Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention
[0035] Hereinafter, embodiments of an element mounting means, a method for manufacturing electrode means, and a method for manufacturing a smoke detector according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited by the embodiments.
[0036] 〔Basic Concepts of the Embodiment〕 First, the basic concepts of the embodiment will be described.
[0037] The "element mounting means" is means for mounting a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element of a smoke detector that detects smoke by receiving scattered light scattered by smoke from the light-emitting element with the light-receiving element, and includes, for example, a light-emitting element side electrode means and a light-receiving element side electrode means.
[0038] The "light-emitting element side electrode means" is a conductive element for mounting while electrically connecting the light-emitting element, and the "light-receiving element side electrode means" is a conductive element for mounting while electrically connecting the light-receiving element. And this light-emitting element side electrode means and light-receiving element side electrode means are integrally formed on a common frame body.
[0039] And in the embodiments shown below, a smoke detector installed on a ceiling, which is an installation surface, will be exemplified to describe each component of the present application.
[0040] [Specific content of the embodiment] Next, the specific content of the embodiment will be described.
[0041] (Configuration) First, the configuration of the detector will be described. FIG. 1 is a diagram for explaining the installation state of the detector, and FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of some components of the detector.
[0042] The detector 100 in FIG. 1 is a smoke detector installed on a ceiling, which is an installation surface of a monitoring target area, for detecting a fire occurring in the monitoring target area. Note that the "monitoring target area" is an area to be monitored by the detector 100, and is a concept including, for example, a room in a building, a staircase room, or any other arbitrary area.
[0043] In the example of FIG. 1, the case where it is directly installed on the installation surface of the detector 100 is exemplified, but for example, it may be configured to be installed via a mounting base.
[0044] The sensor 100 includes, for example, the outer cover 11 in FIG. 1, the smoke detection unit cover 12 in FIG. 2, the insect screen 13, the smoke detection unit main body 14, the element mounting portion 15, the circuit board 16, the light emitting unit 17, and the light receiving unit 18. The circuit board 16 has a light emission control circuit for driving the light emitting unit 17 described later and a light reception processing circuit for processing the light reception signal (the signal photoelectrically converted) from the light receiving unit 18, and the light emission side connection portion 212 and the light reception side connection portion 312 described later are electrically connected thereto respectively.
[0045] (Configuration - Outer Cover, Smoke Detection Unit Cover, Insect Screen) The outer cover 11 in FIG. 1 is a housing means for housing the components of the sensor 100.
[0046] The smoke detection unit cover 12 in FIG. 2 forms the smoke detection space 122 (FIG. 1), and includes, for example, a labyrinth 121 that allows the inflow or outflow of smoke while blocking light from the outside with respect to the smoke detection space 122.
[0047] The insect screen 13 is a net for preventing insects from entering the inside of the smoke detection space 122, and is, for example, annular so as to cover the outer periphery of the labyrinth 121.
[0048] (Configuration - Smoke Detection Unit Main Body) FIGS. 3 and 4 are perspective views of the smoke detection unit main body. The smoke detection unit main body 14 in FIG. 2 forms the smoke detection space 122 together with the smoke detection unit cover 12, and the circuit board 16 is attached thereto. The smoke detection unit main body 14 includes, for example, a light emitting element opening 141 and a light receiving element opening 142 as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.
[0049] The light emitting element opening 141 is an opening for irradiating the light from the light emitting unit 17 installed on the back side (the side shown in FIG. 4) of the smoke detection unit main body 14 to the smoke detection space 122 provided on the front side (the side shown in FIG. 3) of the smoke detection unit main body 14, and is, for example, an opening that penetrates from the back side to the front side in the smoke detection unit main body 14.
[0050] The light-receiving element opening 142 is an opening for irradiating light (specifically, scattered light) from the smoke detection space 122 provided on the front side of the smoke detection unit main body 14 to the light-receiving unit 18 installed on the back side of the smoke detection unit main body 14. For example, it is an opening that penetrates from the back side to the front side of the smoke detection unit main body 14.
