AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing screw drivers using air pressure or spring biasing face challenges in controlling the movement of the driver bit during screw tightening, and their configurations often result in increased tool dimensions along the handle's extending direction.

Method used

A fastening tool with a cylindrical rotating guide member and a flexible transmission member, controlled by a motor, allows precise control of the driver bit's movement by integrating a motor-driven rotating and moving mechanism, reducing the tool's overall dimensions.

Benefits of technology

The tool effectively controls the driver bit's movement for precise screw tightening while maintaining a compact size, enhancing maneuverability and efficiency.

Abstract

To provide a fastening tool that facilitates control of movements of a driver bit in a fastening direction of a screw.SOLUTION: A fastening tool 1 comprises: a holding member 30, to which a driver bit 2 is detachably attached, which moves in an axial direction of the driver bit 2 along an extending direction of a rotary guide member 31, inside the rotary guide member 31 and rotates together with the rotary guide member 31; a first moving member 32a, connected to the holding member 30 through a connection member 30b, rotating together with the holding member 30 and the rotary guide member 31 and moving in the axial direction along the rotary guide member 31; a second moving member 32c that supports the first moving member 32a rotatably and moves in the axial direction along the rotary guide member 31; a pulley 52 that is driven by a bit moving motor 50 to rotate; and wire 54 through which the pulley 52 is connected to the second moving member 32c, where the wire 54 extends in a direction parallel to the extending direction of the rotary guide member 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
