Abstract

The subject of the application is a method of surface nitriding of metal powders, where the metal powder is placed in a pressurized container, which is then filled with nitrogen gas to a pressure of at least 1 bar and after its tight closure, the metal powder particles are set in motion, causing surface activation of the particles and the formation of a nitride layer on them. After the nitride layer is formed, the container is stopped from moving.
