Abstract

To provide a mobile body equipped with multiplexed axial gap motors, which can maintain high motion performance and comfort even when a defect occurs in any of the motors.SOLUTION: A mobile body in the present disclosure includes: axial gap motors generating driving power to at least one wheel; a multiplexing mechanism that multiplexes and couples the plurality of axial gap motors to the one wheel; an abnormality detection mechanism for detecting an abnormality in the plurality of axial gap motors; and a cut-off mechanism that, based on the abnormality detection mechanism, cuts off the driving power from the axial gap motor, in which an abnormality is detected, among the plurality of multiplexed axial gap motors independently of the other axial gap motors, while maintains supplying of driving power to the wheel from the axial gap motors in which the abnormality is not detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