[0051] (Configuration - Element Mounting Portion) The element mounting portion 15 in FIG. 2 is an element mounting means for mounting the light-emitting unit 17 and the light-receiving unit 18. For example, it is mounted on the circuit board 16. Details of the element mounting portion 15 will be described later.
[0052] (Configuration - Circuit Board) The circuit board 16 in FIG. 2 is a board on which various electric circuits are mounted. For example, it is a rigid board with a predetermined shape provided on the back side of the smoke detection unit main body 14.
[0053] (Configuration - Light-Emitting Unit) The light-emitting unit 17 in FIG. 2 is a light-emitting element that irradiates light to the smoke detection space 122. For example, it is a light-emitting diode (LED: Light Emitting Diode).
[0054] (Configuration - Light-Receiving Unit) The light-receiving unit 18 in FIG. 2 is a light-receiving element that is irradiated with light (specifically, scattered light) from the smoke detection space 122 and detects the light. For example, it is a photo diode (PD: Photo Diode).
[0055] (Configuration - Details - Element Mounting Portion) Next, the details of the element mounting portion 15 will be described. FIGS. 5 and 6 are perspective views of the element mounting portion, FIG. 7 is a front view of the element mounting portion, FIG. 8 is a plan view of the element mounting portion, FIG. 9 is a rear view of the element mounting portion, FIG. 10 is a bottom view of the element mounting portion, FIG. 11 is a right side view of the element mounting portion, and FIG. 12 is a left side view of the element mounting portion.
[0056] In addition, in FIGS. 5 and 6, the optical axes of the light emitting unit 17 and the light receiving unit 18 are illustrated by dashed-dotted lines. Also, it may be interpreted that the dashed-dotted optical axis extending from the light emitting unit 17 corresponds to the "light emitting axis", and the optical axis extending from the light receiving unit 18 corresponds to the "light receiving axis". Further, FIGS. 7(a), (b), and (c) illustrate the states as viewed from the A1 direction, A2 direction, and A3 direction of FIG. 8. Also, in FIGS. 7 to 12, the X - Y - Z axes are described as being mutually orthogonal.
[0057] The element mounting portion 15 in FIG. 2 is element mounting means for mounting the light emitting unit 17 and the light receiving unit 18, and is, for example, attached and fixed to the circuit board 16. The element mounting portion 15 holds the light emitting unit 17 and the light receiving unit 18 so that, as illustrated in FIGS. 5 and 6, for example, a scattering angle 900 within a predetermined angle range is formed.
[0058] The "scattering angle" 900 is an angle formed at the intersection point P where the optical axis of the light emitting unit 17 and the optical axis of the light receiving unit 18 intersect each other, and is an angle indicated by the intersection angle at the intersection point P. Specifically, it is an angle on the plane passing through each optical axis forming the intersection point P. In the sensor 100, actually, the intersection point P is formed within the smoke detection space 122 (FIG. 1).
[0059] And although the specific angle of the scattering angle 900 is arbitrary, for example, in order to reduce the sensitivity difference with respect to various smoke particle diameters, about 60 degrees to 90 degrees is preferable, and in the present embodiment, it is configured to be within this angle range. Also, in the present embodiment, the angle of the scattering angle 900 is determined by the first element angle 901 (FIG. 14 described later) and the second element angle 902 (FIGS. 7(b) and (c)).
[0060] The "first element angle" 901 is determined by the directions in which the light emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light receiving side electrode portion 31 are directed in the lead frame 400, as shown in FIG. 14 described later.
[0061] Further, as shown in FIGS. 7(b) and 7(c), the "second element angle" 902 is determined by the inclination of the light-emitting side holding portion 22 and the light-receiving side holding portion 32 with respect to the holding member 4. Note that the angles of these two second element angles 902 may be the same as each other, or may be different from each other.
[0062] The element mounting portions 15 in FIGS. 5 and 6 include, for example, a light-emitting side mounting portion 2, a light-receiving side mounting portion 3, and a holding member 4.

[0076] The shield side lead portion 314 is a conductive wire electrically connected to the shield portion 313, and is, for example, a portion where the tip side protrudes toward the back side (-Z direction in FIG. 7(a) etc.).
