To provide a wire net cage which can cope with a filling material having a small particle size while suppressing increase in manufacturing / conveying cost, and a method for manufacturing a stone-filled cage which is suitable for use of the wire net cage.SOLUTION: A wire net cage 1 for manufacturing a stone-filled cage forming a stone-filled cage structure in a cage method has a wire net cylinder body 2 formed by connecting opposite ends with a pair of abutting wire net pieces 6 and 6 having substantially half-split cylindrical shapes with connection coils 7, and a bottom lid 3 for blocking a bottom opening of the wire net cylinder body 2, wherein a plurality of hoops 5 composed of metallic wire materials are arranged at intervals in a height direction on the outer periphery of the wire net cylinder body 2. Thereby, there is provided a wire net cage 1 which enables provision of wire net pieces 6 and 6 using metallic wire materials thinner than conventional products, and is strong against impact due to action of the hoops.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
