Abstract

This invention proposes the design of a high-performance hybrid magnetic material for removing pollutants from industrial textile wastewater containing methylene blue. This material, a bimetallic oxide modified with plant-derived seeds, was evaluated for its adsorption capacity in synthetic wastewater saturated with methylene blue (concentration 10-140 ppm). Optimization of the various process parameters was carried out in batch mode to determine the optimal protocol for removing the target dye. This invention reveals that the magnetic adsorbent is highly effective against methylene blue, with an approximate removal rate of 100% over a very short period of 15 minutes at pH 6.48. The ease of retrieving this magnetic adsorbent with a simple magnet and its regeneration in several cycles without losing its effectiveness encourages its application on an industrial scale.