[0077] The shield-side connection portion 315 (see also FIG. 16 described later) is a portion continuous from the shield portion 313 and is a portion that contacts the case of the light-receiving portion 18 mounted on the light-receiving side mounting portion 3.
[0078] (Configuration - Details - Element Mounting Portion - Light-Receiving Side Mounting Portion - Light-Receiving Side Holding Portion) The light-receiving side holding portion 32 in FIGS. 5 and 6 is an insulating portion (for example, a resin portion) that holds a part of the light-receiving side electrode portion 31, is a portion that is substantially rectangular as a whole, and includes a light-receiving side support portion 321 (FIG. 6), a light-receiving side protruding portion 322 (FIG. 6), and a light-receiving side opening portion 323 (FIG. 5).
[0079] The light-receiving side support portion 321 is a support means for supporting the light-receiving side holding portion 32. [0081] The light-receiving side opening portion 323 is a substantially rectangular opening provided at the position on the light-receiving side holding portion 32 where the light-receiving portion 18 is attached. For example, it is an opening that exposes the light-receiving side connection portion 312 and the shield-side connection portion 315 (see also FIG. 16 described later).
[0082] (Configuration - Details - Element Mounting Portion - Holding Member) The holding member 4 in FIG. 6 is an insulating member (for example, a resin member) that holds the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light-receiving side electrode portion 31, and is an insulating member that is bent, for example, so that a predetermined angle (specifically, the first element angle 901 (see FIG. 14 described later)) is formed in a plan view as shown in FIG. 8.
[0083] As shown in FIG. 6, the holding member 4 includes, for example, a light-emitting side lead opening 41, a light-receiving side lead opening 42, and a holding member side protrusion 43.
[0084] The light-emitting side lead opening 41 is a through opening provided at a position closer to the light-emitting side holding portion 22, and an opening in which a part of the tip side of the light-emitting side lead portion 211 is disposed inside.
[0085] The light-receiving side lead opening 42 is a through opening provided at a position closer to the light-receiving side holding portion 32, and an opening in which a part of the tip side of the light-receiving side lead portion 311 is disposed inside.
[0086] The holding member side protrusion 43 is a protrusion for positioning the holding member 4 with respect to the circuit board 16, and is, for example, a portion inserted into a hole or groove provided at a predetermined position of the circuit board 16.
[0087] (Manufacturing method of the element mounting portion) Next, a manufacturing method of the element mounting portion 15 configured as described above will be described. FIG. 13 is a plan view of a plurality of lead frames, FIG. 14 is a plan view of one lead frame, FIGS. 15 and 16 are enlarged views of a part of FIG. 14, FIG. 17 is a plan view showing a lead frame in a state where a holding member and the like are formed, FIG. 18 is a bottom view showing a lead frame in a state where a holding member and the like are formed, and FIG. 19 is a plan view showing a separated state of the holding member and the like.
[0088] Note that the "lead frame" 400 is a lead frame body, which is generally made of metal and includes, for example, elements constituting at least a part of the element mounting portion 15.
[0089] ===Formation of the light-emitting side electrode portion and the light-receiving side electrode portion=== First, as shown in FIG. 14, a light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and a light-receiving side electrode portion 31 are formed. In actual manufacturing, a plurality of lead frames 400 each including a light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and a light-receiving side electrode portion 31 are formed together. However, in this embodiment, an explanation will be given by focusing on one lead frame 400. Here, for example, as shown in FIGS. 14 to 16, using an arbitrary method (for example, a method of pressing a metal using a mold or other known methods), a metal light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and a light-receiving side electrode portion 31 having a predetermined thickness (for example, about 1 mm to 3 mm) are integrally formed on one lead frame 400.
[0090] In particular, with respect to the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light-receiving side electrode portion 31, as shown in FIG. 14, a first element angle 901, which is an angle determined by the direction in which each electrode portion extends (the direction illustrated by a one-dot chain line in FIG. 14), is formed to be an angle that can form a scattering angle 900 of an appropriate angle (FIGS. 5 and 6) (that is, for example, a scattering angle 900 of about 60 degrees to 90 degrees as described above). As an example, it may be formed such that the first element angle 901 is 120 degrees.
