The second portion 52 is a portion that covers the rear end surface of the window glass 4. The first portion 51 and the second portion 52 are integrally formed. The cross-sectional shape of the protection member 5 in the present embodiment is substantially L-shaped. The cross-section of the protection member 5 referred to here is a cross-section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the protection member 5. The protection member 5 may further have a third portion (not shown). The third portion is a portion that covers the inner surface of the window glass 4. The third portion is integrally formed with the first portion 51 and the second portion 52. The width of the first portion 51 can be set as appropriate. The width of the first portion 51 refers to the length from the rear end of the window glass 4 toward the front. The width of the first portion 51 is, for example, 1 mm or more and 20 mm or less, and further 5 mm or more and 15 mm or less. The thickness of the second portion 52 can be set as appropriate. The thickness of the second portion 52 refers to the length from the rear end of the window glass 4 to the rear end of the second portion 52. The thickness of the second portion 52 is, for example, 1 mm or more and 15 mm or less, and further 2 mm or more and 10 mm or less. When the third portion is provided, the width of the third portion may be the same as the width of the first portion 51 or different from the width of the first portion 51.

[0024] (Slide mechanism) The slide mechanism 6 shown in FIG. 1 supports the slide door 3 so as to be slidable in the vehicle front-rear direction. The slide mechanism 6 includes a guide rail 60 extending in the front-rear direction and a guide roller (not shown). The guide rail 60 is provided on the side surface of the loading platform 12. The guide roller is attached to the slide door 3. As the guide roller moves along the guide rail 60, the slide door 3 moves in the front-rear direction along the guide rail 60. When the slide door 3 is moved rearward, the slide door 3 is in an open state as shown in FIG. 2. When the slide door 3 is moved forward, the slide door 3 is in a closed state as shown in FIG. 1. A known mechanism can be used for the slide mechanism 6.

[0025] The slide mechanism 6 of the present embodiment can move the slide door 3 so that the rear end of the slide door 3 reaches behind the front end of the loading platform 12. In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, when the slide door 3 is fully opened, the rear end of the slide door 3 reaches almost the rear end of the loading platform 12.

[0026] (C-pillar) As shown in FIG. 1, the C-pillar 7 is located at the rear end of the passenger compartment 10 and at both left and right ends. As shown in FIG. 4, when the slide door 3 is closed, the C-pillar 7 is positioned adjacent to the rear end portion of the sash portion 32, that is, the rear sash portion 32r. A gap is formed between the rear end of the window glass 4 and the C-pillar 7 in a state where the slide door 3 is closed. The C-pillar 7 of the present embodiment is configured by coupling a quarter inner panel 71 and a side outer panel 72. A garnish 73 is provided on the outer surface of the C-pillar 7, that is, the outer surface of the side outer panel 72. The garnish 73 is attached to the C-pillar 7 so as to be substantially flush with the window glass 4 in a state where the slide door 3 is closed. A weather strip 75 is attached to the C-pillar 7. In FIG. 4, the weather strip 75 is indicated by a two-dot chain line. The weather strip 75 seals the space between the rear sash portion 32r and the C-pillar 7.

[0027] 《Operational Effects》 The vehicle 1 of the present embodiment exhibits the following operational effects.

[0028] (1) The rear edge portion of the window glass 4 can be protected by the protective member 5. When the sliding door 3 is opened, even if the luggage 200 protrudes from the luggage rack 12 to the outside of the vehicle as shown in FIG. 1, the protective member 5 can prevent the rear edge portion of the window glass 4 from coming into contact with the luggage 200. Therefore, the vehicle 1 can suppress damage to the window glass 4 or the luggage 200 due to contact with the luggage 200. The first portion 51 of the protective member 5 protects the outer surface of the rear edge portion of the window glass 4. The second portion 52 of the protective member 5 protects the rear end surface of the window glass 4. When the protective member 5 has the third portion described above, the inner surface of the window glass 4 can be protected.

[0029] Since it is only necessary to attach the protective member 5 to the rear edge portion of the window glass 4, it can be configured simply and inexpensively.

[0030] (2) When the sliding door 3 is closed, as shown in FIG. 4, the second portion 52 of the protective member 5 is disposed between the rear end of the window glass 4 and the C-pillar 7. The gap between the rear end of the window glass 4 and the C-pillar 7 can be filled by the second portion 52 of the protective member 5. By reducing the gap, the design quality is improved.

[0031] (3) The rear edge portion of the window glass 4 is adhered to the outer surface of the rear sash portion 32r and is provided with a black shielding layer. The protective member 5 is the same black color as the shielding layer. When the window glass 4 is viewed from the outside of the vehicle, the protective member 5 is disposed so as to overlap the shielding layer. Since the protective member 5 is the same color as the shielding layer, it is not conspicuous. Therefore, even if the protective member 5 is provided on the window glass 4, the design quality is hardly impaired.

[0032] The present invention is not limited to these examples, is shown by the scope of the claims, and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope equivalent to the scope of the claims.

[0033] In the above-described embodiment, the case where the vehicle 1 is a deck van has been exemplified. The vehicle according to the embodiment may be any vehicle having a loading platform behind the passenger compartment, and may be, for example, a pickup truck or the like.

[0034] The protective member 5 may be provided not only at the rear edge portion of the window glass 4 but also at at least one of the front edge portion, upper edge portion, and lower edge portion of the window glass 4. When the protective member 5 is provided at the front edge portion of the window glass 4, the front edge portion of the window glass 4 can be protected. This configuration is particularly effective when the front end of the window glass 4 is located in front of the front end of the sash portion 32. When the protective member 5 is provided at the upper edge portion of the window glass 4, the upper edge portion of the window glass 4 can be protected. This configuration is particularly effective when the upper end of the window glass 4 is located above the upper end of the sash portion 32. Further, when all of the front edge portion, upper edge portion, and rear edge portion of the window glass 4 protrude from the sash portion 32, the protective member 5 may be provided in series so as to cover the outer surface and the end surface of each edge portion at all of the front edge portion, upper edge portion, and rear edge portion of the window glass 4.

[0035] The protective member 5 may extend in the vehicle vertical direction from the rear edge portion of the window glass 4 to the rear edge portion of the door panel 30. For example, the protective member 5 may be extended downward from the rear edge portion of the window glass 4, and the protective member 5 may also be provided at the rear end portion of the main body portion 31. In this case, the protective member 5 may be provided up to the middle of the rear end portion of the main body portion 31, or the protective member 5 may be provided up to the lower end of the rear end portion of the main body portion 31. Further, for example, the protective member 5 may be extended upward from the rear edge portion of the window glass 4, and the protective member 5 may also be provided at the rear end portion of the upper sash portion 32u.
