially penetrates the peripheral wall of the base 43. The inside of the refrigerant supply port 45 is used as an inlet flow path 51. One end of the refrigerant supply port 45 is connected to a first joint 48 to which a refrigerant is supplied from the outside. The first joint 48 is disposed on the front side of the rotating electrical unit 1. The other end of the refrigerant supply port 45 is connected to the groove portion 46. The refrigerant supply port 45 communicates between the first joint 48 and the groove portion 46.
[0075] The refrigerant discharge port 47 is a hole that penetrates the base 43 in the axial direction. The inside of the refrigerant discharge port 47 is used as an outlet flow path 55. The refrigerant discharge port 47 is disposed on the circumferential opposite side of the refrigerant supply port 45. One end of the refrigerant discharge port 47 is connected to the groove portion 46. The other end of the refrigerant discharge port 47 is connected to an opening 242c (see FIG. 9) of the inner cylinder portion 242 described later.
[0076] The groove portion 46 is formed on the upper surface of the base 43. The groove portion 46 includes an annular groove portion 461, a circular groove portion 462, an upstream communication groove portion 463, and a downstream communication groove portion 464.
[0077] The annular groove 461 extends in the circumferential direction and is annular when viewed in the axial direction. The coolant supply port 45 opens into a radially outer side surface of the annular groove 461. The coolant discharge port 47 opens into a bottom surface of the annular groove 461.
[0078] The annular groove 461 has a first annular groove 461a which is a portion on one side sandwiched between the refrigerant supply port 45 and the refrigerant discharge port 47, and a second annular groove 461b which is a portion on the other side sandwiched between the refrigerant supply port 45 and the refrigerant discharge port 47. The first annular groove 461a is provided in the lower portions of half of the six power modules 35 (specifically, power modules 35U1, 35V1, and 35W1). The second annular groove 461b is provided in the lower portions of the other half of the six power modules 35 (specifically, power modules 35U2, 35V2, and 35W2). A first flow path 52 is formed by the first annular groove portion 461a, the second surface of the first plate 41, and the second surface of the second plate 42. A second flow path 53 is formed by the second annular groove portion 461b, the second surface of the first plate 41, and the second surface of the second plate 42. As shown in FIG. 10 , the heat dissipation fins 42a provided on the second surface of the second plate 42 are disposed in the first flow path 52 or the second flow path 53.
[0079] 10 and 16, a protrusion 461c is formed on the bottom surface of the annular groove 461 at a portion facing the power module 35 (second plate 42) in the axial direction. The heat dissipation fins 42a of the second plate 42 are disposed on the protrusion 461c. Recesses 461d are formed between the protrusions 461c. By alternately arranging the protrusions 461c and the recesses 461d in this manner in the circumferential direction, the cross-sectional area of the refrigerant flowing toward the heat dissipation fins 42a is increased, and the pressure loss of the refrigerant in the first flow path 52 and the second flow path 53 can be reduced.
[0080] Circular groove portion 462 is disposed inside annular groove portion 461. Circular groove portion 462 is provided in a lower portion of capacitor unit 34. In addition, as shown in FIG. 9, heat dissipation member 44 is disposed between circular groove portion 462 and capacitor unit 34. The upstream communication groove portion 463 is provided between the annular groove portion 461 and the circular groove portion 462. When viewed from the axial direction, the upstream communication groove portion 463 is provided so as to radially face the refrigerant supply port 45. The upstream communication groove portion 463 communicates between the annular groove portion 461 and the circular groove portion 462. The downstream communication groove portion 464 is provided between the annular groove portion 461 and the circular groove portion 462. When viewed from the axial direction, the downstream communication groove portion 464 is provided so as to radially face the refrigerant discharge port 47. The downstream communication groove portion 464 communicates between the annular groove portion 461 and the circular groove portion 462. The circular groove portion 462, the upstream communicating groove portion 463, the downstream communicating groove portion 464, and the second surface of the first plate 41 form a third flow path 54.