[0091] Here, for example, a plurality of fixing portions 401 are also integrally formed to fix the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light-receiving side electrode portion 31 to the lead frame 400.
[0092] Also, here, for example, the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light-receiving side electrode portion 31 may be formed simultaneously, or the light-receiving side electrode portion 31 may be formed after the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 is formed, or conversely, the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 may be formed after the light-receiving side electrode portion 31 is formed.
[0093] ===Holding of Light-Emitting Side Electrode Portion and Light-Receiving Side Electrode Portion=== Next, as shown in FIGS. 17 and 18, the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light-receiving side electrode portion 31 (FIG. 14) are held by a common holding member 4. Here, for example, as shown in FIGS. 17 and 18, using an arbitrary method (for example, a method using insert molding or other known methods), the holding member 4, the light-emitting side holding portion 22, and the light-receiving side holding portion 32 are integrally formed with respect to a single lead frame 400.
[0094] Note that here, for example, the holding member 4, the light-emitting side holding portion 22, and the light-receiving side holding portion 32 may be formed simultaneously, or they may be sequentially formed in an arbitrary order.
[0095] ===Separation of Holding Member, etc.=== Next, as shown in FIG. 19, the light-emitting side electrode portion 21, the light-receiving side electrode portion 31, the holding member 4, the light-emitting side holding portion 22, and the light-receiving side holding portion 32 (hereinafter also referred to as "each element of the element mounting portion 15") are separated from other portions in the lead frame 400. Here, for example, by cutting the connection portions with the plurality of fixing portions 401 shown in FIG. 14, each element of the element mounting portion 15 is separated.
[0096] Note that here, for example, removal of the two removed portions 310 shown in FIG. 17 is also performed as a part of the light-receiving side electrode portion 31. By this procedure, for example, each of the two light-receiving side lead portions 311 in FIG. 16 is separated from the shield portion 313, so that the two light-receiving side lead portions 311 are electrically separated from each other.
[0097] ===Bending of Lead Portion (i.e., Flexure of Lead Portion)=== Next, as shown in FIGS. 5 to 12, by bending predetermined positions of the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light-receiving side electrode portion 31, the element mounting portion 15 is formed. Thus, the element mounting portion 15 is manufactured.
[0098] (Manufacturing Method of Sensor) Next, a manufacturing method of the sensor 1 will be described.
[0099] FIG. 20 is a front view showing a circuit board in a state where the element mounting portion is mounted. Here, it is assumed that holes or grooves into which the protruding portions of the element mounting portion 15 are inserted for positioning are provided on the surface of the circuit board 16 (the upper surface in the drawing of FIG. 20), and the circuit board 16 is provided with insertion holes through which the light emitting side lead portion 211, the light receiving side lead portion 311, and the shield side lead portion 314 provided on the positioned element mounting portion 15 are inserted.
[0100] ===Mounting of Each Element=== First, the light emitting portion 17 and the light receiving portion 18 are mounted on the element mounting portion 15 manufactured as described above. Here, for example, as shown in FIG. 5, the light emitting portion 17 is provided in the light emitting side opening 223 (see also FIG. 19), and the light receiving portion 18 is provided in the light receiving side opening 323 (see also FIG. 19). The specific fixing method is arbitrary. For example, they may be fixed by engagement, or may be fixed using an adhesive (note that, unless otherwise specified, the fixing methods of other elements are the same).
[0101] In this case, for example, the anode terminal and the cathode terminal of the light emitting portion 17 are electrically connected to the light emitting side connection portion 212 in FIG. 19, that is, they are electrically connected to the light emitting side lead portion 211 (FIG. 6).
[0102] Also, in this case, for example, the anode terminal and the cathode terminal of the light receiving portion 18 are electrically connected to the light receiving side connection portion 312 in FIG. 19, that is, they are electrically connected to the light receiving side lead portion 311 (FIG. 6).
