To provide: a biaxially stretched polypropylene film that exhibits high insulation breakdown strength even at high temperatures; and a metallized film using the biaxially stretched polypropylene film.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a biaxially stretched polypropylene film characterized in that the average value of ultrasonic wave propagation velocities in all directions at room temperature is at least 1.60 Km / sec as measured using an ultrasonic orientation testing instrument.SELECTED DRAWING: None