[0081] The upstream communication groove 463 and the downstream communication groove 464 are formed to avoid the harness through hole 43a and the coil through hole 43b. In the illustrated example, the upstream communication groove 463 and the downstream communication groove 464 are each formed of a pair of grooves provided on either side of the coil through hole 43b.
[0082] The refrigerant supplied from the first joint 48 passes through the inlet passage 51 and is branched into the first passage 52, the second passage 53, and the third passage 54. Heat generated in the power modules 35U1, 35V1, and 35W1 is heat exchanged with the refrigerant flowing through the first passage 52 via the second plate 42. This cools the power modules 35U1, 35V1, and 35W1. Heat generated in the power modules 35U2, 35V2, and 35W2 is heat exchanged with the refrigerant flowing through the second passage 53 via the second plate 42. This cools the power modules 35U2, 35V2, and 35W2. By providing the heat dissipation fins 42a on the second plate 42, the contact area between the refrigerant and the second plate 42 is increased, and the cooling effect of the power modules 35 can be improved. Heat generated in the condenser unit 34 (condenser element 34a) is exchanged with the refrigerant flowing through the third flow path 54 via the heat dissipation member 44 and the first plate 41. This cools the condenser unit 34 (condenser element 34a). Thereafter, the refrigerants from the first flow path 52, the second flow path 53, and the third flow path 54 join together in the outlet flow path 55 and are discharged toward the second cooling section 6.
[0083] <Second cooling section> 9, the second cooling section 6 is configured by the inner cylinder portion 242 and the outer cylinder portion 243. A second cooling flow path through which a refrigerant flows is formed in the second cooling section 6. The second cooling flow path is formed between the outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder portion 242 and the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder portion 243.
[0084] 17A and 17B are perspective views of the inner cylinder portion 242. As shown in Fig. 17A and 17B, the inner cylinder portion 242 has a cylindrical main body portion 242a and a flange portion 242b protruding radially outward from the upper end of the main body portion 242a. An opening portion 242c communicating with the refrigerant discharge port 47 of the cooler 4 is formed in the flange portion 242b. As shown in Fig. 9, the refrigerant discharge port 47 and the opening portion 242c are connected by a third joint 65.
[0085] The second cooling flow passage has a communication flow passage 61, a fourth flow passage 62, a fifth flow passage 63, and a discharge flow passage 64. The communication flow passage 61 communicates with the outlet flow passage 55. The fourth flow passage 62 and the fifth flow passage 63 branch off from the communication flow passage 61. The fourth flow passage 62 extends from the communication flow passage 61 to one side in the circumferential direction. The fifth flow passage 63 extends from the communication flow passage 61 to the other side in the circumferential direction. The discharge flow passage 64 is where the refrigerant from the fourth flow passage 62 and the fifth flow passage 63 merge. The refrigerant is discharged to the outside from the discharge flow passage 64.
[0086] A first groove portion 71, a second groove portion 72, a third groove portion 73, and a fourth groove portion 74 are formed on the outer circumferential surface of the main body portion 242a.
[0087] The first groove portion 71 is formed below the opening 242c. The first groove portion 71 extends in the axial direction. An upper end of the first groove portion 71 communicates with the opening 242c. A lower end of the first groove portion 71 is closed. The first groove portion 71 and the inner circumferential surface of the outer cylinder portion 243 form a communication flow path 61.
[0088] The second groove portion 72 is formed on the circumferentially opposite side to the first groove portion 71. The second groove portion 72 extends in the axial direction. The upper and lower ends of the second groove portion 72 are closed. The second groove portion 72 and the inner circumferential surface of the outer cylinder portion 243 form a discharge flow passage 64.
[0089] The third groove portion 73 is connected to the first groove portion 71 and the second groove portion 72. The third groove portion 73 extends to one side in the circumferential direction from the first groove portion 71 to the second groove portion 72. The multiple third groove portions 73 are formed at intervals in the axial direction. The third groove portion 73 and the inner circumferential surface of the outer cylinder portion 243 form a fourth flow path 62.
