Knitted hosiery

Abstract

The invention relates to knitted hosiery that is suitable for wearing as a legwear. The knitted hosiery has different properties in a first region covering the leg than in a second region that covers at least the sole of the foot and is nevertheless simple to manufacture. The hosiery has a good wearing feel and a uniform fine stitch pattern. To this end, the first region and the second region of the hosiery are knitted together in a transition region so that they are connected to one another. In addition, the first region has a larger stitch count than the second region in order to achieve the desired properties of the hosiery.
