Description

FIELD OF INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to utility tool vests for garage door technicians.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Utility vests have been in use for many years, these vests being designed to carry a worker's tools. Some vests have been adapted for specialty fields, such as electricians and construction workers. These vests have been designed with pockets, loops, rings, and various attachments to retain and carry a user's tools. Most of these vests have been made in a one-size fits all and cater to electricians and contractors. Further, most tool vests are not designed to fit average and below average height technicians.PRIOR ART

[0003] The prior art is replete with utility vests for contractors. For example, U.S. Pat. No. 4,369,526 to Clutts relates to a utility vest having a detachably secured utility apron around the bottom thereof having a variety of panels and pouches for holding tools. U.S. Pat. No. 6,662,373 B2 to Frank discloses a utility vest having detachable pouches removably attached to the lower edge of the vest. And, U.S. Patent Application Publication 2008 / 0301863 A1 to Goff et al. provides an electrician's vest having specialized pockets for easy access to tools and supplies.

[0004] Despite the efforts of the prior art, a need still exists for a tool vest specifically designed to be used by a garage door technician. Such a tool vest should include pockets for retaining pens, pockets for retaining screw drivers, pockets for retaining nuts, an element for a tape and a magnetic patch. Moreover, each of the pockets should be located to facilitate removal of the pen or tool. Such a vest also should also be adjustable in the shoulders and in the waist to accommodate users of different heights and sizes.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] Accordingly, it is an object of the present subject matter to provide a tool vest specifically designed for use by a garage door technician.

[0007] It is another object of the present subject matter to provide a tool vest for a garage door technician which facilitates retaining and removing items including pens, screwdrivers, and nuts.

[0008] It is yet another object of the present subject matter to provide a garage door technician vest having pockets located on the front face of the vest to retain pens, screwdrivers, and nuts.

[0009] It is a still another object of the present subject matter to provide a garage door technician vest further comprising a tape holder and a magnetic patch on its front face.

[0010] It is a further object of the present subject matter to provide a garage door technician vest having a belt secured to the lower end of the vest.

[0011] It is yet a further object of the present subject matter to provide a garage door technician vest having a belt secured to the lower end of the vest with means to hold at least one tool pouch.

[0012] It is still a further object of the present subject matter to provide a garage door technician vest composed of a heavy canvas material.

[0013] It is an additional object of the present subject matter to provide a garage door technician vest which can be adapted easily to accommodate users having a height smaller than the average height.

[0014] It is an additional object of the present invention to provide a garage door technician vest wherein each of the pockets is in the most desirable position on the vest to facilitate the use thereof.