[0090] The fourth groove portion 74 is connected to the first groove portion 71 and the second groove portion 72. The fourth groove portion 74 extends from the first groove portion 71 to the second groove portion 72 to the other side in the circumferential direction. The multiple fourth groove portions 74 are formed at intervals in the axial direction. The fourth groove portion 74 and the inner circumferential surface of the outer cylinder portion 243 form a fifth flow path 63.
[0091] 9, an opening 243a is formed at the lower end of the outer cylinder portion 243, penetrating the peripheral wall of the outer cylinder portion 243 in the radial direction. The opening 243a is provided to face the second groove portion 72 of the inner cylinder portion 242 in the radial direction. The opening 243a is connected to the second groove portion 72. The opening 243a is connected to the second joint 66 that discharges the refrigerant to the outside. The opening 243a communicates between the second groove portion 72 and the second joint 66. The second joint 66 is disposed on the front side of the rotating electrical machine unit 1.
[0092] The refrigerant discharged from the refrigerant discharge port 47 of the cooler 4 flows into the communication flow passage 61 through the opening 242c. The refrigerant flows downward through the communication flow passage 61 and is branched into a fourth flow passage 62 and a fifth flow passage 63. The refrigerant flowing through the fourth flow passage 62 cools one half of the rotating electric machine 2 in the circumferential direction. The refrigerant flowing through the fifth flow passage 63 cools the other half of the rotating electric machine 2 in the circumferential direction. Since the multiple fourth flow passages 62 and the fifth flow passages 63 are provided at intervals in the axial direction, the cooling efficiency of the rotating electric machine 2 by the second cooling unit 6 is improved. Thereafter, the refrigerant from the fourth flow passage 62 and the fifth flow passage 63 join at the discharge flow passage 64, flows downward through the discharge flow passage 64, and is discharged to the outside through the opening 243a and the second joint 66.
[0093] In this embodiment, the rotating electrical machine unit 1 includes a cooler 4 that is formed with a first cooling flow path through which a coolant flows and that cools the power converter 3. The first cooling flow path includes an inlet flow path 51 through which a coolant is supplied, a first flow path 52 that branches off from the inlet flow path 51 and is formed at a position overlapping with the power modules 35U1, 35V1, and 35W1 of a first group among the multiple power modules 35 when viewed from the axial direction, a second flow path 53 that branches off from the inlet flow path 51 and is formed at a position overlapping with the power modules 35U2, 35V2, and 35W2 of a second group different from the first group among the multiple power modules 35 when viewed from the axial direction, a third flow path 54 that branches off from the inlet flow path 51 and is formed at a position overlapping with the capacitor unit 34 when viewed from the axial direction, and an outlet flow path 55 through which the coolant from the first flow path 52, the second flow path 53, and the third flow path 54 join and through which the coolant is discharged from the cooler 4. The outlet flow passage 55 communicates with a second cooling flow passage formed inside a second cooling section 6 that cools the rotating electric machine 2 .
[0094] The coolant is branched into a first flow path 52 and a second flow path 53 and flows through them. Therefore, compared to a case where a plurality of power modules 35 are arranged on one cooling flow path, it is possible to suppress deviation in the temperature of the coolant between the upstream side and the downstream side of the cooling flow path. Therefore, it is possible to uniformly cool the plurality of power modules 35, and improve the cooling performance of the rotating electrical machine unit 1. As a result, it is possible to improve the current density input to the power modules 35, and the output of the rotating electrical machine unit 1 can be increased. In addition, since the condenser unit 34 can be cooled by the refrigerant flowing through the third flow path 54, the cooling performance of the rotating electrical machine unit 1 is further improved. As a result, it is possible to improve the current density input to the capacitor unit 34, and the output of the rotating electrical machine unit 1 can be increased. Furthermore, since the first cooling flow passage of the cooler 4 and the second cooling flow passage of the second cooling section 6 communicate with each other inside the rotating electrical machine unit 1, the rotating electrical machine unit 1 can be made compact.