[0103] ===Mounting of the Element Mounting Portion=== Next, as shown in FIG. 20, the element mounting portion 15 is mounted by fixing it to the circuit board 16. Here, for example, each protruding portion of the element mounting portion 15 is inserted into the positioning hole or groove of the circuit board 16 for positioning, and the tip sides of the light emitting side lead portion 211, the light receiving side lead portion 311, and the shield side lead portion 314 are fixed in a state of being inserted through the insertion holes of the circuit board 16.
[0104] In this case, the holding member 4 is parallel to the circuit board 16, and the light-emitting side holding portion 22 and the light-receiving side holding portion 32 are supported by the light-emitting side support portion 221 and the light-receiving side support portion 321. Therefore, as shown in FIGS. 7(b) and 7(c), the state where the second element angle 902 is a predetermined angle (a predetermined angle such that the angle of the scattering angle 900 (FIGS. 5 and 6) is, for example, about 60 degrees to 90 degrees) is maintained.
[0105] Thereafter, the light-emitting side lead portion 211, the light-receiving side lead portion 311, and the shield side lead portion 314 protruding from the back surface (the lower surface in the drawing of FIG. 20) of the circuit board 16 in FIG. 20 are connected to the electric circuit (including the wiring pattern) or the ground pattern of the circuit board 16 using solder or the like, thereby completing the mounting of the element mounting portion 15.
[0106] ===Mounting of Each Element=== Next, as shown in FIG. 2, the circuit board 16 in a state where the element mounting portion 15 is mounted is fixed to the back side of the smoke detection unit main body 14 using an arbitrary method (for example, a method of fixing using fixing screws). In this case, the optical axes of the light-emitting portion 17 and the light-receiving portion 18 shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 pass through the light-emitting element opening 141 and the light-receiving element opening 142 in FIGS. 3 and 4 and reach the front side of the smoke detection unit main body 14.
[0107] Next, the smoke detection unit cover 12 in a state where the insect-proof net 13 is attached is fixed to the front side of the smoke detection unit main body 14 by an arbitrary method (for example, a method of engaging and fixing the mounting protrusion or a method of using an adhesive).
[0108] Next, the outer cover 11 (FIG. 1) is fixed to these smoke detection unit main body 14 etc. using an arbitrary method (for example, a method of fixing using fixing screws). And in this case, the smoke detection space 122 shown in FIG. 1 is formed, and the intersection point P in FIGS. 5 and 6 is provided inside the smoke detection space 122. Thus, the sensor 1 is manufactured.
[0109] (Operation of the Sensor) Next, the operation of the sensor 1 will be described. Since the operation of the sensor 1 is well-known, only a general overview will be provided. Here, for example, as shown in FIG. 1, the case where the sensor 100 is installed on the ceiling will be described.
[0110] When a fire breaks out in the monitored area, smoke particles flow into the smoke detection space 122 through the opening of the outer cover 11 in the sensor 100. In this case, the light output from the light emitting unit 17 in FIGS. 5 and 6 is scattered by the inflowing smoke particles, and the light receiving unit 18 detects the scattered light resulting from this scattering, and the sensor 100 will detect a fire.
[0111] (Effects of the Embodiment) As described above, according to this embodiment, by providing the light emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light receiving side electrode portion 31, for example, it becomes possible to easily attach the light emitting unit 17 and the light receiving unit 18 to the sensor 100. Further, since the light emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light receiving side electrode portion 31 are integrally formed on the common lead frame 400, for example, it becomes possible to easily form the element mounting portion 15.
[0112] Also, since the light emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light receiving side electrode portion 31 are arranged corresponding to the first element angle 901 that constitutes the scattering angle 900, for example, it becomes possible to surely and easily form a scattering angle 900 at an appropriate angle (for example, about 60 degrees to 90 degrees) in the sensor 100.
[0113] Also, by integrally forming the shield portion 313 on the lead frame 400, for example, it becomes possible to provide shielding for the light receiving unit 18 in the element mounting portion 15.
[0114] Also, since the shield portion 313 is formed by extending from a part of the light receiving side electrode portion 31, for example, the shield portion 313 can be integrally formed in the light receiving side electrode portion 31, and it becomes possible to easily form the shield portion 313.
