[0118] Example 1 A laminate of Example 1 was produced according to the following procedure.

[0119] <Formation of Intermediate Layer> Butyl acetate (440 parts by mass), X12-5263HP (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 1.99 parts by mass), and KBM-603 (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., 0.18 parts by mass) were mixed to prepare a composition for forming an intermediate layer.

[0120]

[0121] Next, an intermediate layer was formed using the intermediate layer-forming composition. A lens substrate with a refractive index of 1.60 (manufactured by Chemi Corporation, S-4.00, having an antireflection layer on both sides of the substrate) was used as the substrate having an antireflection layer. The intermediate layer-forming composition was applied to the substrate having the antireflection layer using a dip coater (manufactured by Shimada Rika Kogyo Co., Ltd., ACA-001A-78A) under conditions of an immersion time of 3 seconds and a pull-up speed of 6.0 mm / sec. After application, the substrate was left to stand in air (room temperature: 25°C, relative humidity: 50% RH) for several minutes, and intermediate layers were formed on both sides of the antireflection layer, thereby obtaining a substrate with an antireflection layer and an intermediate layer. The substrate with the antireflection layer and intermediate layer had an intermediate layer, an antireflection layer, a substrate, an antireflection layer, and an intermediate layer, in this order.

[0122] <Formation of Water-Repellent Layer> Asahiklin AC-2000 (876.34 parts by mass, manufactured by AGC) as an organic solvent and OPTOOL DSX (5.96 parts by mass, solid content concentration 20% by mass, manufactured by Daikin Chemical Industries, Ltd.) were mixed to prepare a composition for forming a water-repellent layer.

[0123] Next, a water-repellent layer was formed using a water-repellent layer-forming composition. The water-repellent layer-forming composition was applied to the substrate with the anti-reflection layer and intermediate layer using a dip coater (Shimada Rika Kogyo Co., Ltd., ACA-001A-78A) under conditions of a liquid immersion time of 3 seconds and a lift-up speed of 3.5 mm / second. After application, the resulting substrate was heat-treated in an oven at 50°C for 20 minutes. Humidity adjustment treatment was not performed during the heat treatment. After the heat treatment, the substrate was further subjected to wet heat curing for 30 minutes under conditions of 50°C and a relative humidity of 80% RH to form a water-repellent layer, thereby producing a laminate of Example 1. The laminate had a water-repellent layer, an intermediate layer, an anti-reflection layer, a substrate, an anti-reflection layer, an intermediate layer, and a water-repellent layer, in this order.

[0124] Examples other than Example 1, and Comparative Examples Each laminate was produced in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the components and their contents were adjusted to be as shown in the table below.

[0125] [Evaluation] <Abrasion Resistance> The abrasion resistance of the laminate was evaluated according to the following procedure. First, the visible light transmittance of the laminate was measured using a spectrophotometer (U-4100, manufactured by Hitachi High-Tech Science) and converted based on the definition of a 2-degree field of view (light source: Illuminant C) in JIS Z8701 to obtain the luminous transmittance YA (%). Next, an 8 mm x 120 mm rubber sheet and an abrasive-containing plastic sheet of the same size were stacked and fixed in this order to the flat surface of a pressing unit having a metal flat surface. The pressing unit was set so that the abrasive-containing plastic sheet fixed to the pressing unit was in contact with the surface of the water-repellent layer side of the laminate. At this time, the abrasive-containing plastic sheet and the laminate were adjusted to be parallel. After the above adjustment, a load of 1 kg was applied to the pressing unit, and with the laminate fixed, the abrasive-containing plastic sheet and the rubber sheet were moved back and forth in a linear direction at a speed of 100 times / 67 seconds. The reciprocating motion was performed 100 times, with the relative movement distance between the laminate and the abrasive-containing plastic sheet being 30 mm. After the reciprocating motion, the laminate alone was rotated 45° counterclockwise and repositioned, and the abrasive-containing plastic sheet and rubber sheet were reciprocated under the same conditions as above. The rotation and repositioning of the laminate and the reciprocating motion were performed two more times, for a total of 400 reciprocating motions. The luminous transmittance YB (%) of the laminate after the reciprocating motion was obtained in the same manner as for the luminous transmittance YA. The scratch resistance was evaluated based on the "YA-YB value (Y value difference, %)" obtained by the above procedure. A smaller Y value difference indicates better scratch resistance of the laminate. The scratch resistance was evaluated based on the Y value difference according to the following evaluation criteria. Note that, in the case of a rating of A, no peeling of the antireflection layer of the laminate was observed, while in the cases of ratings of B and C, partial peeling of the antireflection layer of the laminate was observed, and in the case of rating C, the degree of peeling was greater than in the case of rating B. "A": The Y value difference is 0.4% or less. "B": The Y value difference is more than 0.4% and less than 1.0%. "C": The Y value difference is more than 1.0%.

[0126] <Appearance characteristics> The laminate was visually inspected under fluorescent light for defects such as condensation products. "A": No condensation products were observed. "B": Condensation products were observed.

[0127] <Initial Water Contact Angle> A 2 μL drop of water was placed on the surface of one of the water-repellent layers of the laminate, and the contact angle of the 2 μL liquid of water was measured by the θ / 2 method using a contact angle measuring device (DM700, manufactured by Kyowa Interface Science Co., Ltd.). The obtained water contact angle was taken as the initial water contact angle. Evaluation was performed according to the following evaluation criteria: "A": Initial water contact angle is 110° or more "B": Initial water contact angle is less than 110°

[0128] <Water Contact Angle After Abrasion Test> Sixteen Kimwipe Wiper S-200 (manufactured by Nippon Paper Crecia Co., Ltd.) stacked on one surface of the water-repellent layer of the laminate were attached to a 15 mm square elastic body (1 mm thick acrylic plate), and an abrasion test was performed 20,000 times with a 200 g load, a 30 mm stroke, and 70 r / min (70 reciprocations per minute). The water contact angle (paper durability) after the abrasion resistance test was measured in the same manner as for the initial water contact angle described above, at approximately the center of the worn water-repellent layer of the laminate after the abrasion test. Evaluation was performed according to the following evaluation criteria: "A": Water contact angle after the abrasion test was 110° or more; "B": Water contact angle after the abrasion test was less than 110°.

[0129] In the table, the content (mass%) of compound X and the content (mass%) of compound Y are values relative to the total mass of the composition for forming an intermediate layer. The column "X / (X+Y) (mass%)" indicates the content (mass%) of compound X relative to the total content of compound X and compound Y. In other words, the value of "X / (X+Y) (mass%)" also corresponds to the content (mass%) of compound X relative to the total solid content of the composition for forming an intermediate layer. The content (mass%) of the organosilicon compound is a value relative to the total mass of the composition for forming a water-repellent layer. In addition, the content of the organosilicon compound relative to the total solid content of the composition for forming a water-repellent layer is 100% by mass in all examples. The numbers in parentheses in the columns for scratch resistance, initial water contact angle, and water contact angle after abrasion test indicate the values obtained in each evaluation.