[0095] Also, for example, by disposing the power modules 35 of the same phase in each group (for example, power module 35U1 and power module 35U2) separately in the first flow path 52 and the second flow path 53, it is possible to cool the power module 35U1 by the refrigerant flowing through the first flow path 52, and to cool the power module 35U2 by the refrigerant flowing through the second flow path 53. Therefore, it is possible to cool the power modules 35 of the same phase in each group evenly.
[0096] The multiple power modules 35 are arranged in the circumferential direction, with the first flow passage 52 extending from the inlet flow passage 51 to one side in the circumferential direction, and the second flow passage 53 extending from the inlet flow passage 51 to the other side in the circumferential direction. This allows the multiple power modules 35 to be cooled more uniformly and efficiently.
[0097] The second cooling flow passage of the second cooling section 6 has a communicating flow passage 61 that communicates with the outlet flow passage 55, a fourth flow passage 62 that branches off from the communicating flow passage 61 and extends from the communicating flow passage 61 to one side in the circumferential direction, a fifth flow passage 63 that branches off from the communicating flow passage 61 and extends from the communicating flow passage 61 to the other side in the circumferential direction, and a discharge flow passage 64 where the refrigerant from the fourth flow passage 62 and the fifth flow passage 63 merge and through which the refrigerant is discharged from the second cooling section 6. As a result, the refrigerant flowing through the fourth flow path 62 can cool one circumferential half of the rotating motor 2, and the refrigerant flowing through the fifth flow path 63 can cool the other circumferential half of the rotating motor 2, thereby improving the cooling efficiency of the rotating motor 2 by the second cooling section 6.
[0098] The power module 35 is provided with heat dissipation fins 42a for exchanging heat with the refrigerant flowing through the first flow path 52 or the second flow path 53. This improves the cooling efficiency of the power module 35.
[0099] A heat dissipation member 44 is provided between the third flow path 54 and the condenser unit 34. This improves the cooling efficiency of the condenser unit 34.
[0100] Furthermore, the length of a first path from the positive conductor 342 to the negative conductor 343 via the positive terminal 35b and the negative terminal 35c of a first power module 35 among the multiple power modules 35 is substantially the same as the length of a second path from the positive conductor 342 to the negative conductor 343 via the positive terminal 35b and the negative terminal 35c of a second power module 35 among the multiple power modules 35. Note that "the length of the first path is substantially the same as the length of the second path" means that the difference between the length of the first path and the length of the second path is within a range of ±5% with respect to the total length of the first path. This makes it possible to equalize the surge voltages generated in the first power module 35 and the second power module 35. Therefore, it becomes possible to input a large amount of current to the power module 35, and the output of the rotating electrical machine unit 1 can be increased.
[0101] In all of the power modules 35, the length of the path from the positive conductor 342, via the positive terminal 35b and the negative terminal 35c, to the negative conductor 343 is substantially the same. This makes it possible to equalize the surge voltages generated in all of the power modules 35. This makes it possible for a larger current to be input to the power modules 35, thereby enabling the rotating electrical machine unit 1 to achieve even higher output.
[0102] Moreover, the power conversion device 3 further includes a plurality of bus bars 37 that connect the plurality of power modules 35 and the plurality of coils 25, respectively. This allows the power module 35 and the coil 25 to be easily connected using the bus bar 37.
[0103] Embodiment 2 18 is a cross-sectional view of a rotary electric machine unit 1A according to embodiment 2. Note that components having the same functions and actions as those in embodiment 1 are given the same reference numerals and the description thereof will be omitted.