[0115] In addition, by providing the holding member 4 that holds the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light-receiving side electrode portion 31, for example, the light-emitting side electrode portion 21, the light-receiving side electrode portion 31, and the holding member 4 can be made into one unit, making it possible to facilitate handling.
[0116] In addition, the light-emitting portion 17 and the light-receiving portion 18 are electrically connected to the electric circuit of the circuit board 16 of the sensor 100 via the light-emitting side lead portion 211 and the light-receiving side lead portion 311, making it possible to securely and easily electrically connect the light-emitting portion 17 and the light-receiving portion 18 to the electric circuit, for example.
[0117] In addition, the shield portion 313 is electrically connected to the electric circuit ground (a predetermined circuit ground) of the circuit board 16 of the sensor 100, making it possible to improve, for example, the electromagnetic shielding effect of the shield portion 313 (that is, the effect of preventing, for example, the electric and magnetic external disturbance noise from affecting the element, or the effect of reducing the influence).
[0118] In addition, by forming the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light-receiving side electrode portion 31, for example, it becomes possible to easily attach the light-emitting portion 17 and the light-receiving portion 18 to the sensor 100. Further, the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light-receiving side electrode portion 31 are integrally formed on the common lead frame 400, making it possible to easily form the element mounting portion 15, for example.
[0119] In addition, the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light-receiving side electrode portion 31 are held by the common holding member 4, and the light-emitting side electrode portion 21, the light-receiving side electrode portion 31, and the holding member 4 are separated from the common lead frame 400, making it possible to make the light-emitting side electrode portion 21, the light-receiving side electrode portion 31, and the holding member 4 into one unit and easily separate them from the common lead frame 400, for example.
[0120] Further, by bending the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light-receiving side electrode portion 31 according to the scattering angle, for example, it becomes possible to surely and easily form a scattering angle 900 at an appropriate angle (for example, about 60 degrees to 90 degrees) in the sensor 100.
[0121] Also, by electrically connecting the light-emitting portion 17 and the light-receiving portion 18 to the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light-receiving side electrode portion 31 integrally held by the holding member 4 and placing the element mounting portion 15 thereon, for example, it becomes possible to easily attach the light-emitting portion 17 and the light-receiving portion 18 to the sensor 100. Further, by electrically connecting through the light-emitting side lead portion 211 and the light-receiving side lead portion 311, for example, it becomes possible to surely and easily electrically connect the light-emitting portion 17 and the light-receiving portion 18 to the electric circuit.
[0122] [Modifications to the Embodiment] The embodiment of the present invention has been described above. However, the specific configuration and means of the present invention can be arbitrarily modified and improved within the scope of the technical idea of each invention described in the claims. Hereinafter, such modifications will be described.
[0123] [Regarding the problems to be solved and the effects of the invention] First, the problems to be solved by the invention and the effects of the invention are not limited to the above-described content, and may vary depending on the implementation environment and details of the configuration of the invention. It may solve only some of the above-described problems or exhibit only some of the above-described effects.
[0124] [Regarding dispersion and integration] Also, the above-described configuration is a functional concept, and it is not necessarily physically configured as illustrated. That is, the specific form of dispersion and integration of each part is not limited to that shown in the figure, and all or part of it can be functionally or physically dispersed or integrated in any unit.
[0125] [Regarding the shield portion] Also, the shield portion 313 in FIG. 16 of the above embodiment may be arbitrarily changed. For example, the shield portion 313 may be configured separately from other portions in the light-receiving side electrode portion 31. In this case, for example, after forming the light-receiving side lead portion 311 and the light-receiving side connection portion 312, a shield portion may be formed at a position separated from these elements.
[0126] Also, for example, the shield side lead portion 314 may be omitted so that the shield portion 313 is not electrically connected to the circuit board 16. Also, for example, the shield side connection portion 315 may be omitted. Also, for example, a shield portion that functions as an electromagnetic shield for the light-emitting portion 17 may be provided.
