Abstract

To provide an ingot preheating apparatus that allows easy adjustment of heating capacity, can efficiently preheat ingots, and can maintain a fixed temperature while minimizing energy loss even after heating.SOLUTION: An ingot preheating apparatus comprises: a preheating chamber 10 serving as a space for heating and preheating ingots; and a conveyance part for conveying the ingots. The conveyance part includes a plurality of rails 20 for placing ingots 2a, 2b, and 2c and conveying them. The preheating chamber 10 includes: an inlet shutter 11 for shielding an inlet of the preheating chamber 10; an outlet shutter 12 for shielding an outlet of the preheating chamber 10; and a heater 13 for blowing hot air onto the ingot 2a placed on the rails 20 and conveyed to a position in front of the outlet shutter 12 in the preheating chamber 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

Claims

[Claim 1] An ingot preheating device that heats casting ingots and preheats them before they are melted in a holding furnace, It comprises a preheating chamber, which is a space that houses multiple ingots and heats them to preheat them, and a transport section that transports the ingots inside and outside the preheating chamber.