[0104] As shown in FIG. 18, in the rotating electrical machine unit 1A according to the second embodiment, a first plate 41A is provided instead of the first plate 41. A heat dissipation fin 141 (second heat dissipation fin) is provided on a second surface of the first plate 41A. The heat dissipation fin 141 is disposed below the capacitor unit 34. The heat dissipation fin 141 is accommodated inside the circular groove portion 462 in a state in which the first plate 41A is fixed to the base 43. That is, the heat dissipation fin 141 is disposed in the third flow path 54. Heat generated in the capacitor unit 34 (capacitor element 34a) is heat exchanged with the refrigerant flowing through the third flow path 54 via the heat dissipation member 44 and the first plate 41A. This cools the condenser unit 34 (capacitor element 34a). By providing the heat dissipation fin 141 on the first plate 41A, the contact area between the refrigerant and the first plate 41A can be increased, and the cooling effect of the condenser unit 34 can be improved. As described above, in the present embodiment, heat dissipation fins 141 are attached to condenser unit 34. This further improves the cooling efficiency of condenser unit 34.
[0105] Embodiment 3 19 is a cross-sectional view of a rotary electric machine unit 1B according to embodiment 3. Note that components having the same functions and actions as those in embodiment 1 are given the same reference numerals and the description thereof will be omitted.
[0106] 19, in a rotating electrical machine unit 1B according to the third embodiment, a coil through hole 43b formed in a base 43 and a coil terminal 25a are connected with an adhesive 143 (filler). That is, the adhesive 143 fills a gap between the coil through hole 43b and the coil terminal 25a. The coil 25 (coil terminal 25a) is thermally connected to the cooler 4 (base 43) via the adhesive 143. Heat generated in the coil 25 is exchanged with the cooler 4 (base 43) via the adhesive 143. Therefore, the coil 25 can be cooled by the cooler 4. As a result, it is possible to improve the current density input to the coil 25, and the rotating electric machine unit 1 can have a high output. In addition, the adhesive 143 can fix the coil terminal 25a to the cooler 4 (base 43). Therefore, it is possible to prevent the coil terminal 25a from being damaged or the connection between the coil terminal 25a and the bus bar 37 from being poorly connected due to vibration of the rotating electric machine unit 1B, an external force applied to the rotating electric machine unit 1B, or the like, and the reliability of the rotating electric machine unit 1B can be improved.
[0107] Embodiment 4 Fig. 20 is a perspective view of a stator 21 and a coil 25 according to embodiment 4. Fig. 21 is a cross-sectional view of a rotating electrical machine unit 1C according to embodiment 4. Note that components having the same functions and actions as those in embodiment 3 are given the same reference numerals and the description thereof will be omitted.
[0108] As shown in Fig. 20, in the fourth embodiment, a second adhesive 145 (adhesive) is applied to upper coil ends 251 (coil ends) formed by multiple coils 25. The upper coil ends 251 are portions of the multiple coils 25 that protrude axially upward (toward the power converter 3) from the stator 21. The second adhesive 145 is formed in an annular shape extending in the circumferential direction. The second adhesive 145 is provided so as to cover the entire upper end of the upper coil end 251.
[0109] 21, the second adhesive 145 is provided between the lid portion 241 and the upper coil end 251. The second adhesive 145 is connected to a surface of the lid portion 241 facing the stator 21. The second adhesive 145 fixes the upper coil end 251 to the lid portion 241. The second adhesive 145 is provided so as to close an opening of the coil through hole 241a of the lid portion 241 facing the stator 21.
[0110] The coil 25 (upper coil end 251) is thermally connected to the cooler 4 (base 43) via the second adhesive 145 and the lid 241. Heat generated in the coil 25 is exchanged with the cooler 4 (base 43) via the second adhesive 145 and the lid 241. Therefore, the coil 25 can be cooled by the cooler 4. As a result, it is possible to improve the current density input to the coil 25, and the rotating electric machine unit 1 can have a high output. In addition, the end of the coil terminal 25a on the stator 21 side can be fixed to the lid 241 by the second adhesive 145. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the coil terminal 25a from being damaged due to vibration of the rotating electric machine unit 1C, an external force applied to the rotating electric machine unit 1C, and the like, and it is possible to improve the reliability of the rotating electric machine unit 1C.