[0127] Also, in the above embodiment, as shown in FIG. 20, the case where the light-emitting side lead portion 211, the light-receiving side lead portion 311, and the shield side lead portion 314 are electrically connected to an electric circuit (including a wiring pattern) or a ground pattern or the like on the back side (the lower side of the drawing in FIG. 20) of the circuit board 16 in a state of being inserted through the insertion holes of the circuit board 16 has been described, but it is not limited to this. For example, after forming an electric circuit (including a wiring pattern) or a ground pattern or the like on the front side (the upper side of the drawing in FIG. 20) of the circuit board 16, the light-emitting side lead portion 211, the light-receiving side lead portion 311, and the shield side lead portion 314 may be configured to be electrically connected to the electric circuit or the like. Specifically, for example, by bending the tip sides of the light-emitting side lead portion 211, the light-receiving side lead portion 311, and the shield side lead portion 314 illustrated in FIG. 7(a) to be parallel to the holding member 4, the light-emitting side lead portion 211 and the light-receiving side lead portion 311 are arranged along the back surface (-Z direction surface) of the holding member 4, and then they may be configured to be electrically connected to the electric circuit or the like provided on the front side of the circuit board 16 using solder or the like. When configured in this way, since the element mounting portion 15 can be surface-mounted on the circuit board 16, the insertion holes for inserting the above-described respective lead portions become unnecessary.
[0128] Note that the direction in which each lead portion is bent here is arbitrary. For example, the tip side of the light-emitting side lead portion 211 in FIG. 6 can be bent toward the light-emitting side holding portion 22 side (that is, the right side of the drawing in FIG. 6), and the tip side of the light-receiving side lead portion 311 in FIG. 6 can be bent toward the light-receiving side holding portion 32 side (that is, the left side of the drawing in FIG. 6). When bending in this way, at the ends of the light-emitting side lead opening 41 and the light-receiving side lead opening 42, each lead portion can be brought into contact with a part of the holding member 4 and bent starting from the abutted part of the holding member 4, so that the workability can be improved.
[0129] (Regarding the number of the light-emitting side electrode portion and the light-receiving side electrode portion) In the above-described embodiment, the case where one light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and one light-receiving side electrode portion 31 are provided for each element mounting portion 15 has been described, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, only one or both of the light-emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light-receiving side electrode portion 31 may be provided in plural.
[0130] For example, when two light-emitting side electrode portions 21 are provided and one light-receiving side electrode portion 31 is provided, two light-emitting portions 17 and one light-receiving portion 18 can be provided for one sensor 100. In this case, the difference in wavelength and the scattered angle distribution can be combined and utilized. For example, one light-emitting portion 17 that emits near-infrared or red light can be arranged on the forward scattering side (that is, so that the light-receiving portion 18 receives the forward scattered light thereof), and the other light-emitting portion 17 that emits blue light can be arranged on the backward scattering side, and both scattered lights received by the light-receiving portion 18 may be compared.
[0131] Further, for example, when one light-emitting side electrode portion 21 is provided and two light-receiving side electrode portions 31 are provided, one light-emitting portion 17 and two light-receiving portions 18 can be provided for one sensor 100. In this case, the scattered angle distribution can be utilized. For example, the forward scattered light of the light-emitting portion 17 that emits near-infrared light is received by one light-receiving portion 18, and the backward scattered light of the light-emitting portion 17 is received by the other light-receiving portion 18, and the received forward scattered light and backward scattered light may be compared.
[0132] When configured as described above, for example, a plurality of light emitting units 17 or light receiving units 18 can be provided for each sensor 100, so that the performance of the sensor 10 can be improved. That is, for example, it becomes possible to mutually distinguish white smoke and black smoke in the smoke of a fire (that is, to distinguish the type of fire (combustion source)), or to distinguish the smoke of a fire from others (for example, dust, steam, oil smoke associated with cooking, etc.).
[0133] Note that, by providing three or more of only one or both of the light emitting side electrode portion 21 and the light receiving side electrode portion 31, for each sensor 100, three or more of only one or both of the light emitting unit 17 and the light receiving unit 18 may be provided.
[0134] (Features) In addition, the configurations of the above embodiments and the features of the modified examples may be arbitrarily combined.
